My 25 years of palaeoart chronology...
In 2010 I created two large acrylic paintings for the GeoCenter Møns Klint, Denmark. Here are some close-up sections of the first, a Cretaceous wide view including Mosasaurus, Plioplatecarpus, a giant squid, Anomotodon, and others.

Three-dimensional dental microwear in type-Maastrichtian mosasaur teeth (Reptilia, Squamata)
Published 9th November 2023
Researchers use three-dimensional dental microwear texture analysis on mosasaurs and extant reptiles to provide quantitative dietary constraints for Type-Maastrichtian mosasaurs and assess levels of niche partitioning between taxa by analysing and comparing teeth characteristics.
(a)Type-Maastrichtian area in the southeast Netherlands and northeast Belgium with the most important quarries indicated, (b) The five analysed mosasaur taxa: Mosasaurus hofmanni, Prognathodon saturator, Prognathodon sectorius, Plioplatecarpus marshi and Carinodens belgicus.
Principal component textural analysis of three-dimensional microwear textures in extant reptiles and mosasaurs.

Oc-tober day 22: Oar-fin.
The tribe fishes a lot, and so has gotten a few onlookers! One of them is a Plioplatecarpus named Oar-fin. It follows fishing boats and sometimes corrals fish to nets. This way they also receives a portion of the catch.
Oar-fin is rather small (for a mosasaur) and isn't aggressive towards tribespeople. Not even if one is swimming in front of them.

Plioplatecarpus marshi, P. depressus, P. primaevus, P. houzeaui, P. peckensis
Art by: Nick-Rafael Danis, https://www.deviantart.com/nrd23456/art/Plioplatecarpus-primaevus-740369798
Name: Plioplatecarpus marshi, P. depressus, P. primaevus, P. houzeaui, P. peckensis
Name Meaning: More Platecarpus (More flat wrist)
First Described: 1882
Described By: Dollo
Classification: Chordata, Tetrapoda, Reptilia, Squamata, Mosasauridae, Plioplatecarpinae
Plioplatecarpus had large eyes for a mosasaur. The development of big eyes may be an adaptation to see better in deeper and murky waters, this adaptation is typically seen in Ichthyosaurs. The amount of teeth within Plioplatecarpus suggest that it may have specialized in hunting smaller sized prey. Anyways, Plioplatecarpus lived in North America’s Western Interior Seaway and in addition, it had fossils discovered in The Netherlands and in Sweden as well.

Update Time: Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Animals In Mass Media
A while back, I did a post on my findings for Dinosaur Representation in Film. Thanks to a project I’ve been aiding with, I’ve been able to greatly expand my media intact. From what I could watch (excluding the Simpsons, because how the hell am I gonna ID prehistoric life that cartoony), here are the top 10 prehistoric animals of various groups I’ve been able to log until about March of this year. Youtube always puts out something new, so I had to cut off some things. This covers Movies, TV Shows, Educational Shorts, Direct to Video productions, Youtube Channels, and Youtube videos (for not largely dedicated prehistoric channels/playlists). This involved a lot of IDing I had to do myself. So when a documentary showed a mural or sculpture, I did my best to either deduce or track down the thing so I could ID things properly. Crystal Palace and Age of Reptiles showed up a LOT. I even counted background skeletons for various museum shots when I could. Because I was going ALL IN on this. And things that used 60% stock footage were not counted to avoid repetition. That said, footage from The Lost World (1925) got used a LOT, like, into the 21st century even! As a final side note: SCREW Trilobites! They’re almost never IDed, and there are 40,000 of them! Here is what I found out:
