my initial thoughts and theories for the empyrean book 4

xaden has three signets

dain and sloane 100% become a couple

imogen's butch lesbian arc (i'm so sorry i love you garrick) (i'm clowning on this one but imogen u are always a butch lesbian in my eyes) (though actually now that i think of it, i'm almost certain garrick is one of the missing characters so he won't be around imogen much. she could move on from her crush and get a gf.<3)

garrick is venin

we're def going to learn more about violet's grandma

potentially violet is venin. tho this one i'm the least certain about. i also don't want it to be real. i love you violet

mira and drake get together

we learn more about violet's dad, their time on the isles, and why he went by a different surname for a bit (i think it was daxton?)

we learn who turned venin that lilith wanted to cure (violet's dad? maybe the cure was for violet herself since it was said she might turn venin? i'm maybe leaning towards the later. maybe lilith asked for a cure BEFORE asher took her to be dedicated and they tried everything before trying the temple)

speaking of which, why did they not complete the dedication? what happened there? who intervened?

we learn more about the irids

we get a "there's nowhere in existence you could go that i wouldn't find you, husband." from violet when she finally finds xaden

xaden has been longingly watching her from the shadows the entire time and we get lots of references to shadows

so there was a tale in fourth wing about three siblings and one who took power from the ground. i initially thought that either violet, brennan or mira would become venin to kind of mirror this fable, but now we know that xaden also has two siblings. maybe he is the one mirroring the fable?

what i don't have theories on however is:

why did violet ask imogen to take her memories away?

when and exactly how did xaden propose to and marry violet? i cannot believe this happened and we didn't get to see it 😭😭😭 and why would violet agree to forgetting that part???

what happened in those 12 hours aside from an entire marriage???

i need answers!! i've never read a series while it was still being written before. i always find them 10 years later. i've never been thru this waiting before. how do you guys cope
