it's a scream, baby! | hyunlix
chapter two: who's there?
words: 1.52k // warnings: discussions of death, cursing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“kang heejin? no fucking way - she sits next to me and seungmin in penology!” (y/n) couldn’t shake the disbelief from her features, despite the alarming truth in what jisung had told her.
“yeah, well not anymore. her parents found her on the kitchen floor last night. apparently it was a bloodbath, and there’s nothing to point towards any suspects. suho’s blaming himself because he flaked on date night - i heard he’s dropping out over it.”
suddenly the outside presence on their usually normal and quiet college campus added up.
“fuck. in woodsboro? it doesn’t make sense - the worst thing that’s ever happened here is when they closed blockbuster.”
jisung chuckled at that as the pair headed towards the quad to meet their friends. “that’s what i’m saying, man. everyone’s freaked. jeongin’s already asked if we can all crash at yours tonight so he knows we’re all safe.”
(y/n) shook her head, an small smile on her lips. jeongin was always the easiest to scare out of all their friends - heck, he refused to watch chucky anymore after their last group movie night.
“i’m just glad it wasn’t one of you guys.” she sighed, reaching their table already with 7 seated at it.
“we’re just glad it wasn’t you. we’ve all been calling you all morning and no one got an answer!” minho cried from his position on seungmin’s lap, brows furrowed in worry. scanning the table, (y/n) could tell everyone had let out a sigh of relief as soon as they saw her. shit. she really didn’t mean to make them worry.
“sorry, guys. i stayed at yeji and nari's last night for a study session, remember? phone died last night and i forgot to take my charger with me. did none of you think to call yeji and make sure i was still with her?”
jeongin scoffed at the assumption. “of course we did. you really think we wouldn’t after we find out some maniac gutted heejin in her own home last night? yeji’s the only reason everyone wasn’t hammering on our door this morning.”
chan cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention - he was kind of like the dad and the leader of the group, so everyone listened to his every wish and whim. “i heard the sheriff and deputy are going to be questioning everyone today. students, teachers, janitors, the lot.”
“they think its school related?” felix yelped, shocked at the idea that the murderer could be anywhere on campus right now. “surely, that means anyone could be a target?”
“well, they have no idea, do they? so, school and family is a good place to start, then if not they widen the search.” (y/n) claimed, finally her studies in criminology coming to use.
“but i suppose… if there’s no motive, yeah, anyone could be a target.” seungmin agreed, sharing a look with (y/n) as if to mutually agree the group should take a lot more precautions.
jisung huffed at that, making a dramatic show of rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. “oh, please. its the millennium; motives are incidental.”
everyone let out a giggle at that - jisung had a habit of taking unimportant subjects too seriously. in any respectable slasher movie, he’d be the nerd who knows too much and chastises everyone for not following the survival rules.
“s’a bit of a big word for you, huh?” minho laughed, the expression taking over his body as his shoulders shook against seungmin’s chest.
as jisung’s face reddened, he flipped everyone off. “fuck you all, i’m gonna be the only one who survives this shit.”
“nah, not a chance. (y/n)’s our final girl, not your dumbass.” hyunjin cackled, slapping jisung on the back as the bell rang. “see you all in the cafe after class?”
the group said their goodbyes, seungmin joining (y/n) as they headed to their shared class for the morning. “man, here’s to hoping its a one-off robbery gone wrong, huh?”
but being in the lecture hall that morning felt wrong - it was the class they were supposed to share with heejin, and suddenly the room felt so much more empty with only one person missing.
“i don’t know, seung. from what people are saying, it seems personal. she was stabbed to death in her own kitchen, with her own knife. its fucked up.”
one-by-one throughout the day, students were called into the principal’s office to talk to him, the police sheriff and the deputy. by lunchtime, the questions asked of each person were the talking point of everyone. it seems people were doing anything to keep the topic from discussing a potential murderer roaming around town.
“did they ask if you like to hunt?” minho asked felix across the table, the latter nodding in response.
“why would they ask if you like to hunt?” (y/n) questioned, confused. it seemed she’d be asked completely different questions than the boys.
“because they found her gutted. hunting techniques, you know?” jeongin responded, refusing to look up from his phone for longer than 5 seconds to completely join the conversation.
“well, they didn’t ask me that. they just asked if i knew her, if we were friends, if she’d shown any signs of needing to be worried about her….”
changbin scoffed at that; “yeah, because its takes a man to do something like that. hunting, (y/n). i don’t see any girls around here being the type to go out and kill rabbits.”
swiveling in her seat to face the buff man opposite her, she frowned. “no way. the killer could easily be female. don’t be so sexist. this is exactly why female serial killers are taken less seriously, man.”
on the far side of the hyunjin laughed, the rest of the group following in its effectiveness. slapping his hand on the table in his fit of giggles, hyunjin pointed at changbin.
“do not get her started on the inequalities between male and female serial killers, bro. we’ll be here all night!”
“yeah, yeah, let’s all bully the person here most likely to be the killers next victim.” (y/n) joked, leaning her head on changbin’s shoulder. “anyways, have we decided where we’re having movie night tonight, yet?”
noticing the way that the boys all shared a similar look, (y/n) realized they must have discussed this before she had arrived to meet them at the cafe. trying to refrain from rolling her eyes, she crossed her arms.
“go on then. what’s your decision, all-mighty leader?” she huffed, addressing chan specifically and choosing to ignore the way seungmin snickered behind her.
“well…” chan began, as if he was worried about her reaction. “we just figured we’d do it at yours? since, you know, we can’t all stay the night because of classes tomorrow, and we don’t want you being out at night right now.”
“you do realize heejin was killed in her own home? me being inside or outside won’t make any difference if i’m going to be attacked. but… if we’re all at mine if means i can just wear my pajama’s so, yeah, okay.”
jisung clapped his hands, breaking the tension between (y/n) and chan as quickly as it had started.
“it’s settled, then. we all meet at (y/n), minho and jeongin’s tonight. and no scary movies!”
classes for the rest of the day sucked. how the fuck did lecturers expect people to be able to concentrate when a classmate was brutally slaughtered the night before? quite frankly, it was insanity. between the crying, gossip, and fear, no one managed to accomplish anything.
of course, there were the few people who found humor in it all - sneaking up behind girls walking across the courtyard, or “reenacting” how they thought the murder scene folded out. it was disgusting, and (y/n) couldn’t believe people were allowed to behave in such a way after the worst night the town of woodsboro had ever seen.
honestly, all she wanted was to be at home, curled up in her pajamas, watching a movie with her favorite boys. just the nine of them in her, minho and jeongin’s shitty apartment, watching a shitty movie and sharing snacks. deep down, (y/n) wanted to forget the horrors she had heard today, and hide away in her bed until it all passed over.
but this was real life, and she was expected to carry on with her studies as if nothing had happened. it was kind of insulting to heejin’s memory, really. while the two weren’t exactly close, or even friends, (y/n) had always admired how lovely heejin was. the blonde girl had always gone out of her way to be kind to everyone she met, and tried her hardest to make everyone feel welcome and included. she had many friends, yes, but never tried to be popular because she didn’t understand how people could feed into negative stereotypes like that.
truly, (y/n) would miss heejin. and she prayed inherently that it was a one-time thing, that no one else would have to go through the loss that heejin’s family did.

Surprise! My brain came up with a head-canon that wasn’t about Nica!! It’s a Miracle!!! Please have an angsty but still sweet:
Andy Headcanon!
Before Nica came into his life, bringing light and love and…numerous adopted children, Andy had been lonely.
His whole life had been spent running or fighting; survival had always been a priority, leaving no time to worry about forging connections.
Andy’s deepest, darkest secret- the shame he’d never admit to himself let alone anyone else- is that Chucky was not only his tormentor and enemy, but his best friend.
To be fair, he simply didn’t have any friends. Kyle was his sister, so she was different, but he supposed it was difficult to be friends with somebody that was constantly on guard, someone so cynical and haunted, always ready for a fight.
Despite destroying his life, Chucky was the one constant in his life. His mother was gone for a while in the institution and then remarried, Kyle had grown up and gotten married… While they were blessedly always there and remained in his life, Chucky was the one companion he never could leave behind. Even if he wanted to.
The doll had a way with words, though they were foul, and the familiarity with which he spoke to Andy was disturbingly comforting for someone who had kept so few people in his life to be familiar with. Speaking to Chucky sometimes feels like he’s being SEEN again, like he EXISTS. It’s a painfully ironic reminder that he’s still alive.
Andy figured it was a bit like having a family member you despised but could always rely on for consistent mutual understanding of each other. Being understood by so few people had a way of making someone grateful for anyone who did- good or bad.
When Nica comes into his life, it’s the relief he’s not alone- that he has a family, a purpose, and someone to belong to again that helps heal a part of him he never thought could be healed. Most days he forgets the shame he lived with for years, allowing himself, for the first time, to focus on the future.
Sometimes he still wonders what his life would be like if he could have only his family, if he didn’t have to run anymore, if Chucky was gone…and the terror of the unknown almost makes him dread it, no matter how desperately his soul wishes for it. There’s a promise seared deep into his soul, after all.
Friends to the End.

GAAAAAHHH I return from the dead!!
It’s been a while, hey everyone 😊 CHUCKY TALK TIME LETS GOO
I think the main thing I personally want to see from the second half of Chucky S3 is more action from the legacy characters. Yes, it’s because I am the biggest Kyle fan known to man (and I will take no dispute on this, it is me /j) but also because I feel as though the legacies have been a little despondent. Like they’re there, but they aren’t doing much until the final 3 episodes of the season. I want to see some action from them in the main part of the season.
However, I also want to see them living happily. By action, I don’t mean I want to see them fighting and surviving as we have in the past, I want to see them living their normal lives that goes into the fighting bit. We focus a lot on the things that led to their traumas, but how are they living with those traumas??
Please, Don, LET THEM COPE IN A HEALTHY WAY

"Light Showers"
Here it is! My very first Junior Wheeler/Lexy Cross oneshot! This one is INSANELY long, the longest oneshot I've ever written and I worked so hard on this, so I reeeeeeally hope you all like this! Please comment because comments mean the world to me!
Enjoy! :)
Word count: 8.3K
Warnings: Mention of underage drug use, mention of food issues/eating disorder, swearing, Logan and Chucky are warnings enough, not proofread because proofreading is for losers
Notes: Junior is biromantic asexual and a demiboy who uses he/they pronouns, Junior and Lexy are the main characters of this story and everyone else are background characters, a lot of Barclay-Wheeler/Final Family elements, very tiny hint of BarclayPierce, Junior is more in touch with his Filipino side
~You are the light I've been searchin' for forever~
Junior and Lexy’s relationship at first had always been rocky at best.
Lexy was controlling and Junior let her be. He knew that it had to deal with their own issues of always obeying other people, particularly his father. So Junior did whatever Lexy wanted them to do.
Well, mostly. Junior could never go further than making out despite Lexy’s insistence of wanting to do more. That was a discovery he would need to uncover later on on their own, his asexuality.
There were also times Lexy would flirt with Oliver Hayden and it made their heart clench. Junior truly cared for her, maybe he was close to loving her at the time, but what the hell did they know about love? So he held their head down and allowed it, just like how he did in their personal life as well.
Well, that didn’t last very long until Junior finally made the move to break up with her.
Ironically, it wasn’t because of Lexy’s controlling behavior or flirtatious nature towards someone else. It was her distance and all the secrets she was hiding from him. Junior hated secrets. And after just finding out about their mother’s cancer, his mind was far too occupied so they decided to end things with Lexy.
He hated seeing the tears in her eyes but felt that was the right thing to do.
Until Junior’s life fell apart.
~Feels like, man, I've really never felt the rain~
Their mother, Bree, died right in front of him.
Junior spiraled further into depression and was certain that they would have died by his own hands that night had Chucky not invaded their life and mind.
Chucky planted the seeds in his brain to murder their father and eventually, he did.
