pick me up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: jaehyun x gn!reader ft. sungho x gn!oc genre: fluff, crack, established relationship warning(s): mentions of food word count: 1.8k
summary: the three times jaehyun has (unsuccessfully) tried flirting with you through pick-up lines, and the one time you did it back to him.
Tumblr media
ZERO.
“So, how did you win your partner over?”
Jaehyun looks up from his phone to see Sanghyeok raising his eyebrows at Sungho, a genuinely curious expression resting on his face. Jaehyun puts down his phone, ears peeled for his best friend’s reply.
Sungho puts his cup of coffee back onto the saucer, expressionless. “Pick-up lines.”
Sanghyeok suddenly lets out a series of coughs, seemingly having choked on his drink. Jaehyun pats his back repeatedly, sheepishly smiling at patrons from neighbouring tables at the café who had looked over due to the commotion.
“Pick-up lines? I didn’t think you’d be the type to use them to flirt,” Sanghyeok manages after calming down, “To be fair, I didn’t think you were capable of flirting at all.”
“Okay, first of all, that’s offensive,” Sungho clutches his chest dramatically, “Second of all, it works wonders. You can’t say anything, because I’m the one with a partner.”
“Really?” Sanghyeok huffs, turning to Jaehyun, “I don’t trust him. Does it really work?”
Jaehyun blinks.
“I’ve… never tried it before,” he rubs the back of his neck sheepishly, and Sungho’s jaw drops a little.
“Dude, you’re actually missing out,” Sungho slaps Jaehyun on the back, “You should try it sometime. I’m sure y/n’s reaction will be gold.”
Jaehyun hums, internally putting his thinking cap on. He’ll try it as soon as he goes home to you.
Tumblr media
ONE.
“Honey, can you pass me your watch, please?” you poke your head through the gap between your bedroom door and the doorframe to see your boyfriend sitting on his side of the bed as he uses his phone.
“My watch?” Jaehyun looks up. He’s about to get up to find it, but he suddenly stops, gears turning in his head as you walk over to stand in front of him, “How about I give you my time instead?”
You chuckle, having not expected such a reply, and reach over to boop his nose. “That was a good one, honey, but I need your watch now. I told the watch repairer I’d be down at his shop like, ten minutes ago,”
Jaehyun smiles at the physical contact, but scrunches his nose in confusion immediately after, his mission of flirting with you through pick-up lines completely forgotten. “Why are you bringing my watch to the repair shop?”
“Honey, you told me you wanted it cleaned last week, didn’t you?” you ruffle his hair, endeared by his forgetfulness.
“Oh, right! I did,” Jaehyun’s eyes light up, recalling his request. He doesn’t know if you noticed, but he’s very sure there’s literal stars in his eyes. You always take care of him so well, and he’s nothing short of grateful. “Thank you, baby.”
You’ve already left for the repair shop quite a while ago when Jaehyun abruptly sits up from his lying-down position, sighing in disappointment.
You didn’t react to his pick-up line.
Tumblr media
TWO.
“Honey, can you pass me the tomato sauce in front of you?” you nudge your boyfriend softly, eyes focused on the long grocery list in your hand.
You’d come to the grocery store with Jaehyun in tow, a result of your puppy-like boyfriend begging you to bring him along.
“It’ll be like a date!” he had whined, though you would have gladly taken him along without him trying his best to persuade you.
Upon hearing no reply for a beat too long, you look up from the list to see Jaehyun looking down at his phone, eyes focused and eyebrows furrowed.
“Honey?” you try, and sure enough, Jaehyun doesn’t respond, completely distracted by whatever is on his phone screen at the moment. You tilt your head in confusion. “Jaehyun…?”
“Yes!?” Jaehyun suddenly flinches, snapping back into reality. He looks between you and the grocery list in your hand and smiles sheepishly. “Sorry. Sungho texted me.”
You hum, gesturing for him to pass you the tomato sauce you’d requested a few moments ago. “Yeah? What are the both of you up to this time?”
“I was just telling him about the shirt I’m wearing,” your boyfriend replies, placing the tomato sauce into the cart he was pushing around.
You spare a glance at the shirt in question. It’s a simple white tee that you’re sure Jaehyun bought in bulk a long time ago, and you struggle to pinpoint anything out of the ordinary.
“What’s wrong with the shirt?” you ask, utterly confused.
Jaehyun’s back straightens, eyes practically sparkling
“It’s the material,” he whines, moving closer to you, “Feel it.”
You raise an eyebrow, but find yourself obliging anyway. You reach forward and pinch your boyfriend’s sleeve with two fingers, feeling the material.
“There’s… nothing wrong with it?” you reply, contemplating whether or not to add a thermometer to your cart to check if Jaehyun has a fever.
“There is nothing wrong with it,” Jaehyun grins, “It’s boyfriend material.”
You pause, processing Jaehyun’s words before realising that you really should have seen this coming with all the signs.
“Did Sungho teach you this?” you ruffle your boyfriend’s hair, turning to push the cart down the aisle.
Jaehyun catches up to you immediately, a small pout on his face as he reaches over to push the cart instead of letting you do it. “He said he won Bailey over with this one.”
You laugh at the mention of Sungho’s partner, nudging Jaehyun with your shoulder. “Really? I’ll have to ask Bailey about that the next time we meet.”
Tumblr media
THREE.
“He told Jaehyun that? That’s definitely not how it went,” Bailey laughs as you recount your conversation with your boyfriend at the grocery store, “He cringed halfway through the line and refused to talk to me for a few hours because I teased him about it.”
You’re on a double date at the amusement park with Sungho and his partner, though with how you haven’t spoken a single word to Sungho and your boyfriend with the way the former pulled the latter aside as soon as all four of you met up and started whispering to each other like schoolgirls with secrets, you could say you’re practically on a date with just Bailey.
“Sounds like Sungho to me,” you reply, before gesturing at the two men walking in front of you. “Any idea what they’re whispering about? We’ve been here for, like, an hour and haven’t gone on any rides.”
“Probably pick-up lines,” Bailey shrugs, “Sungho’s been telling me all week about wanting to teach Jaehyun some pick-up lines so he can ‘succeed where I failed’, though I really don’t see the point since you’re already dating him. I told him to teach Sanghyeok instead, but he just said Sanghyeok doesn’t ‘see the vision’.”
This is news to you. You hum in response. “Huh, is that why he’s been using pick-up lines on me lately?”
Before Bailey can answer, the two men in front of you suddenly halt their footsteps and turn around, much to your confusion.
“Bailey and I are going to get some churros, we’ll catch the both of you later!” Sungho grabs Bailey’s hand and briskly walks away from you and Jaehyun, with Bailey squeaking out a “We are?” as they follow.
“What’s that about?” you turn to look at your boyfriend. Jaehyun looks back at you with a sheepish grin.
“I don’t know,” he replies in the most nonchalant tone he can muster, praying you don’t catch on to it (you do). “Let’s go ride the carousel!”
You raise an eyebrow at his behaviour, but oblige anyway, turning to walk towards the attraction.
“Wait!” Jaehyun suddenly raises his voice. You turn to face him, sheepishly bowing to passers-by who turned to look at the commotion.
“Your hand,” your boyfriend’s voice softens as he looks down at your right hand. “It looks heavy.”
“What–”
“Let me hold it for you!” In one swift motion, Jaehyun interlocks your right hand with his left, swinging them back and forth as he leads you to the carousel.
You stifle a laugh, turning to look at his reddened cheeks as he continues tugging you along while looking forward, refusing to meet your eyes.
You think you don’t mind Sungho teaching your boyfriend pick-up lines, if it means getting to see him flustered like this.
Tumblr media
+
Jaehyun wakes up from his nap to the smell of pasta.
He rolls over to face your side of the bed and reaches over in an attempt to pull you into his chest, only to have his hands find purchase on your pillow instead. Groaning, Jaehyun opens one of his eyes reluctantly, and sure enough, you’re nowhere to be found on the bed.
Jaehyun sits up immediately, looking around the room in search of you before realising that you’re probably in the kitchen judging by the mouthwatering smell of tomato sauce. He scrambles to get up, and starts shuffling towards the kitchen to see you.
“Baby?” Jaehyun’s voice is groggy from the nap, and you turn towards the sound from your spot by the stove to see him trudging into the kitchen.
You smile. “How was your nap?”
“Not good. You weren’t there when I woke up,” Jaehyun whines, immediately latching onto your arm.
“Someone has to prepare dinner, honey, and we both know it’s not you,” you giggle, booping his nose.
Jaehyun whines a bit more before sniffing. “It smells good.”
You purse your lips in thought, a mischievous idea surfacing in the forefront of your mind.
“Really? I smell something burning, actually,” you try your best to sound genuinely concerned, and Jaehyun falls for it immediately.
“You do?” he straightens in alarm, looking down at the wok in front of the both of you. “It smells and looks fine to me.”
You grin, turning to him. “That’s because it’s not the pasta that’s burning, honey.”
“Then wha—”
“It’s my heart that’s burning for you!” you mask the embarrassment with a quick peck to your boyfriend’s lips. Pulling away, you find him frozen in his spot, cheeks reddening by the second.
He touches his lips with a lovesick expression and visibly deflates, throwing himself into your arms. “Baby, you can’t do that!”
Your chest vibrates with your laughter, and Jaehyun smiles subconsciously, nuzzling further into your neck as you wrap your arms around him. “Do what? Use pick-up lines? You’ve been using them on me all week.”
Your puppy-like boyfriend reluctantly tears himself from your embrace to look at you, eyes widening. “You knew?”
“Of course I knew, honey,” you pat his head affectionately, “They were horrible.”
Jaehyun huffs, burying his face in your neck once again. “I kept on using those pick-up lines because you wouldn’t react!”
You chuckle, rubbing your hands up and down his back soothingly. “Well, how do you want me to react, honey? I’m already yours. You don’t have to use cringy pick-up lines to win me over.”
Jaehyun plants a kiss on your neck, then whines. “Stop flirting with me. I’ll fall in love with you.”
“Oh?” you play along, squeezing him tighter around you.
“I’ll flirt with you every day, then.”

Argument | Jung Jaehyun (NCT) - Angst
prompt : You loved your boyfriend and he loved you too but there was one thing about him that you hated. The way he bottled up his feelings. He never told you when he was pissed or hurt which always resulted in you two having fights over the smallest things when it was too much for him.
Word count : 800-ish
Genre : Angst (⚠ lots of swear words)
pairing : Jaehyun x Reader
You were sitting on the kitchen counter, looking at your phone when he entered. The sight of you, not doing anything while dirty dishes were pilled up in the sink made him lose his mind.
“Are you serious right now??” He asked, glaring at you
“What?” You replied, barely looking at him which was something that really pissed him off
“Did I or did I not ask you to do the dishes? For fuck’s sake Y/N! Did you really sit down here the entire time I was gone?”
“Okay calm down dad…”You scoffed, rolling your eyes
“Don't you dare rolling your fucking eyes like that"
“Stop it.”
“Are you being stupid on purpose or are you actually dumb?” He bluntly asked
That was it. He was starting being mean to you and that was something you really couldn’t stand.
“You’re being offensive right now. So, either you tell me what your problem is or-“
“You wanna know? YOU are my fucking problem!” He shouted, staring at you right in the eyes before instantly putting his hand over his mouth.
It was the first time he said something like that.
He was livid but not as livid as you.
You silently got down of the counter and went in the living room.
“Look… I’m sorry.” He said, realizing what he had just done.
You didn’t even hear what he was saying. You walked slowly towards the couch and sat down.
Jaehyun followed you, trying to apologize to you.
“I didn’t mean it! You know it.” He tried to take your hand but you moved it
“Don’t touch me…” you said, with a barely audible voice.
“Please…”
“Don’t fucking touch me Jaehyun. You can be mad but seriously? I am your problem? Well then fuck you.”
Hearing you say that made him feel like this was an unfair situation
“I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to make me the bad guy. All of this wouldn’t have happened if, for once, you listened to me and washed the damn dishes!”
“Are you really going to continue with that??”
“Are you really going to continue on being a bitch??” He replied, using the same tone
“I really can’t with you sometimes Jaehyun.”
That was the thing that made him snap.
“OH really? Well maybe you should just FUCKING LEAVE! BECAUSE YOU’RE JUST A FUCKING BURDEN TO ME.”
“Oh I am what now? A burden? Give me a fucking break, do you think you are perfect??”
“I’m not but at least I’m not a LAZY FUCK!”
You were so mad that tears started to fill up your eyes.
“Oh and stop fucking crying for fuck’s sake that’s fucking pathetic!”
“CAN’T YOU STOP?” You exploded, before collapsing on the ground, crying out of rage and sadness.
Seeing you cry was what made him realize what was happening. He was so shocked, he didn’t really know how to react so he just took his jacket and left.
Jaehyun was pissed off, of course, but he also needed to cool down. At first, he thought you were crying because he raised his voice, which he thought was kinda pathetic but when he understood you were genuinely crying, he didn't know what to do so he ran away.
It was the first time you and him were arguing like this. Usually, when one of you was frustrated, he’d tell the other and you two would settle everything by talking it out. But this time, things got out of hand.
You were alone in the living, crying your heart out.
You were not one who cried easily and especially because of a fight but this time he really hurt you. He actually had never talked to you like that and even if a part of knew he didn’t mean it, the other part couldn’t stop thinking “what if?”
When you finally calmed down, you checked your phone. Jaehyun had called you 3 times and left a voicemail.
You grabbed some tissues listened to the message while cleaning the makeup that had left big black streaks on your cheeks.
“Y/N can you please answer…I’m sorry we have to talk it out. I’m sorry I ran away I-I just needed fresh air…I’ll be back soon.”
As he promised, he came back a few minutes later.
“Y/N I love you” He simply said, as soon as he entered.
“I love you and I didn’t mean what I said, I was just frustrated. It doesn’t make it okay to say such awful things…I know, but I didn’t want to hurt you, I love you and I don’t ever want to fight like that again...i just lost it and i feel like shit right now-”
You saw tears starting to feel up his eyes.
“it's okay...I’m sorry too…I should’ve done the dishes…”
“Let’s go do them together…”
He smiled at you and you ran into his arms.
“Let’s not fight like that anymore…I love you”
“I love you too Y/N”
i hope you'll like this little OS i found in my drafts !
Have a good day/evening ♥
Stay healthy and don't forget to drink water !

Note
my opinion on how 127 would act towards Ming
NOTE: I haven’t watched NCT content in HOT minute but this is from what I can remember, so please don’t take any offense if something comes out inaccurate. Ncity has not been the same for me in a minute 😭
Taeyong: hmm cautious (?) I feel like he would be protective over both of them but very loving towards the idea of them dating. Participate in the teasing just not so much as the others
Taeil: I don’t know how to define him 😭 he’s so cute but i feel like he’ll be so awkward but he’ll be teasing mark just for the fun of it. I never really see people talking about how him in NCT love interests fics when it comes to OC’s— I don’t know why bc everyone loves Taeil 💗
Yuta: he’s captain of mark and Ming— a little bit of jealousy (he loves mark😫) but he’s really supportive and if anything he seems like he’ll question Ming only to know that he’ll love her in the end. Maybe more than mark ? Hmmm
Johnny: oh older brother teasing the younger brother — most definitely. Johnny won’t let mark slide with anything. I suggest watching a video on these two because they are a literal definition of a brother relationship 😂 Johnny would tell Ming anything Mark has said or done that’s embarrassing whether it relates to her or not
Doyoung: He is also so mysterious but another version of Taeyong. He’ll make the members stop teasing because he doesn’t know if she likes it or not. I feel like he wouldn’t know what to do because it’s not him involved in the relationship, ya know? Most definitely he’s supportive of them.
Jaehyun: Chan 2.0– yeah he’s snitching to the 97 line gc right now. Jaehyun just seems like he’ll laugh a lot but as well tease here and there.
Jungwoo: we saw how he teases Jun despite not meeting him 😭 so he would most definitely be teasing them but he wouldn’t do it unless he knows she comfortable with it.
Haechan: the annoying younger brother ( take this with a grain of salt and as a joke. I love Haechan and we see how he teases mark 😭) another mini version of Johnny. I don’t know but Haechan sulks a bit ( he may not do this anymore. I haven’t watched NCT content in a minute so bare with me) I can definitely see him somehow separating Mark and Ming just for the fun of it ( similar to how Joshua did them before except he’s not serious as Joshua) Yeah Haechan would be snitching for some unknown reason 😂
I APPRECIATE THIS SO MUCH 💗💗💗 the fact that you took the time to write this … ugh I love you 💋💋
I lowkey feel like taeyoung and doyoung are the nct version of cheol and Jeonghan?? pls tell me if I’m wrong, but everytime I see a vid of those two, they’re like a married couple 😭😭 except they are actually supportive of markming 😅
doyoung is friends with hoshi and boo, so I think they could have reached out to doyoung and ask him to make her feel comfortable and stuff… idk seungkwan would def send something to jungwoo or doyoung.
haechan and johnny are 100% teasing the fuck out of him!! I’ve seen the fart jokes
bro I love taeil so much, he comes across as such an angel 😭😭
jaehyun be live texting the 97’ groupchat on every little thing that’s being said🙄🙄🙄 little snitch
yuta and jungwoo would focus on just making sure that she’s comfy and doing alright, cause they realize it might be a lot for her. they also know she’s on hiatus, so they would go easy on her with the teasing
give me more ideas people, I’m loving this WAY TOO MUCH

Forever Yours
A Xiao Jun fic that’s part of our Halloween Series!
Tumblr media
Summary: you’re a fallen angel that can’t find her way back to Heaven, and Xiao Jun, the one person that can help you, just can’t seem to remember things. This, however, doesn’t stop him from falling in love with you more and more each day.
Pairing: Angel!Reader X Café Owner!Xiao Jun (was an angel as well)
Genre: fluff, romance, angst
Warnings: brief mention of violence, Lucifer!Jaehyun, death mention, physical illness mention, religious themes (its not deep at ALL, just mentions of God and angels tbh, please do not take offense, this is just my personal perception).
Word Count: 6.1k
(A/N: thank you all again for taking the time to read and reblog our fics!! We appreciate all the support and are having a blast with these creations! I hope you like this one and come back tomorrow for the next one! Also, I am tired and did not proofread! Sorry🥺)
——————-
You fell through the sky hard and fast with one image in your mind.
The face of Jaehyun, God’s most beautiful angel. He had turned on you, on all of you.
“Jaehyun?! Why have you betrayed us?!” You cried as he fought you at the edge of Heaven. His eyes displayed a deep shade of red that you hadn’t seen before.
You were one of God’s most faithful warriors and so was he, yet he had turned on God and the rest of you, starting war with his own dark angels at his side.
“Because they killed her, y/n! I loved her!” He said as he grabbed your arm and swung you over the edge.
He held your arm as you dangled from the edge.
With tears in your eyes. “Jaehyun..please, stop this, think of the rest of us, we are suffering.”
Jaehyun cried as well, the two of you had grown together like siblings. You never expected this day to come. The day when you watch your family be torn to pieces and thrown from the kingdom.
Jaehyun still held your arm in a tight grip as he debated whether or not he should let you go.
“Please..Jaehyun. I love you, we all love you. God will forgive you.”
Jaehyun’s look of uncertainty turns to one of anger, he burns you with fire from his hands. “I do not seek forgiveness..Goodbye, y/n.”
He releases you and watches you fall through the sky, before turning back to continue the fight.
Your wings could not save you as you fell too fast, like a meteor. You couldn’t see anything but his face, you couldn’t feel anything but sadness as your heart broke.
You threw your arms about for something to grab, but you only grasped the thin structures of clouds as your world transitioned from that of Heaven and then to Earth.
You couldn’t call on God or any of the other angels. All you could do was fly down through the sky and hope for a safe landing.
You should’ve died by now, the fire created by your pummeling body should have decimated you, but you weren’t shunned out by God. You were being protected by them, for being relieved by them was the only way for you to perish completely.
And then it happened. You finally collided into Earth.
But you felt no pain as the blanket provided by God offered a soft cushion to your backside.
You sighed and relaxed into the ground. You retracted your wings and turned over to your side, holding your face as you cried yourself to sleep.
————
You squint your eyes as you feel slobber coat your face.
“Hello??” You slowly open them, only to see the long tongue of..a dog.
