one of my favorite things is to think about new yorkers and spiderman. that post saying his identity is a well known secret and probably everyone knows who he is behind the mask but does nothing to reveal it is top tier to me i can even imagine having kids who are absolutely genius in tech having his back and help delete every shit that might leak through social media about peter and he doesn't even know about it

Love how the new PLL writers were like okay FINE fans were right to point out that A was never really a slasher villain and continuing to use that moniker for these new villains is a slap in the face to the original evil girlbosses-- Mona, Cece, and Ello Spensah-- who worked 👏 hard 👏 scheming and stooging (sometimes YEARS of preparation!) in order to torture the original liars...... so for these new girls we will call the villains B instead :)
#Bloody Rose..... Bogeyman....#oh i clocked that capital b in the subtitles alluding to Sullivan's son's killer as a distinct individual villain#he was killed in rosewood in 2014 according to the grave stone...... i know better than to hope but what if................#i think mary & alex (& their various stooges. one CANNOT forget the A stooges!) would have been lurking around rosewood at that time......#gotta have a hacker stooge a body double stooge a general hands dirty murder stooge a stooge that is being blackmailed into stoogin'....#if i could have 1 mega OG pll crossover cameo it's gotta be mona. she sweeps through town eyes rolling at rose/archie's masks & lairs. mwa!#it surely will not happen but i can dream#OR.... now not a character but basically a character... whatever happened to The Doll House? did rosewood pd auction it off? hm hm hmmmm#pretty little liars#dani talks about tv#im torn (& i think the show is too) on whether i want a series that pays more homage to the original or whether i want them to embrace#being their own thing. i think i lean more towards the latter but i am greedy & want more easter eggs/crossover too!!!#i think there is a Mom Has A Secret Crazy Twin reveal on the horizon which is peak pll#what we can all agree on though is that the 60 year old writing the spooky spaghetti side plot (i hate it. srry mouse) needs to stop#ive also noticed this season tabby doesnt quote movies every line of dialogue anymore. which means i cannot play the drinking game :(#i do think this season (spooky spaghetti aside) is stronger than s1. and NO not just because there is some sapphic activity now lol#but s1 was passable until the final episodes so theres still time to make s2 more schewpid

rewatching pll bc of the mike’s mic recaps and i forgot how wacky this show is. it’s also so problematic the amount of gross age gaps that are just. normalized. is so weird!!!!! ew. anyways this show is my guilty pleasure and it was one of the first shows i ever really loved (right up there with hannah montana and mystery incorporated) so it has a special spot in my heart.

I’m so curious on your take!
Do you feel Brooklynn being alive helped the suspense? Cause for me the show building up this all and then us finding out she’s alive made the show more interesting to me and more suspenseful. Like yes I became less anxious to know if she was dead or alive but I still feel afraid.
Also did you like the fact she was authentically cast? Cause for me the way they went out of their way to find someone missing a limb who sounded like Jenna but also had love for the franchise makes the show better for me imo
I really don't think Brooklynn turning out to be alive killed the suspense any more than Alison DiLaurentis turning out to be alive in Pretty Little Liars (to give an example about a mystery show with a character who faked her death as well). PLL was not perfect at all lmao and I didn't exactly like the ending, but it was a big show for me in my early teens and damn didn't the whole mystery have in. And after Alison was revealwd to be alive? There was still a lot of suspense about who A was, what had caused Alison to fake her death, who tried to kill her and why, what really happened that night, could she be trusted or not, drama with Emily, with her family-- if anything, that reveal made the show have more suspense and drama. Chaos Theory is very different to PLL of course, but-- what happened that night? Who exactly wanted her dead? How did she survive? Someone helped her? Who helped her? And if you're into drama, you're also waiting to see her version of things with that whole Darius stuff, but that's not even top 3 questions, the main one is "What has she been up to?" So, yeah, you're right, the reveal didn't kill the suspense, if anything it made me feel more eager.
Also, yes, I love that they casted a disabled voice actress to voice Brooklynn. Rep is important and I'm sure the show is gonna show how Brooklynn is dealing with her disability, so casting someone who knows how it feels (and who, as you said, on top of that loves the franchise and sounds a lot like Jenna) brings a sense of authenticity that I really like.

Thoughts on episode 8
Here we go again! Lots of thoughts & feelings.. So let's go!