Years of anger, of pain, of conforming and destroying themself to be exactly what Logan Wheeler wanted him to be was released. Taken out onto their father’s skull over and over and over again by his own son to the point where he was almost unrecognizable.
After that, everything seemed to go blurry.
It was like Junior wasn’t in control anymore. Everything happened too fast and they continued spiraling, this time into madness, until it was too late.
The knife in his chest that they took in order to protect Lexy was proof of that.
And that was when Junior Wheeler died.
~Buried in the desert, didn't think I'd push through the dirt~
Well, not entirely.
Junior’s heart stopped for three minutes until the doctors were able to bring him back. They supposed he should send them a thank you note, but at that moment, they didn’t want to be alive. He just wanted to be with their mom. Or in hell. The latter seemed to be a more likely option since he was a murderer.
But circumstances occurred that caused their true desires to be haltered. He escaped from the hospital a couple weeks after their near survival and landed in the woods.
Practically dropped on Andy Barclay’s doorstep.
And then it was them against the world, despite their rough start. But it became worth it and after some time, he began to feel almost like they were home with Andy. Junior opened up more as well, about his daddy issues and their somewhat tumultuous relationship with Lexy.
Lexy…she was someone that he couldn’t get out of their mind. Despite being broken up, he still cared deeply for her. How could they not? He basically died for her. They remembered her crying as she held his bleeding body, begging them to hold on. But all he could do was apologize before their world faded to black.
But late at night in the abandoned cabin he and Andy shared, when Junior was still awake with their mind whirling with too many thoughts, he would pray to every single Greek god they ever heard of for her to be okay. That’s all he wanted. They just wanted Lexy to be okay and for her to one day forget about Junior Wheeler and the harm that he caused.
Please, gods, let her be okay. Junior Wheeler prayed while staring up at the ceiling that they were certain was growing mold. Just let her live the rest of her life in peace. Please make sure Chucky never gets to her again. Please let her find someone who can be whatever she wants them to be and have a family and be happy. Let her forget about the person who ruined her life by joining Chucky. Just…let Lexy forget about me.
Well, he didn’t think the gods heard them that night. Because the following day, after a year, he saw Devon…and Lexy.
~You just cleansed me like a waterfall, you came~
The moment Lexy saw Junior, she couldn’t take her eyes off them. He couldn’t blame her, they did make her believe that he was dead all this time. Besides, she wasn’t the only one staring. Devon was too although it didn’t seem to be as intense as Lexy’s. But even after explanations were given, she still wouldn’t look away.
Junior would admit, it started to make them feel uncomfortable. He was never fond of staring, it always felt like when someone did stare too much, they were staring into their soul. Trying to find out every single secret from him so they knew how to tear them apart from the inside. Maybe that was what Lexy was trying to do. He wouldn’t blame her, they did deserve it after everything he’s done.
Before their asshole side could come out and snap at her to ask if there was something on his face, Lexy suddenly reached out and placed her hand on their cheek.
The abrupt motion made Junior stiffen and flinch away slightly before he quickly gave into her touch.
Was her hand always this warm and soft?
“Umm…what…whatcha doing there, Lexy?” They managed to ask her instead once he found their voice, now staring back at her.
Wow…she still has those little green flecks in her eyes. He thought absentmindedly to themself before she gave her response.
“You’re…you’re real…right?” It was an odd question, but it was something that was yet again not that surprising to Junior.
She thought he was dead. Now they’re alive and well, with only a scar on his chest to prove their near death experience. Maybe she thought he was seeing a ghost or something. A ghost that somehow looked a little bit taller and had longer hair that was almost touching their shoulders rather than to look completely the same as when he “died”.
Then again, what did they know of ghosts? There was a serial killer possessing a doll for over three decades, anything was possible.
But instead of saying all of that, Junior just leaned into her hand and grazed his fingertips on her wrists lightly. “Yeah. I’m real. I’m alive, Lex.”
Calling Lexy by that nickname seemed to soften her more, relieved tears filling her eyes before she smiled at them. After what felt like forever, she finally pulled her hand away from his cheek.
Junior would later find out that she asked if they were real because she started to do drugs. And when she was too high, she would sometimes hallucinate and see him. However when she wanted to reach out and touch them, he would disappear.
It broke their heart knowing this but Junior still promised that he would help Lexy through her recovery. They would be by her side every step of the way.
Once again, with ease, he fell back into the role of willing to do anything for her.
Only this time, Lexy would do the exact same for Junior too.
~I'm screamin' like a kettle on a stove~
After that, it was like Lexy couldn’t take her hands off them.
Not that Junior minded, of course. He adored physical affection but had only really received it from their mother, so he had been fairly touch starved still. But Lexy wasn’t one to be so touchy with them.
Sure, she’d hold Junior’s hand at school or kiss him in public sometimes, but that was it. They never cuddled or hugged or anything like that. But now, it was completely different.
At first, Lexy would press her shoulders to theirs when they were standing or sitting close by. Then, it led to her looping her pinkie around his. That soon evolved to intertwining their fingers together when they held hands, hugging their arm, and resting her chin on his shoulder if they were sitting down.
Honestly, it was adorable. Junior was seeing a different side of his ex-girlfriend that they didn’t even know existed. Even Devon and Jake looked confused by her sudden acts of affection toward their best friend and cousin.
While it was incredibly cute, it just made him realize that she was perhaps just as touch starved as they were, maybe even more.
That was something he had no problems fixing.
Just about a week after they reunited, Junior noticed how fidgety Lexy was acting. Picking at her skin, shaking her leg, and they remembered that she was trying to go through withdrawal. So he allowed themself to finally return her physical affection.
He moved closer to her and wrapped their arms around Lexy, pulling her into a hug. It took her a few seconds to hug him back but when she did, she immediately buried her face in their chest, right where his heart was–and subsequently, close to their scar.
“You’re doing great, Lex. You’re okay. You’re gonna get through this, I promise. I’m not leaving you alone again. I’m here.” Junior told her and began playing with her long hair, twirling the blonde strands around his finger while their other hand stroked her back up and down soothingly.
He could finally feel her starting to relax and Lexy’s grip tightened around their body as if he could disappear if she didn’t. She even moved her head just slightly so she could plant a small kiss on the pink scar that was hidden under their shirt.
With how close Lexy was, Junior wondered if she could feel his heart racing.
~You cranked the heat up, I was cold~
Junior had a hard time deciphering their feelings for his ex.
On one hand, they genuinely still had an attraction to her. What he thought was an old flame was proven to be false the moment they saw Lexy again and that feeling only grew when he realized just how much she’s changed for the better.
But at the same time, there was too much chaos happening in both of their worlds. With Chucky, drugs, and self-discovery, Junior felt it was too soon for them to get back into a relationship. They were hesitant to tell her this but when he did, she understood. Lexy just held their hand and reassured him that they could take it as slow as they needed to.
“I’ll wait forever for you if I have to,” she told him with that sweet and genuine smile, “take your time. I’ll be right here when you’re ready. I’m not going anywhere, Juni.”
Gods, Junior almost gave in and wanted so desperately to kiss her right then and there when she called them by that nickname that always had him so weak.
But they did take it slow. They would still hold hands or cuddle, sometimes sleeping in the same bed, but that was it. And they were both fine with that, even with their so-called friends teasing them about their strange new relationship.
It was a little odd, Junior would agree and admit to it. They didn’t say they were “dating” and they haven’t even kissed since the last year before they broke up. But Lexy didn’t press on it even though they knew that she did want to kiss him whenever they caught her staring at his lips. Junior was tempted too, but thought it was still too soon.
This “arrangement” continued for a month until Christmas changed that far too soon.
Ironically, it wasn’t mistletoe where they had to be forced to share a kiss to honor a stupid tradition.
It was Lexy covered literally head to toe in Chucky’s blood with a chainsaw in her hands.
Junior wasn’t sure what came over them.
Although if he thought about it more, it was maybe just because the most beautiful girl they had ever seen was soaked in the blood of the piece of shit that ruined their lives and the lives of everyone they loved, with an almost maniacal look in her eyes after the deed was done.
That must have been it because before he could stop themself, he went up to her, cupped her face in their hands, and slammed his lips on hers.
Junior remembered the first time they ever kissed. Lexy’s lips tasted like her strawberry flavored lip gloss.
This time, her lips were metallic with Chucky’s blood, some of it even dancing on their tongue from how intensely he kissed her.
Junior was used to the taste of blood, having had some of it land in their mouth when he had killed their dad and tortured dozens of different Chuckys. But somehow, it felt different when it was on Lexy.
Fuck, was he in love?
When the dust settled and everything seemed to calm down after a few days, they both knew that they had to talk about this.
“So…about the kiss…”
“It was the heat of the moment,” Junior admitted while fiddling with the zipper of their jacket, “but that doesn’t mean that I…that I didn’t enjoy it.”
“Oh, I enjoyed it too,” Lexy giggled with an amused look in her eyes, easing the tension in her ex-partner’s chest, “I know we agreed to take it slow, and I’m all for that. But…do you think we could…do that again sometimes?”
Junior smiled before nodding. There was no way he could go back to not kissing her again. He had a taste and knew they needed more.
“Eh, I guess so.” He joked and she lightly swatted their arm with the back of her hand before leaning up on her toes, kissing him softly.
This time, Lexy’s lips tasted like mint flavored chapstick and they could smell the hot chocolate that she drank earlier on her breath.
Yeah, Junior could get used to this.
~My past grew mold around my heart~
“No.”
“Oh come on! Please?”
“No.”
“I wanna see!”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please, Juni sweetie~?”
“...no.”
“Damnit, Junior, you’re gonna have to show me eventually!”
“Like hell.”
The banter that was occurring was out of Junior’s hands. Well, actually, the object in question that Lexy was so desperate to see was in fact in his hands. It was an object that had been taunting him and now they finally had to have it despite never wanting it ever in his life.
Glasses.
Junior Wheeler needed fucking glasses.
They knew his eyesight was slowly getting worse over the last year or two. But they could squint and be able to see the words on a book okay, however the blurriness now grew more and more. Although it was easier for him to read something if it was further away from them.
Stupid farsighted eyes.
And now because of this, Andy finally noticed Junior’s predicament and insisted that he get glasses. Junior fought tooth and nail over this but Andy somehow managed to put his foot down and made them go to the eye appointment.
And here he was, with glasses that made him feel like a fucking nerd.
Junior was going to kill someone.
Probably Jake because that asshole kept teasing them and was practically begging to be murdered.
“Jun, I bet you’ll look so adorable!” Lexy insisted once again, now throwing her arms around his shoulders and leaning into them. “I just wanna see!”
“So?” Junior spoke with no emotion.
“Junior!” She now scolded before huffing. “Come on! I promise I won’t laugh or anything. I won’t even take a picture! Just…please?”
He grumbled under their breath, not saying anything for a moment before he ended up giving in–just like they always did. He begrudgingly opened the case, pushed the glasses onto their face, and stared at her with the same deadpan expression.
Lexy stared back at him before slowly smiling. “Juni! You look so cute!”
“No, I don’t.” Junior groaned and was about to take the glasses off before she stopped them by grabbing his wrists.
“Yes, you do,” she said stubbornly, “you look like Harry Potter!”
They raised an eyebrow, seeming unamused. “Really?”
She nodded her head quickly. “Yeah, but like, way hotter.”
Junior’s face flushed a bright shade of pink and he giggled quietly at the compliment. “Yeah, okay, sure.”
“I’m serious,” Lexy whined and let go of their wrists so she could run her fingers across the circular frames, “you look super cute. Besides, now you can see me better so you can admire how hot I look too!”
He snorted and rolled their eyes playfully. “My eyesight wasn’t that damaged, Lex. I just had a hard time reading up close, now I can do that.”
“Then that means you get to read everything I post on Twitter about how you should be casted as the new Harry Potter.”
“Oh gods no.” Lexy giggled at his reaction and then kissed the tip of their nose before standing up.
“Wanna go to Starbucks?”
Junior grinned widely. “Absolutely.”