“Uhh..hi.” You hear a male voice say.
He was so stunned by your beauty, he didn’t tell his dog to stop kissing you. You laid there barefoot in a long white silk dress . Your skin glowed brightly as a strange aura rested around you. Gold specs decorated your skin as well, making it sparkle in the sunlight. Then he saw an imprint of a hand on your wrist.
You suddenly sat up straight, quickly wiped your face. “What is this?” A look of disgust crosses your face.
“Oh! Oh, um Bella! Stop that!” The male says to the dog and pats her behind.
You open your eyes finally. The sun is bright, not as bright as it was in Heaven but still too much for you sleepy eyes.
Then you see him and gasp.
“Xiao Jun?!” You blink rapidly.
“Wait..how do you know my name?”
You stumble to your feet. “You’re here! And your brows are still bushy as ever” you laughed out, but he stood there with a look of confusion on his face.
“I’m sorry I think you have mistaken me with someone else.”
“It’s not a coincidence that I would land here. God let me fall to you!” You were beyond happy to see him, someone that knew of the world you came from and this world as well.
“Listen, I have no clue what you’re talking about, but come with me, I’ll get you help.”
He turns to leave.
“Xiao Jun, it’s me! Y/n! We grew up together! We trained together, and then you..”
He turned back to you and gave you a frightening glare.
“Listen, somehow you’ve ended up in me and my roommates backyard..which is now..ruined like it’s been destroyed by a fire. I don’t know why you decided to set fire to our backyard then proceed to lay in it’s ashes, but I’m calling the cops.”
“What?” Your face fell. You turned to look behind you and saw that the yard had in fact been ruined by your landing.
But even more surprising was the fact that Xiao Jun didn’t remember you or have his angelic identity as he did when you knew him long ago.
And then, it all came back to you, the rumor of what happened to Angel Xiao Jun.
Xiao Jun was an angel like you, he was assigned to protect a human lady on Earth, but he couldn’t keep himself from falling in love with her. He fled Heaven just to be with her, leaving you and the other angels in shock.
God was anything but happy with Xiao Jun’s decision and decided to curse him by erasing his memory. Xiao Jun landed on Earth with his wings, but God took them away along with the vision God blessed all angels with. It was rumored that Xiao Jun essentially became a normal human. He didn’t remember his human love, his life as an angel, nor how to get back to heaven.
But if he couldn’t find his way back to Heaven, that meant you wouldn’t be able to either.
If there was a way to get him to remember , he might be able to lead you back since he landed with his own free will.
“Hello? What are you staring at?” He waved a wand in your face to break you out of your daze.
“Xiao Jun..you have to remember.”
“That’s it..let’s go.” He shakes his head and takes you by the hand to lead you out of his yard.
“Hey! You can’t do this..I’m an—“
You hesitated, you were sworn to keep your identity as an angel hidden when dealing with humans.
“A criminal that I’m going to press charges against? Yeah, I already knew that.”
“Xiao Jun! Please, let me explain..”
He still dragged you to what you believed was his car as you whined.
“I don’t want to hear it, you pyromaniac.”
His dog, Bella, followed behind the two of you, barking her head off as you were being dragged by him.
You can feel yourself start to lose energy, your health is failing because you are on Earth. God had ensured that all angels stayed angels by cursing them with multiple ways to breathe. Of course, you had the regular way of breathing through longs like the average human, then you had the premium way of breathing through your wings.
Your wings would start to lose their feathers and you would die a little more with each loss.
You had to get back, you had to make him remember if you wanted to live.
“Xiao Jun!” You put your feet down, and made yourself as heavy as stone.
He nearly fell backwards as he stopped and turned to you. “What the-“
“You leave me no choice..go to sleep.”
Xiao Jun scoffed. “This lady..listen, I’m not gonna—“ his eyes close suddenly as he starts to fall to the floor.
You quickly dipped down and held him in your arms.
Bella wouldn’t stop barking at the sight of her owner helpless and in the arms of some strange woman.
“Bella..I’m sorry, but you must go to sleep too.” You snapped your finger and watched as she whimpered quietly then laid down on her side.
“Good dog.”
You turned back to Xiao Jun. He was gorgeous, even in his human form. He was still beautiful with high cheekbones and the nicest eyes you had ever seen, they were deep and commanding. He was one of God’s greatest warriors as well, but then love took over.
You laid him down on the floor gently.
“Xiao Jun..please..think of your journey to Earth..how did you get here? At what point on Earth can I access the gate? Please remember..” you whispered quietly.
“He came out of his mom, so no, I don’t think you can access the gate.” Another male voice spoke.
You stood up quickly and turned to him. A tall gentleman stood at the front door and raised his bat.
“What the hell are you doing to him and our dog?”
You shook your head. “I don’t want to do this to you too..please just go.”
“I’m not going anywhere, the police are on their way.”
Your eyes widened. You didn’t have much time, you had to get him to remember.
You dropped back to your knees and raised your hands over his head while closing your eyes.
The other man’s eyes grew as he watched strange blue and white lights apart from your fingertips as they hovered over his head.
“Hey! Hey stop that right now!”
“Lucas! Go to sleep!”
You called out.
“Wait, how do you know my-“ the tall figure fell to the floor in a loud clunk.
You tried to see Xiao Jun’s memories, but you got nothing, they only went back so far. You couldn’t find his childhood memories, you couldn’t find the moment he woke up here, nothing was clear other than the fact that God was making this incredibly difficult for you.
But you had to prove yourself worthy of your return anyway, you wouldn’t stop.
You released all three from their sleep spells right after fleeing the scene before police arrived.
Xiao Jun and Lucas were both confused when they woke up. And when asked about the woman by police, they said they didn’t know what happened or where you went.
The police got upset and left.
That night, you tried to influence Xiao Jun’s dreams by inputting your own memories of Heaven. You laid under his bed and made sure to make yourself invisible to his dog. You raised your hands and started to manipulate his dreams as he snored.
Beautiful, majestic images flooded his brain as he dreamt. He saw what you had seen. All of the angels roaming about, speaking and laughing with each other as you enjoyed your time together. You started to cry as you saw the wonderful images of your family. You wondered what had happened to them and if they were okay, you hoped that the demons led by Jaehyun didn’t win.
———
[The Next Day]
Xiao Jun arose and went to work. He owned a café not too far from his home.
But as he drove he couldn't stop thinking about you. How beautiful and dangerous you were. He wondered where you had gone and what you had done to make him go to sleep.
And his dreams, why were they so vivid and pretty? What was this place he dreamt of because surely he had never been to it?
He shook his thoughts off and turned his car off.
His day went on as it usually did. He served up cupcakes and biscuits with a smile.
You watched from a cloud above as he smiled at his visitors. He truly enjoyed his job and you liked that, you liked that he was attentive to everyone’s needs. Even those of the old citizens that just wanted a little more sugar in their coffee or a napkin.
You winced in pain, holding your wrist as Jaehyun’s burn mark remained bright on your skin. It was ingrained into it, like you had been stamped with a hot iron.
That wasn't the only source of your pain. You were growing weaker and to even fly to this low cloud was a chore. Your wings weren’t as efficient, you found yourself using up too much of your power to raise your body onto the cloud.
Around lunchtime when he had a break, you came back down and entered. You floated through a department store before, grabbing a large brown coat and a hat to wear over your dress. You also slipped on a pair of loafers and begged for God’s forgiveness as you manipulated the camera footage as well as the vision of the cashiers to steal without detection.
You sat down at the table he sat at while he sipped a coffee from a mug and scrolled on his phone.
He furrowed his brows and looked up at you.
“I’m taking a break, ma’am.” He said annoyingly.
“Do you remember anything?” You raise your head slowly.
Xiao Jun puts his mug down and stands up.
“What..what are you doing here? Why are you stalking me?”
You take your hat off, revealing your sad expression and wide eyes.
“I will not put you to sleep again if you just talk to me, Xiao Jun.”
He shakes his head. “I’m calling the police.”
“No!” You stand up and the place shakes violently. Cups clink against each other and sway back and forth, threatening to fall from the high counter tops.
He looks around in terror. “Okay, fine, what do you want from me?!”
“I need you to remember.”
“Well, I don’t, okay? I don’t know where I can from, I was adopted. I was thrown away like a piece of crap by my mother and raised by someone else. That’s all I remember! Now, get out!”
He pointed to the door, causing the café visitors to gasp. They never saw the owner get like this.
He was telling the truth, he was confused and didn’t know what you were talking about and why you were pressuring him to remember things he tried to forget.
You nodded and accepted defeat.
So you got up and left, but you still didn’t give up.
———
[A Few Days Later]
You tried to adopt human life until you could get back.
You felt sick on most days, but tried your best to power through your pain.
You slept on the clouds and showered in waterfalls. You continued to steal clothes and shoes. Luckily, you didn’t need to eat. Instead, you’d walk around and secretly help those that needed it. For instance, you guided an old couple crossing the street, or you’d sneak some candy to a child that cried because they’d drop their lollipop.
You also did your best to heal anyone with minor health issues like the flu that you passed by. With your vision, you could see weak hearts or pulses, and to those people, you’d touch them briefly to provide a helpful spark.
Watching Earth from above and being on it were two completely different things. It wasn’t pretty and not many people were nice. There’s so much heartache and pain. It reminded you of why it is so important for you to get back and help the other angels. They must’ve been suffering right now as the humans were because of the war between good and evil.
You visited Xiao Jun once again.
He sighed as he walked over to the table you sat at while reading a book.
And once again, you looked unbelievably beautiful. Your hair shined brightly in the sun and the aura around you never left. He somewhat believed you were otherworldly.
He raised his eyebrows. “You know, if you weren’t a weird stalker, I’d probably ask you out..”
He sat down across from you.
You smiled then put your book down.
“Who was your first love?”
Xiao Jun cackled.
You thought maybe if he remembered WHO he fled heaven for, there’d be a chance he’d remember everything.
“Uh..that’s a weird question, but once again, what can I expect from you..hmm..how about I ask the questions today..”
He tilts his head and points to himself.
You cough into your hands, when you look down into your palm, you see black blood. Your health was quickly deteriorating, you were giving too much of your power up by helping others while being away from heaven for so long.
You quickly grabbed your napkin and wiped it before he could see.
“Go ahead.” You nod.
He smiled and you felt your chest weaken. Why were you, an angel, feeling such childish things?
“Who are you? Where are you from?”
“My name is y/n..I’m from H—Hawaii.”
“What do you do for a living miss y/n?” He looks on you sternly.
“I save people..Um like a..like a nurse!” You grinned
“Okay, so you’ll be able to pay for the damages to my yard right?”
Your smile fell.
Xiao Jun still smiled widely. “That’s what I thought.” He got up and walked back to the kitchen.
“Xiao Jun, we might as well be friends, I mean, I don’t have anyone..”
He stopped in his tracks and turned to you slowly, he glanced down at your wrist.
“What do you mean you don’t have anyone?”
Quickly. You had to come up with a story, quickly.
“I-I came here to start over, I need help.”
He stepped closer to you. “Y/n..did someone hurt you?”
His eyes were sincere, you hoped once again that God would forgive you for lying.
You nodded slowly.
Xiao Jun sighed. He thought it was strange that you just popped up in his yard, but then he thought maybe you were fleeing from someone, maybe you really did need help. And he was just too kind. In an instant, he felt the urge to protect you. He didn’t know why he was like that, even though it had proven time and time again to only hurt him in the end. He was loyal and kind to the wrong people, people that took advantage of him.
“Luckily for you, Lucas is moving out this weekend so..I have an empty room in the house.”
Your eyes grew large. He swore he could see specks of silver in them, you were an anomaly in front of his eyes. There was something so indescribable yet familiar about you.
“Does that mean-?!”
“Yes...yes, strange woman, you can stay with me.. But only until you find a place of your own! I’ll give you three months to get it together.” He turned from you and headed to the back again, leaving you a jumping ball of excitement in the center of his cafe.
“Yes! Yes! Yes! I can work for you here too if you’d like!”
“No!” He quickly shouted out from the kitchen.
You laughed and smiled to yourself.
You were happy to get closer to him, but you knew that you didn’t have three months. You’d be dead by then.
You had to get him to remember his one true love.
———
[1 Month Later]
You turned to look at yourself in the mirror of your bathroom, you released your wings. They weren’t as bright and full as they should’ve been, every day you lost feathers and every day Xiao Jun would curse as he found them on his floor.
“Where do they keep coming from?!” He said from the living room.
You stepped down the stairs in a large t shirt and shorts. “I’m sorry, I think I must’ve broken a pillow or something.”
Xiao Jun threw his head back and flailed his arms.
“How in the WORLD do you break a pillow?!”
You laughed as he made a big deal out of everything like he usually did. But you missed the last step on the stairs. You fell forward and was about to save yourself, but Xiao Jun quickly grabbed your arms and held you on him to stabilize you.
Time moved in slow motion as you gazed at each other. You had never been this close before and Xiao Jun smelled your hair. You smelled like peppermint. But your skin, it felt incredibly smooth and cool, like the finest silk in the world.
“Oh..thank you.”
You stood up straight and waited for him to remove his arms, but he didn’t. His fox-like eyes stared at your lips.
You stared at his as well and swallowed hard.. oh, how you wanted to feel his lips on yours.
But you needed to cough, you quickly brushed his hands off and ran to the downstairs bathroom.
You coughed loudly, uncontrollably.
Black blood splattered across the sink.
“Are you okay?!” He yelled as he ran after you.
You looked up at the mirror and saw a black stream escaping out of your nostril.
You quickly washed your face. He swung the door open right after.
“Are you alright? That doesn’t sound good, we should go to the doctor.”
‘We.’
Xiao Jun was so caring, he still retained some of his angelic qualities.
You pat your face dry and look away from him. “I’m fine, it’s just a..cough.”
He still looked worried. “How do you feel? Is there anything you want?”
I don’t know, I want so much, but more than anything right now, I want to kiss you.
That is what you wanted to say, but you couldn’t.
“Xiao Jun..I promise, I’m fine.” You left the restroom sadly.
He stood there in the doorway and looked at the sink, noting how a singular drop of strange black liquid rested on the counter.
———
[1 Week Later]
You sat and watched movies on the couch while waiting for Xiao Jun to come back home from work.
When he got home, he plopped down on the couch and sat beside you. “Whatcha watching?”
He got comfortable as you pulled your legs up to your chest to make space for him.
He pat his thighs. “Put them here.”
“Ehhh it’s called Nightmare on Elm Street, it’s pretty boring though.”
You stretched your leg back out and placed your feet on him.
“Pretty boring? This is one of the greatest horror films of all time!”
“And what’s so great about it?” You turned to him with a smirk, waiting for him to make a dramatic argument.
When you finished watching him speak softly as he explained it to you, you fell asleep.
He watched you in your peaceful state. You still looked perfect and precious, your long lashes darting across your cheeks and your lips perfectly pursed.
He smiled to himself.
You coughed a few times, but still slept.
He always noticed your persistent cough, but whenever he asked you about it, you brushed him off and changed the subject.
———
As days went by, you did your best to help Xiao Jun remember her, but he couldn’t. You tapped into his memories once again, but couldn’t gain a clear picture of who he was. He was the only one that knew deep down.
Your hope started to fade as your health did. Why didn’t any of the angels come down to retrieve you? Why did you feel alone?
Bella came up to you as you sat at a desk in your room and thought about what to do.
She rested her head on your thigh and looked up at you with big brown eyes.
You put your hand on her head and out of curiosity, you got into her mind and saw her memories as well.
You closed your eyes and saw images of her dog food, Lucas petting her or throwing a toy to her, and then her memories with Xiao Jun.
He was laughing and smiling as he let her. He walked with her on the beach, or through the neighborhood, he’d cuddle her. He looked so happy. Then you saw a memory that troubled your heart.
It was of Xiao Jun sitting on the bathroom floor and holding his head in his hands, he was sobbing. Something had hurt him deeply and Bella was the only one to see it.
You wondered what it was that made him like that.
When you let go of Bella’s head, you got up and looked for Xiao Jun.
“Hmmm..where is he?”
Bella led you outside.
Xiao Jun laid on the grass, snacking on an apple as he hummed a tune to himself and watched the stars above.
You laid down beside him.
A moment of silence rested between the two of you.
“Xiao Jun..what is it that makes you hurt?”
He chuckles. “A ruined backyard.”
Your face grew into a smile. You turned over on your side. “No, seriously. Tell me.”
He looked down at you and blushed. He couldn’t help himself. Everything you did was cute to him, from the way your eyes grew when you got excited to the way you pouted when he didn’t answer your nagging questions.
He swallowed hard and thought of your question.
His face grew more serious. “I don’t remember much..my memory..it’s so bad..”
You knew exactly why.
“But I remember the feeling of disparity, heartache, and just pure pain. It feels like I’ve lost something, but I don’t know what it is. Some days..the pain is so unbearable, all I can do is cry.” He looks back up to the sky.
“Thank you for being honest with me, Xiao Jun. you know, living with you isn't that bad.”
He turns over to look at you as you watch the night sky. The stars dazzle in your eyes.
“Well, it sounds like you’re getting too comfortable. What can I do to make it bad enough for you to leave?” He laughs.
You laugh as well and shake your head. “I don’t know, you can start off with not looking as good as you always do.”
“You think I look good?” He put his chin in his hand and raised his brows.
“Of course, you look wonderful..” you felt your face become warm.
He leaned over you as you laughed. You stared at his lips and waited for the moment. You knew it was coming and you wanted it more than ever. He kissed you.
You felt something new in your body. A spark of energy ran through you as he caressed your lips with his.
You closed your eyes and kissed him back softly before raising yourself up on your elbows to get closer to him.
He holds your face in his hand and rubs his thumb over your cheek.
He turned his head as he deepened the kiss and enjoyed every moment. Your smell, your taste, your warmth. It was refreshing and made him feel like he was vacationing on the beach somewhere. You felt unreal, his mind went blank as he felt a strong breeze against his face. He saw sunshine and clouds, he felt silk on his thumb and joy in his veins.
And when he pulled away to breathe, he placed his forehead on yours. Both of you still close your eyes and breathe heavily.
Everything feels good and fuzzy, you feel love towards him and don’t want to stop.
Then you feel it again. You quickly turn to your side to avoid coughing up black stuff on him.
“I’m sorry.” You croak out. Your happy feeling fades as reality sets in. You’re dying. You can’t do this to him, you can’t fall in love and leave.
So you stand up and lick your lips. “I’m sorry Xiao Jun, but we can’t.”
He opens his mouth to protest but you turn away and walk into the house quickly.
———
[Two Weeks Later]
You take another look at your wings. There are almost no more feathers left. You break down in tears in the bathroom.
Your time with Xiao Jun had been wonderful, even since that night. He taught you how to roller skate, you went to the dog park on the weekends and you even got to try alcohol for the very first time with him.
There were many stolen glances and moments of admiration, but there was nothing official and you didn’t allow for another kiss even though he wanted it so badly.
Then one day, Xiao Jun is frozen in his tracks. She’s there, the woman of dreams. He feels a pull to her that is undeniable.
You walk into the cafe just as Xiao Jun begins to speak to her. You notice that change in his facial expression, the way that he is just so happy to be looking at this woman, and it clicks, for something changes in the air.
“That’s her..” you say to yourself quietly.
You feel jealousy, and it’s not good. How can an angel have any sense of that in their heart? Maybe you weren’t worthy of being an angel anymore.
Maybe you had lost your way. You should be excited, this meant that he could possibly remember everything.
Xiao Jun doesn’t notice you so you walk out of the café and head home.
You flew through the sky, dipping into it as you struggled to hold yourself up. Why were you crying? He was happy, as he should be.
Once Xiao Jun gets home, he has the biggest smile on his face. “I met the loveliest woman today!” He yells out to you.
“I know..I saw her.”
“She’s beautiful! She gave me her number and told me she’ll be back tomorrow!”
“That’s great to hear..because..”
“Because what?” Xiao Jun sits next to you at the table.
“I have something to tell you, Xiao Jun.”
“Go ahead.”
“I am..an angel. That day when you found me..I had fallen, or well, been thrown from Heaven. I lost my way, I needed you to take me back.”
Xiao Jun can’t hold back his laughter. “Ahhh you’re funny.”
“I’m serious...the girl that you met today..she’s the one you were assigned to protect when you were an angel too.”