I won't lie I was gagged when I first watched this episode. I was on the edge of my seat!
But now that I've had time to let it sit in my brain I just can't help but think that it was... lacking.. It wasn't bad, but was it good?
Reveal
I once mentioned before how I didn't want it to be Wes, but I was still shocked when he did his thing this episode.. Mrs Langsberry being Bloody Rose was fine. She was suspicious from the start, but I had other theories that I liked more. But it definitely makes sense with Tabby being the final girl.
I don't really know if I like Wes as the big bad. I didn't dislike it, as much as I thought I would before I watched this episode. But other theories captured my heart more..
Kelly
I'm glad Kelly survived. I was sure she would and here we are :D
I still don't get why Bloody Rose attacked her. It was so random, even for this movie plot thing. It didn't fit Bloody Rose at all. And then Bloody Rose standing there and watching Faran go in to save Kelly? Go girl give us nothing.
I'm sad they cut Kelly's storyline short. As if Kelly's mom just needed to have a talk with Kelly to stop literally ABUSING her?! And the weird reactions from the girls, when Kelly said there was no more prayer closet time with her mom gave me an ick.
I was also weirded out how she's suddenly included again after Imogen THREATENED to make her life a living hell. And Kelly got over her cult mindset and trauma way to quickly!
I loved her hug with Faran and I hope these two end up together. I've been shipping them since season 1.
Also, not that I care, but where was Greg? That storyline with Faran and Greg is just left in the open. Did Kelly find out? Did they just have a one time thing?? Hello?
Imogen & Johnny
The whole time after Imogen attacked Johnny I was screaming internally for someone to get him out of the fucking freezer T_T That poor guy. I thought Imogen killed him 100%! I thought that would carry out into season 3! But no.. Why didn't she call the police? I mean even in Rosewood, which has the worst police department in history, they were called when dead bodies showed up! I love Imogen, but that was so stupid. I get freaking out on Johnny and I can still excuse her knocking him out, but anything after? Questionable. Choices were made. Still love her tho.
I'm a bit sad because I came to love their relationship, despite it being rushed. I don't think they would get back together, but who knows with this show.
Dr Sullivan
I actually can't believe they butchered Dr Sullivan's character. I know she's a crappy therapist! But you can't make me believe she's so money hungry that she does all of this for a fucking book! She felt like a totally different character! In the original PLL she was still helpful and kind to the Liars and in this she had some good bonding moments with Imogen..
Why was she kidnapped in the first place? That was so random. And stopping therapy is like the last thing the Liars need. Especially Tabby and Imogen. Why is Tabby's mom okay with them stopping therapy?
I also can't get over this timeline with Archie/Dr Sullivan and the og show. It still feels out of character for Archie to randomly kill her son and only now killing her. I gotta admit it was brutal to murder her without answering her question about her son, but that whole story felt like a lie.
Clanton
AND PLEASE WHERE IS CLANTON??? It always seemed like Archie killed, because Clanton ordered it. Archie isn't actually A, Clanton is. He's the mastermind behind it. And it seems like that whole thing was just dropped?
I also thought Bloody Rose would have a bigger team. I mean it had this while Bloody Rose cult, but besides Wes and Mrs Langsberry, there was no one else involved that we knew or cared about. That was a bit dissapointing.
Jen/Noa
I was hoping till the end that Jen turns out to be evil. Especially when she accused Christian and Johnny of being suspicious, as if she hadn't suddenly turned up in Millwood as well?! That was so suspicious and I hoped they would follow through... The bar is so low and they still didn't deliver. Why did they wait until the last episode to TRY to make Jen likable?
Noa/Jen/Shawn storyline was really the biggest failure of this season and really dragged the quality down for me. As if there were no consequences for Noa and Jen after stealing money and wrecking Shawn's car?? Then Noa stealing a car (which was justified in that situation). How are these two not in jail right now???
Overall
I feel like the episode had a good pace until the time jump they did after Tabby's test. It was way to rushed!
I think I'll have to rewatch this episode. Maybe the whole season to really know whether to like it or not. For now I actually think I prefer season 1 overall, which is really surprising to me. When the first two episodes came out I was sure I would love this season more. I know many hated the reveal of season 1. I don't remember my initial thoughts I had back then, but I still think I preferred that reveal for now. Even if it was a random twin situation 😭
And where was Ash?? I thought he would have a bigger part in the reveal.. Where were the moms? Where were the parents overall this season??
