Thank you @stellanslashgeode for the tag I absolutely love playing tag games and love any chance to blab about fic writing ā˜ŗļø itā€™s an honor to be recognized by the author of Contrasts!
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
11 works; 8 completed and 3 of them being ongoing pieces.
2. Whatā€™s your total Ao3 word count?
350,036 words šŸ˜³
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Exclusively Star Wars for, specifically prequel era characters.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
The Padawans (324 kudos), Master and Apprentice (136 kudos), Finding The Light (81 kudos), Luminara and Barriss (77 kudos), and The Second Daughter of Luminara Unduli (70 kudos)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Every single one of them I will comment back on because if youā€™re kind enough to leave a comment on my work, the least I can do is give you a response. Comments literally make my day faster than anything else ā¤ļø
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Itā€™s a toss up between Traveling With The Stars, The Day of Love, and Primroses.
7. Whatā€™s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The Padawans
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Thankfully no, Iā€™ve been pretty lucky but even if I did I wouldnā€™t care.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I write implied/light sex scenes but nothing smutty; itā€™s weirdly enough not my favorite thing to write about but Iā€™m not really good at it personally. Like sex to me is easier to just do instead of describing it. Iā€™ll try improving on it but then again I want my works to reach a wider audience because some people donā€™t like sex scenes at all.
10. Do you write crossovers? Whatā€™s the craziest one youā€™ve written?
No and I have no desire to write any crossover because that is a lot of work and theyā€™ve never been my personal favorite stories to read.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I would be so honored if any of them ever did!
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! With the amazing @mini-and-mighty on the work Master and Apprentice (that we most definitely need to collaborate and finish sometime!) and Iā€™d love to do it more with whoever is interested!
13. Whatā€™s your all-time favorite ship?
Barrissoka (Ahsoka Tano x Barriss Offee) of course!
14. Whatā€™s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I always intend on finishing all of my projects otherwise I wouldnā€™t write them to begin with so eventually things will be completed.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I feel that Iā€™m good at putting action sequences into words that readers can follow easily, developing the characters and creating complete arcs for them beginning to end, inputting all the right references, laying down and managing multiple story threads that make sense later on, and keeping readers engaged. Unless it is a one shot I love putting all sorts of twists and turns with good endings that are either happy or end in a cliffhanger. Above all, I believe Iā€™m really good at creating meaningful, emotional stories; none of them are dull or one dimensional.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sex scenes and world building.
17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
ā€¦I donā€™t do it šŸ¤£ unless Iā€™m completely fluent in another language it ainā€™t happening because I donā€™t like to make up languages either.
18. First fandom you wrote for?
Star Wars of course!
19.) Favorite fic youā€™ve written?
Thatā€™s like asking what my favorite child is because I love all of them for different reasons but I would have to go with The Padawans just because Iā€™ve put the most blood, sweat, and tears into that one and Iā€™m so proud of it. That story also finally put me on the map of Barrissoka fanfiction and Iā€™ve met so many friends through its creation along with my wife so yes it will always have a special place in my heart. But I think Luminara and Barriss is going to be sharing the first place spot once itā€™s finished.
No pressure tags: @devondeal @bluedeedeedoop @mini-and-mighty @kaaragen @archduke42 @skygirlstars and all my other fic writing friends that wanna join in!
20 Questions for Fic Writers
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 49. I have a few options for #50ā€¦
2. Whatā€™s your total Ao3 word count? 299,440. Ok, I hadnā€™t realized I was that close. Now, my answer to #1 might be ā€œa new 560-word drabble.ā€
3. What fandoms do you write for? Iā€™m nearly exclusively writing for Avatar: Legend of Korra, with a little bit of Last Airbender, where it fits in.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1. Rainstorm - Su is there for Lin, for once. 2. The Well of Need - My first long-form story, with Lin taking care of Kya. 3. This is My Anchor - A mid-sized Kyalin story where Lin doesnā€™t make Kya take care of her. 4. Iā€™m Sorry I Need You - An angsty one-shot that fits with a couple others in the ā€œmarriage is hardā€ domain. 5. Walk With Me - A longer-than-intended one-shot variant on a Tumblr joke.
5. Do you respond to comments? I do, as soon as I can. Sometimes, that means getting off work. Sometimes, that means giving a response as meaningful as the comment was to me.Ā
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? For complete stand-alone stories, that is likely Something Changed, where the last words are usually joyous. I canā€™t find the link for the worst-worst ending I have, so just pretend that never happened.
7. Whatā€™s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? The happiest ending? I like my happy endings, so this is tough. But I think Iā€™ll go for Elemental Changes, because that launched my collaboration with @slowdissolve on Red Jade.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not hate, exactly. One reader informed me that I had ā€˜let them downā€™ on a follow-up story because I didnā€™t write the story that was in their head.Ā
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Iā€™ve done a little, but it hasnā€™t been a focus for me. And, aside from the polyamory aspect, itā€™s all as vanilla as it comes.
10. Do you write crossovers? Whatā€™s the craziest one youā€™ve written? Not unless you count LOK + ATLA a crossover, which I donā€™t.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not to date.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? @slowdissolve and I wrote Moonsigns together, and we published two versions. One is told in first-person language and color coded, on Tumblr. We then followed it up with a more traditional third-person version that does not rely on color, on AO3.