“Stop it, you sound crazy.”
“You were an angel,  Xiao Jun, that’s why you can’t remember anything. You left heaven for her and God cursed you by removing your memory of everything, including her.”
He stands up from the couch. “How dare you insult me for my memory loss by creating such ridiculous stories.”
“I wish it was just a story, but it’s not.”
He starts to walk away. “This is bullshit!”
You release your things wings, causing a swooshing sound to enter the house.
He turns and looks back at you. His eyes widen when he sees your nearly empty wings, bones expand from your body as feathers dangle loosely and in sparse areas.
“This is the only way for me to prove that I am telling you the truth..”
“I-what are you.?” He says with fear in his eyes.
“Xiao Jun, if you can remember how you got here, you can help me get back. Or I’ll die..please.” You step forward and hold your hand out.
“This is crazy!” He backs away, running out as you stand there with tears in your eyes.
———
[1 Month Later]
You lay alone and gasp for air, taking your final breaths.
Things never worked out with Xiao Jun, you terrified him with the truth and ran away shortly after. You no longer lived with him, you slept in an abandoned cabin and went back to showering in waterfalls.
You hoped that he would remember everything now that she sparked love in his heart, but you were wrong and now you were left to die a fallen angel, cold and alone.
“God..please forgive me for failing you..I call on you..in my most desperate time of need, oh God.”
Your eyes close and everything fades.
Xiao Jun was now dating his first love and one night, he dreamt of everything, with some strange and possibly Godly intervention, he saw his past. He remembered everything.
He woke up and knew he had to find you, for he knew of the gate and where it was.
He searched in his backyard for you and found nothing. He looked all over town, nothing.
Then, one day, something drew him to a particular point in town.  He furrowed his brows as he drove and looked everywhere for you.
“Ahhhh..Xiao Jun, long time no see.”
Xiao Jun nearly drove off the road when a voice spoke out from his back seat. He hadn’t noticed that someone was there. He looked into the rear view mirror.
“What the?!..who are you?!”
“Come on, Xiao Jun, I know you remember me now. Who do you think gave you your memories back?”
“Winwin?” He quickly turned to him.
Winwin nodded.
“Yeah..it took you long enough.”
“Where is she?”
“Oh, I know where she is, but God has kept me from telling you where she is..” Winwin looks out the window.
Xiao Jun scoffs. “That’s ridiculous! Tell me where she is so she can live!”
He starts to drive faster.
“It is not God’s will for you to hear it from me.” Winwin says smoothly and shrugs his shoulders.
“Okay, first of all, why are you here then? And also, tell God they can f-“
Xiao Jun is interrupted by a random lightning strike just a few feet from his car.
He grasps the steering wheel as the car spins and becomes unbalanced.
Winwin only chuckles. “Oh, God did not like your tone.”
Xiao Jun finally straightens up on the road and turns back to Winwin with a frustrated look.
“A little birdy tells me her time is almost up.” Winwin nods his head slightly to the right then disappears.
Xiao Jun glances to his right and sees an advertisement for the local bird sanctuary.
“A little birdy...that bastard.”
———
Xiao Jun finally finds you in the center of the sanctuary. Your wings are out and completely featherless.
“Y/n..” he shakes you gently.
Birds fly over his head as he tries to wake you up.
“Please...God..please save her.” Xiao Jun begins to cry. He wished he had believed you, he wished he could just see your smile one more time. “I am so sorry, y/n..please forgive me.” He cries harder and rocks your body back and forth in his arms.
“Oh, Xiao Jun, this is what happens when you leave the kingdom..God has given you two options.”
He is startled by the voice and looks around for the source of the cool, low voice.
And there he is. Winwin sits on a tree branch and watches him below.
“God said to tell you to choose between staying here and living with your lover but watch y/n die, or come back to the kingdom and bring y/n..you can never leave again.”
Xiao Jun scoffs, how could God be so cruel?
“Winwin, I messed up, please take her back with you.”
Winwin flies down the two of you and lifts your arm, but it’s as heavy as stone, you can’t be moved by him.
“As you can see..it is not God’s will for me to take her back.” Winwin steps back.
“What will you decide, Xiao Jun?”
———-
You peel your eyes open as someone delicately taps your forehead with a wet cloth. You expect to see the dull world you were just in, but instead you see beautiful skylines and specs of gold in the air. You hear the singing of angels, and smell peppermint mixed with rosemary.. You’re back home.
You sit up straight, you can feel that you’ve healed a little bit.
“What happened?”
“He brought you back, y/n.”
“Who did?” You furrow your brows.
“I forgot how beautiful it is here.” A voice from beside you speaks out. You didn’t notice there was a body beside you on the recovery bed. Then you saw Bella jumping around at the foot of the floating bed.
You look over to see Xiao Jun and without much more thought, you smile widely and pull him into a strong embrace.
“Xiao Jun?!”
You look at him with his full set of gold wings and wide smile.
“What happened?”
“I remembered everything, then God gave me two options.” He still smiled while he looked at your bright face.
Your smile fell as you searched his eyes.
“No..” you said quietly. You knew him being here meant that he couldn’t be with her, his first love.
So why did he choose to be with you?
Xiao Jun nodded.
“I liked her..don’t get me wrong..but I-“
He hesitated while he looked deep into your beautiful eyes.
“I love you.”
Your mouth rose again into the sweetest smile he had seen.
The two of you lived in the kingdom, protecting and healing others together. You’d watch more scary movies and roller skate on the clouds.
And when the sun set real low, you made magical love in the clouds.
Xiao Jun kissed your cheek as you cuddled and watched the sun rise for Earth below. His wings encapsulated around your body, keeping you warm.
“I’m forever yours.”
Come back tomorrow for the next spooky story...

Elementals | NCT collab
Tumblr media
❝ "Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. ❞
Tumblr media
Hello there!! Welcome to my first ever collab! I am hosting this collab to celebrate my 200 followers! I never thought I’d hit that number but it’s here and I’m so excited!! I hope you will find this theme interesting and I look forward to working with all you extremely talented writers!!
Tumblr media
𖤐 Details 𖤐
— ➸ Theme — Avatar (this collab is loosely based on the old animated show, “Avatar: The Last Airbender!”
— ➸ Now, by loosely, I mean none of the NCT members would be THE Avatar, so this takes place in the hundred years while no one knew who or where the avatar was. Meaning war was happening at the time.
— ➸ If you’re unfamiliar with the show, no big deal, the basics are: there’s a war going on. Fire nation thinks they’re all mighty and deserve everything while the other elements are having a hard time. Each element lives in a different region of the earth and if they encounter people they don’t like or Fire nation, they fight. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell~
— ➸ This doesn’t mean that you HAVE to include the war in your fic! As long as the idea of your element is present, it’s fair game!
— ➸ Elements — Earth, Air, Fire, Water
— ➸ For each element, you can choose up to 3 aspects to focus on. (Ex: if you chose air, perhaps you focus on Air Manipulation, Air Transformation, and Air Magic). That is up to you entirely.
— ➸ 1 member per writer.
— ➸ The elements have been divided into 5. Meaning 5 members can have one element. (I do realize there will be one remainder but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it because 23 isn’t divisible by 4.)
— ➸ Discord server required to keep up with everyone’s fics.
— ➸ Due date: August 2022
— ➸ Drop out date: June 2022
— ➸ no hard feelings if you have to drop out.
Tumblr media
𖤐 Rules 𖤐
— ➸ First come first serve. There are 22 spots available (as I will be taking one for myself). Please don’t argue if the spot you wanted has already been claimed.
— ➸ All writers are welcomed to join.
— ➸ All genres welcome! Fluff, smut, angst, horror, etc. genres not welcomed include: rape, pedophilia, non-con, dub-con, incest, and anything hateful or offensive.
— ➸ Absolutely no plagiarism!
— ➸ No harassment or bullying.
— ➸ Sexual content is allowed as long as writer is 18+. Absolutely no smut for Sungchan, Chenle, or Jisung. Suggestive is allowed.
— ➸ member x reader and member x oc are allowed. No member x member.
— ➸ Writer should be inclusive if writing a member x reader. Do not specify features.
— ➸ Minimum word count: 1k
— ➸ Reactions and timestamps are not allowed.

NCT 127’s First Time Saying I Love You
(a/n:  1. i wrote a good half of these drunk, so apologies for the excessive fluff 2. i didnt know i was whipped for mark until i wrote that okay im sorry 3. i nearly threw my laptop out the window trying to post this please love it)
Taeil
You were sitting across from each other at the small dinner table in your apartment’s kitchen - the only one you could afford for the time being. There was barely enough space for two plates and glasses, but neither of you seemed to mind the proximity, and Taeil kept staring at you, which distracted you anyway. “What is it?” You asked for the millionth time. “Nothing, nothing,” he replied calmly, going back to his food, but just pushing it around his plate. Not a minute passed before he did it again. You swallowed a bite of food, sighed, and calmly put your fork down. “Taeil, what?” You asked, sharper this time. He smiled to himself and took a second before looking at you. “Your eyes are a really nice color.” He said, failing to hide a mocking smile. You frowned. “Why are you laughing?” You were just confused at this point. “I don’t know how to do this, just-” he breathed, gathering himself. “I love you.” Now you blushed, looking down. “I love you too,” you mumbled.

Johnny
You came home from a long day of work, swearing to yourself you were going to quit. You needed to, your current job was starting to get to your head and affect your moods. You slammed the door on your way in, tossed your bag aside and launched yourself into the couch. You let out a long groan and a few seconds later, Johnny’s voice came from the hallway. “Long day?” he laughed, settling himself in the space next to you so you could lay your head in his lap. “God, you have no idea,” you sighed. You sat together quietly for a while, him playing with your hair until you were almost asleep in his lap. He let out a pensive hum. “What?” You murmured, eyes closed.   “I love you,” he said simply, like it was a fact he just read online.  “You just made my day,” you laughed softly.

Taeyong
You couldn’t remember what you had said, but he had smiled, his eyes bright, and you just knew. It was easy. He was so easy to fall in love with, easy to be around, your whole relationship was easy and fun. You were in a perfect space. He got excited about ducklings, and made little noises to himself when he cooked. He cooked. He liked big sweaters, and you liked borrowing them; they smelled like him. You liked to sleep in his bed, too, liked waking up surrounded with everything that was him and about him. It was a little while later and you couldn’t hold it in any longer, afraid your heart might just burst if you did.  “I love you,” you said it heavily, like it had been weighing on you and just the mere action of putting it out into the world would heal you of all your ailments.  “I love you too,” he smiled over the pot on the stove in front of him. You revelled in the domesticity of it, ready to pause this moment and never let it go.
Tumblr media
Yuta
You and Yuta had met through mutual friends, ones he played soccer with, and ones you were in various classes with. You were at a study group with them one evening, going over notes from the past week’s classes, trying to gather information for an upcoming midterm essay you were dreading. One of their phones rang. “Hey, Yuta, what’s up?” You didn’t want to eavesdrop on the conversation, but your ears perked up on their own. “Study group. Yeah, she’s here, you wanna talk to her?” Your friend now looked at you from across the desk. He handed you his phone, but mumbled a quick: “Keep it short.” “Hey,” you spoke into the phone after pulling your tongue at your friend. “Hey, I was just thinking about you.” You heard the smile in Yuta’s voice. You smiled in return. “Oh?” “Yeah, I was just thinking I love you. You know, if you’re, uh... into that.” You could hear him shuffling with something on his end, and he was not a nervous person, but you could tell he was trying hard to be casual. “I see,” you decided to toy with him. “Well, then.” “Well, what?” The shuffling stopped. You hummed loudly, like you were thinking something over. He sighed. “Fine, fine, I love you too,” you smiled down at your notes before your friend snatched his phone back from your hand. “That’s enough of that,” he spoke into the phone, but looked at you, addressing you both. You pouted at him but a smile quickly crept back on your face.
Tumblr media
Doyoung
This was to be the dinner during which you would introduce Doyoung to some friends of yours to test the waters, see how he would get along, see if they liked him. It was a work dinner, relatively casual, where some of your favorite coworkers were joking among themselves, and poking fun at other people around the table. You were in the younger ones, the newer hires, so you, Doyoung, and a handful of work friends sat at the farthest edge of the table. Doyoung was chatting away with a girl he didn’t seem to realize was in fact a close friend of yours. He looked away for a moment and she flashed you a thumbs up, and an impressed look. You smiled to yourself, happy to have the stamp of approval. “What’s so funny?” Doyoung focused all his attention on you now. You laughed to yourself quietly before meeting his eyes. “I love you,” you cocked your head. He blushed, but grabbed your hand under the table. “I love you too,” he kissed the side of your head, going back to his conversation. There was no helping your lovestruck smile, and a friend of yours across the table made fun of you for it, but you couldn’t be bothered to care.
Tumblr media
Jaehyun
You were getting ready for bed, brushing your teeth, washing your face, doing all the final things of the day, when Jaehyun leaned into the bathroom’s door frame. He was just watching you, and when you eventually looked back at him, he looked down. You went back to what you were doing, and he walked up behind you, moving your hair out of the way to kiss your neck. “What’s up?” You giggled. “I love you,” he mumbled against your neck before looking at you through the mirror again. Eyes wide, you turned to face him. He looked down at you, not saying anything. “Well, I love you too, then.” You laughed, pulling him into a kiss.
Tumblr media
Winwin
It was late, you knew it, but you and Winwin were huddled together under a big cozy blanket on the couch watching episode after episode of your current favorite show. You had noticed him dozing off time and again, waking himself up with a start each time. You didn’t want to disrupt him, but there was an important scene involving his favorite character, so you lightly shook him awake, his head coming up from your chest and his eyes opening slowly. He looked somehow like both a puppy and an angel and you couldn’t believe you got to see him in moments like these. At that point, you had forgotten why you had woken him up in the first place, and the television was just background noise. “I love you,” you breathed, and your heartbeat sped up almost instantly. He smiled a small, happy smile. “I love you too,” he whispered, laying his head back on your chest, eyes closed.
Tumblr media
Jungwoo
You were taking a walk around the neighbourhood. It was a perfect day, the sun shining but just enough of a chill to entice you to wear your favorite sweater. He was commenting on the surroundings, making silly jokes and getting giggles out of you. In the midst of his narration of your environment - the houses and cars and the little lives of the little people in all of them, their fun names and jobs and hobbies - he cut himself off. “I love you,” he said hurriedly before going back to his antics. “What?” You laughed. “What?” He looked at you innocently. “Oh, what, the “I love you”? Yeah.” He shrugged. “Is that a big surprise?” “No, I guess not,” you acquiesced, “I love you too, though.” You elbowed him playfully.  “Well, good, I hope so! You’d better!” He exclaimed, then smiled to himself.
Tumblr media
Mark
You had found that loving Mark came in stages. First, you picked up little habits he had - none too specific, but you took notice and would smile to yourself. Then, you would go out of your way to make him laugh, because the sun shone in his eyes when he did. It went on like this until you finally admitted to yourself that you were in love with him, this cute dorky guy with the weird ears and sweet smile. You never said anything, and you figured if you ever did, things would get awkward and eventually your friendship might phase out, which was worse than pretending you felt nothing at all. One night, though, the two of you were in the middle of playing video games when you made a joke that had him doubled over in laughter. “Fuck, I love you!” He exclaimed through his laughter before getting very serious very fast. “Oh, I- I mean the- the- I- uh...” he stammered on like this until he noticed the look on your face. “What?” He eventually asked, startled by his own words and your wide eyes.  “I wouldn’t be mad if you did,” you said quietly, in what was probably the most serious tone you’d ever used around him. “Love me, I mean.” He stared at you, giggled, and got this big, stupid grin on his face. You thanked all your lucky stars and every light in the universe for allowing him into existence, into your life, and allowing him to feel for you as you did for him.
Tumblr media
Haechan
You had gone to laser tag with friends, and you had made him swear he wouldn’t somehow cheat, or eliminate you in some snide way. Ultimately, you knew perfectly well that he was the sort of boy who played dirty or not at all, so when he snuck up behind you and you heard the loud sounds of your elimination, you were mildly annoyed, but not surprised. You turned to stare at him, mouth open in mock offense. “Haechan!” You cried. “It’s the game, don’t blame the player,” he held his hands up innocently. You fumed, sticking your tongue in your cheek to stop from snapping back. You moved to catch him and he ran away. “I love you?” he called back, his laughter echoing, while you sighed and returned to your team’s home base.

Virus (#9)
Summary: With a bad virus going around and a strict dad that doesn’t want you out and about, your father’s guard watches over you and you can’t help but become fond of him.
Pairings: Yuta x reader
Genre: SMUT with aftercare
Warnings: rape, virus, choking, death of a side character
Word Count: 13.5k
You looked through the glass as you continued to walk down the street. Those were about the prettiest high heels you'd ever laid eyes on. They were a deep red, velvet and the wedge of the heel had a little heart on the corner. You HAD to have them. You walked inside the store with your arms filled with your other shopping bags and approached the employee.
"Please tell me you have those red heels on the display window in a size 8," you nervously begged. The employee looked at you and noticed the other bags hanging on your arms.
"We actually do and it's our last pair."
You bought the heels and walked out happily. You made your way home and placed all of your shopping bags on the floor with an accomplished smile. You walked to the kitchen for a glass of water when your house phone began to ring. You sighed and rolled your eyes, knowing that the only person who calls your landline was your father.
"Yes, dad?" You answered the phone.
"I need you to come to the company right now. I'm sending a driver to come pick you up." And that was the end of the call. It was unusually hostile. He normally said how much he loved you and said goodbye before hanging up.
Five minutes after the call, the driver, your dad sent to get you, rang your doorbell. You opened the door and walked out. The driver, who you knew as Sonny, followed right behind you and opened the door to let you in. Once Sonny was inside, you spoke.
"Why does my dad want to see me?"
Sonny looked at you through his rear view mirror and shrugged. "I don't know. I was just ordered to get you and wasn't given a reason why."
Finally approaching your destination, you got out of the car once Sonny parked. Your dad's bodyguards followed you closely as you entered the building and approached the door that led to his office. Another one of his workers opened the door for you and you walked inside. The red walls were dimly lit by the lamps he had in the room. He was sitting at his desk, his arms crossed with attitude. An unfamiliar man dressed in all black stood nearby, making no eye contact with you.
"What happened? Why did you need me to come here?" You asked right off the bat.
He sighed before speaking. "How have you been?"
You furrowed your eyebrows, confused. "Uh, good."
"What's been keeping you busy?"
You hesitated to answer. It somewhat seemed like he was trying to trick you to say something with his questions. "My puzzle that you got me."
"Anything else?" He said as he put a toothpick in his mouth.
You shook your head in reply.
"Want to tell me what you were doing shopping at a time like this?" He threw down several photos of you walking in and out of different stores. They were all taken that day. You rolled your eyes, annoyed at how closely your dads men watch you.
"I just bought a few things. It's not like I came in contact with anything," you said and took a seat on one of the chairs in the room.
"Did you get tested today? How do you know you didn't come in contact with the virus and brought it here to my company?"
You snorted. "I'm pretty sure if you thought I came in contact with the virus, you wouldn't have asked me to come over."
"Test her," your dad spoke to one of his men in the room. The man nodded and quickly got out a kit and took a large and long cotton swab out. This wasn't the first time you've been tested. You already knew how it happens.
The man got the swab and roughly shove it up your nose and twisted it around before pulling it out. He mixed a few chemicals together and put the swab in it. The chemical changed to a pink color, indicating that you tested negative.
"I told you," you said.
"Y/n, this virus is not funny," your dad said.
"I know it's not. I'm not laughing."
"Then why aren't you taking it more seriously? So many people have died globally because of the virus and you're out here shopping as if people can't carry it. Not only that, but you didn't even think to wear the mask I got you or the gloves. And thanks to you, I made sure every store you shopped at got closed down. They shouldn't even be open during this pandemic."
You crossed your arms and huffed. "You're so annoying. It's literally not that serious. If it was that serious, the country's government would call for a lockdown period. But they don't. You know why? Because it's not that bad. People are dying because some countries don't have the supplies to help people get better," you spoke. Ever since the virus started, everything your dad did was to avoid the virus. You never saw it so seriously and you didn't understand why your dad did.
"Okay, well since you don't find it as serious as I do, I'm going to send you off to the Flower."