That's it for now. I hope I didn't miss anything. Maybe I'll have more thoughts after rewatching the entire season

PLL: OS (Summer School) 2x06 thoughts
*Spoilers for 2x01-2x06 of Summer School + the trailer for the final 3 episodes.
*Spoilers for the Scream franchise
So. Many. Thoughts.
Okay, here I am trying a new method of breaking down this episode, because I don't think going girl by girl makes sense this time. Instead I'm going to try to group things by general topic, and then go in to further speculation.
PLEASE NOTE: I do plan to talk about some of the stuff we see in the trailer (the 2x06-2x08 trailer) and how that plays in to my suspicions/theories, so if you are avoiding that trailer, you may not want to engage with this post.
So, first up-
The Love Interests
We got a lot of time with the various love interests in this ep, so I'm just going to break all that down.
Henry - He's barely in the episode, I honestly don't think he's important. It's possible he gave info on the girls to someone at some point, but I don't think Henry is the mastermind behind everything.
Ash - We finally got a little bit more time with Ash! It did not escape me that if he were a killer, Ash does have a motive to kill Pastor Malachi (or anyone associated with the church). That being said, setting up Ash vs The Church (as they do with Pride vs Redemption House) with Ash ultimately being the villain doesn't feel like something this show would want to do. While far from perfect, it's too self aware to not see how that would imply a validation of the church's bigoted beliefs. I think the show is also very aware of the criticisms of Cece and would like to avoid falling into the same pitfalls.
Shawn - We don't see him too much this episode, and nothing has changed here. He is still behaving the way he has behaved all season, but whether or not that is genuine is tbd.
Johnny - Also not a ton to say about Johnny based on this episode (though there is one thing that I'll get to in my speculation section), as he continues to also behave the same as he has all season. Imogen did reveal a lot of personal and specific information to him, so I'm definitely keeping an eye open to see if Bloody Rose or someone else seems to utilize that information (i.e. Imogen tells Johnny about her mom's suicide being in the bath, but Redemption House stages it in her bedroom, presumably because they don't know where it was). He does also say that he understands "what that type of pain can be," when Imogen talks about her mom, so that's... interesting.
Jen - I am still very confused about what the show wants us to think/feel about this character. That is not to say that I am all that confused about how I personally feel, but the show seems to send so many mixed signals with her. Everything about her (her past, her current behavior, her motives, etc.) feels very unresolved, like every time I think I understand what they want us to think of her, they rip that rug right out again. She also seems to be getting the same weird benefit of the doubt that Christian and Johnny are (from the girls, I mean), and I have no idea why. All 3 of these characters should be under more scrutiny from the girls, for sure.
Greg - Listen, I think this episode makes it very clear (I mean, I've assumed it since the first ep, but I wasn't sure they were going to spell out this season) that Greg has a huge crush on Faran. That, or he really is trying to kill everyone, but it doesn't feel like we know enough about him personally for him to have a motive that makes sense. So, anyway, I'm just assuming it's the former. But if this is the case, it feels like set up for a potential season 3, not necessarily all that important in this season (unless he dies trying to help Faran or something, which honestly I could totally see happening).
Christian - As much as I didn't think Christian was involved early on, most of my belief of that was due to my assumption that the girls would suspect him, and that didn't happen. So, he has now shot way up my board of suspects. Since I don't believe Bloody Rose could possibly be doing all of this alone, having an alibi for a BR attack means nothing to me. Of course, the Wes stuff also makes Christian look more suspicious- Wes vanishes and then Tabby and Christian find "knock off" masks at his place? In my last episode analysis, I talked about my suspicions of Wes, and they still exist, but he also could be the fall guy, with Christian intentionally setting him up.
Redemption House/Pastor Malachi/Mrs. Beasley/Kelly/Mrs. Langsberry
Redemption House - I mean, it's not unexpected. We knew it was going to be like this, right? From the trailer, I thought that it was perhaps an indication that someone in the girl's inner circle had betrayed details of their trauma specifically (since, as they mention, the rooms feel "almost" targeted), but this doesn't seem to be the case, particularly because we never see anything like Faran's (which makes sense, it has nothing to do with the topics that would usually be covered in a hell house).