~And all my anger, sadness, regret disappeared~
Movie nights were a frequent occasion in their house.
They had movie nights quite often, sometimes varying from twice a week to every single night. It depended on who was available to stay over and binge, also switching off on who picks out the movie each time.
Jake’s turn was three days ago and Junior was relieved it wasn’t his turn again because it was far too soon for him to see another horror movie.
Seriously, their lives were horror movies enough, they all didn’t need to watch even more of it.
It was Andy’s turn this time but he was taking far too long on the phone with Nica in his room. Gods, it was so obvious that they were into each other and if Nica was in person, they’d totally be shoving their tongues down each other’s throats.
But for now, they just had to wait for Andy to get off the fucking phone. So they sat around the living room, all talking about whatever was on their minds.
Junior was sitting on the floor in front of the seat Lexy was on. They could sit on the couch with her but he was in an antsy mood and knew they would be moving around too much, so he settled on the floor instead. During the conversations, they felt Lexy move closer to him but remained behind them still. Before Junior could ask what she was doing, she ran both of her hands through his hair.
The words died in their throat before they could even leave his lips, their eyes nearly rolling into the back of his head and they completely melted under her touch.
If Junior tried to think about it, he would remember that they did tell Lexy earlier that morning that he enjoyed having his hair touched or played with, even scalp massages felt nice, and how it always helped relax them. But right now, his brain was completely mush.
They could hear Jake and Devon laughing quietly at his reaction but they didn’t pay them any mind. Junior just allowed himself to be relaxed with her nails running across their head slowly, basically giving him a scalp massage.
This must be what Elysium feels like. They thought to himself.
Lexy continued doing this for a while, maybe ten minutes, until Andy came back into the room to start the movie. She pulled her hands away from him and Junior looked up at her with a pout.
She giggled at the probably pitiful look on their face. “I’ll do it again after the movie, I promise.”
Even during the movie, Lexy was still playing with his hair. It wasn’t like the massage but she would still run her fingers around their hair, playing with it just like he would do to her own hair. The entire experience still made Junior completely relaxed, leaning their head on her knee so she can continue playing with his hair.
And if Jake teased them about it later?
Well, Junior would wait until he was agitated again so they could yank at his cousin’s curly hair.
~It's madness, I'm not used to all this water, love, it's true~
Junior liked watching Lexy do her makeup.
They weren’t quite sure why. Maybe it was because she was very precise in her work, completely focused when she was doing a winged eyeliner. Maybe it was the different eyeshadow colors she would use, sometimes darker and sometimes brighter, depending on the occasion. Either way, it was simply fascinating.
Maybe too fascinating.
“Do you think you could do my makeup?” Junior asked without thinking before completely shutting his mouth.
Lexy had just finished applying her lipstick, a pretty shade of pink that almost matched her blush, before turning her head to look at them with an almost surprised look. “You want me to do your makeup?”
Every single part of Junior was now screaming to abort, quickly shaking his head. “I–it’s–it’s nothing, sorry, forget about it–”
Before they could do anything else, Lexy was up, grabbing his arm, and pulling them to the seat she was originally on in front of her vanity. “Oh my god, I have been waiting for ages for you to ask me that!”
“W-what?”
“Juni, your face is perfect for makeup. Seriously, have you seen your cheekbones? And your jawline is to die for!”
Junior began blushing deeply, making his ex giggle. “Well, I don’t even need to apply blush on you, so that’s one step out of the way.”
“Lexyyyy!” They whined, blushing more as Lexy laughed softly and then grabbed a beauty sponge.
He remembered calling it a clown nose before and she nearly threw her makeup bag at them.
“Hold still, babe.” She told him and they obeyed, not wanting her to mess up as she began her work.
The feeling of makeup on his face felt weird. It was a foreign sensation that a part of them enjoyed, while the other part wanted to stop.
He knew what that other part was, the one that their father molded to be what he wanted his own child to be, a traditional masculine man.
He hated that part of themself.
“This isn’t weird…right?” Junior asked her, his eyes closed since she was applying gold sparkly eyeshadow on their eyelids that she let him pick out with the tips of her fingers.
They felt Lexy falter for just a second before continuing. “No, of course not. I’ve always wanted to do your makeup. Besides, anyone can wear makeup. Doesn’t matter their gender or some other bullshit. Girls can wear it, boys can wear it, and anyone in between can wear it.”
Her truthful response made them relax a little, opening his eyes to look at her after she finished their eyeshadow. “Yeah, you’re right. Sorry, I just…have that stupid voice in my head, you know?”
She nodded truthfully, reaching to grab two eyeliner pencils. “I know, but you don’t have to listen to it. It’s wrong anyway, it’s just what your asshole piece of shit dad wanted you to believe.”
Junior couldn’t help but to snort at how venomous Lexy sounded when she mentioned his father. Sometimes, it made him wonder who hated Logan more: them or Lexy.
Probably Lexy now that he thought about it.
Actually, Andy. Their guardian always looked like he was three seconds away from bringing Logan back to life only to torture him slowly and painfully whenever Junior talked about some of the things his father made them do, especially when it came to restricting his food intake.
“What color do you want? Black or purple?” Lexy asked, shaking them away from their thoughts.
“Purple.” He responded after a moment, finding the shade of darker purple nice to look at.
Junior once again closed their eyes so she could draw the eyeliner onto his lower eyelid. It was harder for them to stay still during that part, the pressure of the pencil on his eye. It wasn’t unpleasant but it was certainly odd enough that they weren’t enjoying this process as much as the other ones.
When Lexy finished, he opened their eyes again to see her grabbing mascara. “Okay, you gotta keep your eyes open for this one, Jun.”
His eyes widened almost in horror and started shaking their head. “Uh uh, absolutely not, keep that away from me.”
“Junior.”
“I’m going to get stabbed in my eyeball.”
“I’m not gonna stab your eyeball, I’ve done this a million times.” Lexy rolled her eyes in exasperation. “Your eyelashes are gonna look so fucking cute with mascara, so please hold still.”
Junior groaned quietly before giving in, his entire body now stiff. Most likely not trusting that they won’t move, Lexy placed one hand behind the back of his head before using the mascara wand to go down and up their eyelashes.
It took everything in him not to want to pull away, although they started to at one point but her grip tightened around him and she didn’t let go until she was finally finished.
Lexy leaned back, looking at them almost proudly. “Fuck, you look so hot and you don’t even know it yet.”
Junior snorted from her statement. “Does that mean I can see it now?”
“No, not until we’re done. We just have one thing left,” she began rummaging through her makeup bag, “I think red would be a good color on you. Do you want to try red lip gloss or red lipstick?”
He certainly didn’t feel like they were ready for lipstick, so he went with the former. Lexy pulled out the bright red lip gloss, carefully putting it on Junior’s lips. They couldn’t help but to stare at her as she did this, the way her eyebrows scrunched together with concentration and complete focus.
Now that was fucking adorable.
Finally, Lexy pulled away and clapped her hands together with a beaming smile. “Okay, okay, now you can look!” She told him excitedly and allowed them to look at the mirror.
For a moment, Junior didn’t even recognize himself. Their eyes were glittering, his lips shimmering and face contoured and highlighted, noticing features in themself that he never thought to notice before.
They looked…
“Pretty.” He ended up saying softly under their breath.
Lexy dropped her chin on his shoulder, still grinning ear to ear. “Yeah, hella pretty. I told you, you have the perfect face to do makeup on.”
Junior turned their head now to look at her, smiling softly. “Thank you for doing this, Lex.”
“Of course, sweetie.” She told him affectionately with them leaning forward to kiss her but she quickly backed away. “Nuh uh, no kisses yet. I’m not letting you ruin my hard work, we’re taking at least a dozen pictures and then we’ll talk about kissing.” She insisted stubbornly, already reaching into her pocket for her phone.
He rolled their eyes but knew that she wouldn’t settle on this. “Fine, but only because you did a really great job.”
Lexy giggled triumphantly, quickly taking a selfie of the two of them.
Junior would later notice that that picture she took would be on her lockscreen, and it only made his heart race.
~But you made me want to~
Junior was exhausted.
The weather was starting to get warmer now, spring hitting its highest, and the almost overbearing warmth was enough to make them tired.
So he had gone to bed earlier than usual, with only one blanket on top of him because they would struggle to sleep without a blanket–believe him, they’ve tried. He must have been sleeping for a few hours, face down and drooling on his pillow while dreaming of two of the cutest kittens they had ever seen, before becoming slightly aware of the bedroom door opening.
This still wasn’t enough to wake Junior up from his slumber. It was the feeling of a body climbing into their bed that finally jolted him awake.
“It-it’s me, Jun.” They heard a familiar voice say next to him and they sighed softly, nodding and turning to face her.
“Hi Lexy.” Junior said groggily as she shimmied under his blanket and curled up beside them.
Of course it was her, this wasn’t the same time she had slipped into his bed in the middle of the night. Besides, they had done the same to her as well.
“Hi.” Lexy replied with her voice quiet and almost shaky, as if she had been crying.
That realization woke him up a little more and even though they couldn’t see her in the darkness of their room, he could still see her silhouette. They reached out carefully and felt wetness on her cheeks, gently wiping away her tears with his thumbs.
“You okay Lex? Did you have a nightmare?” They asked her with a soft frown, still stroking her cheeks.
Lexy sniffled and he felt more tears on their hands as she nodded. “I…I lost you. You died, Juni…you died in my arms and I–I couldn’t do anything to help you…”
Junior knew that this wasn’t the first time Lexy had nightmares about that night in the theater. She had told him before, it was a recurring nightmare she had when they were believed to be dead.
“I’m here. I didn’t die, I pulled through. See?” He gently guided her hand to their chest, right where the scar was.
He wasn’t fond of touching or even looking at their scar. Well, the first part would go out the window in moments where he was overwhelmed or upset, rubbing the scar because it felt like they were being stabbed again. But Lexy would often touch his scar or place her head on it, as if it was a reminder that they were alive.
This method seemed to work because Junior could feel her start to calm down, lightly pressing her fingers on his chest. They knew that she could feel his scar even through their shirt, it was that noticeable.
Lexy was quiet for a few moments before taking a deep breath and pushing her cheek against his chest. “If you ever die on me like that again, I’ll kill you myself.”
Junior chuckled under their breath and decided not to mention the impossibility of that. He wouldn’t underestimate her, she would absolutely try if she could.
“Go to sleep, honey. I’ll be here when you wake up. ‘M not going anywhere.” They reassured her, now rubbing her back with one hand.
He heard Lexy hum in acknowledgement, keeping her cheek near their scar while fidgeting with his shirt by their waist. She continued doing this for a few minutes before finally falling asleep again.
Junior smiled fondly when he noticed she was sleeping before doing the same not long after, accepting their fate to spend the night overheating.
~Plan out my last days on earth, eating you~
There was a lot that Junior was still working through that his father implemented into their brain.
That it was okay to be feminine, to take breaks, to cry, to wear whatever he wanted, to not need to change themself to be what someone else wants him to be. Just the basics, at least that’s what they saw it to be.
But when it came to food, it was the hardest thing for his mind to work through.
Junior still counted their calories, still sometimes slipping and asking Andy how much he was allowed to eat, hardly asking for seconds even though they did want more food. Thankfully, Andy seemed to know when Junior did want more and would always serve him more food without needing to ask them.
Andy’s mother instincts were something he was still getting used to.
But on good days, Junior could eat as much as they wanted without hearing his father’s voice in their head, even eating the occasional sugary and sweet desserts without much hesitance.
However on bad days…he would barely eat. They would have maybe some snacks, or a fruit, but would throw himself into reading or writing or playing their guitar that he would genuinely forget about eating until someone reminded them.
This week had been a bad week for Junior. He was lost in their mind and did what he could to distract themself. Unfortunately, that included skipping meals. But he thought that they had it under control.
Until the day before when Junior nearly fainted in front of everyone after he lied about eating when in fact they went the entire day without eating.