You uncrossed your arms and sat up. "Don't make me go there."
Your dad shook his head. "I've already planned it. You're going to stay there until this virus has either been eradicated or it's controlled."
"Dad, you can't make me stay there. I will go insane," you said in a low voice.
"I can make you stay there and I will. Everything you own is being transported from your house to the Flower as we speak," he said getting up.
"And what if I leave?" You said, testing him.
"That's what Yuta is for," he said simply. You grimaced at the name as you stared at your dad.
"What the hell is a Yuta?"
Your dad pointed to the man in the room that failed to make eye contact with you. He was standing still as much as he possibly could with his hands behind his back. "Yuta is from Japan and he's a trained ninja. I thought it was really stereotypical but he was able to outfight all of my men. So I'm going to have him be your bodyguard, keeping you in and keeping other people out."
"You're joking. This man looks like a twig but he can outfight everyone in this building? You're lying," you said in disbelief. You were physically larger than the man. Not by height, but you outweighed him by at least 50 pounds.
"You'll see if I'm really lying when you try to leave the Flower. Anyways, here are the protocols as follows: Sonny will drop you and Yuta off. You are free to wear whatever I bought for you in the house or you can wear your clothes. You are not allowed to have any sexual relations with Yuta, and I also told him the same thing. He is my worker and you should respect him as such."
"Sexual relations? What kind of person do you take me for?" You shouted in offense.
"I've known you for 24 years and I've seen how you've tried to seduce my men to get your way. But you won't with Yuta. Anyways, as I was saying. Although we have a grocers one floor below, you will not be able to shop in it. I will send Jaehyun to do the shopping for you whenever you feel like you need groceries. Other than that, you have no other reason why you should leave the Flower. You no longer attend school and you are out of a job so you can busy yourself with the things at the house."
"This is not fair," you said rolling your eyes.
"Life's not fair, honey. Say that to the millions of people with the virus that wish they could breathe as easily as you can."
You sat in silence on the chair. You eyed Yuta up and down, wondering if he really can defend you if that needed to happen. Many people in the past have tried breaking in to the Flower to get the expensive items inside the building, and at one point, it took all of your dads men to fight off a heist that went down. Fortunately, they intervened but many of your dads men got hurt.
"Since I have nothing more to say to you, you and Yuta can now leave," your dad spoke. He sat back down on the chair and began to type away on his computer. You got up aggressively, trying to show your anger in your actions and slammed opened the door as you walked out. You walked towards the exit and Sonny was waiting there with the door open.
"Sorry to hear about what happened, Miss," Sonny spoke.
"It's fine," you said getting into the car. "It's not like it's your fault."
Sonny closed the door and a few minutes later, Yuta got in to the opposite side of the backseat. Sonny took off to the Flower and the ride was in silence. After an hour in the car, the skyscraper shaped as a large flower began to appear. You hadn't seen the building in about six years. When you turned 18, your dad bought you the building to live in. It was already stocked with several shopping stores and a market. You refused to live in the building guarded by your dads men so you rented out an apartment that was nice and simple. Although you loved shopping and expensive material things, you'd never found an interest in house luxury.
Once Sonny parked in the underground parking, you got out of the car before he could open the door for you. You approached the elevator and waited for it to open. You took a deep breath before walking inside and Yuta walked in right behind you. The ride up to the top floor took longer than you expected.
"How long have you been working for my dad?" You asked to break the silence.
Yuta stood there, staring at absolutely nothing, and ignored your question.
"Are you not allowed to talk to me?" You asked him, wondering if he even heard you the first time. Yet again, he ignored you. You sucked your teeth, annoyed by the man already. The elevator approached the penthouse and you took out your keycard and scanned it. The two of you walked in. Everything was still in place since the last time you saw it. Oddly enough, nothing was filled with dust. You assumed your dad had it cleaned beforehand. Many boxes of your things from your apartment filled the living room and you decided to just put those away later.
You left Yuta at the entrance and began to wander around. You looked through the ceiling to floor glass windows and saw the whole city. It was really a beautiful sight and not something you often saw.
The piano was still in the same spot. Your dad bought it thinking you were going to have time during school to play. Little did he know at the time that you weren't even going to live in the penthouse.
You walked up the spiral staircase and approached the hallway. The walls were now painted a light pink, different than the ugly green it once was. You opened the door to your room and the wide space surprised you. It wasn't the first time seeing your room but you forgot how big it actually was. The bed was twice the size of your full sized bed at your apartment and the bathroom was inside your room. Having a bathroom inside your bedroom was a different type of luxury.
You approached your closet and slid the doors open. A rainbow of colors flourished in the closet and you never actually took the chance to see the type of clothes your dad packed the closet with. Different name brands filled the closet, even brands you'd never even heard of before. All the clothes still had tags on them and you couldn't believe the prices of some of the items.
"Dad wasn't kidding when he said he'd spoil me if I stood here," you spoke to yourself. You continued looking through the clothes, looking for a nice shirt to wear. You took out an indigo colored wooled sweater. It was super cute and soft. You took off the shirt you were wearing and put the sweater on, feeling like a soft blanket was hugging you.
You opened the bottom drawers, looking for pants. There were about ten drawers and five of them were filled with jeans, all of them color coded. You specifically looked for a black pair and replaced your shorts with the jeans. You pulled out another drawer that had rows of shoes and put on a pair that looked like a normal pair of shoes.
You walked back downstairs wearing your new clothes and you walked into the kitchen. You opened the fridge to see that it was completely empty, as was your stomach.
"Is it okay if we order fast food and have them deliver it?" You asked Yuta. He was standing guard by the elevator door, once again staring at nothing. He didn't answer you, nor did he even make a movement.
"I can't believe I'm stuck in a large house with no one to talk to," you said annoyed. You reached for the house phone and looked at the phone book that the building provided. You pressed the number on the phone and waited patiently.
"Hello, Flower Grocers," the voice spoke.
"Hi, can I speak with Jaehyun?" You asked.
"Speaking," the voice said.
"Hi, Jaehyun. This is Y/n," you said.
"Oh my god! How are you? Why are you calling with the Flower's phone?" He asked.
"My dad is making me stay here because of the virus," you huffed."
"Oh I see. Yeah it's getting pretty bad out there. But how can I help you?" He asked.
"I don't know if my dad told you but he said I can't go grocery shopping in the building and that you have to do it for me. Do you think you'd be able to get me a few things and bring them up?"
"Of course I can. You know I'm always willing to help you out. Tell me what you feel like eating and I'll get the ingredients and a recipe for you."
You told Jaehyun you felt like eating cheeseburgers and the call ended. Your stomach growled loud at the thought of eating and you looked at Yuta.
"What are you going to eat?" You asked him. No reply.
"Are you allowed to eat?" You asked. Still, no reply.
"Are you going to sleep or is someone going to be switching shifts with you?" You asked. Silence.
"What if you have to use the restroom? Did my dad not plan any of this? As much as you'd like to not think about it, you're as much of a human as I am and you won't be working your best if you don't eat and sleep."
He continued to ignore you. You shrugged your shoulders. "Fine. Ignore me then. Let's see if you ignore me when you're tired and hungry."
The elevator softly chimed, indicating someone was approaching the top floor. You had a feeling it was Jaehyun and approached the elevator doors to allow him inside and to help him bring the groceries inside. As you stood by the doors waiting, Yuta aggressively pushed you behind him when the elevator dinged.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" You yelled at him. You tried to go around him but he kept getting in your way, stepping side to side to keep you from going around him. You used all your might and pushed him to the side, making him slightly stumble. You scanned your key card and allowed the elevator doors to open.
"I'm sorry to tell you but this is not a robbery, you dumbass. Jaehyun is delivering my groceries," you shouted at Yuta as Jaehyun stood there inside the elevator. His eyes were somewhat wide and he didn't step out of the elevator.
"I'm sorry. He's supposed to be my guard but my dad failed to tell me he's a complete moron," you said as you helped bring the groceries in. Jaehyun followed right behind you and placed the groceries on the counter.
"Wow, this place is huge. I've never been in here," he said.
"Really? Well you're more than welcome to come and visit me whenever you want. I literally have no one to talk to."
Jaehyun turned around and eyed Yuta who was back in his position. Jaehyun looked at you and raised his eyebrows.
"He doesn't speak," you said out loud. "He's like mute or something."
"Well, that's not nice," Jaehyun said, helping you take out the food from the bags.
"Well, neither is he. So I guess we're even," you said.
The two of you continued to talk and you invited Jaehyun to stay for dinner. He helped you make dinner, prepping the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and the condiments for the cheeseburgers. You cooked the burgers and toasted the buns.
Jaehyun approached you from behind to see how the burgers were coming along. "You're only making two?" He whispered.
You nodded your head. "He ignored me when I asked him what he was going to eat. So I don't really care."
Jaehyun frowned. "You're being a little mean. Why don't you just make him one and leave it out over night for him. Maybe he doesn't want to eat while you're awake."
You took his words into consideration. Yuta was on the job and apparently he took his job seriously. You had to commend him for that. He was here protecting you but then again, he was also babysitting you. You sighed and rolled your eyes, knowing Jaehyun was probably right. You decided to make an extra cheeseburger. You put all the ingredients together and placed it in the microwave for later. You got your burger and Jaehyun's and brought the plates to the table where Jaehyun was seated already.
"Mmm," he said sniffing. "It smells so good. I haven't had a cheeseburger in a while."
You laughed at his comment. "Jaehyun, we live smack in the middle of a large and busy city filled with vendors that make burgers everyday. Where have you been?"
"Working at the market," he said frowning. "I never have extra time to go out. I'm currently using my lunchtime to hang out with you because I didn't eat lunch earlier. I work as much as I can to get as much money as I can. It's hard living paycheck to paycheck, you know?"
You sympathized with Jaehyun. Unfortunately, you couldn't relate. You never financially struggled because your dad was always there to back you up whenever you needed the help.
"I'm sorry. I had no idea how much you struggled. Working for my dad, I assumed he paid all his employees well considering the amount of money he makes running his company."
Before you let Jaehyun reply, you got up and went to one of the boxes on the floor. Inside, you took out your wallet and pulled out the cash you had. You rolled it up, put your wallet back in the box and walked back to the table.
You sat down and reached for Jaehyun's hand. You placed the roll of cash in his hand. "It's around $1,000. This is for always being a good friend to me since we were little kids. And this is also for caring more about other people than yourself. You're a good person who deserves more than what he gets."
Jaehyun looked into his hand and widened his eyes at the cash. He began to shake his head, bringing his hand towards you. You pushed his hand back.
"You know who my dad is. I don't need the money. I want to help you and I'm willing to help you whenever you need it, okay? All you need to do is ask."
His eyes began to water and you could see how hard he was trying to hold in his tears. A large smiled formed on his face and he looked up at you. "Thank you so much for this."
You smiled back in reply and then looked down, knowing he must be uncomfortable crying in front of you. You picked up your burger and took a large bite out of it.
Jaehyun sniffled and then laughed. "I can't believe I'm crying when I have a burger right in front of me."
You smiled at his humor and the rest of the night, Jaehyun seemed happier.
Time ticked by and before you knew it, Jaehyun had to go home. He had to get up early the next day to open the market. You said goodbye to him as the elevator doors closed.
You cleaned up the table and did the dishes. There was not much else to do. It was getting late and it's not like you had anyone to talk to. It was barely 9 P.M. and you sighed.
You turned to Yuta who seemed to not have move a single hairbreadth since he went back in position. You stared at him and checked him out. He wasn't too bad looking. His hair curled around his neck and it was a light lavender color. Parts of his hair hung over his forehead just above his eyes. Speaking of his eyes, they were almond shaped but they were actually mesmerizing. His nose was long and curved at the tip, perfectly matching the rest of his face. And his lips, his lips were long and light pink. For a second, you thought you saw Yuta look at you and then look away. This made you want to approach him.
You walked slowly towards him. You stared at him, wondering if he was even breathing. You furrowed your eyebrows, confused by the man. He didn't speak, and you wondered why. You were finally face to face with him, allowing you to see his perfect and sculpted face up close. He was just as beautiful up close as he was far away. His hair looked so soft and you had the urge to touch it.
"Can I touch your hair?" You asked. He didn't respond and continued to look as if he was upset about something. He didn't answer, so you slowly reached up, expecting him to stop you. But when he didn't, your hand came in contact with his hair. And it was soft. You moved hair strands out of his face and pushed it softly back. Like always, he didn't move a single bit and you wondered what would make him crack.
"You know, I think I'd have a fat crush on you if you actually spoke to me," you admitted to him. It was like talking to a wall, so you weren't even remotely embarrassed to speak your mind.
"Would you tell my dad if I tried to make a move on you?" You asked him. You laughed when he didn't respond.
You took a step back away from him. "Don't worry. I won't. Or at least, I'll try not to. You know, a girl has needs and being stuck in this building with an attractive man that I can't have won't do me any good."
You walked away and into the kitchen. You opened the microwave and took out the burger you made for Yuta. You brought the plate over to him and placed it in front of his face.
"You know, I don't know what's wrong with you, but I made you a burger. I know you're going to get hungry. I'll leave it right here beside you just in case you want it, okay?"
You took out one of the kitchen chairs and place it beside him. You put his burger on top and made sure it wouldn't fall.
"Anyways, I'm going to bed. Do you want the lights on?" You asked. Yuta huffed like if you were getting on his last nerve.
"Hey! You made a sound! That's progress! I'll leave the light on for you. Goodnight and sweet dreams, Yuta."
A few weeks had passed and it was the same routine. Jaehyun would shop for you, he'd come up for lunch and then leave by evening. Yuta still hadn't said a word, although, he did eat the food that you would prepare for him. You weren't sure when he had the time to use the restroom or take care of himself because you had never seen him do it while you were awake.
One early morning, you woke up and Yuta was not in his position. You furrowed your brows and wondered where he went.
"Yuta?" You called out to him. The house was huge and you had no idea where he might be. Leaving the house also ran through your mind but Yuta seemed so uptight about following the rules, you doubted he left the building.
You continued to walk around the house, looking for Yuta. He wasn't in the basement where all the wine was located. He wasn't in the attic where all of your old memories were located. He wasn't in any of the bedrooms, living room, game room, kitchen. You had no idea where else to check.
You called out to him once more. "Yuta? Where did you go?"
You started to feel stupid, assuming that he probably did leave the house and you were there alone yelling out his name to no one. You heard footsteps from behind you and you quickly turned around. Yuta was walking out of the hallway that was across the living room, the one place you forgot to check. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and it was hanging unbelievably low. He was completely naked from head to toe and the only thing hiding his dignity was the towel. He approached you and your eyes widened more with every step he took towards you. The closer he got, the better you were able to see his defined abs, the water dripping down his body, his hair wet, and the great smell of men's body wash. He had a ball of clothes in his arms and as he approached you, he handed them to you. You looked up at him, confused and furrowed your eyebrows.
"What's this?" You asked him. He didn't reply and instead just stared at you. He watched your movements as you scanned through the wad of black clothes in your arms.
"Are these your clothes you were wearing before your shower?" You asked him. He closed his eyes momentarily and nodded.
"Do you want me to wash them?" You asked him, assuming that's why he gave them to you. Again, he nodded in response.
You smiled at him, happy that he wasn't just a stone standing by the elevator. You felt giddy inside knowing that he actually responded to you. It wasn't vocally but it was still a response nonetheless.
You put his clothes in the washer and then went up to your room and grabbed a shirt and a pair of sweats that looked like could fit him. You brought them down to where he was waiting in the living room. You approached him and as he turned to look at you, a small glimmer hit your eye. You looked down to what it was and it was a belly button piercing.
You gasped out loud and your mouth dropped open. "You have a belly button piercing?"
He didn't respond, only stared at you. You walked closer and bent over to see it clearly. He had a belly button piercing and a silver curved bar went through it. "Oh my god, you have a belly button piercing. That's so hot."
You kept staring at it and then you felt his eyes watching you. You looked up at him and he had no expression on his face. You didn't know what he was thinking. You stood up straight and took a step back. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I brought you some clothes that I think might fit you. You can wear these until your clothes are ready."
You handed him the clothes and he bowed before leaving. He walked back into the hallway that he came out from and your curiosity got the best of you. You didn't really know what was in that hallway. You knew there was one room down that way, but it was only a storage room. You followed the same path Yuta took and walked down the hallway. As you approached it, three doors appeared. Confusion crossed your face because you didn't remember there being three rooms in the hallway. You opened the one door that you were familiar with and like you thought, it was the storage room. You opened another door that was right across from it and it was an unfamiliar bathroom. You wondered where Yuta went. You thought he might have went back into the bathroom, where he showered, to put his clothes on. You approached the last door and opened it, slowly, and it looked like a bedroom. Your eyes instantly made eye contact with a naked Yuta and you gasped out loud and slammed the door. You walked out of the hallway and stood as far away from it as possible.
Heat rose to your face and you fanned yourself. Your skin began to prickle with sweat, completely embarrassed that you saw Yuta naked. It was a sight to see but the fact that you saw the one and only man in the house naked made you feel flustered.
Yuta walked out of the dark hallway wearing your clothes. They fit him quite good but that wasn't what was running through your mind. Yuta looked angry and he was approaching you quickly. You got scared and your feet quickly took you up the staircase. You could hear his footsteps right behind you and you ran to your room as fast as you could. You slammed the door and locked it. Yuta banged on the door a few times and then it went silent.
He had a right to be mad. Here he was, professionally working, and his bosses daughter sees him naked. You decided to stay in your room for the rest of the morning and afternoon.
You didn't have much to do in your room. The only thing your room was equipped with was a large bed, a bathroom and clothes. You wished you had a tv but the only tv in the house was in the living room, and you weren't about to walk back out there with an angry Yuta that can fight off all of your dads men. You decided to just lay in your bed and wait for the time to pass by. Before you knew it, your eyes began to flutter close and you fell asleep.
When you woke up, you noticed the sun was setting. You had no idea how long you slept because you didn't even know what time you fell asleep. You got up and out of bed and opened your door slowly. You looked down the hallway in both directions to see if the coast was clear to leave. You didn't see Yuta so you made your way out. You walked down the stairs on your tiptoes and scanned the living room as you came down. You didn't see him. You walked into the laundry room and noticed that his clothes were gone, so he must've put them in the dryer. He wasn't in the kitchen so you assumed he was in the bedroom down the hallway. You didn't want to watch tv because that would create noise and Yuta would know you were out of your room. You decided to take out a puzzle that you bought a few years ago but never actually started.
It was stored in one of the boxes that you had yet to unpack. You took it out and began to lay the pieces out individually on the floor by the piano. The floor to ceiling windows helped you use the natural light from outside to do your puzzle but it slowly began to fade into darkness. You're not sure how much time passed by but you managed to put 5,000 puzzle pieces right side up and find all the corners and piece them together. You were so busy with your puzzle that you didn't even recognize the footsteps approaching you from behind. Minding your own business, you continued with the puzzle.
"What are you doing?" A deep voice spoke into your ear and you screamed in terror. You quickly turned around while seated on the floor and Yuta was bent over you, trying to see over your shoulder what you were doing.
"Y-you spoke," you managed to say. Yuta squatted down to your level and made eye contact with you. He nodded in response.
"You can speak," you said in disbelief. So he wasn't mute after all. Images of what happened earlier flashed through your mind and you began to squirm. You knew you had to apologize to him.
"About earlier, I'm really sorry-"
Yuta put his hand out to stop you, but you continued talking.
"I promise, I didn't see anything," you lied. "Regardless though, I should respect your privacy. I just didn't know those rooms were in that hallway. When my dad bought me this place, I remember there only being a storage room."
Yuta nodded in response to confirm your thoughts.
You raised your eyebrows. "So there was? I knew I wasn't crazy!"
"Your dad had those rooms built in for me a few months ago when the virus barely started," Yuta spoke. His voice was deep but very smooth. You could listen to him speak forever.
"Is there a reason why you're barely talking to me now and didn't want to these past few weeks?" You asked him. He shook his head in response.
"Please talk to me more. I really like the sound of your voice. I might go insane if my voice is the only one I hear all the time."
"Maybe," he replied and took a seat next to you. He began to help you with your puzzle and said no more. You noticed he was still wearing the clothes you gave him. He looked comfortable and less of a robot than he did yesterday.