My main questions about Redemption House are- who booked it? (like Tabby's mom said it was an LLC, but as BR is feeling more and more separate from the church itself, and BR not being specifically involved in that seems like it would be a huge coincidence), and how was Rose able to take over/change the scene in Imogen's mom's room without anyone else noticing (like where was Kelly?)?
Of course, Imogen's mental health struggles and history of hallucinations is a problem for the audience here, because we don't know exactly how much of what she experienced was real. Was any of it? I tend to think yes, as what would be the odds she would imagine a letter visually consistent with the others? But we don't know for sure. It's just difficult to know how much we can trust Imogen's perspective of things.
Pastor Malachi - So... BR killed Pastor Malachi. Why? Because he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or was it targeted? Considering the beliefs he's peddling, there are a lot of people who would have motive, but who knows? He clearly didn't know or recognize Bloody Rose, so that seems to cut him out as a co-conspirator.
Mrs. Beasley - She's still weird and suspicious, but would she have killed Pastor Malachi? What would be the purpose of that? I don't mean that she necessarily would have done that herself, but if she is the mastermind, then presumably it would have been done on her orders, and I just don't see why. I would have said, "maybe he knows too much," but he didn't seem to know anything.
Kelly - Okay, let's talk about Kelly. I know a lot of people have been suspicious of her possibly being Bloody Rose, and she does have some really weird behavior, so I get it. The problem is... I struggle to see who Kelly would be organizing with in order to pull this off. When I thought it was the church, then she had a lot of allies, but now that they don't seem to be directly involved, that really narrows down who she could be working with. She has to be working with someone if she's Bloody Rose because we know where she was during several BR attacks (she was with Greg during Sandy's, she was at the roller rink during Mouse's, etc.) so she can't be BR all the time. I guess this could play into the theories that Karen is still alive, but I just don't see how they've done enough to support that kind of reveal. Kelly is suspicious, but she also seems... very tortured? Even when we see her completely alone, she seems vulnerable, which just doesn't quite add up to the kind of cold calculation required to pull all this off, so... that feels off to me. No matter what, I don't think it's possible for her to be working alone.
Mrs. Langsberry - Well, she has finally reappeared. And she is religious. I get why people suspect her. I'm not locked in with her, but I've also not ruled her out.
Other Suspects
Rebecca - Nothing new here. The "reveal" of Imogen's mom certainly adds a layer to that story, but since she does not appear and is not mentioned, I don't know what else to say.
Dr. Sullivan - Also does not appear in this episode. I still think something about her personal life/past is going to come out, but I don't think it's going to be what the Liars think.
Wes - Okay, I'm finally ready to talk about Wes. Two weeks ago I talked about the belief that Wes was behind the SpookySpaghetti films, then last week I talked about the idea that Wes might be making a real life horror movie (explaining why Rose's "tests" are so theatrical and don't really make sense if you want to kill someone), and I still think this "someone is making a movie" theory holds water, but I waver back and forth on whether or not that person is definitely Wes. I very much thought that he was likely the "big bad" after 2x05. Now, with the attention drawn to him the way it is... I'm not so sure. In 2x05 when Wes didn't show up to work, and Tabby and Christian brushed it off, I immediately thought of Scream and what Randy says about Sidney's dad in the first film when they couldn't find him, "Because he's probably dead. His body will come popping up in the last reel somewhere, eyes gouged out, fingers cut off, teeth knocked out!" Randy's kind of right and kind of wrong. Sidney's dad does show up at the end, and something bad has happened to him, but he's alive because he's meant to die at the very end and take the fall for Billy & Stu. With all the Scream references this season, it would not surprise me in the slightest if whoever is behind all this has plans for who will take the blame instead of them. And, if someone is setting Wes up, Christian would be the most logical choice- he has access, Wes probably wouldn't hesitate to meet with him alone, Christian could easily plant the "knock off" masks, and other evidence, etc. That being said, whether Wes is guilty or not, I still fully believe that the Bloody Rose plot has a minimum of 2 characters, and possibly more than that. I also think it's very interesting that Tabby hallucinated Wes dead. If the girls begin to suspect something terrible has happened to him (instead of that he could be behind things), it might push me more towards, Wes is the one behind this. So we'll see what 2x07 gives us, I guess.
