2021 – Let the Games Begin

10. A Christian Secession – How Long will Apple Pie Remain?

Major League Baseball (MLB) and Coca-Cola (Coke) joined the ranks of the Demented Marxists (DM) this past week by deciding to move the All-Star game from Atlanta to Denver. The explanation was that they were opposed to the new racist voting laws passed by the Georgia legislature. DMs are all about political theatre. A review of the facts reveals this to be theater of the absurd:

1. Atlanta is predominately black and Denver is predominately white, so how does moving the All-Star game from a black city to a white city show solidarity with blacks?

2. The new legislation is “looser” than the standards previously labeled as being the threshold for acceptance by Biden and his mouthpieces in the so-called media but was still labeled “Jim Crow”. “Bad” can be white, southern, or both.

3. Perhaps the propaganda mills/media were simply attacking because Fulton County Georgia (Atlanta) last week also joined the list of communities being investigated for vote fraud. The Georgia Secretary of State and Board of Supervisors both lost court cases where they were attempting to block the investigation of the ballots used last November. If one is innocent, the investigation should be joyful. Of course, anyone that watched the videos from November knows fraud occurred.

Last week I mentioned that only baseball and apple pie were left from the “Racist List”. Baseball is apparently on the Racist List now. I wonder how the DMs will decide that apple pie is racist. Will it be the apples or the crust? I never thought about the color of the pie crust before… it is a shade of white or light brown. That must be why apple pie will be racist.

To not be racist, will an apple pie have to be made with a black crust? I never cared for burnt pie. But I do love my pie a la mode. I prefer vanilla ice cream with my apple pie. Does that make me a double racist because my apple pie has a white crust and vanilla ice cream? Maybe apple pie a la mode with vanilla ice cream simply confirms my racism. My favorite apple pie has a little cinnamon in it. Do those dark brown flecks of cinnamon give me any slack on the status of my racism? I think it is best to just have another slice of apple pie while I contemplate the question of my racism Please make it a la mode with vanilla ice cream.

Last week I closed my Bank of America accounts and moved them to a community bank new to our market. The branch manager decided to handle our exit personally explaining that we would receive a survey and our reply would impact her performance review. On Friday the Bank of America sent me their email survey about my action seeking feedback. The dark side of Ned had some fun thinking of my reply.

1. You do not like Trump, but I thought he was both correct and a hoot.

2. If Trump was running your bank, it would be Great Again but you are running it so it is mediocre.

3. I am not stupid enough to be Woke so I am taking my money with me to a smart bank.

Finally, I decided to just be candid and stated that when they froze the accounts of some prominent Trump supporters in January, I knew I needed to exit Bank of America. Anticlimactic, but accurate. The branch manager was a nice young lady. Her only mistake was working for a big bank. Big does not mean better, it just means big and inefficient.

Two quick notes about the current bizarre society the DM’s are creating:

1. Nod’s “not a crisis” at the southern border continues to be catastrophic with over 100,000 illegal immigrants in February and over 170,000 in March. Apparently, Nod’s administration is thinking of building more wall. Does that sound familiar? Are they going to relocate the one that was around the U.S. Capitol? It is only slightly used.

2. Did you see the report that over 250 biological male inmates in California have self-identified as women and applied to be moved to a prison for women? How do the DMs deny that request? Will judges have to start asking prisoners to self-determine where they go to serve their sentence? I am giddily waiting for the lawsuit to be filed seeking to force unisex prisons.

86 days into the DMs’ coup, here are some quick observations of events that will impact our economy:

1. The 10-year Treasury continues to fluctuate around 1.70%. This increase of over 1.0 % since the end of October of last year means mortgage rates have increased. Forecasts from various sources suggest by the end of 2021 the 10-year Treasury will be 2.5% to 3.0% and mortgage rates will increase to 4.0% to 4.5%.

2. Rising mortgage rates reduces the amount of mortgage loan that a buyer will qualify to obtain. That impacts their ability to buy thus reducing the number of potential home buyers thus slowing a major economic engine of the US recovery. Economic pendulums always swing too far. Bubbles always burst. There is never a “soft landing”.

3. The DM’s two “Infrastructure” bills, each $2 Trillion, are bad jokes. The pictures I saw of the “announcement” by Nod in Pittsburg showed a crowd of perhaps 12 folks if you count the secret service members. I find myself wondering:

A. Who in the world thinks these proposals are going to benefit the USA other than the unions who want to make everyone join a union?

B. How much do the DMs benefit financially from these disasters?

C. How did we get so many folks in government who have no real-world experience?

D. Idiots self-identify by claiming they can tax and spend our way into prosperity.

4. HR-1 has passed the House and its mirror, S-1, is poised to pass if Manchin gets bribed enough. Apparently, the Senate Parliamentarian is now in the tank as she ruled the DMs do not need a Republican vote to pass the “Infrastructure” bills. Would you like to know how much it cost the DM’s to get that decision?

5. Keep watching the activity about the fraudulent election last November.

a. The Michigan Supreme Court ruled that the Michigan Secretary of State exceeded her authority when she approved a variety of changes to the state’s election laws. Was the “certified” election in Michigan a fraud? YES.

b. The Republicans in the Arizona legislature have authorized and selected who will handle the hand recount of 2.1 Million votes in Maricopa County, Arizona.

c. Two weeks ago, Wisconsin’s legislature voted to investigate the 2020 election. All the DM’s voted against it. Odd behavior for anyone convinced the election was honest.

d. Now, the Fulton County (Atlanta) Georgia ballots are to be audited. Stay tuned, there is more to come.

The recession that is coming will be the seventh one in my career. The current shortage of housing results from government regulations that delay new communities from being built. The industry cannot quickly adjust to increased demand. However, every previous time I have witnessed bubbles burst, shortage become surplus. This is the peak of this economic cycle.

Unsustainable things continue until that unpredictable moment when they stop. In a financial crisis “Cash is King”. Get prepared.

A great piece of land remains The Best investment long term unless the DMs get us to full-fledged Marxism. Capitalism builds wealth, Marxism/Socialism consumes it in self destruction. Pray for a return to honest elections in the USA. God is in control. Men make plans, but God ALWAYS wins.