Not much of the puzzle was finished an hour later. You and Yuta managed to separate the pieces by color but after that, you got tired of sitting on the hard floor. You stood up and Yuta looked up at you in curiosity.
"Are you hungry?" You asked him. He nodded. You walked into the kitchen and checked out the fridge. Unfortunately, you only had a few veggies but there wasn't even enough to make a decent veggie meal for the two of you. You checked the time to see if you could still order groceries but they close at 8pm and it was already 8:45pm.
"Yuta, we have a problem," you said from the kitchen. You could hear him approaching you and you looked up from the fridge to him. "We don't have food to make."
You could see Yuta running through his thoughts and then finally looked back at you. "I can pick us up something to eat at a fast-food place but you have to promise me you'll stay here."
You smiled and nodded your head. "I promise I'll stay here."
Yuta walked down the hallway to his room and came back out with a sweater. He waved goodbye to you and left.
Being alone in the house, you let out a large sigh that relieved tension in your back. You didn't realize how tight your muscles were being around Yuta. Several weeks had passed by from the time you were forced to stay in the house and you wondered how long this quarantine was going to last. You hated it. You could've been out at a club right now, having drinks and dancing. But instead, you were at home with a man that feels uncomfortable to say more than 20 words to you.
You continued to think in silence and wonder what was it that made Yuta want to speak. Not only that, but Yuta left his job posting. After all those past weeks of staying right by the elevator door, and suddenly he left you at home alone to get food. It was really odd and you couldn't really find a reason why he's not acting the way he has been.
You sat down on the couch and laid your head back with a sigh. For a second, you wished you had a dildo to satisfy yourself and keep you busy when there was nothing else to do. Unfortunately, all of your toys were at your apartment and you doubted your dad's men packed those for you.
To see if your assumptions were right, you checked the boxes to see if they managed to pack your toys. Everything was thrown messily in the boxes so you began to search deep inside them. To your surprise, you actually found them below a couple of other things. You took out your favorite toy and turned it on, the vibration instantly making your core throb. You wondered if you should play with yourself until Yuta came back. You thought for a second, realizing that Yuta didn't have a car to take and he was probably walking to get the food.
You laid down on the couch and lowered your pajama pants and underwear. You flipped on the dildo and pressed it against your clit, making goosebumps appear on your skin and a shiver run throughout your whole body. It had literally been weeks since you last satisfied yourself and now that you're breaking your hiatus, it felt so good.
You continued to let the vibration massage your clit. You pulled up your shirt and bra and ran your hand up your body to one of your breasts. You tweaked your nipple and the pleasure from both the toy and your nipple began to run through your body. You moaned loud as you felt your climax approaching. You inserted the dildo inside your pussy and simultaneously, the toy vibrated on your clit. Multiple parts of your body were being stimulated and your body began to shake. You knew your orgasm was approaching and it was coming quickly. You tried to go fast all the while shaking, and then you heard someone clear their throat from behind you. Your climax completely dissolved as you froze in terror and turned the toy off. You didn't move from the couch, too scared to turn around. You quickly pulled your shirt down along with your bra and tried to bring your underwear and pants up while sitting down on the couch. The noise could only come from one person and you were already dead embarrassed.
You stood up from the couch, hid the toy behind your back, and turned around with your eyes closed. You were sure you were tomato red and you were too embarrassed to open your eyes to see Yuta's expression.
"Um, I brought us food. There was a food vendor right outside the building so I got us some burgers and fries," you heard Yuta say. "You can open your eyes."
You opened your eyes slowly and rubbed your face with your hand out of embarrassment. This was probably the worst day of your life, being forced to stay quarantined running second in place.
"I am so sorry," you finally spoke. "I thought you were going to be gone for at least twenty minutes."
Yuta put his hand up and nodded. "I get it. Come eat."
Passing by the boxes on the floor, you threw your toy inside quickly and approached the bags of food. Your stomach growled and Yuta handed you your food.
"I'll be right back," Yuta said and walked down the hallway and into his room. You brought your food and his to the dining table and waited for Yuta to come back. As you waited, you searched for the right words to say to apologize correctly. People say things are okay all the time, but they don't always mean it.
Ten minutes had passed and he still wasn't out of his room and you were starving. You decided to just eat and apologize to Yuta once he comes out. You managed to finish your whole meal and Yuta still wasn't out. You began to worry a little about him, wondering if he was okay. You threw your trash away and slowly approached his bedroom door. You knocked softly and spoke.
"Yuta? Are you okay? Your food is getting cold. I was waiting for you to start eating but you're taking too long so I already ate."
His bedroom door swung open and he was really red in the face and looked sweaty. You looked at him with surprise and worry.
"Yuta, why are you so red? Are you okay?" You put your palm to his head and he was really warm. "Are you getting sick? You feel feverish. Do you need medicine?"
Yuta shook his head in response and continued to walk out of his room. He sat down on the table and you sat with him to accompany him. As time ticked by slowly, the flush in his face slowly subsided and his skin went back to normal.
He finally finished his meal and he sat back in satisfaction. You checked the time and it was pretty late and you looked back up at Yuta.
"Can I ask you something?" You asked Yuta. He nodded.
"It involves a verbal response though," you mentioned. He nodded his head to signal you to go ahead.
"These past few weeks you had been so uptight about doing your job and not talking to me, why is today the day you decide to interact with me? Not only that, but you left your spot where you always stand and you're actually eating in front of me."
Yuta sat forward and intertwined his fingers. "Your father called me and he asked me how I was doing. He's a pretty caring man and I was really surprised when he asked if I was taking care of my own needs. I am a man of truth so I told him what I have been up to. Although the bedroom and restroom were built for me, I was not going to enjoy them if your father didn't first give me permission. He asked me how was our relationship turning out and I told him I hadn't spoken to you once. He was shocked at how many weeks passed by and we hadn't spoke but he encouraged me to talk to you. I had no problems with you, I just take my job seriously."
You nodded your head, impressed by everything he said. You were also mesmerized by his voice. He finally said more words than you can count on your fingers and honestly, you really didn't want to stop hearing his voice.
You took a deep breath, knowing what you wanted to say but not knowing how to say it. "Listen, about earlier. I know you said it was okay, but out of respect, I need to give you a better apology. This is embarrassing for me and I know it really caught you off guard. I should've been doing that in my room rather than the living room. I'm really sorry you saw what I was doing."
Yuta lightly laughed and you looked up to him. He was smiling and then he spoke. "It's really fine. I get it. We have needs to tend to and we are first and foremost, humans. It was actually kind of hot to know what you were doing."
Your eyes widened at his response and you felt the temperature in the house rise by a few degrees. You could feel your cheeks and ears getting hot and you quickly looked away to hide your fluster. Again, Yuta laughed at your silent response.
"It's getting late now and I think we should go to sleep. I haven't had a decent sleep in three months," Yuta said.
You nodded and quickly got up from your chair and threw your trash and Yuta's trash away.
"Okay well I'll see you tomorrow," you said to him. He nodded his head and watched as you turned around and walked up the stairs. Once you were in your room with the door closed, you let out a huge sigh of relief, not knowing how irregular you were breathing. You could sense a sexual tension rising between the two of you, but you could never make the first move. Although your confidence can drive you to say certain things, you didn't have enough confidence to take action.
You threw yourself on your bed and checked the time on your clock. It was already midnight and you were thankful for how late it was because although you took a nap earlier, you were tired.
The next morning, you decided to call downstairs to the grocers to buy more food for the house. Since Yuta was now eating, you knew you had to order more food and enough for at least a week. Just like routine, Jaehyun answered the phone and you told him the list of food you wanted.
"I'll be up in about an hour," he said before hanging up.
You decided to do a few chores around the house to keep yourself busy until Jaehyun came up or until Yuta woke up. Nothing was really messy but you cleaned whatever was visible. The kitchen was cleaned thoroughly, you mopped, dusted, did some laundry and tried to clean as much of the tall windows as you could. Eventually, the elevator dinged, indicating that Jaehyun was coming. You scanned your keycard to let him up but when the elevator doors opened, an unfamiliar man stood there with your groceries.
"Um, who are you?" You asked him. He was really good looking but his good looks didn't make you any less suspicious.
"I'm here to bring you your groceries," he stated.
"Where's Jaehyun?" You asked.
"He had something to do so I offered to take these up to you."
You nodded your head, giving him the okay to come inside. "Jaehyun usually puts the groceries away."
The man nodded as he was bringing the food in from the elevator.
"Let me know when you're done. I'll be upstairs putting away some laundry," you told him. He nodded in understanding and with that, you grabbed your laundry basket from the wash room and went upstairs to your bedroom.
You began separating your clothes. The ones that needed to be hung up, the ones that needed to be folded, your underwear, socks and miscellaneous particles were all separated into their own groups. You began putting them away and before you knew it, all of your clothes were stacked neatly inside your closet. As you were putting your clothes basket away in your storage closet, you heard your bedroom door open. You assumed it was the grocers man telling you he was finished.
You heard your bedroom door close and lock and out of confusion, you walked back out to see what was going on. The grocers man was standing at the door staring at you.
"Uh, can I help you with something?" An uneasy feeling washed over you body, as you watched the man stand in front of your now locked door.
"Actually," the man spoke. "You can."  He smiled at you but it wasn't a regular friendly smile. He took a step towards you and your instinct told you to take one step back. He continued to walk towards you and before you knew it, the back of your legs hit your bed.
"What are you doing? You do know I have a watchman in my house, right?" You told him.
He laughed and shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, but where is he now? He's asleep, isn't he? Yuta, the man that should be watching Felix Reyes' daughter, is dead asleep and he won't be able to hear anything."
The last part of the mans sentence made your heart race even more than it was before. You looked at your surroundings, searching for a clear path to leave your room and run downstairs, but he was blocking the only pathway to the door. He noticed what you were doing and laughed.
"You're not going anywhere until I feel like I'm done."
"Why are you doing this to me?" You asked him.
"Because your dad owes me money but for some reason, he thinks he's too high and mighty to pay me back. I told him I would get him where it hurts the most; can you guess what that is?" He slowly reached into his back pocket and took out a large silver object. He pressed a button and you realized that it was a switchblade.
"Wait," you said with your hands in front of you. "I have money. What if I give you the money?"
The man evilly smiled and laughed. He continued walking towards you and your feet brought you to try to run around him. You were mere inches away from your door before he grabbed you by the waist, threw you over his shoulder and carried you to your bed. He threw you down and instantly climbed on top of you. You began throwing your fists, trying to aim for his face but he kept moving. He got ahold of both of your wrists, pinned them above you, and put the knife to your neck.
"Keep moving and see if I don't slice your neck and leave you dead on your bed," the man threatened. Tears began to run down your face as the coldness from the blade stung your skin.
The man, sitting right on top of you, began to scan your body, and you wriggled in hopes that he would get off of you.
"Please, don't hurt me," you begged him.
"I won't sweetheart," he said, sliding the knife across your cheek. "What I plan on doing to you, oh I promise you'll enjoy it."
The mans breath fanned your face and although his breath did not smell, you felt like you were about to throw up. His body odor made your head spin and you became nauseous and numb at the same time. You shook your head, not wanting this to happen to you.
"You have a fucking hot body," he said. He dropped the knife onto your bed and used his hands to grope your body. His large hand roughly grabbed your breast and you cried out in pain. Quickly, he placed his hand over your mouth.
"Make anymore noise and I'll kill you and that man downstairs."
Silent tears continued to run down your face and you wished you could fast forward to when this was done. With your eyes closed, you tried to think of something happy; going back to a time where you were actually happy with your life. It was a time when your mom was alive, before she died from cancer.
Your mind numbed your body and silenced everything around you. Although you couldn't feel or hear what was going on, you knew what was really happening. You continued to lay underneath the large man, no fight left inside your body.
You began to feel like you couldn't breathe. It almost felt like the weight of the mans body was crushing you and you began gasping for air. However almost instantly, the weight was lifted and you opened your eyes. You were no longer seeing the man that was above you but instead saw the white ceiling in your bedroom. Slowly, your hearing came back and shortly followed was your sense of touch. You could hear grunting and loud thumps throughout your bedroom but you didn't have the strength to sit up and see what it was. You had no idea where that man was but you were thankful that he was no longer on you. You continued to look at your ceiling, the white paint making you feel at peace.
"Y/n," you heard someone say. It was very muffled and you were confused. You couldn't recognize the voice and you didn't have the strength to move your gaze to the sound. The only thing you managed to focus on was the ceiling.
"Y/n, are you okay? I need to take you to the hospital."
Whoever was talking to you lifted you up off of your bed and began carrying you out of your room. You didn't know what was going on and slowly, your vision turned black.
"I promised to take care of you and I couldn't even do that," you heard the voice say before your hearing subsided into darkness.
;;
The first thing to wake up was your hearing. You knew you were still asleep but you could hear what was going on around you. You could hear beeping, almost as if you were staying in the hospital. It didn't smell like the hospital though. It smelled like...home.
Normally, hospital beds are hard and uncomfortable, but whatever you were sleeping on was soft. However, you knew it wasn't your bed. You know your own smell and the smell of the blankets and pillows surrounding you, although was not your own, was still very comforting and you couldn't find the reason why.
Your brain was now waking up but your body was still asleep. You tried to tell the rest of your body to wake up but it just wasn't happening. You could smell food and you wanted to get up so badly, but your eyes wouldn't open. Your hands began to twitch, fighting to move. You decided it was pointless to fight with sleep so you stopped trying to force yourself awake and instead waited until your eyes opened when your brain wanted them to.
Before you knew it, you began to open your eyes. You slowly looked around and noticed you were in an unfamiliar yet familiar room. You couldn't pinpoint why the room looked familiar. You began to scan everything: looking at the blankets, pillow, wallpaper, the dresser, closet. It almost seemed as if you had seen the room before.
You slowly sat up and stood quiet to see if you could hear anything outside of the room. It was silent and you could no longer smell the food that you once smelled before. You got out of bed and recognized that you were in pajamas that you didn't know you owned. You approached the bedroom door and opened it.
You walked out of the room and finally realized where you were. You were sleeping in Yuta's room. But how did you get there?
Your feet walked you out of the hallway and into the living room. Jaehyun was sitting on the couch and you stood there confused. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out. You struggled with your voice and you were confused as to why you couldn't say anything. You tried to call out to him but once again, your voice failed you.
You continued to walk up to Jaehyun and finally he saw you from the side of his eye and looked up at you with shock on his face.
"Y/n," he said. "You're awake."
His words made you stop in your tracks and you drew your eyebrows in. Why would you not wake up?
He got up from the couch and approached you, tears beginning to form in his eyes. He slowly brought his hands up to your shoulders, as if to be cautious, and when he realized you were allowing him to touch you, he brought you in for a huge hug. His arms wrapped around you tightly and he began sobbing into your shoulder. You didn't know what was going on and you had so many questions.
Jaehyun pulled away from the hug and looked at you with teary eyes.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I feel fine," you managed to croak out. Your voice was completely hoarse and you grimaced at the sound of your own voice. Jaehyun smiled at your reaction and reached down to hold both of your hands.
"Why did I wake up in Yuta's room?" You asked.
Jaehyun's smile faded away quickly and he looked at you with sympathy. "Y/n, do you remember what happened? Do you know how long you were asleep for?"
His questions brought more confusion to you. You shook your head in reply. Jaehyun grabbed your hand and brought you to sit down with him on the couch. He began speaking with a soft voice and as he began to tell you what happened, memories of that day began to flood your brain. He said you had been asleep for weeks and the doctors didn't know why you fell into a coma.
"Yuta tried taking you to the hospital but because of the virus going around, they turned both of you down. However, a doctor came to see you and was so confused as to why you fell into a coma after what happened. His conclusion was that your body was trying to recover from a traumatic event."
Tears began falling down your face. You began to remember vividly what happened that day. The day that Jaehyun was supposed to bring your groceries.
"You were supposed to be here," you told him through a trembling voice. "You were supposed to bring my groceries. Not that man."
Jaehyun grabbed you by the shoulders and hugged you, trying to comfort you. "I know. I should've been there. I should've fought the guy off but he hit me over the head and gave me a concussion. I was knocked out for a few days and I regret every single day for not thinking he was more suspicious when he volunteered to bring your groceries up."
"Where's Yuta?" You asked him. Jaehyun looked behind him and you followed his gaze. There Yuta stood, right by the elevator door, just like he did the first few months he watched over you. You gasped and stood from the couch. You ran up to Yuta and embraced him. You cried right into his chest and continued to hug him. When he didn't return the embrace, you looked up at him. He had a stern look across his face and he didn't look down at you once.
"Yuta?" You called out to him. "Why aren't you looking at me?"
He ignored you and didn't speak. You pulled away from him and stood back. "Yuta? Why are you ignoring me? Talk to me, please,” you begged.
"He's back to the way he used to be, Y/n. He hated how off guard he was that day and he went back to not sleeping, eating and always guarding the door."
You shook your head and continued to cry. "Please, Yuta, don't be like this. Talk to me, please."
He didn't say a word and like Jaehyun said, he was back to the way he was before. You turned away from Yuta and turned towards Jaehyun.
"Where is that man?" You asked.
"Yuta killed him when he found the man on top of you," Jaehyun said.
Frustration was now taking over your emotions and you were upset that Yuta already killed the man. If he was still alive, you'd kill him yourself.
You felt frustrated that you had been raped. You felt frustrated that Yuta was back to the way he was before. You hated that he blamed himself for what happened. You hated that the man was dead already. You hated that you had slipped into a coma for unknown reasons. You hated that you had to stay in the Flower. You hated this virus going on. You hated everything at the moment and you were slowly being filled with anger at everything around you.
Jaehyun left and went back downstairs to the grocers and you were once again left in silence.
;;
A year had passed since the incident and Yuta was still not talking to you. Every few weeks or so, he would switch shifts with another guard that your dad hired so that Yuta could have his time to sleep, eat and take care of his other needs. He never ate the food you made for him, he never slept and he never left his post. It made you upset every time you tried to talk to him and he would ignore you. You were annoyed that he blamed himself for what happened when in all honesty, there was no way Yuta could have predicted what would happen even if he wasn't asleep that day.
You had tried whatever you could think of to sway Yuta. You tried putting delicious food in his face, you tried telling him jokes, tickling him, you tried every possible way to make him laugh. You tried to seduce him and that completely backfired when you got a call the next day from your dad about how he had warned you about seducing his men.
Another year had gone by and you had grown to ignore Yuta. He was acting like a statue in the house, almost like an ornament or decoration. Jaehyun was no longer working at the grocers downstairs and moved onto creating his own business. You lost the only friend you had in the building. The virus had gotten worse and there was no vaccine available. You were practically at home alone.
"Please talk to me. I feel like I'm going to go insane," you begged Yuta. It was your birthday and you hadn't spoke to a single human in a year. "Yuta, please. How much more do I need to beg you to talk to me. It's my birthday and I haven't spoken to anyone in months."
You walked up to him and stood close in front of him. You grabbed his face and smashed his cheeks together, the first skin-to-skin contact you've ever had with Yuta since he started watching over you. You pinched his cheeks and you could tell he was trying his best not to give in to your tactics. Suddenly, Yuta grabbed both of your wrists and held them up. He looked you in the eyes and you could tell he was annoyed with you. He threw your hands down in irritation and then looked away from your gaze.
"That's progress,” you simply said.
The next day, you did the same thing. This time, he didn't stop you. You ran your fingers through his hair. It was now a light brown with blond highlights and it looked better on him than his lavender hair.
"This hair looks really good on you," you told him. You continued to run your fingers through his hair and he didn't move a single bit.
You brought both of your hands to his cheeks and again smashed his cheeks. His pink lips puckered up and you laughed at the face that was formed from smashing his cheeks. You looked down to his lips and you had the sudden urge to place your own on his. You wanted to, so badly, but you didn't know how he'd react. You brought your face close to his, lips almost touching, and Yuta's eyes widened as he looked down at you. He didn't stop you, and when he didn't, you softly placed your lips on his. The kiss was very gentle, you were worried that if you got too carried away, he would push you away. But he didn't push you away and you continued to kiss him.
His lips, although at first were frozen, began to move along with yours. His eyes closed and finally began to mold with yours. The tender kiss created a new hunger within you. You pulled away from the kiss, your breath and Yuta's unsteady, and you took a step away from him.