Misc. Thoughts & Suspicions (***seriously Spoilers for the 2x06-2x08 trailer***)
Okay, this one just jumped right out at me during the episode, and it could mean absolutely nothing at all (could just be a matter of the set dressers having certain supplies), BUT when Tabby and Christian go to look for Wes, we get this shot-
Tumblr media
And in the trailer for 2x06-2x08, we see the inside of Johnny's bedroom, particularly this shot-
Tumblr media
Do y'all see what I see?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Wes & Johnny have big posters of Edgar Allen Poe. In my trailer breakdown (I was mostly joking), I mentioned that it was kinda weird that Johnny has an Edgar Allen Poe poster when all the rest of the stuff on his walls seem to be band/music related. I probably would not have thought anything of it again, except for the fact that now we know Wes also has a giant Edgar Allen Poe poster in his place, too. This makes more sense for Wes, like he totally would be a Poe-bro, but this is weird, right?
Part of the reason I say that Kelly can't be BR by herself, and I'm reluctant to feel she is directly involved at all, honestly, (I mean, obviously she can't, she has an alibi for several of the tests) is due to the shots of her and BR from the trailer. Also, interesting that Kelly (who seems to have become absorbed into a cult) may be drowned by Rose (and possibly revived by Faran and/or Greg?) as it calls to mind a kind of twisted "baptism." BR may actually kill Kelly, but I also think that Faran will be in this scene (due to the shots of her from the trailer at the pool at night), and that she may rescue Kelly. We've already had a scene where Faran saves someone from drowning, she is perfectly set up to be able to possibly resuscitate Kelly. But maybe she just finds her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Based on her outfit, I think it's safe to assume Faran was not planning to be at the pool, and something (a phone call? a text? a spookyspaghetti post?) has brought her here unexpectedly.
Imogen's mental state/Davie - I think we still have a lot to unpack here. I don't even know what to say about the ways Davie may or may not tie in. Motherhood is so central to the show, but particularly to Imogen, and it definitely feels like we have a piece of connective tissue missing from this storyline. I guess I should address the fact that it's not my first instinct to go, "Davie is alive!" based on 2x06, since we know Imogen's been hallucinating things.
Mouse's grandmother - just... where is she? not physically, I just mean, in what way does she matter? Does she matter?
Major suspects with no alibi during any of the BR appearances (I think) - Wes, Shawn, Dr. Sullivan, Mrs. Beasley, Mrs. Langsberry.
When we first got BR on screen, particularly when she fought Faran, I mentioned that I don't think we can trust the physicality of BR to necessarily match the person under the mask (like Ghostface). I also have always suspected that there may be different characters playing the Rose role at different times. That being said, we see slightly more "real" bits of Rose than we ever do of Ghostface (skin, hands, eye color, etc.) and if the reveals don't match that at all, it's going to annoy me a little bit.
Christian & Johnny = Billy & Stu? With all the Scream references lately, I couldn't help but have this thought when Tabby & Imogen are talking about how Johnny and Christian have hit it off. However, if they are both in on it, I think there has to be a third, as both Johnny & Christian have BR alibis at the same time (both at the roller rink, both outside in 2x06 with Ash & Greg, etc.), so then I think- Could it be Wes, Christian, & Johnny? Or maybe even just Wes & Johnny, with Christian as a possible fall guy?
Everything about the Jen/Noa/Shawn love triangle feels unresolved (I mean, obviously, since Shawn still doesn't know about the affair [or is pretending not to know], Jen robbed his house, and Noa didn't break up with him, despite wanting to) and I am still suspicious of both of these love interests (though kind of for different reasons) because why is this plot line taking up so much screen time if there isn't at least one big twist left with it? Tbqh, if I were Noa's friend rn, my advice would be, "I think you need to be single for a while," but obviously the rest of the girls don't have quite as much information as we do. That being said, I'm a little disappointed how much they all just brushed off the, "I've been cheating on my boyfriend," revelation. On the one hand, I get it, because if I were being told that at the same time as my friend coming out to me, I would want to be supportive of the vulnerability of that moment, and not make that experience negative for them. It would not feel like the right time to discuss the first part, particularly when it could come off as judgmental of their sexuality and not their actions. On the other hand, I can't help but think how absolutely merciless these girls would be if they had the same convo with one of guy characters. While I think they'd still want to be affirming of that guy's sexuality, I don't think they would ever give one of the guys a pass for cheating on his girlfriend repeatedly (much less if he were also asking his girlfriend for money for the person he's cheating with, etc. though they don't know about that). I mean, Imogen was pissed that Johnny was flirting with multiple girls when he was single and called his entire character in to question over it. While she admitted that was an overreaction, it's definitely a double standard. Sometimes I get a little tired of the feeling that the girls are allowed to behave in ways that we would find unacceptable for any other character (like honestly, don't get me started on Tabby and the locker room stuff from season 1 because I'm still not over it) and we're not meant to think too hard about it.