Now, he hadn’t meant to lie. It was a reflex when Andy asked them since he hadn’t been home that morning. He always said “yes” even if it wasn’t true. By the time they realized it, he didn’t want to go back on their answer. He figured that they would eat later on.
That was proven to be false, of course.
Junior would admit, it was a little scary. He stood up too fast and suddenly got punched in the face with dizziness and saw black spots over their eyes. He would have landed on the ground had Jake not been close by to catch them.
His cousin and Andy were quick to get food for him, despite how embarrassed they felt. The embarrassment only continued when he noticed that they both were keeping more of an eye on him. All Junior could hope was that they wouldn’t tell anyone else about their little “incident”.
Once again, the gods were not on his side.
“Junior, I’m going to kick your ass!” Was the first thing Junior heard the next afternoon from Lexy, startled out of their reading and staring at her in both surprise and confusion.
“What did I do this time?”
“More like what you didn’t do. You seriously didn’t eat all day yesterday and almost passed out?! Are you kidding me?!” She nearly shrieked in frustration.
He didn’t say anything for a moment before mumbling angrily under their breath. “I’m living with a bunch of snitching bitches!”
Lexy stomped over to where he was sitting on their bed, snatching the book from his hands despite their protests, and replaced his book with a chocolate chip cookie that they hadn’t noticed she was holding.
Junior went quiet, staring at it for a moment before looking up at Lexy. “I already ate breakfast, plenty of it. You can ask Andy or Jake, I’m sure they’ll attest to that.”
“Oh I know that,” she started, “but I already decided to bring over cookies, there’s plenty more downstairs. I still want you to eat that.”
He didn’t want to, their father’s voice kicking in the longer he stared at the cookie. They weren’t sure how long he was sitting there, staring with their hands beginning to tremble until Lexy sat down beside him and placed her hand over theirs. “What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?”
The phrase that Junior often said to his ex got them smiling a little, inhaling before speaking. “It’s just…been a bad week. I’m stuck in my head with everything my dad told me. I really really didn’t mean to not eat yesterday. I just needed a distraction and forgot to eat. I even lied about it, which really wasn’t my intention. I don’t want you all to be worrying about me.”
“Juni, we’re gonna worry more if you’re almost fainting from not eating anything all day,” Lexy said gently, “if you’re struggling, you can talk to any of us. We’ll help you. You know that, right?”
“I know,” he replied, “but we both know that me asking for help isn’t my forte.”
“It’s not either, but I’m still trying.” She told them with a small chuckle, running her hand through his hair which caused Junior to close their eyes. “Now, will you please at least take a bite from your cookie? I’ll give you a kiss if you do.”
Lexy truly was persuasive, wasn’t she?
And just like he always did, they gave in to her wishes. He opened their eyes and took a bite from his cookie–fuck, that tastes really good–, and after they swallowed the bite, he leaned in to kiss her softly.
She kissed them back for a moment before pulling away just enough to breathe. “You taste like chocolate.”
Her statement made both of them laugh before Junior said something. “Mahal kita.”
Lexy raised an eyebrow as she looked at him. “What does that mean?”
Junior had been learning to speak Tagalog for the past few months. It was a way to connect more with their Filipino side and even understand his mother more. Learning the language felt like they were forming a bond with his mom, even though she was gone now. So far, the only other person who was trying to learn Tagalog as well was Andy. Well, Jake too, but he mostly wanted to know the curse words so he could understand if Junior was swearing at him.
“It means ‘you’re sweet’.” They lied.
Of course Junior had to lie. He couldn’t tell her that it meant “I love you”. That had to be far too soon, even though they had been together now for eight months, just without making it official.
Besides, what Lexy didn’t know wouldn’t kill her.
And she believed them too, smiling more at him. “That sounds so cute when you say it,” she told them truthfully before suddenly going serious, “but if you go an entire day without eating again, I will kick your ass. Got it?”
Junior chuckled, knowing that Lexy wasn’t kidding or exaggerating, and took another large bite from his cookie. “Got it, Lex.”
~The tips of your teeth fit perfect in me~
Lexy loved to go shopping.
She could spend hours in the mall if she wanted to, spending money and splurging on clothes and makeup.
As for Junior…
“I’m going to strangle myself with a hanger.”
They had a raging headache. They both had only been in the mall for a couple hours, but Junior was bored and tired. He hated shopping even though they did know that he needed some more clothes–their style kept shifting and changing because he kept exploring their options–but right now, he needed a break.
“Jun, we haven’t even been here for that long.” Lexy looked at them, seeming almost exhausted by his antics while holding up a red shirt to see if it would look good on them. “Come on, just a little longer.”
“We can stay for another half hour as long as I can lay down on the floor.” He bargained.
“Okay, that’s super gross and unhygienic. How about another hour, maybe a few minutes over, and I’ll buy you some food and coffee later.”
Junior thought about it for a moment before nodding. “Fine, we have a deal.”
They shook hands on it, both of them giggling before they went off to look at other clothes while also remaining within eye view of each other.
They were still incredibly bored, browsing through different shirts and sighed loudly. He checked their phone and only five minutes had passed.
It was going to be a long hour.
Some time had passed, certainly not enough for Junior’s sanity, but he was managing to cope. A girl about their age even came up and started a conversation with him for a few minutes. She seemed kind enough and at the moment, they didn’t mind the company.
Someone else, however, did in fact mind.
Junior didn’t realize Lexy came back until she was almost right next to him. Before they could even greet her, she grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed her lips on theirs with enough force that it made him take a step back.
It was almost reminiscent of the passionate kiss they shared after Lexy killed her first Chucky. But this one was more rough, teeth hitting their own and he wouldn’t be surprised if she made their lips bleed.
He almost struggled to breathe during the forceful few seconds kiss until she finally pulled away and looked at the girl they had been talking to. “Hi there. Who are you?”
Uh oh. Junior knew that tone. It was the condescending, passive-aggressive tone she would speak in when Lexy was either pissed or about to say some of the most heinous things he had ever heard in their life. He hadn’t heard her use that tone in a while, so it did take them aback a little.
He wasn’t the only one, the girl now looked nervous, stuttering over her words before coming up with an excuse to leave. When she did, Lexy stared daggers into Junior’s soul that had them nervous but confused as well.
“Why are you looking at me like that? I should be the one looking at you like that! What the hell just happened?!”
Lexy glared before spinning away on her heel and storming off. Junior was quick to catch up with her, his confusion growing. “Can you please explain to me what’s going on?!”
“She was flirting with you!” She snapped and it had Junior blinking a few times.
“What?”
“I was watching you, she kept on flirting with you and you let her!”
“Flirting with–no she wasn’t!”
“Yes she was! I know girls and I know how they flirt, she was flirting!”
“I didn’t know that! I thought she was just being nice!”
Lexy stopped and whipped around to face them, a look of disbelief on her face. “You cannot possibly be that oblivious, Junior.”
Junior threw his arms up in the air. “Yes! I can be that oblivious! Lexy, you were the one to ask me out on a date back in eighth grade. I didn’t even know it was a date until you told me! I thought you were just being nice and wanted to hang out with me. I can’t tell these things!”
She stared at them even longer, running her hand through her hair with a look of pure frustration. “Are you sure that you and Andy aren’t actually biologically related? Because of how unaware you both are to women flirting with you has got to be a genetic thing.”
“I don’t know, we haven’t taken a DNA test.” Junior replied lightheartedly, shrugging his shoulders before a lightbulb went off inside their brain. “Wait a minute…are…are you jealous?”
Lexy seemed to flush red, her glare returning. “I was not–!”
“Oh my god, you’re totally jealous,” he chuckled and a mischievous grin grew on their face, “I never thought I’d see you jealous before. Wow. I mean, I don’t mind it, but I’d appreciate it if you didn’t cut my mouth open when you kiss me due to your jealousy.”
She was quiet, huffing under her breath. “If it makes you feel any better, I think I chipped two of my front teeth on yours.”
They both laughed before Junior reached out to twirl her blonde hair around his finger. “You don’t need to get jealous, Lex. I’m not going anywhere. Trust me, I’m definitely not interested in anyone else. Alright? Mahal kita.”
A certain look flashed in Lexy’s eyes but it was gone as quickly as it came before they could try to identify it. “What-what does that one mean again?”
“It means that you’re really cute. That’s all.” He once again lied, feeling grateful that she didn’t understand Tagalog.
She just hummed and nodded, making Junior smile. “Now, can we get out of here? I really am hungry and am in desperate need of coffee.”
“You’re too obsessed with coffee,” Lexy rolled her eyes but giggled, “let’s go, we just gotta pay for these clothes first.”
“Fine, just don’t get jealous of the cashier.”
“Shut the fuck up.”
~You're a shower of light I'd devour any day of the week~
Junior always struggled with remembering what day it was.
They would blame the year he spent with Andy in the woods, away from civilization and only remembering the days from recent newspapers Andy would bring back on supply runs. Sometimes, the days felt like they were just merged together. Sometimes they would think it was Friday when actually it was Tuesday.
God, maybe Devon was right. He needed to get out more.
But it really didn’t matter that much to them anyway. If he wanted to know what day it was, they could just look in the calendar app on his phone. Simple and easy.
But while Junior didn’t always remember dates, including important ones, imagine their surprise when he was woken up with their door slamming open and light turning on in his room. “Junior, wake up!”
Lexy’s voice absolutely shot them awake, protective instincts kicking in and bolting upright and grabbing his favorite switchblade from under their pillow. “What–what?! What happened?! Is it Chucky?! Where is he?!”
“Woah, Jun, relax, there’s no Chucky, it’s just me–...why do you have a knife under your pillow?”
“I think the better question is why don’t you have a knife under your pillow?” Junior threw back before lowering his weapon, now a little more relaxed. “What’s going on? Did you have a nightmare or something? What happened?”
She didn’t say anything for a moment before jumping up onto their bed and settling next to him. “Happy birthday, Juni!”
They blinked at her, quiet for a few seconds. “...what?”
“Happy birthday! It’s your birthday today, September 26th. You’re sixteen now!”
Junior slowly turned his head to look at their alarm clock before turning back to stare at her in bewilderment. “Lexy…it’s 4:30 in the morning?! You couldn’t wait another six or seven hours to wake me up for my birthday like a normal person?!
Now it was Lexy’s turn to blink. “Wow…Jake was right, you are really grouchy when you’re woken up this early.”
“That fucker knew about your little plan?!” He hissed, already now coming up with a dozen ways to murder their cousin and pin the blame on Chucky.
“Yes, but it was just because I wanted to make it special for your birthday since I missed your last one due to you faking your death!”
“I did not fake my death, I was nowhere near as elaborate to fake it.” He grumbled, pushing their switchblade under his pillow and started to lay back down. But Lexy prevented them, grabbing his shoulders and pulling them back up as he groaned even louder.
“C’mon, Jun, work with me here.” Lexy whined, something she didn’t do often but made her sound adorable whenever she did.
Junior’s eyes began slowly closing. “Can I work on it when I’m not running on three hours of sleep?”
“No,” Lexy insisted stubbornly before cupping their face in her hands and the action made him open their eyes again, “I need to say something first and you have to listen.”
Her serious tone was enough to make him wake up more, raising an eyebrow. “Uhhh…okay? What is it?”
Now, she looked nervous. Shy even. Maybe even anxious. They were looks that Junior certainly wasn’t used to seeing.
“I…ummmm…uhhhhhhh…”
“...are–are you having a stroke?”
It took another couple minutes until Lexy took a deep breath, looked into their eyes, and spoke slowly. “Mahal, masaya ako na nasa buhay kita. Ibig mong sabihin ang mundo sa akin. Mahal kita.”
Junior’s heart stopped.
He understood every single word she said.
My love, I'm happy to have you in my life. You mean the world to me. I love you.
Holy shit.
“W-what?”
“Look, I know I butchered the pronunciations, please don’t make me say them again.”
“No, it’s–it’s just…when did you…?” Now Junior was the one struggling to get the words out.