"All I want is attention from you," you told him. "The security for this building has quadrupled. I don't see the reason why you need to work so hard."
He kept his eyes closed and sighed. He shook his head. "I can't bring myself to lose concentration."
You stood there, his voice almost making you cry, and took in every thing he said. You hadn't heard him speak in over two years and you felt like it was something to throw a celebration for.
"What happened to me in the past, is the past. I've received therapy for what happened and I promise, I'm okay now. And like I said, the security has quadrupled since that day. There is no reason for you to work like a dog. I'm not saying to stop being my guard, all I'm saying is to stop working so hard. Don't ignore me. Give me some type of attention. I will be happy with anything."
Yuta sighed and shook his head. He looked up at you and his face went hard, going back into his security position that he was in.
That night, you promised yourself you won't give up until Yuta is back to the way he was when he first started talking to you.
The next morning, you woke up, showered, put your favorite perfume on, your favorite lingerie and then put a pink silk robe on top of the red lingerie set that you were wearing. You did your hair in large curls and put some makeup on. Today was the day you were not going to quit until something good happened.
You walked downstairs and saw Yuta standing there. The black combat boots with the black cargo pants and black long sleeve shirt he was wearing made your core throb. He had been wearing the same thing every single day for the past two years but for some reason, it was hitting different that day. You approached him with a smile.
"Good morning, Yuta," you said to him up close, making sure he could smell your perfume. "You're looking a little tired. Let me massage you."
You got closer to him and began to massage his shoulders. His muscles were hard and your fingers weren't strong enough to give him a good massage. You continued though, for about ten minutes and then stopped.
"How did that feel?" You asked him. He ignored you.
"I did my hair and makeup today. How do I look?" You asked him. He took a quick glance at you and then went back to staring at nothing.
"I got ready just for you," you told him. You got close to him again and ran a finger from his head to his lips and ran the pad of your thumb over his bottom lip.
"These lips are seriously the best," you told him. "They've created a new desire within me when we kissed yesterday. Now, I don't think I can stop thinking about them."
You saw Yuta look at you but when you looked at him, he looked away. You stood on your tiptoes and brought your lips slowly to his. Not once did he look at you.
Your lips made contact with the corner of his lips and you gave him a gentle peck, your lipstick remaining on his skin.
"Oh! I almost forgot to show you. I'm wearing something new. Want to see?" You stood right in his line of vision, where he was constantly staring, and made sure he was looking at you. You untied your robe and let it fall off of your shoulders but held it around your waist. You could see Yuta began breathing quicker and that made you feel slightly accomplished.
You slowly let the robe fall off the rest of your body, showcasing the red lingerie to Yuta. His eyes widened and you smiled at his reaction. You slowly approached him and noticed his eyes were now following you.
"What do you think?" You asked him. He was looking at you, up and down, and he looked almost hungry for you. You turned around and showed him your ass and softly grinded your ass against him.
"Does the back look okay?" You could now hear his breathing and you giggled.
"Don't be afraid to touch," you told him. You grabbed both of his hands and placed them on your ass. On his own, he began squeezing your ass. He slapped it once really hard, and you jumped and yelped.
"Do you like what you see?" You looked at Yuta over your shoulder. He nodded and continued to massage your ass.
"Answer me out loud," you told him.
Yuta paused for a second and then aggressively brought your body up against his and wrapped his hand around your throat. You smiled and looked up at him from the side of your eye.
"Is this what you wanted?" He said in a deep voice. You nodded, your core instantly throbbing and jumping in excitement for what's to come.
With one hand on your throat, Yuta brought his other hand and slowly slid them inside your lingerie panties.
"This looks so goddamn hot on you," he whispered into your ear. Goosebumps rose all over your body as he got closer to your swollen bud.
He slowly slid a finger across your slit and took in a deep breath when he felt how wet you were from just his hand on your throat.
"Fuck, you're so wet. And from what?" You could hear the taunting in his voice and you had never heard anything sexier.
He brought his now wet finger to your clit, and slowly, he began tracing circles. Your legs instantly bucked and it threw off your balance. Seeing your reaction, he began to go harder. Your legs began to shake and you weren't even close to coming yet. You knew that you wouldn't be able to stand upright when the time did come.
"Yuta..." you called out to him out of breath. "I don't think I can stand. My legs are shaking too much."
He pulled his hands away from you quickly and before you could turn around to face him, he lifted you up bridal style. He walked the both of you into his room and placed you on his bed. He stood at the edge of his bed, staring at you with a hunger that you've never seen before.
"Tell me what you want," he demanded.
That caught you off guard. You had never told someone specifically what you wanted.
"Tell me, or else I won't do anything," he threatened.
You could feel yourself blushing and you internally groaned. This man just had his hand down your underwear yet you feel like it's an impossible mission to tell him what you want.
"I-I want you to make me feel good," you said simply. Yuta evilly grinned and then laughed.
He shook his head. "No, tell me specifically what you want. If you have the confidence to start this, you have the confidence to tell me what you want me to do to you."
He wasn't going to let you get away with not saying it. You closed your eyes, opened them, and looked at him before answering. "I want you to eat me out until I come and then I want you to fuck my brains out until I come again and can't move."
Yuta's eyes dilated that instant and it made him look almost scary. He climbed onto the bed and approached your legs. He laid on his stomach and brought his face close to your core. "Like this?"
You nodded and he placed a kiss on your clitoris through your panties. You could feel the pressure and it made you throw your head back. He continued to kiss you in between your legs and it created a desire that was slowly growing with each second.
"Please Yuta," you pleaded.
"Please what?" He asked. He knew exactly what.
You sucked your teeth in annoyance and removed your underwear yourself, since he wasn't going to do it. He smiled and laughed before going back in between your thighs.
He placed his lips around your clit, and sucked, causing you to buck into his face. He continued to suck and your legs were shaking while your body began to arch from the bed.
"Oh fuck, Yuta, that feels so good," you whispered. He placed a finger inside your pussy and you could hear how wet you were.
"Fuck," you heard Yuta say. He began fucking you with his large finger and continued to suck on your clit. His soft tongue glided against your core of nerves and you could feel your climax approaching fast.
"Yuta, fuck, I'm going to come," you squeaked. He sucked on your clit harder, his teeth gently touching, and you squeezed your eyes shut. Your body convulsed and your legs shook uncontrollably as you gripped Yuta's hair. He continued to play with your clit and you tried to pull away, but Yuta had a grip on your thighs to keep you near him.
"Fuck, that was so hot," he told you.
Yuta pulled away and sat up and waited for you to come to. You slowly sat up and looked at him. His hair was a mess and his lips glistened with your come. He looked sexually delicious and you got up on your knees as well and smashed your lips on his, tasting yourself from his mouth.
Yuta quickly removed his shirt and you began to unbuckle his belt. He removed his shoes and pants and he was there half naked. You could see his erection tenting his boxers and your little friend downstairs started acting up again.
Yuta got off the bed and gestured for you to do the same. "Get on your knees," he said.
You did as he said and he grabbed his belt from the bed. "Give me your wrists."
You gave him your wrists and he used the belt to tie them together. "I want you to suck my cock."
He dropped his boxers to his ankles and his cock flopped out so quick it almost hit you in the face. He looked down and stared at you, waiting for you to start off the blowjob.
You got closer and reached for him. He smacked your hands and you dropped them. "No hands," he said.
You got up higher on your knees and wrapped your lips around the head of his cock. You let your arms dangle below you and tried your best to suck him off.
“Fuck yes, you’re such a good girl,” Yuta groaned as he pulled all of your hair into his fist. You continued to bob on his cock, trying to go as deep as you can. Yuta saw you struggling and grabbed your face and began bucking into your mouth. His aggressive thrusts had you gagging and your eyes watering, so Yuta slowed down and then pulled his cock out of your mouth. He bent over and pressed his lips against yours, using his tongue to taste himself inside your mouth. He pulled away and stared at you.
“Such a beautiful girl, with her makeup running down her eyes,” he said caressing your bottom lip with his thumb.
“Get up,” he said. He helped you get up and he climbed onto the bed. “Ride me.”
Nervously, you awkwardly climbed onto the bed and brought one leg on one side of him and straddled him. Placing your tied up hands on his chest, he helped guide his hard cock towards the entrance of your pussy.
“Tease the head,” he commanded. You began swaying your hips back and forth and allowed the tip of his cock to get wet with the entrance of your pussy.
“Fuck, I know you’re going to feel good,” Yuta said under his breath. He stopped your hip movements with one hand and with the other, he lowered you down onto his cock. The fullness that began to fill you up made you clench around him.
“If you do that again, I might just come inside you,” he said. Your eyes rolled back once he was balls deep inside. You hadn’t had any sexual attention in a few years and this was definitely better than your toys.
“Fuck my cock,” Yuta said. You began bouncing your ass up and down his cock as your chest pressed against his. You made eye contact with him and held it there. Yuta began biting his lip and his eyes rolled back until his eyes shut.
“Fuck, your cock is so good Yuta,” you told him. He opened his eyes and grabbed onto your neck and began to roughly pound up into you. The slight oxygen loss and pleasure filling your body quickly built up your climax and before you knew it, you were shaking and clenching on Yuta’s cock. Cursing under his breath, he thrust harder into you, wanting to feel you clench all the way through. Without a warning and disconnecting, Yuta flipped you over so you were underneath him. His large hand continued to stay wrapped around your throat. He undid the belt that tied your wrists together and freed your hands. Your legs wanted to close on their own but with Yuta in between them, they couldn’t.
“Oh no, I’m not done with you yet. You’re going to come on my cock one more time,” he said. He wasn’t going soft and was aggressively pounding into you. Every thrust knocked air out of you and every time you tried to open your eyes, they ended up rolling back into your head. Your gripped onto his forearm, subtly wanting him to choke you harder.
“Choke me harder please,” you asked him. He smiled down at you and did just as you asked.
“I’m going to come again, oh my god,” you whispered to him. He quickly reached down in between both of your bodies and began rubbing your clit as his cock pounded your pussy and his hand cut some of your oxygen off. You instantly stopped breathing and your gripped onto the closest thing nearby. You arched your back and your legs began to shake immensely. The pleasure that was once little, grew stronger and spread throughout your whole body. Your eyes stood close and your climax hit you hard. Your body convulsed and your pussy clenched hard around Yuta’s cock. You were so immersed with your own climax that you didn’t even know that Yuta’s came as well.
“Fuck,” Yuta sputtered. The two of you came down from your highs and you finally opened your eyes. You looked up at Yuta who was staring at you with a small smile on his face. You smiled up at him and brought his lips down for a kiss. He pulled away and quickly got off of you and let you lay there to catch your breath. As he got off the bed, you noticed several scratches leading from his shoulders to his back.
“Oh my god, Yuta, did I do that to you?” He turned around and you pointed at his back. He turned and looked at his back in the mirror and his eyes widened. He checked out the long scratch marks on his back and then smiled widely.
“I love getting souvenirs,” he said to you. You blushed as he smiled at you and you couldn’t help but giggle.
He walked away into the bathroom and a few moments later, walk out with a rag. He gently helped clean you up, making sure to be considerate of your sensitive area. Once finished, he and you went underneath his covers. You turned to him and cuddled into his chest.
“Are you happy now?” He asked you. You nodded and looked up at him with a smile.
“Don’t ignore me anymore, please?” You pleaded. He kissed you on the head, his lips lingering for a few seconds.
“Okay. I promise, but when I have to be serious about my job, you have to let me. Okay?” You nodded in response and he gave you one more forehead kiss.
After laying down in his bed for a while, he took a deep breath that caused you to look at him. He looked down at you and smiled.
“Ready for round two?”

Pay Attention, Dumbass
Pairing: Demon!Jaehyun x OC
Genre: Smut/ Comedy?? Maybe?
Features: demonic fingering
Summary: two idiot roommates accidentally summon two ancient demons. Forced into a contract, they only had two choices; die or make a deal with the devil. The most logical answer was to make them their boyfriends of course (this is lowkey a bad slice of life hentai, i swear). The demons know nothing about the human world and have to deal with “lessons” from their human girlfriends.
A/N: This used to be on my Kofi which im closing down and just putting everything up on here. This isnt continuing.
Masterlist  Johnny Version Here

"You haven't moved in hours. Don't you do anything else?"
I dug into the chip bag that laid on my desk and grabbed a handful to shove into my mouth. "Of course i do," I said through the mush of chips. "I went to the bathroom."
Jae sighed. "Not what i meant. Do you ever leave your room?"
I shrugged and downed some of my soda. "Yeah. I go to work sometimes."
"Where do you even work at?"
"A bar." I went back to clicking through attacks and swerving around opponents. "Guys, come on, come on, come on!" I said into the headphone and mic set i had on. "Someone head towards the point! At least start trying to take it over!"
"A bar?" He asked, confused. "What is that?"
"Its uh..." I drifted off as i propelled myself forward and released my ultimate attack, sending my mecha exploding in different directions. I quickly reloaded myself into the machine and continued my rampage of gunshots. "Like uh... drinks. Liquor."
"Libations?"
I snorted at the stupid word. "Yeah, whatever. That."
"And that's the only time you leave?" He continued asking.
"What the fuck is this? Twenty questions?" I grabbed another handful of chips. "On the left! Move out the way!" I grumbled at my friends who were playing online with me.
"I'm just curious since you don't have the capability to rid yourself of the sin of sloth."
I glared over at him as he was reclined back on my bed, arms behind his head, and torso on full display as he refused to wear a shirt (not that i was complaining). "I do things! I just like playing video games more! Sometimes i go to school too!"
"And what proof do you have of this because i never see it."
"My never ending debt and crippling anxiety." One of my online friends asked who i was talking too and i sucked my teeth. "My boyfriend is being annoying." Queue the kissy noises and jokes of the very mature men i gamed with.
"Oh? Im annoying?" Jae grumbled. "Whats really annoying is seeing you rot away while im forced to stay by your side. Hours and hours of boredom and still im trapped in the confines of this ridiculous home with nothing to do."
I set my headset down as the round finished and turned my desk chair towards him. "Are you upset that im not paying attention to you?"
He sat up quickly and scoffed. "Please. What do i need the attention of a human for?"
"You certainly want it when you're horny." I giggled. "Heh...horny...you have horns also so it's...anyway. Are you being a baby because you want attention?"
"I am not an infant. You are infuriating. Of course i had to get stuck with you."
"Oohhh, thats how it is. Yep, definitely being a baby, now with a temper tantrum."
Jae's eyes glowered and his claws dug into my mattress. "There are so many things i want to do to you right now."
"Ooh daddy." I snorted and put my headset back on. "Sounds kinky."
"Which is it? Am i an infant or a father?! I dont understand!"
I sighed and stood up. "Do you want to try playing with me?" I gestured at the now vacant spot of my gaming chair.
Jae stared at me then the seat. "Play that ridiculous thing?"
"Yeah," i shrugged and looked down at my feet. "It's something i like to do and you're my boyfriend sooo...i guess...i mean..." I twiddled with my thumbs as my cheeks began to warm up. "It'd be cool if you tried to like some of the stuff i do."
"Is that what boyfriends do?"
"Y-yeah...sorta. Look do you want to or not?" I huffed in frustration.
He stood up and made his way over, glaring down at me with his humanized yet still terrifying eyes. "Fine. I will try it."
I couldn't help the dorky smile that beamed across my face. "Ok, cool. Sit down."
He placed himself in the seat and i sat on his lap then scooted the chair closer to the desk. I positioned his fingers on the designated keys for offense and defense as well as the computer mouse. "Here, why don't i just guide your fingers the first few rounds so you get the hang of it?"
"Whatever."
The smile started to fade as i covered his hands with mine that seemed to dwarf in comparison. "Put your stupid claws away. You cant game right with your pretty manicure."
He growled like an irritated dog and slid the claws back into his skin. With his back pressed to mine, he ended up resting his chin on my shoulder, watching as i joined a new round. His somewhat chubby cheek felt warm against mine and i willed myself not to kiss it. It wasn't like he was going to respond anyway. He was cold hearted in every sense of the word, even when he fucked it almost seemed like a chore. It still was amazing and i loved every second of it but the distant feelings was strong. Of course it wasn't a great idea to make a demon your damn boyfriend but there was rarely a time where i made a smart decision.
Deciding to suck it up and just concentrate i pressed Jae's fingers down as i helped launch attacks and maneuver us around the screen. "This is nothing but hectic destruction " he commented.
"Yep, pretty much."
"And you enjoy this?"
"Absolutely."
"I am pleased by this." I felt a slight nip at my neck as he purred into my ear. "Very pleased."
"Pleased that i like shooting people and destroying things?"
"Exactly. Its quite...sexy."
"Oh my god. You're a dork!" I snorted. "Its just a damn game, weirdo." I pressed his fingers down harder, not wanting to slow down and ruin my winning streak. "Keep up."
"Well when you're crushing my fingers its hard to do so."
"Just follow me. You dont even have to move them."
"I would like to move them but-"
"Shh, give me a sec. Bastards are on my fucking ass! God i hate when they just gang up on you for no FUCKING REASON!" I screamed at the monitor. "Such dicks. Fuckin' dicks."
"Your mouth is filthy."
"Yeah you said that when it was full of cum too."
"Hm...that was also enjoyable." Another nip to my neck, this time followed by small sucks and kisses. "Continue using your filthy mouth and destroying things. This at least is semi entertaining now."
"Glad you think so. Quit kissing my neck, its distracting."
"Distracting?! You enjoy that! You said it this morning. Specifically 'Jae'," He faked a slightly high pitched moan. "'Keep kissing my neck, oh god'."
I flushed with embarrassment and rammed my elbow into his chest. "I already have to deal with dicks online i dont need go deal with you too."
"I suppose you wouldn't want to deal with this then?"
I felt him press his hips against my ass. The grey sweatpants he had on left nothing to the imagination and i swallowed hard as my concentration wavered. "S-stop." I whimpered.
"I dont think i will." One hand left the mouse and pressed against my stomach to keep me in place. "Support that. I will control these buttons."
I pressed my lips together and simply nodded. How he had the grace to continue slight grinds against me i didn't know but i was responding to them eagerly. I arched my back and wiggled my ass every time he rolled forward, creating a sinful friction between us. My eyes drifted from the screen momentarily to see that his fingers were working perfectly over the keys as if he had played for years. "You're...actually winning."
"What? As if its hard?" He tsked. "Humans have simple minds and-WHY IS THIS MAN PUNCHING ME FROM THE SKY?"
I froze our sensual movements to cackle loudly. "That's just Doomfist. He's so OP and stupid."
"OP?"
"Overpowered, meaning there's no reason for him to even be here."
"Im going to destroy him completely until he can never return."
"They all respawn, Jae. That's how the game continues."
"Not if I can help it. I want that mongrel dead. Get that clicky thing ready. I'm aiming to destroy."
"You think I'm sexy when I want to kill things but I think you're cute, you know that?" I turned towards him to press a kiss to his cheek yet my lips connected with his when he moved.
"I am not cute....but you are...or whatever." I wondered if that tint on his cheeks was real or just my imagination.
I smiled to myself anyway, pleased with his compliment and his valiant effort to enjoy the same things I did. He was truly acting like a boyfriend-one that felt genuine even if he crawled up from hell. Just before, he was complaining about how never moved but we stayed like this for a couple more hours, even sharing snacks and competing with my online friends. There came a point in the night, though, when searching for a server with an open game slowed tremendously. Minutes ticked by and still nothing. Jae's drumming of his fingers against the wooden desk in impatience was starting to drive me crazy. "Doing that isn't going to make it go faster, you know."
"This is about as interesting as watching you play on that small screen."
"We've gone over this. Its a phone, a cell phone, a portable phone."
"Yes, yes. That stupid thing with all the colors. Its like this stupid thing." He pointed at the computer screen. "Only smaller."
"You seem to enjoy the big stupid thing judging by how many kill streaks you got."
His lips tweaked into a smirk. "That's because im an expert killer. None of them deserved to live."
"You did get my rank up and some loot boxes so i guess i should thank you."
"Yes, bask in my glory and show me how grateful you are." His hand that had remained around my waist for most of our play time started creeping its way to my thighs.
"Are you wanting me to show you how grateful i am or are you trying to show me how desperate you are?" I snickered.
"I am not desperate. Since the stupid game is not cooperating im just trying to inject some extra curricular activities."