I can't help but wonder how Deputy Maroon is going to end up on the girl's suspect list, like I still barely know who that character is, and when you see the list in the trailer, everyone else on it finally makes sense (Dr. Sullivan because she was recording them and was Rose's therapist, the Beasley's because of their connection to the church, Mrs. Langsberry because she basically threatened them and has an obvious revenge motive, and Rose Waters because she is Rose Waters), so where does Deputy Maroon come from??
Other shots from the trailer I am most interested in-
Tumblr media
^^ Tabby falling down the stairs at Christian's.
Tumblr media
^^Someone (Imogen?) dragging someone's (Johnny's) body at the creamery. A nightmare? Or real?
Tumblr media
^^ Noa discovering something (possibly a BR mask?)
I haven't forgotten about the Online BR cult, I just don't have anything new to add.
I have seen a lot of you talk about thinking it's Mrs. Langsberry and Wes, or Mrs. Langsberry and one of the other guys (usually Christian), and I want to acknowledge that I hear, you, I hear the Scream 2 references, and I get it! I have nothing new to contribute to that conversation, but I see what you're seeing!
So, yeah, I guess this is where I'll leave you this time! As always, if you wanna talk about anything specific, shoot me an ask!

catch me liking my shadowheart origin romancing astarion/astarion origin romancing shadowheart playthroughs more than an OC tav or durge, because i am so far removed from a concept of Self and Desire that i can't feel anything unless it's by projecting onto something else.
i mean, durge is cool because of bg1 and 2 lore, and the struggle to keep yourself whole and sane makes for an interesting experience. and tav is fine because i can make a punny name out of it. but nothin beats being either one of the aforementioned monochrome bisexuals
atm i'm sick. and very tired. my brain is foggy. my period isn't fuckin around. i'm listening to mike's mic's pll recap for the 289343894032th time because i have a BIG IDEA to put together a write up of all the ways cece as A could've made sense/been good, but to do that means i have to make notes of all the ways it DIDN'T and all the plot threads that connect that big reveal to other people, and this IS important for my WIP i promise you, because while i don't talk about it much, that story is still very much 'fairytale romantasy in a dark fantasy america', and this does absolutely require making use of girlhood in modern american media (and in 'classic' psycho-horror mystery media, e.g. twin peaks).
basically it's pretty little liars meets twin peaks in a d&d campaign.

Are you able to write Veronica Hastings x shy female reader, where the reader is the same age as Spencer during the time period where Veronica is running for senator?
They’re at one of Veronica’s important senator things and while Veronica is giving an interview, Spencer goes to the bathroom and runs into the reader who is crying and having a panic attack about the amount of people.
Basically the reader gets upset and tells Spencer not to tell Veronica because she has more important things to worry about but she does anyway and she immediately stops the interview and goes and comforts the reader (while calling her ‘baby’ and stuff like that❤️)
If you just want to throw this request away you can😂 I’m sorry if it sounds like a lot. I’ve been rewatching PLL and I’ve been filled with endless ideas! Sorry if this is too detailed of a description.
Tumblr media
Authors note: I wasn't sure if the reader is just a good friend of Spencer's and that's why Veronica cares so much about her or if they are in a relationship, so I just wrote the second variant and hope I was right with it. If not then I'm sorry.
Summary: You were a normal girl with ordinary social behavior. At least until A made your life hell and years after the events have calmed down, you suffer with a violent but hidden social phobia. When a group of flashing newscasters slowly fill the small room and you feel hemmed in, you are pushed over the edge.
---
Everything around you began to hang up, almost to stand still, and you felt an oppressive warmth rising in you that was accompanied by dizziness. Your breath caught in your lungs, every way blocked the air entering it. The tension in you continuously rising.
You were afraid of situations with people that you did not know personally, which did not necessarily make your job any easier. Fear of strangers; it was not possible to assess them and they were all unpredictable. Eventually, each of them could be a monster that was after you once more.