“I started learning Tagalog a couple months ago,” Lexy admitted, “I wanted to surprise you for your birthday. I mean, I’m definitely not fluent yet, but I understand the basics. And I…definitely know what mahal kita means now.”
They closed his eyes for a moment and sighed quietly before opening them again. “You…you knew at the mall…?”
“Yeah, I knew. ‘Sweet’ my ass, Jun.” She teased with a playful smile before looking serious again. “Why didn’t you just tell me what it really meant?”
Junior wanted to look down but her hands prevented him. “I…I didn’t know if it was too soon. Or if you were ready to hear it. But…I did mean it. I…ummmm…”
“Are you having a stroke?” Lexy repeated their previous question with a smirk.
Knowing that he deserved that, they chuckled quietly before finally growing a pair and saying it. “I love you, Lexy. I always have. It just took some time for us to find each other again. But I love you. Mahal kita, maganda.”
“That last one means ‘beautiful’, I know because you say that one a lot to me,” she grinned and it made them both laugh, “but I love you too. It took losing you for me to realize that. But now that I have you back in my arms, I am never letting go again.”
“Good,” He smiled at her, leaning one side of their cheek to one of her hands, “so…does this mean we can be official? Like…you’ll be my girlfriend?”
“Just as long as it means that you’re my partner.” Lexy grinned, amusement yet adoration in her eyes.
Junior could drown himself in her eyes if they could.
“I would love that, Lex. I’ll be the best partner you ever had. I know I’m oblivious and kind of an idiot, but I’ll still be by your side no matter what–”
“Juni?”
“Yeah?”
“Kiss me.”
“Okay.”

The Locked Door
I wrote Glen and Andy's first meeting.
This wasn't Glen’s first time sneaking around the house at night. Glen used to sneak into the basement at night to set off the traps before the mice got hurt. There were also Christmas nights, when mom didn’t have the maids around to clean up after the party, and Glen and Glenda stuffed their faces and pockets full of the leftover cookies and cakes. So, sneaking by a bedroom door without being heard shouldn’t be that hard, right.
Unfortunately, Glen didn’t know this cabin as well as the mansion. The floorboards were older, less stable, and when walking by father’s bedroom, a loose board let out a blood curdling creek.
He was on them in an instant. Glen didn’t even have time to hope he didn’t hear that.
“Who’s there?” he asked. It was Andy Barclay, the real Andy Barclay. Glen’s heart was in their throat, they needed a way out of this.
“I know someone’s out there.” he said.
Try as they might, Glen couldn’t stop the panicked breathing.
He took a deep breath, “look I know I probably brought you here and you are understandably scared of me.” He sounded so tired.
“But I wasn’t in control of myself then. I am now and if you let me help you, I might be able to get you out of here before the man who kidnapped you comes back,” he seemed genuine, which would mean he didn’t know who they were. Or how they got there. Yet.
“How?” Glen asked before they could stop themself.
"First things first, I need you to slip some things under the door,” Andy said. Glen didn’t say a word. They wondered if they could just pretend they were never here and he’d believe it. Dad did say he was crazy.
"Are you still there?" He asked.
Silence.
"Look I know this is a big ask. But if you don't help me then when he wakes up again, he is going to kill you" Andy said, his voice held suppressed desperation.
"What do you need?" Glen asked.
"A long thin piece of metal and a flat piece of metal," he said.
"What are you going to do with them?" They asked.
"I know how to pick a lock, but I need a pick and a tension wrench," he said.
"What?" They said, he took a deep breath.
"A pick is a long thin strip of metal that is used to push up the pins of a lock, the tension wrench is a long flat piece of metal that can apply tension to the keyway" he explained. Glen stood silent.
"Look it doesn't really matter how it works, I can use them to pick the lock and then I can pick the lock to the front door and you can leave," Glen couldn’t let him out. If he realized who they were, he’d kill them. Dad had said as much.
“If you kidnapped me, why are you acting like someone else did?” They said, trying to shift the topic of conversation. He was quiet for a minute.
“I have multiple personalities, one of my alters kidnapped you,” his voice was a bit off. Glen made a note that his voice gets stilted when he lies.
“Why don’t you remember how I got here?” They pressed further.
“I don’t know, I’m normally better at remembering what happens when Chucky’s in control, but for some reason, todays a blank,” he said. There was a twinge of fear in his voice.
“So Chucky kidnapped me, who am I talking to now?”
“My name’s Andy,” he said. It was quiet for a second as Glen looked for something else to ask.
“What’s your name?” he asked, he sounded almost unfamiliar with casual conversation.
“Meg,” it was the first name that came to mind.
“Okay Meg, can you please get me a pick and a tension wrench, so I can open this door and you can avoid getting murdered tomorrow morning?” He was struggling to suppress his frustration. Glen needed a way out of this conversation.
“How do I know you’re not lying to me? How do I know if I let you out, Chucky won’t wake up again?” Glen asked. Andy was silent.
“You don’t,” Andy said.
“Then why should I listen to a word you say?” Glen asked
“I know you don’t have any reason to, but I am trying to help you. I don’t want to kill you. Either you trust me and you have a chance to survive, or you don’t and you definitely die,” His voice was desperate. Glen felt bad for him.
“I’m sorry… I just… I just can’t trust you,” Glen said, choking up. Andy let out a deep sigh. “I understand,” he said, sounding defeated. Glen wondered if this had happened before.
Glen went back to their room. They put in their headphones to muffle the pounding coming from their father’s room.

For the ask game- 💔💘🏠🎤⚔️? Hope its not too much?? 🦊
Ahhh, thank you!! That's not too much at all ^^
💔 The slasher you’d LEAST like to meet IRL.
Remake!Freddy Krueger without a bloody doubt. Absolutely no thank you. Though I certainly wouldn't wanna meet OG Freddy, either. I've talked about this before- this is just not the Slasher for me 😅 I'm better suited to surviving, like... Childs Play. I'm very neurotic and very thorough XD
💘 The slasher you’d MOST like to meet IRL.
Oooh, probably Jennifer! (At least today- I definitely fluctuate! Haha) If I can befriend her I WILL XD I can put up with a lotta shit, so as long as she doesn't tryta kill me, which I suppose she wouldn't considering I'm not a boy, we can work this out XD 😅 I wanna have sleepovers and watch true crime with her!!
🏠 If you could live with only one slasher who would it be? How’s the experience?
LIVE? So you're promising that they wont kill me?? 😅😅😅 Hmm... I'm thinkin Foxy Coltrane XD Not Otis, Not Baby, none of the rest of the family (Though Rufus and Tiny do seem to be little more chill 😅 XD )- Just Foxy. I like him ^^ He's kinda chill but also kinda wild??
The experience! Well... he makes me watch his black and white movies, which is stressful because he's so passionate about them, but then he lets me force bad Slasher movies upon him- so, there's give and take XD You'd end up being the only two people who fully get each and every one of eachothers movie references! Which i think is a very underrated form of affection.
Other then that he disappears for weeks on end, which gives me a lotta blessed alone time to myself (Perfect). And he brings back weird shit to show off.
🎤 Which slasher has the nicest voice?
Uh
*shifty eyes towards This post I just reblogged.
XD Nah, really though I have a real soft spot for Chucky's voice. He can do no wrong, not with a voice like that!! Everything he says is just perfect. Iconic. And Brad Dourif's execution of each line is just- ahhh! I'm obsessed. I would watch Antique Road Show, I swear, if only Brad Dourif narrated it XD
"Its not an addiction, it is a choice. And it is NOT SOMETHING- THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE TO HIDE- IN THE CLOSET!" (That is one of my favourites XD )
⚔️ What slasher do you think you could beat in a fight?
Oh... boy... Well, I'll try and fight almost everyone as long as its not Baby Firefly honestly (That scene in 3 From Hell when the horrible guard leaves her alone, in cuffs, in a room with two mean lookin uncuffed prisoners to try and get her killed or hurt and Baby somehow fucking RIPS THEIR INNARDS OUT?? haunts me).
But um, I guess I'll go with Billy Loomis?... I will kick him so hard in a certain place that he will not be able to speak for several days. Honour code? Not me thanks, if someone's coming at me I will go for the balls, the face, the throat, the nipples, the hair- whatever I can get at.
I was gonna pick Drayton but I just dont want to... I love him!!...

Slashers Stuck On An Island.
PART ONE:
FEATURING: Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Hannibal Lecter. (Part 2 will feature: PennyWise, Ghostface, and Chucky.)
WARNING: This is really long. I'm going to need to make a part two to this because Tumblr literally wouldn't let me post it all in one go... Anyhow: Just like the Vegas Boys Night post, this silly thought came to me during a watch of your typical survival on an island tv show. Please enjoy the thoughts that came to my head.
Our camera man is simply known as Greg.
Freddy Krueger: -Our grumpy dream demon often spends time on the island letting the boys know just how miserable he is. -That big mouth of his is almost as constant as the sea with his complaints. "Too fuckin' hot." (And coming from the boiler room-dwelling dream demon, that was quite something...That or a pretty lousy excuse) "Can't be assed to move." And why can't that muscled-up mush-for-brains Jason "Mommy Please Tie My Shoes For Me" Voorhees come over and do something useful? Like chop down some palm trees to make a raft to get him the Hell off of this godforsaken spit of sand? -Our red and green troublemaker will be sure to stay a healthy distance and a half away from the fire pit that the good doctor has managed to put together. Despite the drop in temperature when the sun sets, our favorite strip of bacon keeps his distance in case of a particularly strong gust of island wind. Fuck forbid it catch his sweater on fire and he burn alive a third time. (Although should this happen, no doubt a certain Boogeyman would enjoy chucking him into the water to put out the flames solely for the indulgence of a Mr. Voorhees) -While not keen on the idea of pulling his weight around the island, he will shred down some coconuts with his glove. (Lazily letting its soothing juices cool his scarred skin and tongue in the shade) -Jokes, insults, and pranks are bound to happen with the up-to-no-good bastard around. One day a brilliant, though repulsive and immature idea comes to him in the form of an invasive game of his own making: Something he has coined "Piss Off!". Sneaking up behind the doll, Freddy quietly takes himself out of his pants to piss a stream over the back of the crazed, reddish head of hair below. Chucky is initially confused, and Freddy can hardly hold his laughter in when the doll brushes a hand over his scalp before looking up to check the skies for rain. One swift turn later and the possessed toy is belligerent in his rage as he screams and swears, as equal in his fury as in his disgust. Meanwhile Freddy is laughing the hardest he ever fucking has.