"Such as?"
He set his head on my shoulder again and i felt his fangs dig in deeper into my neck, making me let out a drawn out whine. "J-jae!"
He chuckled from deep within his throat as i felt his tongue trail from the column of my neck up to my earlobe. "Such as...watching you squirm when i add the slightest of pressure," Two of his fingers slid between the junction of my thighs and pressed firmly against the center of my shorts. "Here."
The tips of his fingers began gliding against the fabric, the soft cotton adding the smallest amount of friction against my clit. My teeth sunk into my bottom lip as my leg began to bounce. I wanted to wait for a new game, my win streak was too precious to me but Jae was something else. Trying not to make it too obvious i adjusted myself on his lap, spreading my legs a little wider. His fingers garnered more room but he didnt move them under the fabric. Instead he kept torturing me with slow movements, occasionally pushing into the most sensitive areas. "Who's enjoying the attention now?" He teased.
Suddenly a little ping from my computer signaled that a game had finally been found. My attention quickly shifted and i put my headset back on and got into position. Jae reeled back in confusion. "Are you really going to continue to play?"
"Well...yeah. I mean it took forever to get into this game. I dont wanna lose it."
"Hey, can you be healer?" I heard my friend say into my ear piece.
"Fuck you! Im not going to be healer! You be healer, you twat waffle!"
Jae let out a heavy and annoyed sigh. I almost felt bad until i was lagging behind everyone else. I had to-
I felt his finger finally move beneath my shorts and press into my hole gently. I had to admit that he had already gotten me worked up enough to provide him with some lubrication and he slid in easily. "C-cut it out." I stammered.
"Oh no, dont mind me. Your game is more important. Keep going."
"I just mean-ah-ahh!" I tried to snap my mouth shut before my moan slipped out for fear of my friends hearing but it was too late. Jae had moved the seat of my shorts aside and pumped his finger faster, occasionally curling it an inch or two from my entrance. I covered the mic part of the headset and glared back at him. "If you dont s-stop-"
I snapped my thighs shut as he added another finger, the 'come here' motions growing stronger. Immediately, he landed a harsh tap to my outer thigh, a small growl floating in the tense air around us. "I said keep going."
"Well i would if you just-HEY! MOTHERFUCKER! I LIKED THESE SHORTS!" I looked down at the center of my shorts that had now been torn open because of his reappearing claws. "What's wrong with you?!"
Without a word he grabbed onto my ankles and set my legs up on the desk, keeping them spread. The clawed hand snaked its way to my throat and with the slightest pressure i could feel them digging in. It wasn't enough to hurt but certainly enough to make my entire body shudder with electricity. "I-i cant reach the keyboard." I whispered.
He scooted the chair closer to the desk, making my legs almost rest on it fully. "Wheres that tappy thing you have?"
"Tappy thing?"
"Where you move the sticks."
"You mean a controller?"
"You can plug it in right?" He questioned as his thrusting resumed which made my mind mush in a second.
"U-uh yeah-um its uh...d-draw-drawer!"
He let my throat go and allowed me to reach into my desk drawer and grab my gaming controller. I plugged it into my computer's usb port as my friends argued about me not pulling my weight and being static. I lied about my game lagging and shifted the mic up so i sounded muffled and they wouldn't be able to hear how much if a slut Jae made me. "There. Now you can play. Keep up that win streak. Have to get the gold and boxes, right? Have to play with your friends and ignore me, right?" He nipped at my ear as his fingers slipped out of me to rub circles against my clit. "Have to beg me to let you cum, right?
"P-please dont make me do that!"
"See? You're begging already. What a good girl you are."
My entire body tensed at those two words and i let my controller go for a moment to grab his hand and press his fingers back into me. "Keep going. I want you to keep going."
"I could but i dont have to. Maybe i can use the tappy thingy instead. More people I can kill." He jerked his fingers away and pushed them against my lips. "Clean these off for me. Dont want to get it dirty, do i?"
"Jaaaeeeee," i whined and leaned in for a kiss but he turned his head away.
"Clean. Them."
Reluctantly, i swallowed his fingers down, lapping between and tasting myself. He tested my gag reflex by moving them to the back of my throat but pulling away when it became to much. It was nothing but entertainment for him, a game of cat and mouse that made me feel doomed. "You know you love being inside me." I panted as my mouth was now freed. "I can ride-"
"Oh, how unfortunate. You died. Now we have to wait to return. You're too distracted, Ivy. A shame, truly."
I didn't care anymore. In the few seconds i had between my respawning i stood up and turned towards him, pulling his sweatpants down to stay around his knees. He had no qualms about his erection. I had felt it, of course, but it was like he paid it no mind, like it wasn't an inconvenience and he enjoyed teasing me instead. Was it another way to give me a taste of my own medicine? What a bastard! "Come here." I tried to sound as sultry as possible but he just laughed and took the controller from me.
"Lets see if i can figure this out now." Jae looked at the buttons and pressed at a few before moving the joy sticks to test them out. "Strange but i believe I can-"
It was my turn to cut him off. I lifted his head and focused on his eyes, angered by the smirk still on his lips. "Fuck me."
"Nope."
That wasn't the answer i wanted.
He craned his head to the side to look at the monitor. "Can you move? Im trying to play here."
"Shut up! You didn't even care about playing before!" I pouted as my cheeks flushed both in annoyance and embarrassment. I sat back on his lap anyway, chest to chest, and guided him inside me. Not a sound from him or even a look. He was focused on fighting now which made me want to punch him but i figured if i fucked myself on him long enough i could break his resolve. I gripped onto the back of the chair and started working up and down his length, adding kisses to his neck in between whimpers. "Jae...come on..."
"Ooh, double kill."
"I swear to god! If you dont-"
"No god, just demons."
"Yeah, you're acting like a demon. A demon asshole who wont even pay attention to his girlfriend! I cant believe you're doing this!"
He finally looked at me, dead in the eyes and it made me nervous. "It doesn't feel good, does it?"
Ok, ok. So i had learned my lesson. It was a two way street and maayybeee i wasn't being the best partner but i never figured he wanted anything from me. He never expressed a lot if affection or wonderment at what i did throughout my day. How was i supposed to know? I guess with his lack of knowledge about human things he truly had nothing to do unless i was guiding him. Fuck, now i really felt bad. What a buzzkill. "Im sorry...i understand how you feel now. I didn't think you cared. I know were just together because of the contract. I thought you still hated humans and didn't want to exist beside them."
"I do hate humans but you're my human now. Unfortunately, i have to rely on you and its maddening to be stuck here. In hell i did hundreds of things. I had a job. I had meetings with other demons. I planned wars, participated in real battles, created weapons. I was someone. Here, im nothing but a prisoner."
"Nonono! Please dont feel like that...i dont want to make you feel like that. Please..." I felt my eyes watering and i quickly buried my face in the crook of his neck. He sighed and tossed the controller on the table and shut my laptop. He kicked off the rest of his pants and with ease picked me up and led me to the bed.
"Dont ever speak of this. Not to Johnny, not to Xan. No one, understand?"
I nodded quickly as my back hit the mattress and he stayed above me. "You will do what i say just as much as im forced to do as you say. Love me unconditionally. Break me free from this world and show me why i shouldn't kill everyone in it."
I swallowed hard and nodded again. "I promise. I promise you everything."
"Good. Secondly...i would like to do battle against you in those games."
I couldn't help the giggle i let out. I didn't expect him to say something like that after being so serious. "Oh? You think you can beat me?"
"Im a strategist and a warrior. Of course i can."
"Oh, ok. You play a few rounds of Overwatch and suddenly you're the master. Just dont say anything when i kick your ass, bitch."
He chuckled deeply and snapped his hips without warning. He had still remained inside me and the sudden movement made me cry out loud. "Bring it on then. We'll see who's the better warrior here. Now," his eyes shifted into pure darkness and his fangs glistened with temptation. "Lets see how fast you can give in."

There have been far too many unfortunate events unfolding in your day so far, starting off with the stupid guy that had parked just a little into your spot (that still had you thinking more than you had to do for any science test, and you were highly tempted to just smash the car instead) and then moving onto your English class where you were given a pop quiz on the third act of Romeo and Juliet, and then finally, the situation you’re in now.
It’s the last period of your day, which is supposed to be the most laid back in certain cases, but you’re slumped in your desk in the AP Chemistry lab room for a new assignment of partners. You’ve already attempted to convince Mrs. Choi to let you continue being partners with Chaeryeong, who was looking equally as gloomy from the opposite side of the room, but she had passively dismissed your request with something that went along the lines of ‘expanding our knowledge as a class.’ Not only did that sound like bullshit to you, it actually was, but you didn’t do anything more than stay put as she called out the assignments of partners.
“...Chaeryeong and Jisoo. Beomgyu and Yuna. Y/N and Jisung.”
You’re frozen at the sound of your partner’s name, slightly expecting your teacher to pair you up with one of the overachievers that usually sat in the back and talked shit about the ‘untalented’ kids, but you’re also pleasantly surprised. Turning your head, you meet the said boy’s eyes from a distance, shining into yours before a smile spreads across his face almost immediately. You return one back (probably forcibly from the shock you’re experiencing of the Han Jisung actually recognizing you and smiling at you) before whipping your head back to the front, gulping deeply.
Fuck.
“Now that we’ve split into pairs, there is a list of chemical compounds on this table. Come up with your partner and choose one wisely. After everyone’s chosen, I will tell you what your assignment is.” Mrs. Choi gestures vaguely with her hands, turning away as the rest of the students move around to find their partner. You stay planted in your seat, eyes barely staying open as you quietly continue to try and calm the beating of your heart. You’re sure that it’s not healthy, the erraticness overflowing to every single vein and artery in your body until you’re filled with the filling remembrance that your teacher just paired you up with the single most attractive boy in the school. Well—you purse your lips, thinking about that Hyunjin guy from yesterday—Jisung still causes more heart palpitations than some new guy could ever.
When you deem yourself safe enough to finally use your legs without thinking about falling, you stand up, meeting your partner halfway in the middle of the classroom. He doesn’t say anything at first, possibly because you’ve found a newfound interest in your dirty Converse, but he chuckles as a few seconds pass by, making you look up. “Hey there, thanks for looking at me. Wanna go choose a compound?”
You blanch at his choice of words, but you nod slowly. “Uh-huh, yeah. Sure.”
You learn later, alongside Jisung, that your assignment was to successfully convert your chemical compound into another, with exact proportions being massed properly. Just as you listen to Mrs. Choi going on and on about proper dilution, you slowly start blanking out into the space of ‘why did my dumbass decide to take this class’ and ‘this isn’t worth the pain that I’m receiving.’ Thankfully, Jisung has an equally shocked look at his face as the explanation continues, and you’re sure that there isn’t a way the two of you would be able to complete the assignment properly. There was no way; it was practically impossible.
“I just want to remind you guys that this is definitely possible! Students have succeeded well in the past years! You and your partner should be working together as efficiently as possible, which is why I mixed it up a little this time. There should not be any distractions, understood?” Mrs. Choi finishes, nodding as if someone had actually answered her rhetorical question. “Also, I’ll be grading you on how well you manage your time, so if there’s unnecessary chit-chat, that’ll be points deducted from your grade. No exceptions. Got it?”
You think maybe she’s referring to the time you and Chaeryoung accidentally fucked up the entire experimental process by forgetting to set a timer (it was because the two of you were preoccupied by a TikTok dance, though you would never admit it to anyone), or maybe the time that Jaehyun guy almost set half the chemistry lab on fire by not disposing of chemicals properly. You’d think the school would be a little more careful considering they’re letting teenage students handle dangerous chemicals, but thinking of the time that your teacher told you it was fine to handle acid without wearing gloves, it clearly was never a practice.
You and Jisung start to prepare, with you carefully reading through the reaction process several times and measuring out the chemicals as precisely as possible while Jisung handles the rest of the equipment, bringing over pipettes and scales. As the two of you continued working for the rest of the class period, only till the very end did you notice that you were, possibly for once, actually using all of your class time properly.
“Are you going to homecoming?” Jisung asks as you set down the beaker on the scale, startling you with a non-chemistry related question. If you were being honest, you hadn’t thought about it; homecoming wasn’t too big of a thing at your school to begin with, plus, there wasn’t even the cliche dance that everyone thought they’d get as kids. It was one of the first home games played by the football team (which was pretty shitty, for the record) and they crowned a homecoming king and queen every year. Honestly, it was usually a bore.
“I don’t know,” you say honestly, trying to keep your voice as steady as possible. Maybe constantly reminding yourself every two seconds that Han Jisung was speaking to you would help, but you couldn’t get over it. At least not today. “I haven’t really thought about it.” He hums thoughtfully, taking the beaker from you as you pass it along.
“Have you ever gone to a swim meet before?” His question sounds rather interrogative in nature, and he seems to notice, stumbling over his words for the first time. “Um—I mean, have you gone to any of our swim meets before? You see, I’m on the team and I feel like I’ve seen you before at one of them, and it’s fine if you have gone! I’m just curious.” He holds up his hands in defense as if he’d said something wrong, the chemical splashing around in the beaker as you widen your eyes.
“Fuck, be careful,” you retrieve the object from his hand, placing it down safely on the table to ensure you weren’t going to take after the setting-the-classroom-on-fire guy. Jisung watches as you do so, perhaps overanalyzing the fact that your gloved fingers brushed past his in that moment, now an apologetic look forming over his face. “Sorry, you were about to spill it on yourself.”
“No, it’s fine!” He replies, the volume of his voice attracting attention from the nearby classmates, including Chaeryoung, who gives you a small smirk. You return a pointed glare in her direction, trying to calm down as you realize you’re overheating from the situation at hand right now. “Shit, sorry, that was kind of loud.”
“It’s okay, Jisung,” his name tastes unfamiliar on your tongue, only having been used around Ryujin earlier. Ryujin, you remember, my best friend that’s practically in love with the boy standing in front of me. “I’ve been to your swim meets before, I mean—no offense but—who hasn’t? You guys are undoubtedly the best team in school, who wouldn’t want to watch?”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” he chuckles wryly, sounding a bit forced. You decide to ignore it and continue working on the project. Thankfully, your teacher gave the class a few days to work on it, or else it would be essentially impossible to finish. “Wait, aren’t you usually there with your friend? The one with the blue hair?”
You raise your eyebrows, somehow already feeling just a little more comfortable around him. He isn’t as stuck up as you expected, and he definitely doesn’t act like a cocky little shit either. Most importantly, he seems to be just as nervous as you. A small smile forms on your lips. “You mean Ryujin?”
“Ah, yeah! Her.”
“Ryujin and I usually go to watch swim meets together, or at least, she drags me around everywhere and that’s one of the places I’m forced to go.” You chuckle at the memory of her towing you towards the pool, swearing that she’ll buy you a hundred dollars worth of milkshakes for the next month if you keep her company. She never kept the promise, but you still remember the feeling of watching people competitively swim. More importantly, the seven most popular boys in the school at the time. “But I go voluntarily now. I think everyone has to have some sort of school spirit, right?”
You look up at him, your eyes sparkling under the fluorescent lights and you don’t notice, but Jisung gulps, avoiding your gaze after a split second. “Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Totally, definitely.”
The conversation awkwardly ends there, a little weird but better than having to continue talking about how many times you’ve seen him backstroke his way to a medal. You’re not sure if Jisung even knows how popular going to a swim meet is, because when you ask him, he answers with: “I thought all sports got the same audience.” They don’t, that’s confirmed, unless the dance team was performing as well.
The bell rings a few moments later, finally signalling the end of the day with a deep sigh from you. You clean up as quickly as you can, bidding your new partner (and maybe friend) a goodbye to the rest of the day. As you yank out your phone from your bag, going out into the hallway towards your locker, you spot Chaeryoung from the corner of your eye, brushing past you dramatically with a whisper of:
“You’re whipped already.”
Tumblr media
dear y/n love,
this is my second letter to you. hopefully, unless you didn’t receive the first one for some reason. but if this is the second one, hi! i hope you had a great day today and if you didn’t, i hope you feel better. i think you probably find this weird, the love letter sort of thing, it’s super cliche and everything so i’d get it if you decided to take this and, like, throw it out or something. but please don’t! please don’t throw it out, i’d be very upset. not that you’d know anyway, but :)
you’re also probably wondering, ‘why is this guy sending me stuff without telling me who he is?’ well, i’m glad to say that i have a purpose. it is, well, just to make you happy. life is hard, ya know, and i don’t think a lot of us would be able to get through everything without someone by their side. not that you don’t have anyone by your side! i’m sure you do, you have friends and family that support you as well, but since i unfortunately do not fall into either of those categories, i have to resort to written letters.
anyway, i’m ending this letter quickly considering my class is ending in hmm, like four minutes? i want to make enough time to get to your locker and give it to you, hopefully without you ever noticing, but if you did end up finding out who i am…just forget about that part. yeah, like my face and all? erase that memory from your pretty head. i’m so sorry, i just realized how much i just didn’t get to a point with this letter at all.
in a few days is the homecoming game, and i may or may not have a little surprise waiting for you there. if you’d like to come, that’s awesome, if not, that’s perfect as well. i know the last thing you’d do is trust someone you don’t know, and it might be a little hypocritical of me to say this, but trust me. in the least creepy way, i will say that yes, you do know me, maybe not as well as i know you. shitttt that sounds so creepy, i deeply apologize. i’m just your secret admirer, that’s it, not a stalker omg. now it sounds like i’m a stalker. okay, anyway.
please come to homecoming, i won’t reveal myself to you just yet (maybe not ever, but it depends) but i have something waiting for you. it’s NOT a death wish, cross my heart, for real.
signed, jay

Don’t Need a Lucky Charm

Summary: Supporting Mark's first boxing match
Pairing: boxer!Mark x female reader
Genre: fluff, fluff, fluff
Warnings: none
Word Count: 1.8K
( A/n: couldn’t get this boxer Mark out of my head... enjoy!!❤️)
You and Mark were laying on the couch watching a show to pass time.
“I’m so excited for tonight,” you said, turning around to face your lover.
“I’m nervous,” Mark admitted.
You ran a hand through his smooth brown hair, your hand parting through the soft strands. He was going to his first boxing match after months of training, he has every right to be nervous.
"Win or lose. You'll always be a winner in my eyes," you comforted him.
His arms tightened around your waist. "There's no bigger catch than you, baby." he said with a wink after.
You smiled, feeling all the butterflies erupt, and kissed him.
You turn to look at the clock. "Aren't you supposed to be training?"
"Nah, I don't want to wear myself out," he explained.
He stood up letting go of you and straightened his clothes, he held a hand out to you and you looked at him puzzled.
"I thought you weren't gonna train?" you asked.
"I'm not," he replied "C'mon, let's go to the nearest beach while we still have time."
"Okay," you replied, taking his hand and straightening your clothes as well.
He grabbed the keys while you grabbed a bunch of chips to munch on the way.
"Ready?" he asked.
"Yep, c'mon," you replied.
-----
It wasn't a long drive to the beach, you reached there within a few minutes, you stepped outside the salty breeze clouding the air. You loved the beach even though you drove by it plenty of times.
Mark walked around the car and grabbed your hand making a smile light up your face. His fingers laced through yours holding you tightly. He brought your hand to his mouth, his lips brushing your knuckles.
"Can we switch hands?" you asked, you still wanted to eat the potato chips while you walked. He released your hand, and you walked around quickly grabbing his other hand.
He was holding the chips packet with his spare hand while you fed him and yourself with your other hand.
"Summer is coming around, you have any plans?" he asked.
"Maybe just lounge around and just spend time reading," you said, which was exactly what you did every summer.
"I think we should go on a road trip," he suggested.
"I thought we were gonna do that during spring?" you question him.
"I thought about it but I think it's better if I work during spring, save up, and then we go on a road trip for two months," he explained "That means we get to spend more time with each other."
"I like the sound of that," you said.
Mark sat down on the sand and pulled you down on his lap, his arms embracing your torso,  resting his chin on your shoulder while you rested your head on the side of his. Watching the waves crash the shore feeling utterly at peace in his arms and near the beach.
"Wouldn't it be cool if a shark washed up on shore?" he asked enthusiastically.
"More terrifying than cool, bub," you muttered.
"You could watch me kill it in order to protect you," he said his arms tightening around you "Would you be impressed, my lady?"