14. Whatā€™s your all-time favorite ship? Kyalin is where everything opened up for me.Ā
15. Whatā€™s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Iā€™m taking quite the long view of all of this. I havenā€™t added to Their Sacred Year in a while, but have the outline for the next installment, so I donā€™t consider it abandoned.
16. What are your writing strengths? Folks seem to like my dialogue and plotting.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I struggle with the final rising action / climax / falling action, to keep the pacing appropriate to the story.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I donā€™t plan on it, given I am uneducated in the languages appropriate to this setting.Ā
19. First fandom you wrote for? Legend of Korra.
20. Favourite fic youā€™ve written? Saving the hardest for last. Naming the favorite child. Ok, fine. In that case, Iā€™ll have to choose <wrestles with self> Elemental Changes (see #7), mostly because itā€™s a completely off-the-wall idea that I was able to see through and complete. And to have Slowdissolve illustrate the ending was an absolute capstone.
So I get to thank both @krastbannert and @wishingforatypewriter for their invitations!
Now, it's time to throw the floor open to folks like @yell0wsalt, @dont-blame-it-on-the-kids, @linguini17, @frogblast-the-ventcore, @badlucksav, @cdlunee, and of course,
you.

Hello, friend. šŸ–¤šŸ¤šŸ“–šŸ’€ for the ask game, please. šŸ™
Hello there friend šŸ’™šŸ’š Thank you for the ask and thank you for choosing some questions that really make me think šŸ¤” letā€™s do this!
Link to the original ask questions below if yā€™all wanna play along which please do because I love to snoop šŸ‘€
šŸ–¤- Which character is not as morally good as everyone seems to think?
Dooku and yes I know heā€™s a Sith Lord and not considered a hero by any means but since the Tales of the Jedi episodes (which I love btw donā€™t @ me there) but I feel that fandom kinda looks at him like they do with Anakin. That even though Dooku and Anakin have done HORRIBLE INEXCUSABLE crimes that killed so many people and betrayed their loved ones that just because they ā€œhad their reasonsā€ then that makes them worthy of sympathy when in reality that shouldnā€™t be the case. Dooku didnā€™t do what he did for the greater good or to serve others; he did what he did to serve himself and what he wanted. Dooku knew what the Empire was going to be (I.e. an all human regime that oppress alien races) and yet still went along with it thinking he could rule that regime himself one day. I donā€™t care that he was hurt by losing Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan; he still hurt and betrayed them regardless. If you ever read the Master and Apprentice book by Claudia Gray, you would come to find out Qui-Gon was 1.) terrified of Dooku because of his very dark actions 2.) Overlooked him for his first Padawan (Aveross I think his name was?) and 3.) Fixated on his own interests over being a proper teacher for Qui-Gon. In short, Dooku is a pretentious self serving privileged man of status and power and thatā€™s that. The moral compass he has is whatever benefits him.
šŸ¤-Which character is not as morally bad as everyone else seems to think?
Mace. Windu. For fucks sake yā€™all he is NOT a bad man! Had it not been for Anakinā€™s choices, he would have ended the Clone Wars once and for all and brought peace to the galaxy avenging every single soul who have lost their lives or sacrificed so much in the war that never needed to happen. Anyone who has read the Legends Shatterpoint novel or pay attention to Maceā€™s actions/words in the Clone Wars show and in the movies can see that Mace is a very admirable Jedi that anyone should look up to. His fighting style is all about using the Dark Side against those who use it which means this man has had to master his own demons for sake of doing good. That is a very rare quality even amongst the Jedi. He stays true to himself and Jedi philosophy within reason despite others trying to sway him. He also raised Depa who we all know is a wonderful woman who went on to teach Kanan who was a great Jedi. So yes, Mace was more than deserving of his rank and if he was such a bad man who come no one in his lineage ever turned to the Dark Side or left the Order? Clearly he was doing something right. And donā€™t even go down the tone deaf ā€œhe was mean to Anakinā€ route because Mace was always understanding, trusting, and respectful of Anakin, he was just trying to save Anakin from himself. We love and respect Mace Windu in this house šŸ’œ
šŸ“–-If you had to remove one book from the series, which would you choose?
The Ahsoka book for sure, sorry to those who like it but itā€™s not for me and thatā€™s okay since not all books are gonna be everyoneā€™s taste. As a Barrissoka stan I canā€™t stand whatshernuts constantly being up Ahsokaā€™s ass and causing her problems. Ahsoka was doing just fine on her own trying to survive after very traumatic events, losing everything she knew, and learning to survive in a galaxy that wants you dead for who you are until of course the stupid ass village needed saving. The book could have had a much better plot. The only parts of the book I liked where when Ahsoka was alone in her thoughts processing and trying to decide her next move. We could have had a very healing story much like Obi-Wan did in his show but nope. Furthermore, Iā€™ve got beef with E.K Johnson for many reasons, the major one being that sheā€™s a very ignorant person that tries to be the ā€œwhite saviorā€ soā€¦ yeah not fond of her work, her views of these characters we love so much, or the story she made for Ahsoka.
šŸ’€-If you had to choose one major character to die, who would you choose?
Palpatine of course because without out him the entire galaxy would be spared from mass genocide, destruction, pain, suffering, and pure evil. All of our favorite characters would have a much happier ending šŸ˜ we also wouldnā€™t have dickheads like Tarkin rising to any position of power.