Your hands gripped the sink with ravishing strength, the muscles in your arms tightening rapidly. White skin contoured your knuckles and revealed the fine veins as you felt your eyes burning.
The room in which the crowd gathered around Veronica Hastings felt like a pool full of piranhas ready to attack. Of course you understood that people did not care about you as an event manager who just had to look good standing in the lounge. Yet the unbelievable, cruel fear that something horribly was about to happen was kindled.
Slow, salty tears trickled down the sides of your nose and you narrowed your eyes. The black imagine in your mind´s eye instantly transforming into the memories back to the bunker in which you were imprisoned. The background noise of your girlfriends interviewers sounded audibly loud and disturbing to your ears; amplifying the monotonous ringing in your ears.
Your protective shield had crumbled under the looks of the people who seemed judgemental to you and made your existence questionable. Your strong walls had been broken down.
Frustrated with yourself and the embarrassing situation you did gotten yourself into, you smacked the white ceramic destructively. You tried to cover your ears, blocking out the voices as a deep, loud sob escaped your mouth.
You had to breathe. It was too hard to breathe. You could not. The panic in you grew steadily and tears ran unhindered down your cheeks, smearing the mascara completely. You could not stop the fear corrupting your head piece by piece; destroying your perspective of life.
You vision blurred in your reflection of the mirror. You could no longer see. No longer breathe or hear. All your senses left and all you could feel was the sharp and pricking pain in your chest, the memories that haunted you and the demons that caught up with you.
You were exposed to the panic attack and could not escape it.

"Attention, everyone!" an auditioner had risen from his seat and was crowding the front of the stage at the microphone. Amused, he waved to the audience of newscasters. He fell silent for a while, clearing his voice before continuing with a smile on his lips. "Let´s greet the Senator from Pennsylvania. Mrs. Veronica Hastings."
There was loud cheering from the crowded room; the photographers sneaking around unrecognized between the rows of seats. He had stepped aside, leaving room for the woman he had announced seconds ago. The addressed stood up from her place, renewed applause enveloped the walls and she thanked them heartily for being allowed to be here.
As the woman immediately began her preface, Spencer stood in a quiet corner of the room with some of the other lobbyists, engaged in an animated but low-key conversation. "Yes, your mother outdid herself today. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly she can host an event like this,"
The brunette sighed and finally searched around for you, the actual creator of this entire event. You were the event manager and in demand in your job as ever. You had often helped her mother and smiled on an an advertising poster for exclusive brands in every town in the are. She envied your freedom and your drive to make it this far. She was more then proud of you.
During her studies, Spencer focused on international relations. This was her dream and her chances of becoming the ambassador´s right-hand man in the near future were increased. Her career was within reach in the diplomatic field. She knew that this way she was always somehow close to her mother and you, the only people who mattered most to her besides the other girls. "Spencer?"
Her head snapped around to one of the girls in front of her and gave them an apologetic look. They responded with a friendly smile. "I am sorry, will you excuse me?" with that, she quickly downed the noble and outrageously expensive drink in the champagne glass, said goodbye to them and headed towards the bathroom to check her makeup.
A clean slate and perfection were the top priorities for this career, everything else was unacceptable.
Spencer followed the long and dimly lit room, barely making out each door in the pallid light. Gently, she ran her fingers over the individual panels that were stuck in the middle of the door and traced the lines of the writing. "Bingo,"
With a firm grip on the doorknob, she threw the door open and gave out a startled scream when she saw a darkened figure in front of her. Pondering why someone was sitting in the dark, she stepped a little into the room and waited for the automatic light to come on. Spencer blinked a few times to adjust to the brightness before she recognized you standing in front of her.
"Y/n, you scared me!"
When there was no answer form her best friend, she stood stock still and could not do anything but cast her gaze over you. The shock evaporated and she looked into dark, wide-open eyes. Fixed pupils radiating nothing but pain, fear and pure panic. "Are you okay?"
Your breathing was heavy and your heart was beating hard and fast against your chest. Trembling legs that barely kept you standing and a tremor in both hand made it impossible to move. "I think I am having a panic attack,"
Panic attack was an understatement. You felt like you were suffocating. No matter how many desperate breaths you took, there was not nearly enough oxygen in the air to fill your collapsing lungs. Your hand clutched your white blouse and it looked like you were going to throw up at any moment. "I will get my mother,"
You pounded your chest in desperation, trying to breathe life into it. The dizziness broke out, it felt like being on a sailing ship. "No, please" you only managed a pathetic snarl; you were sure you were going to choke. "She has more important things to do."