Jason Voorhees: -Our gentle giant is not pleased with the thought of being surrounded on all sides by ocean. He leaves the sea-faring to his most trusted and capable companion, Michael Myers. (Dr. Lecter insists that the Boogeyman not travel alone in the deep blue so he ventures with him) While Michael takes to the sea, Jason roams the land. -While out exploring the jungle, our lovable lake man will rise to the occasion as skillful hunter in order to procure food for the rest of the boys; Setting up traps and lying in wait, Jason is completely within his element in the wild. (Though with every slaughtering of a creature, he will silently pass on a prayer just as Mother had taught him) -Feeling especially annoyed with how bossy and unhelpful his rival can be, it takes everything for Jason to keep his anger in check. (And resist the overwhelming temptation to throw Freddy into the nearest canopy of palm trees high above) He decides a nice walk through the immense greenery will be to his benefit and finding a particularly thick tree, carves his and Pamela's initials into the bark. -Jason and Michael work in a comfortable silence to bring down the mighty palms and jungle woods, cutting logs and sorting fire wood to ward away the chill of night. The duo, namely Jason, are the most ideal for building shelter. -When not enjoying the company of Michael Myers, Jason finds Dr. Lecter and Greg's company most enjoyable. The good doctor is always so understanding and Greg? Greg, much like Michael, always lends the best listening ear. Michael Myers: -One word: Mosquitos. The tiny insects have become the bane of his existence. No matter how many the Shape crushes and slaps with his large calloused hands, the bugs appear to return with vengeance day after day. The most infuriating is when the damn things weasel their way underneath the confines of his mask to invade his most intimate space. In those moments he feels a murderous rage like no other. One especially insufferable occasion has him rushing to the water's edge to completely submerge his head under the surface in hopes of drowning the bugs inside. Michael is a pro at holding his breath and he relishes knowing that the insects are not as talented at it. -He wants to twist Greg's neck as though it were a very stubborn pickle jar lid. Being under surveillance is a sensation that gets under his skin almost as much as the mosquitos do. While he is aware that the poor camera man is only doing his job, Michael wants to smash his equipment nonetheless. The smaller and more mangled the camera would become, the more and more seeing the tiny pieces scatter would appease his destructive nature. (Though he knows Ghostface would be exceptionally sour with him over ruining such a "fun" device) -The boys insist on taking turns with the hammock that Jason and Dr. Lecter have constructed. When Freddy refuses to adhere to the rule, Michael has no qualms with strolling over and knocking the dream demon right out of the swing to inhale a face full of sand. Freddy's sputters and coughs behind him are one of the few things that has Michael's mouth quirking in the suggestion of a smile. -Originally Michael was wary over the good doctor's presence, but Dr. Lecter is every bit the successful psychiatrist that Samuel Loomis was not, and some immeasurably small part of him finds glimpses of peace in the older man's company. Questing out into the water with him is surprisingly thrilling. (A shark had once snuck up on the doctor, and Michael had not hesitated in delivering a punch to the animal's sensitive snout. Afterwards Dr. Lecter had informed him that it in fact had been a great white)
Hannibal Lecter: -The good doctor is well built for his age. His stature is broad and healthy and he uses the strength he has to his advantage. While not too enthused on the idea that sand will get absolutely everywhere, he does not mind rolling up his sleeves to get the job done. In his case, there are many he attends to. -He often goes with Jason through the jungle, educating the forest hunter on which fruits and creatures are ideally edible for their situation. Meals on the island, as bare bones and unappealing as they are in comparison to modern life, are improved upon by his practiced hands. Hannibal has an eye for flavor and he easily spots from the surrounding flora what ought to go on their courses and what should not. -He has come to learn a lot about Greg. Their human companionship has him recalling simpler times; Names and faces of those less murderous and far more intriguing. Greg often serves for him as a reminder to life before the island. -He is adamant that he will not let himself, let alone the group go hungry. Starvation is a suffering he would not wish upon anyone, even if his current company is at times insufferable. Some portion of him revels in this challenge that is their situation: Another chance to conquer the dires of survival. He faces this with open arms and bared teeth. Against the raw power of mother nature, Hannibal feels young again; Possibly the most alive he has felt in years. -At night he points out the constellations to Jason. The giant seems in awe of the beauty above them and the larger slasher never appears to tire of his celestial lessons. -He has noticed that the Shape had been suffering as of late due to the hordes of mosquitos. Luckily, the good doctor has a wealth of knowledge and know-how at his disposal. He gladly instructs and provides a mixture of the island's natural remedies to keep the insects at bay. And additionally, he can always tell the time due to the position of the sun and it's following shadows. The island's species are also subject to his keen education.

Claire Redfield From Resident Evil + LH version
This time our seat is reserved for a survivor, please welcome the sexy redhead and queen of getting in trouble of the Resident Evil franchise!, the one and only, Claire Redfield!
Let's face it, of the whole series of RE games, Ms. Redfield HAS to be the most unlucky redhead of the entire cast, wait... what you said?... she is the only redhead? oh well... *ahem* as I was saying, I love Claire as a character, but damn! her luck is just something!
SPOILERS AHEAD (if you haven't played Resident Evil and plan to do it without spoilers you may want to skip to the end).
-Arriving at Raccoon City on the worst time looking for her brother (who isn't even there) - CHECK! - RE 2
- Getting thrown in a prison on an forbidden island run by sickos  - CHECK! - RE Code: Veronica
-Escaping from said island just to crash on the ANOTHER place full imminent death, ice and danger - CHECK! RE Code: Veronica
- Joining Terra Save organization and investigating a case that led her to go to exact airport where a virus outbreak takes place - CHECK! RE Degeneration
- Getting tased, knocked out and kidnapped, then carried to an underground site and strapped to a chair where she almost dies (again) then has to be saved by Leon (again!) - CHECK! RE Infinite Darkness
- And finally getting betrayed by the same organization SHE joined (Terra Save) to be sent to... yeah you guessed it ANOTHER godforsaken prison island, to... ye... you guessed it again, fight for her life (and her partner Moira Burton), just escape end up in an hospital where they apparently thought it was a good idea to cut her hair with "The Good Guy Style" (like Chucky from Child's Play), and FINALLY come back to the same damned island to rescue her partner, well... wait... that actually didn't end too bad, but you get the idea! -CHECK!
Wait...again? 1 sec please, *helpers whisper* uh huh... uh huh... uh huuuuh... "but it doesn't count as bad luck when YOU are the one who looks for trouble...you're bound to find it" Mmmm... true, true. *ahem* the point here is... Claire IS a survivor, and as such, she is a strong, skilled, gentle and very human lady and why not say it? in the end she IS lucky, (I mean... to survive ALL that, well...).
If you like strong-willed but kind-hearted, compassionate ladies, that bring a LOT of trouble to the equation (and exciting adventures with it) then Claire Redfield is the perfect waifu for you!, leave some good love for her on the comments section and I'll see you on the next one.
Cheers!

GIVE THEM CANDY
❗️For commonly asked qs please see my BTD FAQ
Tumblr media
Strade takes his “imaginary” friends trick or treating 🎃
Tumblr media
Rire basically went as himself but dressed up as a king (lol) with a cloak and a paper crown. Strade is Chucky. Sano wanted to be a doctor but the other 2 were like you gotta be a snail or a mermaid cos you dont got legs it’s perfect so they compromised and now he’s Dr. Snail.
Tumblr media
Oh it’s actually more of the opposite! You see demon powers affect humans fairly equally, it’s how they are affected by Battle Priest powers where their background counts. For eg a Buddhist Battle Monk would be rather ineffective against Rire, compared to a Christian based BP.
Tumblr media
Hello and thank! :) Haha yes i am still answering questions about him so it is no worries at all (and your english is fine! ^^). To answer your q, no Rire is not a shapeshifter - he will always look like himself. Though i suppose after a bit of time he could make someone hallucinate that he is a different person, but generally he doesn’t use that power like that.
Tumblr media
Oh yes actually. Fun fact is that for the things Rire cant do personally (and there are a few), he utilises an extensive network of other people that he has at his disposal. This is why sometimes he makes a deal in exchange for a favour or several, rather than their soul.
As for things on principal, there are a few “soul stealer rules” that all soul stealers adhere to (an old belief system if you will, a lot based on practicality but there’s nothing stopping any of them from ignoring the rules though it is largely frowned upon and those who are known to are shunned). An example of one such rule is that a person has to [technically] agree to a deal. I say “technically” because it doesnt matter if the person is under duress or not, as long as at that point of the deal their intent was agreeance. You might have noticed in BTD Rire specifically asked MC to agree to the deal before he actually did anything.
Tumblr media
That is a good q and i have no exact idea XD Rire by himself is already fairly strong yes, for eg he’s easily capable of lifting both Strade and Sano at the same time and could stack on more after that (he was slightly less strong before becoming a Royal, but still stronger than the average human).
When lifting things with his ichor, Rire becomes much stronger. The strength of the ichor is not dependent on his physical strength but on his mental fortitude. He could fling a car like that, etc.
Tumblr media
I was just reminded of this pic LOL.
Definitely ones with demons in them XD Which he would then critique. The genres he’d be most interested in would be supernatural/paranormal horror and psychological horror.
Tumblr media
The real question is, did said person escape...or did Rire let them go on purpose?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that would really depend on like...the other person’s magical lore? As a the type of demon that Rire is, he compartmentalises a lot so i guess you’d have to work to target the correct area in his brain to begin with XD
Tumblr media
All very good questions
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I haven’t quite made up so much about these things other than they are kinda weird and a bunch of them are technically cryptids lol.
Tumblr media
Thanks muchly! ^^
1) Well, i draw a bit better now so I’d like to have better looking sprites LOL. I see some of my old sprites and i’m like ...Lord. Such is art life |D Also maybe I’d give ppl that one actually survivable Rire ending I’d thought of but decided against in favour of making everyone suffer lol.
2) This one is answered in my FAQ :)

what would be the slashers' (ordinary) hobbies besides, ya know, killin' and chillin? please <3
Slashers' ordinary hobbies, besides killing (SFW)
Y’know, I’ve never considered this before! Lemme see what I've got! Hope this is what you wanted ^^
Jason Vorhees
i actually think jason would enjoy furniture refurbishing? as boring as that sounds, when you live out in the middle of nowhere like he does, i imagine he needs to use every resource he can to his benefit! plus it keeps his hands busy!
hunting is likely a necessity for his survival and not so much a hobby, but it’s probably fun for him to make stuff out of the furs! like hats or coats!
he probably enjoys sewing or stitching! since he has to keep his clothes maintained and can’t exactly buy new ones, he’s probably got some tailoring skills to him!
jason's probably a gardener too! living off the land, i could see him stealing some seeds to grow food! a man can only eat meat for so long before he's bored...
Ghostface (Billy Loomis & Stu Macher)
oh those two love watching movies! even if they're not horror movies, those two love pretending they're renowned critics giving reviews. on the plus side, they can probably tell you how special effects and lighting work. on the downside they are the most annoying motherfuckers to watch movies with sometimes
honestly those two have made a snuff film or two together before
billy enjoys playing guitar whenever he's alone! he get too nervous to play for company but if he thinks no one will listen, he'll play
stu plays video games, mainly horror ones. sometimes he'll let people watch him, but usually if he just wants to fuck around. he's too focused on being funny when people are watching him
Bubba Sawyer/Leatherface
cooking! of course this man enjoys making a home cooked meal for the ones he loves. don't think too hard about what it's made of!
he's also a baker! usually he stress bakes but sometimes he'll do it just for fun. however, if you see him making bread, thats a major indicator he's stressed out
he's actually a capable handyman and makes things like tables and chairs! one day, bubba wants to work more with metal
i actually could see bubba enjoying gardening too, but maybe a bit differently than jason. they both grow food but i think bubba would also enjoy growing flowers and bushes to make the house pretty!
Michael Myers
he enjoys painting! it's something quiet he can do alone and its a good way for him to let his feelings out
michael definitely enjoys wood carving. he's got various little figurines he's made of various animals that he has lined up on his windowsill
boxing! he's gotta stay fit somehow, so he usually goes to the exercise room at the asylum to punch something
its a bit embarrassing but if you give him some sticks, he's actually really good at drumming!
Brahms Heelshire
brahms likes working with clay! he makes various pots and cups. sometimes he'll work with porcelain too, if he feels fancy
he really likes writing, particularly romance poetry ;)
if he goes missing for any extended period of time, he's usually in his library. reading is a major comfort for him
knitting is also something he really enjoys, especially if he can get a pattern for a cute stuffed animal!
Freddy Krueger
obviously metalworking is a major hobby of his! it's honestly scary how much he can make
if need be, he's actually really good at face painting, but he's never told anyone why
sometimes he just likes to go for walks :) especially if its cold outside
man makes a mean fucking coffee, lemme tell you. if it's legally considered coffee, freddy can make it
Chucky the Doll
not sure if this counts as a hobby, but he'd certainly count smoking as one of his hobbies
sometimes he likes to draw on himself! small little doodles. if you sat still long enough, you could probably get him to draw on you
when you're a doll, you've gotta be good at sewing. theres just no way around it!
he's surprisingly creative! painting is something he enjoys, but in a very... abstract way? sometimes he just likes throwing paint at the canvas and seeing what happens

the set up
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sunwoo x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 2.6k
Summary: Changmin tricks you and Sunwoo into going on a date.
“So what do you think?” Changmin asked while you sat down at the table, both coffees in hand.
