I wanna know what goes through director’s heads whenever they make film adaptations of “The Brothers Karamazov”. I straight up watched a version where Alyosha just wasn’t in the movie. The MAIN CHARACTER of the book... wasn’t in the movie. Also they are always cast so old. Alyosha is 20 and Ivan I believe is 23, but in every version they look like they are approaching 40. I swear I would sell my soul to see an accurate and well done adaptation of this book.

Sweetpea, Sweetpea, what a rollercoaster ride this book is and one where I have to say, I didn’t want to get off. I first read it on my Kindle years ago but my love for it was re-ignited when I joined the #bitcrackbookclub for a buddy re-read recently. ⁣ ⁣ Once you meet the female lead and anti-heroine Rhiannon, she’s definitely difficult to forget. Settled with a boyfriend and a dog and working in a menial job as an editorial assistant, Rhiannon seems just like a normal girl. Except of course for the little list she keeps of people she wants to bump off because they’ve disgusted her in some way or that they “deserve” it. ⁣ ⁣ Rhiannon was the victim of a heinous crime as a child and has undergone a minor celebrity status because of it with some memorable moments on a TV morning chat show. She gets through each day by making plans to rid the world of its most unworthy subjects and it’s absolutely crazy how invested you become in her story - she’s very convincing and is the perfect likeable unlikeable character! ⁣ ⁣ Rhiannon is a character I think everyone can sympathise with in the smaller, less violent aspects of her life and there were certainly darker parts of my psyche that were rooting for her in some circumstances. Sweetpea is a daring, imaginative and unique look into the mind of a female killer. It’s a book I know I’ll re-read again in the future and it’s put the author, @ceejayismeeejay on my must-buy list for anything she releases in the future. ⁣ ⁣ I’m hoping to get to the second in the series, In Bloom soon but I’m so excited to see the development of Rhiannon’s character, particularly considering the ending of Sweetpea which literally had me on the edge of my seat. ⁣ ⁣ Five incredible stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ⁣ ⁣ #bookstagram #bookstagramuk #bookreview #bookreviews #fivestarreads #fivestarreview #readingonmykindle #sweetpea #cjskuse #favouritebooks #femaleserialkillers #thrillernovels #pleasereadthisbook #memorablereads #booksthatleaveyoushook https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbz1Zi-gdvg/?utm_medium=tumblr

Though it’s Legends now, did you know that "that business on Cato Neimoidia" can be found in the book Labyrinth of Evil by James Luceno? During a mission to capture Nute Gunray, Obi-Wan accidentally inhales hallucinogens and requires Anakin to come to his "rescue."

When the final droid collapsed, Obi-Wan aimed the blade of his lightsaber casually toward the floor and stood swaying in place, breathing hard but almost grinning.
“Anakin,” he said happily. “How are you?”
When Anakin went to him, Obi-Wan promptly collapsed in his arms.
We say "rescue" because before Anakin gets there, Obi-Wan takes out 50 battle droids all by himself using a new lightsaber form that only comes from being completely stoned.
No wonder he didn't want Anakin counting it towards their running total.

This book is great not only because you get to learn a lot more about General Grievous, but its Anakin and Obi-Wan moments remain some of our personal favorites...particularly the part where they get drunk and order a bunch of appetizers. #JediCantinaCrawl #PleaseReadThisBook

Title:  The Murder House Author:  James Patterson Date Finished:  Definitely sometime in early June (Not even sure why this is relevant...)
So I distinctly remember reading this on the way home from Mexico this summer and I was finding it difficult to concentrate thanks to the uncomfortable turbulence that was gracing our flight home.  Regardless, this book was amazing.  I know I say that about all his books and if you’re looking for an unbiased James Patterson opinion you might want to look elsewhere, but I REALLY LOVED THIS ONE.  A gruesome murder takes place in an old, abandoned mansion in the Hamptons and Detective Jenna Murphy takes on the case.  She is running from a tragic event in her past at the same time as she is trying to put the pieces together of what is quickly becoming the work of a serial killer.  At the same time, she gets mixed up with the character of Noah Walker, who is also sorting through his messy past.
This book was fast-paced, descriptive, constantly changing time periods and points of view... I mean, it had it all.  When the mansion was being described for a number of the scenes, I felt like I was there.  I really connected to Jenna, who is my favorite female character of James’ second to Lindsay Boxer.  Her fear, yet brevity to take risks and push forward made her an inspiring character.  I just couldn’t stop reading this book.  And then at the end, when all of the pieces came together, I was truly amazed, but not surprised.  Read this.  That is all. :)