But Spencer did not care what you told her. She was intended to shout, even scream. After her mother. In the room full of other people and the Secretary of State, who had come along and embarrassing herself just to make you feel better. For her, it was important how you felt and that you needed help. "You are the most important thing in the world to her. I am gonna get her, no matter what you say."
Your best friend knew that you would only escape the swelling panic attack if you only had her mother by your side. And so she disappeared out of the door faster than she came and ran for her life onto the middle of the stage to get what you needed.
---
"Oh god, baby" she whispered softly before she lunged through the door at you, pulling your violent shaking body into her arms and hugging you tightly for a while. You cried, occasionally speaking things between sobs that she could not understand.
"Please stop crying, love. I am here." Veronica said softly and poured little kisses on your top hair. She pushed you a little bit away from her so she could look into your glassy and red-shot eyes.
The senator carefully wiped away some of the tears glistening on your cheeks with one of her thumbs before looking down at your hands, which you were playing with madly; scraping the corners of your skin until it bled.
Sighing, she took your hands in hers and held them tight to break your bad habit. The saintly tears behind your eyes burned as if you had washed them out with soapy water. Air. You needed her so badly but could not make it. Cold sweat formed on your forehead and your vision darkened. "Close your eyes, angel."
You did as you were told and more tears welled up in your eyes as your heart danced in your chest. "Well done, now try to breathe in as slowly as you can." You were drained, completely drained and your body barely obeyed. Everything rumbled inside you and it seemed so clear to you that there was no room to breathe. "Can not."
"Yes you can, I believe in you."
Your hands clenched in hers and you tried to swallow, desperately pushing the air into your lungs most possible. You pounded your chest again and whimpered in desperation. Warm hands pushed past your back and laid down on your shoulders; slowly massaging it.
"Do you remember our first Christmas together?" Veronica began, hoping some happy memories would bring you down. Her hands fell from your shoulders down your upper arms until they settled in your middle and hugged you tightly from behind. "After dinner we sat drunk on the two cuddly sofas with Spencer and laughed uproariously at the Grinch."
Like a toddler, she rocked you in front of the mirror and breathed tender warmth on your neck. Veronica elicited a quiet giggle from you and she started to grin mischievously into your soft hair. "You were curled up on my lap because you did not like his face and his mighty eyebrows."
"He is green and creepy," you began to squeeze out softly between your dry lips, feeling the air slowly enter back your lungs. The senator grumbled in amusement and looked up in the mirror. The last tears had left your eyes and the first lanes of those that had fallen earlier were already drying on your skin. Your lips were no longer pressed together but lay relaxed on each other and formed, in her eyes, into a beautiful grin. "His smile is like the smiley face from the horror movie."
She noticed how relaxed you suddenly leaned your head against her shoulder. She loosened her tight grip on you, yet not completely letting go of you and still ensconced in her embrace. Veronica gently brushed a strand of hair away from your face.
"Thanks, Ronnie. You are the only one who can calm me down during a.. well, panic attack. But you always pull it off and Iloveyousomuch," you said in one breath, watching her cheeks turn pink despite the words already said many times.
Her face hid briefly in your neck and you felt small pecks on your ticklish and delicate skin before she reappeared and lifted your chin towards her with her index finger so that you had to look at her. Once again, you smiled at her before she started to speak. "Iloveyoutoo," she said, grinning. In one breath, imitating you.

Ok I think I've only posted about Pretty Little Liars on this blog once so y'all probably don't know this but for a while there I was obsessed with PLL. And tonight I need to talk about it
It is horrendous. It is the best show I have ever watched. It is a comedy romance drama mystery thriller soap opera. It is the worst thing I have ever seen in my life and it is Magnificent.
If I ever found out a relationship like Ezaria was happening around me in real life I would CallThePolicePutThatManInJail
Troian Bellisario, Actress, Goddess, she should have won an Emmy and a Tony and an Oscar for this performance.
The people who wrote this show should be investigated for something. For what, I don't know. Mental Illness. A serious case of Wattpad Writer Syndrome.
The reveals? Some of the best ever put on television. Some of them make Absolutely No Fucking Sense.
It is a Mess. It is a Masterpiece.
