you mentioned a tadc x ffxiv au a bit ago, and i've been very curious about your ideas on that! sooo hassel and/or caine thoughts in ffxiv?

hiya!! thank u for the question! i'll admit i was. very high when i made that post LMAO and i havent really thought or developed the idea any further.

it came about because i was finishing up dawntrail on a roleplay alt. i really enjoy interphos even if my overall feelings towards dawntrail were mixed (not bad i just wish they didn't pull a stormblood 2.0 with it) but ANYWAYS i digress.

(slight dawntrail spoilers, obviously. also really recommend you check out the phase 1 music for queen eternal by itself. it slaps so hard)

in this au i would imagine caine to be similar to sphene. maybe not intentionally uh. killing a bunch of people for their aether but still ultimately powerless against his core programming. perhaps the circus could be the game's version of living memory and the crew get trapped there as pseudo-endless... maybe the circus is a shard's last ditch effort at preserving humanity through technology. idk. lots of possibilities

that's all i really got anyways :') as much as i love caine being capable of emotions he's still a program at the end of the day. some things you can't change. Unless? 👀

other than that i've debated on what class hassel would be and. honestly probably summoner LOL

gangle - pictomancer. for obvious reasons

zooble - honestly its a tie between reaper and dark knight. or black mage. i cant decide 💔

jax - warrior though i can see viper or gunbreaker working too

kinger - scholar :] faeries are a type of bug if you squint hard enough
