Summary: Take one-sided Geraskier in canon and make it two-sided in fanon. Friends to Lovers + Unrequited Love Becoming Requited + Angst with a Happy Ending, just like god intended.

New Chapter: Jaskier is tortured for information about Geralt. He doesn't give any up. He also dies (or so he thinks). Find out what actually happens in newest update to “Am I not too broken to love?”

His despair and anger flares so powerfully it drowns out the pain for one blissful moment. He is not going to take this. Jaskier gurgles loudly for Szymon's attention as the third tooth clatters on the stone floor, as if he wants to say something. Szymon pauses, then nods to Jakub who pulls out the instrument holding his mouth open.

Jaskier’s pants come out in ragged croaks. “I’ll tell you. But you’ll- you’ll need to write this down.”

Szymon lets out a relieved sigh and Jakub instantly fetches him a small notebook and quill.

Blood dribbles onto Jaskier’s bare chest, streaking long red lines down his front.

“Listen carefully as I spell. E. M. E. T. I. B.”

Szymon’s brow furrows in confusion as he scribbles down Jaskier’s “confession.”

“Now reverse it.”

Satisfaction flashes briefly through his pain-addled mind as Jaskier watches Szymon’s gaze go from confusion, to realization, to anger when he sees “BITE ME” in his notebook. 

Afterwards, Jaskier repeatedly loses his place as he attempts to count the gaps in his mouth with his tongue, before passing out once more.