“Let me get this straight,” you tried to recall everything he told you on the way to the cafe, “you showed a picture of me to your friend, he thought I was cute, and now he wants to go on a date with me?” You raised an eyebrow, wondering what got in Changmin’s head to set you up with someone so suddenly, though this wasn’t completely unexpected from him.
Changmin was your best friend since you sat next to each other in kindergarten and he has been trying to set you up with someone ever since. You can thank Changmin for setting you up with your first boyfriend Sangyeon, who broke up with you after a week because you stepped on his favorite crayon. Of course, Changmin only set you up with Sangyeon so he could sit next to Younghoon, who was his crush at the time.
“Both of you are single and he’s a great guy, super hot. Trust me, he’s one of my closest friends,” he tried to convince you. “Are you down?” He eagerly waited for your response as you took a sip from your coffee.
You didn’t see a reason to deny it, it’s not like you were seeing anyone at the moment, or have seen anyone for a while. Not to mention Changmin’s approval was hard to get, he disapproved of all your previous boyfriends. His judgment always turned out to be right because they all ended up breaking your heart. Your failed relationships stopped you from wanting to get out there but that never stopped Changmin from trying.
At the same time, you felt flattered that this friend of his thought you were attractive enough to want to go on a date. You’d be lying if you said that didn’t boost your ego.
But you still didn’t know anything about him. Or if he’s even your type. If you’re going to get played by a guy, you’d rather be played by a hot guy.
“Does this friend have a name, and what does he look like?” You tried to ask Changmin nonchalantly, though you couldn’t help but start to feel a little curious.
Changmin excitedly let out a squeal and pulled up a picture from his Instagram. “YAY! I’ll take that as a yes. His name is Sunwoo and he’s the same age as you. I met him at dance camp.”
He waved his phone in front of your face and you snatched it out of his hand to get a better look.
“SEE, isn’t he hot?” Changmin smirked because he already knew your answer.
To say he was hot was an understatement. He had a sharp jawline, full lips, and beautiful honey skin. You knew that Changmin had hot friends but you didn’t know that they were this hot. You still couldn’t believe that he wanted to go on a date with you. He seemed like someone out of your league, you never would have had the courage to talk to him first.
“And why did you show him a pic of me?” You asked, suddenly checking your Instagram feed to see the possible pictures that Changmin could have shown Sunwoo. Your last post could have been better.
Changmin sighed and pushed you off the booth to hide his panic because he didn’t know how to answer you. “So many questions. Just go get ready and I’ll text you the address.”
“WHAT? It’s today? You didn’t think to tell me that it’s today? That is not enough time.” You racked your brain trying to figure out possible outfits and whether you should shave your legs.
“Bye, go get ready!” Changmin nearly kicked you out of the cafe. While you made your way to your house to get ready, Changmin made his way to Sunwoo’s house.
“And why are you here?” Sunwoo asked upon opening his door.
Changmin pouted. “Can’t a normal guy just miss his best friend?”
“Sure, a normal guy can, but you aren’t normal. You didn’t even think to bring your best friend a cup of coffee.” Sunwoo playfully scowled, before moving aside to let Changmin in.
Ordinarily, Changmin would have brought another cup of coffee for Sunwoo, but it completely slipped his mind as he was busy convincing you to agree to the date.
“I brought you something better than coffee.” Changmin paused, waiting for Sunwoo’s reaction. But no reaction came as Sunwoo turned to walk back to his room.
“Can you guess what I brought you?” The older boy asked as he followed the younger one to his room.
Sunwoo turned to look at Changmin and pretended to think. “No.”
“Pretty please can you guess?”
“No.”
“Guess or I’ll leave with my better-than-coffee gift.” Changmin attempted to threaten him.
“If this is your dumb Chucky doll, then I told you already that I don’t want it. Give it to Chanhee or someone else.” Sunwoo doesn’t miss the slight blush that appeared on Changmin’s cheeks upon mentioning Chanhee.
Changmin dramatically gasps. “First of all, my Chucky doll is not DUMB, it is CUTE. Second of all, I already tried to ask Chanhee but he doesn’t want it, but that’s beside the point. No, it is not my Chucky doll, you wish it was. Guess correctly or I’m leaving.”
Sunwoo questioned whether Changmin really was the older one. “Well, you know the exit.”
“Okay fine, I’ll just tell you.” Changmin rolled his eyes at how uncooperative Sunwoo was.
“I showed my friend a picture of you and she thought you were hot. She said she wants to go on a date with you.” Changmin repeated the same story that he told you.
“She wants to go on a date with me?” Sunwoo repeated with a look of uncertainty. Changmin took a sip of his now cold coffee from when he met up with you just earlier before nodding. He pulled up a picture of you from your Instagram and gave Sunwoo his phone.
Sunwoo stared down in shock. “You’re not just messing with me?”
Changmin shook his head. “No, she’s totally into you. She’s super cool, source: trust me bro.”
Part of Sunwoo thought that Changmin was pranking him somehow. You seemed like the type of person that Sunwoo would have a one-sided crush on. He would only dream of asking you out. The other part of him considered whether he should believe Changmin. You seemed like a  cool person and Sunwoo wanted to get to know you. There was also no added fear of rejection since you did ask him out first.
“Say yes or I’ll introduce her to Juyeon or Haknyeon,” Changmin added, knowing that Sunwoo wouldn’t want to pass up this opportunity.
“Okay fine, when is the date?” Sunwoo walked over to his closet to begin planning what he would wear. He held up two shirts to get Changmins approval.
“In a couple of hours, and the white shirt looks better with your blazer,” Changmin replied quickly.
Sunwoo stared at Changmin in shock. “A couple of HOURS? Did you mean a couple of days?”
“Nope, it’s at eight today. Get ready pretty boy.” Changmin smiled mischievously, before heading towards the door to avoid Sunwoo’s inevitable breakdown.
As soon as Changmin was in his car, he let out another excited squeal. His plan had worked! Changmin told you that Sunwoo asked you on a date and he told Sunwoo that you asked him out on a date. He did this so both of you would end up going on the date feeling cocky, each person would think that the other person liked them more.
Changmin was friends with both you and Sunwoo, though you two never met because you were in two different friend groups. Changmin couldn’t help but think that you two would be perfect together. He decided he wanted to play matchmaker because you two were hopelessly indecisive and would never make the first move. You both overthought every detail, you felt insecure because your past relationships were rocky and Sunwoo felt insecure because of his fear of rejection. That is why he composed a plan to get you both on the date feeling confident. You two wouldn’t have to worry about whether the other person liked the other, as you’ve both done on previous dates, and would just get to know each other. His plan was quite perfect if he did say so himself.
Tumblr media
You waited outside the doors of the fancy restaurant that Changmin had made reservations for. You took out your phone to check your makeup and hair one more time. You took a deep breath and walked up to the waiter. You told him your name and waited for him to look you up in the system.
“Party of two? The first party has already arrived. I will lead you to your table.” You felt your heart pick up its pace knowing that Sunwoo was already there waiting for you.
As you made your way through the restaurant, you saw him first. He was already gorgeous on Instagram, but he looked 10 times better in person. You appreciated a man that could dress and accessorize. Sunwoo looked up from his phone and locked eyes with you. His eyes were so pretty, you swore you could see sparkles in them. You didn’t know why you felt more nervous in front of him. He got up from his seat to take out your chair.
“Oh, you didn’t need to.” You said while sitting down, but you couldn’t help but smile. How is he that fine AND respectful?
Sunwoo walked back to his seat. “But I wanted to.”
Changmin should’ve given you a warning, you don’t think you could survive a whole date with him.
A waiter approached your table. “Hello, I’m Kevin Moon and I will be your waiter for the evening. Take a look at the menu and I’ll come back in a few minutes to take your order.”
You and Sunwoo both nodded at Kevin and he left you two alone.
“Since we haven’t formally met, I guess I’ll introduce myself. Hi, I’m (y,n).” You struggle to get words out because of how nervous you are.
“Hi, I’m Sunwoo, it's nice to finally meet you. Changmin has told me so much about you.” Sunwoo brushed the hair out of his eyes, a nervous habit of his.
“Only good things I hope.” You responded, taking a sip of your water.
“Yeah, I was a little offended when he called you his best friend. I thought I was his best friend with how much he bothers me.” Sunwoo joked.
“Technically we’re bestie-in-laws. But you can keep him if you want. He’s always up to something.” He laughed at your response and you knew that you wanted to hear that laugh more often.
“Should we order?” You asked, remembering the menus in front of you. He nodded and you both took the time to figure out what you wanted. Kevin returned once again to take your orders and left just as quickly as he came.
With your conversation interrupted, you both tried to come up with something to talk about.
Sunwoo bit back a smile when he remembered that Changmin told him that you liked him enough to want to go on a date with him. Remembering this, he felt less nervous. He usually felt nervous during dates because he tried super hard to impress the other person, but he felt less of a pressure to do this. Instead of creating a fake personality, he decided he wanted to just be himself.
You both made small talk and found out that you shared similar hobbies. Sunwoo was so charming and you found yourself wanting to know more about him. It was easy to hold a conversation and you forgot about how nervous you were. The wait for the food didn’t even feel long because of how well you two were hitting it off.
“Did Changmin tell you anything about me?” He decided to ask.
“I heard that you met him in dance camp. You like dancing?” You said in between bites.
“I honestly joined because Changmin didn’t want to go there alone. But I’m not too bad myself.” Sunwoo admitted.
“That does sound like Changmin. He always ends up somehow convincing me to watch scary movies with him.”
“Changmin is always scheming. I wouldn’t be surprised if this date was a part of an elaborate plan.” Sunwoo rolled his eyes as he thought of all the questionable things Changmin had made him do. “That's why I thought he was pranking me when he said you liked me first.”
“He said I liked you first?” You raised your eyebrow. “He told me that you liked me first.”
Sunwoo tilted his head quizzically. “Something is not adding up.”
“Maybe you’re onto something about Changmin always scheming.” You put down your fork. “Now that I think about it, Changmin has been acting weird lately. Has he told you anything?”
Sunwoo stopped to think about Changmin’s recent behavior. “No, I just know that he’s been hanging out with Chanhee a lot recently.”
“Changmin always does find a way to talk about Chanhee.” You thought back to your last few conversations with him.
Sunwoo’s eyes suddenly widened as he pieced certain information together.
“Wait, do you know something?” You asked him.
“I think I do, but I can’t say for sure.”
“I’m 100% sure that Changmin set us up for a reason. I wouldn’t have questioned it as much if he set me up with a stranger, but a close friend is a bit suspicious. And now of all times? Should we put our heads together?”
“Ok.” Sunwoo agreed to your collaboration. “What do you know?”
“Well, I know that Changmin blushes whenever Chanhee is around so…” You trailed off.
You didn’t have to finish your sentence because Sunwoo already knew what you were insinuating. “Oh my god, that's what I was going to say too.”
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
“Are you thinking that Changmin set us up just so he can have a double date with Chanhee?” Sunwoo asked to confirm whether you both came to the same conclusion.
“That's exactly what I was thinking.”
You two burst out laughing.
“By the way,” he paused to look you in the eyes, “what exactly did Changmin say to get you to agree to go on this date?”
“He told me he showed you a picture of me and that you thought I was cute and that you wanted to go on a date with me.” You recited what Changmin told you.
His jaw dropped. “No way, he told me the same thing word for word.”
“So did you agree to this blind date because you thought I was hot or because you thought I liked you?” You decided to be bold.
“Um, maybe both?” He felt his cheeks turn hot. You were sure that your cheeks also supported the same shade of pink as his.
“Well, we have to get Changmin back. How about we plan the double date but end up ditching them so he has to deal with it alone?” You proposed. “Give him a taste of his own medicine?”
“You’re evil.” Sunwoo pretended to be taken aback. “But I am too so I love that idea.”
“Maybe we can ditch them and hang out together?” Sunwoo suggested.
“Only if it's another date.” You didn’t know where this newfound confidence came from, but you promised to thank Changmin for setting you up with such a great guy.
“It's a date.” He winked.

Note
okay okay, LET ME COOK
Nica: Alright, D-7890, D-0987 and D-3456. Please state your names, and dates of birth for the record.
Lexy: Okay. I'm Lexy-
Nica: Your full names, please.
Jake: Right. Okay, uhm, Jake Logan Wheeler. 2009, I don't know my date of birth.
Devon: Devon Aaron Evans, April 20th, 2009.
Lexy: Alexandra Amelia Cross, November 21st, 2009.
Nica: Mhm. *writing stuff down* Do you know why we called you three in here today?
Jake: Uh...no?
Nica: The foundation has reasons to suspect that you, especially you Jake, are anomalous.
Lexy: I'm sorry, huh-?
Devon: Anomalous, us?
Nica: Mhm. With you Lexy, you show extreme, non-coincidental amounts of luck. We had a D-Class member, just like you, who could flip a coin 50 times and land heads each time. With Devon, anyone he seems to touch reports dead, due to a test or natural causes. Jake, anyone you spend time with, dies in three day's time.
Devon: Okay, but that doesn't mean-
Nica: Devon. You're 17 years old. You all have survived 5,980 tests. You've been here for seven years. D-Class rarely survive a week.
Jake: ...What're you gonna do to us?
Nica: We're gonna run some tests, see if our theories report true. Devon, you will keep your hands to yourself and you and Jake will unfortunately have to be contained. If you're anomalous, you all will be contained and given numbers. I'm sorry, but we can't risk you guys being a danger.
Devon: No, it's cool...I get it. It's fine.
Lexy: Will I get to see them again?
Nica: I can't answer those questions. Time will tell.
Thoughts?
This sounds so wild! I love it! I’d definitely like to hear more like other Chucky characters (Junior or the twins or Andy) in this AU!

Chucky-He Has Risen
Spoiler warning....
......
.....
......
.....
......
Warning....
Seriously....
SPOILER WARNING.....
Though in truth....
Don’t feel much to talk about?...
Anyway last spoiler warning...
Sooo the ep was kinda boring. Not that I’m completely complaining. Devon and Lexy saved Andy. Soooo LOVE YOU KIDS! Both him and Kyle are alive... I mean poor Andy’s been tortured and Kyle lost an ear.... soo... ...all the more reason I want these kids to surive this season!
So Don Mancini please don’t kill off my original heroes! If Andy is dead because of Chucky or that stupid psychiatrist I’ll be pissed. I mean I’m super sad about Nadine ... explains her actress’ instagram though....again she was becoming my fav of the group... but should have saw it coming. I mean she was sweet, naive to the group and the bigger picture, .... lets be honest I think we all kinda knew their “less than a day” brainwashing wasn’t gonna work.
And if Jake falls for this I’m not gonna lie I’ll roll my eyes... mostly cause well I don’t know if Don Mancini is getting too “thought provoking” with Chucky’s character (s) ... but pft I’m sorry I don’t see Chucky as someone who was turned evil. That crazy psychiatrist helped .. I guess but like Tiff I just see that these characters just honestly chose to follow evil/murder, yada, yada.
So what I assume is an “exorcism”  or some form of demon purging? Part of me is skeptical but aslo curious... as far as I know this series has never tried you know “mixing  cultures” or religions? I dunno cause I assume Chucky’s soul jumping is due to voodooism? so... using a Catholic/Christian stuff to defeat him... uhh interesting but still skeptical becausee we got two more episodes. Plus not gonna lie be almost funny if the “excorcism” or whatever backfired and he possessed the priest. Not funny haha just I dunno.
Any thoughts.... uhh the supposed fight that happened between buff Chuck and “Colonel” Chuck was kinda disappointing... I mean arsenic? Really would had been cool to see a real fight but ahh well. Maybe Mancini couldn’t afford it.
Sooo... Glenda is either not sure what they want or maybe changing minds on following the killer family footsteps. I’m not against the idea but two more eps lets see what happens.
The psychiatrist knew Chucky as a kid... okay...still not buying she made him evil. More of wondering whats her ultimate goal? Does she have a thing for killers? Is this like a ref to that ”Cult of Chucky” where she’s some disciple? I’m just “What is your endgame?”.... Sister Ruth’s nuts 8B. But I think it was obvious when she saw the dumb doll as god. And maybe the next Tiff? I dunno the part were steroid Chuck was all “you should dye your hair blonde”. Felt like a nod to Tiff. Maybe we’re getting a new teamup (if Mancini gets another season)
Though endgames again whats gonna happen to Tiff and the twins? Glenda’s having... identity crises? or conflict of feelings... will the twins really return to their old vessel? Tiff and Tilly... are the group gonna make them switch back? I just I dunno whats gonna happen here. If by some miracle Tiff switches back, Tilly’s still in a bind cause she’d be somewhat framed for the crimes Tiff committed. Plus I really wanna see Tiff get her punishment for what she put Nica through.
Think thats about it. Sorry to see Nadine go. Hope the original kids Andy/Kyle survive this season. I admit I dunno what  Mancini has planned for them, but I’d rather have them retire instead of being killed off. Just let the kids retire if he ever plans to shelve them.
Want Nica freed too. Kinda feel if  Mancini ever retired them, she’d be the new “andy” to take on that mantle. Don’t have anything else cause we got two more eps.

Plans
Part 2 of the last fic. Still not proofread. Might edit later.
Everyone has a response to terror. An instinct when the blood runs cold. Fight, flight, fawn, and freeze. The Ray family’s response to terror, is freak the fuck out.
“Dad, stop it, let her go!” Glen screamed.
“Glen, go to your room, the adults are talking,” Chucky said. Tiffany made a reach for the knife, but Chucky kept it out of reach. She was pinned against the wall and couldn’t move an inch without him noticing. Glen ran up to their dad and pulled at his shoulder. Their father just rolled his eyes. And when they started hitting him, he turned his head and released one hand to grab Glen and shove them to the ground.
Tiffany saw her chance and grabbed the antler of the deer skull. It popped out of the socket and she bashed the back of his skull as he turned back around. He didn’t go down but she didn’t think he would. He let go and staggered back. She could work with what she had. She walked around him, putting distance between her and the wall, as he recovered.
“Okay Andy, now that you’re back, maybe we can have a mature conversat…” before she could finish he had torn the deer antler from her hands and used it to bash her knee, sending her to the ground.
“Fuck Tiff, that took me hours!” he responded, tossing away the antler. He kneeled over her.
“You’re still you” she said, confused. He put his hands on her throat again
“Yeah, different piece, different body, different rules,” he said. Glen grabbed their head and tried to squint away the black spots in their vision.
“Anyway, I don’t know what you thought bringing Andy back would accomplish. He wants you dead just as much as I do,” he said, his grip tightened around her throat again
“Maybe more,” he shrugged, “I mean, ya killed his sister,” Tiffany’s eyes widened.
“...Didn’t,” she choked out.
“Oh please, you set up the bomb, I was a severed head at the time, even if I helped. You did it!” he responded, emphasizing the last sentence.
“Not…dead…” she said. “What?” he responded, taken aback, his grip loosened slightly.
“Kyle’s… not… dead” she said. His hands were off his throat, and he fell back leaning on his feet. He looked visibly shaken. Tiffany took the chance to kick him in the gut and knock him back so she could get up. Glen came over and helped her up. Andy grabbed the top of the end table to pull himself up. He leaned against the wall for support and grabbed his head with one of his hands, squinting with pain. Before Tiffany could even think about what to do next. Andy had pulled the knife back out and was pointing it at her.
“Talk! Now,” he demanded. Tiffany was unfazed, Glen could see that. She went to the couch and sat down. Her knee seemingly recovered.
“She’s not dead, don’t know how she survived, but she’s alive, she’s off with Nica and Glenda,” Tiffany said. Glen walked over to Andy. They were trying to get him to sit down, but he wouldn’t budge.
“How do you know this?” he asked.
“I called Glenda from a payphone and I overheard her on the other end,” she said.
“You could be lying,” he said.
“I could. But you and I both know I’m not,” she responded. Andy looked away from both of them.
“Kyle’s alive,” he said. He was smiling, Glen never saw him smile that big. It only lasted a second before the same consistent terror in his eyes came back stronger than ever.
“This is good news right, your sister’s alive, she can help you,” Glen said in a panic, trying to support Andy and get him to sit down.
“You knew, didn’t you?” he asked. Glen really was a shit liar.
“I managed to steal my phone back and call Glenda for a second, and they told me,” they said.
“Must have been after me, because they didn’t seem to know about Andy’s predicament,” Tiffany said. Glen glared at her for a second before looking away.. “I didn’t get a chance to tell them, Dad broke my phone before I could,” Glen said.
“Did you tell them?” Andy asked, Tiffany chuckled.
“Of course not, that bitch stole my girlfriend, why would I give her help?” Tiffany said. Glen expected anger, or fear, but all of a sudden, Andy stood taller than before. He took a deep breath.
“Glen, do you remember what I told you?” he asked. After finding dad’s spare keys. He had told them how to get to the nearest gas station and told them he had a plan and how he’d tell them he was enacting it. Glen nodded.
“I’m gonna need you to run now,” Andy said. Before Glen could react, Andy was in dad’s bedroom. They heard the door lock and a key fall down the sink drain.
“C’mon Barclay, you got one shot here,” he said under his breath. Glen stood there. Once they heard their dad again, they could run. They’d borrow a phone at the gas station and call Glenda. Their mom was smiling.
…
Then they heard their father screaming.
“HE SLIT MY FUCKING WRISTS!” Glen’s face blanched. Tiffany grabbed their hand and tried to pull them to the door.
“C’mon Glen, let’s get out of here,” Tiffany said with a warm smile. Glen could hear their father looking under the floorboards for the spare key and screaming in horror when he didn’t find them. Glen reached into their pocket where they had all the keys.
“Glen, champ, I need you to open the door,” he sounded desperate.
“Glen, we need to leave,” Tiffany said.
“Glen, open the door!” he demanded.
“Ignore him Glen, he can’t hurt you now,” Tiffany said, petting Glen’s hair and trying to guide their head to make them look at her and not at the bedroom door.
“But… he’ll die,” Glen said.
“Your father has tried to kill us before, there’s no reason to protect him, plus he’s got other pieces of him, so it’s not even really death,” Tiffany said, trying again to pull them out the door.
“GLEN OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!”  he was begging
“What about Andy?” Glen asked, concerned.
“What about Andy?” Tiffany asked, confused.
“Andy’s dying,” Glen said.
“And…” Tiffany said, before noticing Glen’s concern.
“He’s my friend,” Glen said, they sounded small.
“Look, Andy Barclay, is an annoying pest with little to live for who wants nothing more than to kill your parents. He’s made his choice. This doesn’t have to be our problem anymore,” Tiffany said, she held both of Glen’s hands. Glen finally looked their mother in the eyes.
“You knew he’d do this, didn’t you?” Glen asked. Tiffany looked away for a second. Before looking back in Glen’s burning eyes.
“He threw himself off a cliff when he thought she was dead, it was fair to assume he’d die to keep her safe,” Tiffany said. Glen pulled their hands away.
“Glen, I’m sorry, I know I’ve been shitty. I’ll be better. Please… I don’t want to die,” he was begging.
“I think you should leave,” Glen said to their mother. They opened the bedroom door. Their father was trying to press down on his wounds with white washcloths that had been soaked red.
“What do you need me to do,” Glen asked their father. He gave them a small smile. “Get the first aid kit from the cabinet next to the kitchen. I’ll walk you through stitching up my wrists,” he said. Glen nodded. They went to grab the kit. Tiffany just stared at them in disbelief. When they got back, their dad started talking.
“Thank you kiddo. I meant what I was saying, I’m going to be kinder, more patient. We’re going to fix this, all of it,” he said.
“Okay dad,” Glen said with a nod.
“I love you kiddo,” he said.
“I love you too dad,” they responded. Chucky pulled them in for a hug, dripping blood down their back. As Tiffany watched, Chucky flipped her off behind Glen.