"Considering it would already be dead due to lack of water. I'm pretty sure I could kill it too." you chuckled.
"I suppose this is the downfall of dating someone ten times smarter than you," he sighed.
You faced him and gave him a peck on the cheek. Mark blushing immediately as soon as your lips left his cheek. You smiled at your boyfriend, admiring his boyish smile and red cheeks.
You traced your hand on his jaw wondering just how lucky you were to be with the single most amazing person in the world. You lost track of how long both of you sat there in silence, comfortable silence. The kind that you could only share with certain people and yours was Mark.
"It's so beautiful," you breathe, staring at the sun setting in the distance. The flickers of orange, pink and red mixed in a beautiful swirl illuminating the sky. It was breathtaking.
"You know what's beautiful? Watching you admire something which seems so dull in comparison to your beauty," he whispered softly.
You blushed hard, thinking you were hardly prettier than the sunset, but it was kind of him to say so. You looked down hiding your reddened cheeks.
"I wish you believed me," he said.
He looked at his watch before slowly bringing the both of you up.
"My match will start soon," he informed.
You could already feel the nerves kicking in at the statements so you wondered just how nervous he must feel.
-----
Mark paced around the locker room, his hair put up neatly to avoid the bangs on his face while fighting, and his strong chest on display. You could hear the sound of his name loudly echoing through the room.
"I have to go home. I forgot the dishes," he said suddenly.
He reached for his shirt just as you grabbed it. He looked up at you and just beneath his firm expression you could see the glints of fear.
"Mark you are going to do fine," you whispered, placing your hands on his shoulder.
"How do you know that?" You're not a psychic."
"I don't have to be. You are the strongest and most hardworking person I know and tonight you'll prove tha-"
Your words were cut off by his lips, his lips moved against yours hungrily as though he were saving a piece of you for the match. He pulled back his breath ragged. His forehead pressed against yours.
"I don't need a lucky charm. You are my strength Y/N," he said.
"Then go prove me right, Lee."
He pulled on a pair of blue gloves, and pounded his fists together. He gave you one last kiss on the forehead before he headed to the entrance.
"Next up is Lee," the announcer yelled.
He gave you a small wink before walking out into the crowded room, and stepping into the ring. The other boxer stood on the other side of the ring, he must have already entered before Mark's moment of doubt.
You moved to join the full crowd, elbows dug into painfully, shoulders pressed against yours. The more you tried to get to the front the more you were pushed back. You couldn't see anything mainly due to your height but also because you were too far back. How were you supposed to cheer for Mark if you couldn't even see him?
"Lee wants the girl in the blue shirt to be brought to the front," the announcer demanded.
"I'm over here," a girl wearing blue called.
"No he means me."
"Bring me front."
"My bra is blue. I can prove it."
"Mark baby I'm coming."
The room erupted in chaos with everyone claiming to be you. You halted in your spot feeling your protective instincts for Mark kick in, because every girl was struggling to move front towards him and every guy seemed to be irritated by this.
"Shut up," Mark said in an annoyed tone, through the announcer's microphone.
The room slowly grew silent.
"Much better," he murmured.
His voice softened. "Y/N, babe, where are you? Raise your hand please."
"I'm here," you said raising your hand.
"Good," he said "Now all of you please part like the Red Sea and let her come through."
They slowly moved aside providing you enough space to navigate to the front. You gave the people you were passing a small smile to show your gratitude, but they all seemed to be sporting matching expressions of irritation. You finally made it to the front of the ring glad to be closer to him.
"Let's begin," the announcer yelled.
The crowd resumed in their cheering, yelling 'Lee' repetitively and occasionally the name Jaehyun who must have been the opponent. You eyed this Jaehyun he was built, very built, Mark was almost as tall as him. It kinda scared you, but you believed in Mark.
The announcer went over the rules, explaining what determined a win and a loss. You listened intently paying attention to the rules much of which the crowd wanted to drown out in their cheers.
"Round One"
They circled each other like predators. It was Jaehyun who threw the first punch which Mark effectively dodged, retailing with a swift punch to the stomach. They did this a few times exchanging positions of defense and offense. At times it seemed like Mark had a third eye because of the way he dodged a majority of his hits.
The rounds came and went each time Mark got hurt it felt like a blow to your own chest, and each time he had the upper hand you felt like a proud soccer mom at one of her kid's games.
You couldn't help but notice that Mark was very talented, his punches were well aimed, his steps seemed measured, and just looking at the constant flicker of his eyes you could tell that he was aware of his surroundings. His behavior seemed to imitate that of an animal fighting for survival.
The last round of the match was nearing and Mark's face and chest was a burning red coated by sweat. Exhaustion didn't begin to cover the state of him at the moment.
"You can do this Mark!" you yelled "Take it home, baby!"
The round felt like a century with them both seemingly worn out.
"Mark, baby, put him down!"
Mark suddenly charged at Jaehyun, forgetting about holding his position, and continuing firing a punch after punch. I watched wide eyed as Jaehyun dropped to his knees and finally rested on his back. The referee blew his whistle, and soon after raised Mark's hand declaring him the winner.
His chest rose and fell as the crowd roared in delight and victory. He spit out his mouth guard grinning widely. Your heart clenched with joy as you watched him bask in his glory and heard the growing chant of his name begin. This was his moment.
In his moment Mark proudly smiled and when your eyes met, you swore you saw the galaxies in his eyes and you felt as if you're the luckiest person to have ever crossed paths with him. He made you so proud.
------
You waited for Mark to enter the locker room and once he did, you tackled him with a big hug not minding his sweaty body. Mark pulled away to cup your face, seeing you smile proudly at him made his heart burst into happiness. He leaned in to give you a kiss. Your lips moving against each other.
You slowly pulled away just enough that your lips were still brushing against each other. "I love you," you said "Win or lose, I'm proud of you for doing your best."
"I love you too," he replied.
Kissing you once more. Happiness and pride lighting up his face.

Overall warning/s: kinkier smut (eg. voyeurism, exhibition, etc.) character death, dark themes
Just how devoted is Jaehyun to you?
prev: Part 7
wc: 4.7k (i know it’s short, but an update is an update 🥺)
Tumblr media
“Excuse me, but what is your right to hold my future godchild before me?” Doyoung scoffs, pointedly glaring at Kun, who began to laugh at him. “[Y/N]! How could you?!”
You shake your head and shrugged your shoulders, chuckling to yourself, “I didn’t ask Kun, Jaehyun did. Pick a fight with him, not me. Besides, Kun’s a doctor, not a banker.”
Kun nods, “I’m the obstetrician. Sorry, Doyoung.”
He huffed angrily cutting into the steak he ordered.
The three of you finally found a similar time slot to catch up with each other; spending an early dinner together at a restaurant Doyoung swears by. You were halfway through the main course when Kun teased Doyoung about being able to see and hold your kids before him which inevitably annoyed the latter. You had invited Jaehyun to join, but he told you he didn’t want to intrude as this was a mini reunion between high school friends.
“Oh,” You spoke up, halting their bickering, “I hope you two will be free in a month or so, we’re planning a housewarming party as soon as we move into the new house.”
“As long as it’s on a Sunday.” Doyoung says in between bites, covering his mouth with a fist.
You move your attention to Kun, who offers you an unsure smile.
“Hopefully, I’ll be free. But it’s a little busy in the hospital. I barely go home, to be honest. But don’t worry, I’ll do my best to go.”
“I understand if you really can’t.” You insisted, “But I hope you can.”
Doyoung hums, taking a swig of wine. “So in the end, only [Y/N] is getting married among the three of us.”
Kun takes offense to this, “Why are you implying that I don’t have plans at all? I’m just too busy as of the moment. I’m sure I’ll meet someone in the future. Are you still asexual?”
He narrowed his eyes at him, “Don’t make it sound like it’s a phase, Qian. I can’t help that I don’t feel sexual attraction to anyone.”
“But you had sex with that one girl.”
You gasped, almost spilling your iced tea. You leaned over, hissing at your best friend, “You had what?!”
Doyoung glares at Kun before sighing, “It was a one night stand. She’s a friend of a colleague I met at a birthday party. I’m not specifically attracted to her, but I’m not going to deny my body sexual gratification.”
“Okay, but why did you tell Kun before me?” You were very appalled by this new knowledge, but it bothered you more that he didn’t tell you first.
“I didn’t plan to! We ran into her when we met a bar and this guy,” He gestures to Kun with visible annoyance, “just ‘knew’ we had a past.”
“Seemed like she wanted a round two.” Kun teases and you narrow your eyes at Doyoung.
“Did you go for round two.”
The man in question raises his brows and looks away, choosing to take a lengthy sip of his drink.
“Oh, he did.” You and Kun said in unison, giving each other a knowing look.
“It’s purely physical.” Doyoung defends, practically slamming his wine glass on the table, “Besides, she doesn’t have time for a relationship. She’s a divorce attorney.”
You reached out and put a hand over his wrist, “We’re just teasing, Dons. Do whatever you want. You’re an adult; just, you know, be careful.”
“I am, don’t worry. The last thing I need is to get someone I don’t even love pregnant.” He dismisses the topic, “Speaking of, have the two of you decided on names? More importantly, will you name one after me?”
Retracting your hand away from him, you laugh at his question, “Sorry, Dons, but I don’t think we plan on naming one after you.”
He fakes a hurt expression, “Well, I hope you don’t name them something ridiculous.”
“He wants a daughter named after me, that’s for sure.” You swirl the contents of your glass around, “I was thinking of the same if we had a son, maybe Woojae or something, but I don’t want to dwell on it yet. I have other things to think about.”
The night crawls on; Doyoung pays for the meal and the three of you continue to lounge at the restaurant to finish your respective desserts. It feels nostalgic to be with them; you didn’t think it would ever happen since Kun left for China all of a sudden with no proper goodbye or explanation why. It’s surreal to see both of them matured into men when — what felt like yesterday — they were just scrawny teenage boys. Doyoung had gotten rid of his lisp and got lasik surgery. Kun was more eloquent now with words and confident with himself. You didn’t think you were going to miss being with them until tonight.
“Crap,” Doyoung grumbles after receiving a message, “I have to go. There’s been a hack in our system.”
“Oh, no. Will everything be alright?” You watched him grab his jacket he had draped on the back of the chair and shrug it on.
He nods, although unsurely, “We have amazing computer technicians in the company; I’m sure they’ve handled it well. I just need to make sure everything is okay at the office. I’m sorry about this.”
“Take care, Doyoung, and don’t apologize. It’s not your fault, hopefully everything’s okay.” Kun glances at you, “I should be heading back as well. I have an early morning.”
“Will Mr. Kyung pick you up?” Doyoung asks while pushing his chair back.
You stood up and slung your purse over your shoulder, “No, I was going to call for a cab.”
“Let me drive you home.” Kun offers and Doyoung insists you do so you agreed.
You and Kun see him off before heading over to Kun’s car and you input your address into his GPS; it was only a 10 minute drive even with the traffic. The journey started quietly, almost a little awkward.
“[Y/N].” He clears his throat and you glanced at him, “You know, I’m really glad that you’re happy; that you found someone to care for you.”
“Thanks, Kun…” Something felt a little off with his tone.
“I… had no control of what happened to us back in high school. I was scared when I left; we ended things on a bad note and—”
“Kun, it’s fine. The past is past; why are you telling me this? If you didn’t have control over it, then you don’t have to apologize for anything.” You had to admit there was a little venom in the way you spoke, but Kun didn’t seem to flinch at your tone.
“The past is past…” He repeated, “You’re just going to let things go because it was in the past?”
You frowned at him, not understanding what he wanted to say.
“[Y/N], there’s something you need to know; about why my family suddenly flew back to China.”
“Why? Why do I have to know? You make it sound like it’s my fault.” You honestly didn’t want to talk about this. “And you make it sound like it was a bad thing! You said there were better opportunities for your parents back in China.”
He groans, clearly frustrated, “Yes, they did. Their salary back there couldn’t compare to what they made here.”
“Why can’t we leave it at that? It was all perfect timing back then.”
“It wasn’t perfect timing, [Y/N].” His jaw is clenched, hissing the words out through gritted teeth. “There’s more to it than you think.”
You scoffed, “Okay, fine, so what? It doesn’t change the fact that your parents hated me.”
“My parents—” He swallows, trying to get his bearings, and speaks in a softer tone, “My parents never hated you, [Y/N]. They loved you; especially my dad. He was fond of you because you reminded him of my grandfather.”
“Then why the sudden hostility? Why did they try and stop us from seeing each other? The sudden curfew, the phone bans?”
“My grades dropped a letter and they just wanted me to focus in school! You know I was on scholarship so they were strict about my grades. It was never about separating us!”
“Then that night!” You cried, voice echoing in the small vehicle, “Your mother looked me in the eyes and said these exact words; ‘I don’t want you to date my son.’ Explain that!”
Kun takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. The glaring red brake lights of the cars in front seemed to make the mood worse as he looks at you pensively. “They didn’t want to do that, [Y/N].”
“Kun, please.” You rolled your eyes, “Your parents made it very clear—”
“Will you just listen to me for a sec? Qīn—”
“Shut up!” You screeched, panicking at the nickname you haven’t heard in years. “You don’t have the right to call me that.”
He shakes his head, distraught at the car honking behind him, and he starts to drive again, “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to call you that. It just came out—”
“Pull over.” You heaved; it felt like you can’t breathe, the air was too heavy, and the interior made you feel claustrophobic. “Pull over!” You don’t even recognize your voice as you screamed again.
Kun pulls over at the next opening and you unbuckle your belt, “[Y/N], I’m sorry. I swear, I didn’t mean to upset you… [Y/N], I’m just trying to protect you.”
A curt laugh bubbles from your chest, “From what? If this was about our relationship years ago, you could have protected me then! You’re years too late, Kun.”
Your words cut through him; hurt evident in his eyes as he hopelessly stares back at you.
“And I hate depending on him but,” You sniffed, “I have Jaehyun now. He can protect me and you don’t even know how safe I am with him. So if I’m in danger, I know Jaehyun will do anything in his power to protect me.”
His face doesn’t give anymore emotions as he unlocks the door and you start to leave until he speaks up again, “From who.”
You look back at him, confused.
Kun doesn’t meet your gaze, just staring forward, “I’m not protecting you from something. I’m protecting you from someone. Or at least I tried to.”
“Thanks, but…” You paused, seeing the slightest movement from his brows, “Jaehyun can handle it.”
He doesn’t say anything else and you get out of his car, waiting for him to pull back into the traffic and watch him drive away. You looked around, you were just a block away from your apartment so you began to walk towards it.
You’re willing yourself not to dwell on what happened in the car ride, but you couldn’t help repeating Kun’s voice when he accidentally called you by the pet name he used for you. You don’t know why you reacted that way when you heard it again. It gave you an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, but the way he said it bothered you; he sounded desperate.
You arrive home and the second you step inside, you lock the door and cautiously peered through the peephole. There was no one there and you didn’t feel like anyone was following you, so why did you even check?
Tea, you think. Tea will help you calm your nerves. As you scurry off into the kitchen after removing your shoes, tossing your purse onto the counter, you stare at the kettle.
Qin
Tea won’t make you forget.
Jaehyun came home at 9PM, tugging off the knot of his tie loose and debating on calling out for you; unsure if you’re busy or asleep. He was about to make a bee-line towards the bedroom to check on you, but skids to a stop when he notices your body slumped over the coffee table. His blood ran cold, dropping his things onto the ground and running towards you.
The thud of his items jolts you awake, whipping your head to the source of the sound and gasping in fear when your blurry vision sees a dark mass coming at you with arms raised forward. You try to move away, but your drunken limbs wouldn’t cooperate. You hear your name in a panic tone and you visibly relax when you recognize Jaehyun’s voice; your vision finally focusing on his worried expression as he knelt in front of you.
It was only then did Jaehyun realize the empty vodka bottle by the table and the shot glass laying on its side by your legs. He looks back at you, “What’s wrong?”
You threw yourself at him, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and using his scent to calm yourself down. You felt like crying, but tears won’t come out.
“Hey,” He ran his hand over your back repeatedly and kissed the side of your head, “Hey, it’s okay. I’m here. It’s alright.”
That was all you needed to hear; the anxiety left your mind and the jitters stopped. Whatever Kun was talking about, you didn’t have to worry about it as long as you were with Jaehyun.
He feels your body relax and he pulls away a bit to see you passed out. He sighs, pulling you back close to him and kissing your forehead, rocking your bodies to a silent rhythm. He doesn’t know what’s wrong, but he’s not going to wait for you to wake up and tell him about it. Once Jaehyun carried you to the bed and gingerly stripped your clothes off, he took off your makeup and tossed the wipes into the trash bin. He pulls the sheets up to your chin and gives you one last kiss on the cheek before retrieving his phone from where he dropped it earlier.
He presses a number on the speed dial and walks to the window, peering down at the night life of the city.
“Sir.”
“What happened before she got home?”
Tumblr media
“Everything seems good so far. Kyungwon mentioned how the pull-out kotatsu is working well?” You look around the empty space of Yuta’s apartment, already visualizing how to design and decorate it.
Yuta casually nods, “Yes, I’m quite impressed by her design, really. It’s quite convenient for the heater to turn on automatically after a certain length.”
“The tatami mats will be delivered tomorrow morning and installation will be done by the end of the week. Regarding the bathtub—”
“The ofuro.” He interjects and you repeat after him.
“The ofuro, yes, there’s a delay in shipping it. The company said it might take another week.”
Yuta shrugs, “If it can’t be helped. I don’t mind the wait.”
You look over the apartment once more, “Well, aside from that, after everything that needs to be installed is in place, we can begin putting furniture and decorating it the way you like it.”
The sun is setting outside and Yuta’s apartment has an amazing view of it; you check your watch for the time and hope you won’t get caught in the rush hour.
“Great!” He cheers, “Finally, a place I can call home. Although, I’ll miss room service.”
This makes you laugh, “Can’t cook?”
“I can if I have to, but I don’t have the time or luxury to do so with all the work I have. I’ve already hired the hotel chef to come by every other day to make something for me, you know, something I can easily reheat or throw all together.” He pauses, “Does Jaehyun cook? Or do you?”
“We both do. We take turns. But we have days when we live off on take-outs and deliveries.”
Yuta’s phone rings and he fishes it out of his pocket, lightheartedly scoffing before glancing at you. “Speak of the devil. Hello— hey, calm down man.”
You watch his expression grow concerned and confused as he looks at you.
“She’s here and she’s fine. I don’t know. I haven’t seen her take out her phone the whole time.”
Your phone? You spin around and dashed to your handbag on the counter, dissecting it for the said item but found it to be missing. You wonder out loud about its whereabouts, wracking your brain to remember where you last used it.
“[Y/N].” Yuta calls out to you and you turn to see him hand his phone out to you.
You take it from him, putting it over your ear, “Jaehyun?”
“Are you okay? Where’s your phone?”
“I— I don’t know. I must have misplaced it.” You licked your lips. He sounds so frantic. “I probably left it at the house by accident. I dropped by earlier since they started with remodeling and I remember using it last there.”
“Okay… okay. I’ll go look for it. Can you give the phone back to Yuta?”
“Jaehyun, what’s happening?”
“I’ll tell you later. I need you to go home right now.”
You hand the phone back to Yuta and with the look on your face, he puts the call on loudspeaker.
“Jaehyun?” He clears his throat.
“Yuta, I need you to take [Y/N] home. Please.”
“Yeah, of course. I’ll take her now…” You move back to where your bag is, zipping it back up to get ready to leave. “Is everything okay? I know it’s not exactly my business, but I’d like to know why I have to escort her home.”
The line was silent for a moment; eerie enough for you to peek over your shoulder just before Jaehyun finally replies.
“There was a threat made against her, Yuta. I don’t want to take chances.”
Your blood ran cold. Was this from the person Kun warned you about? But that can’t be, right? This person should have been from years ago. Did they find you again because of your engagement with Jaehyun?
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you gasped, backing away so quickly, you hit your hip on the edge of the counter. You winced in pain, but brought back to your senses and looked up at Yuta with wide eyes.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have touched you. You’re obviously distraught.” He says, taking a step back.
“No, no, it’s fine. I’m okay. Let’s just go.”
The walk from the apartment, to the elevator, and to Yuta’s car was tense. For you, at least. Yuta kept it cool; walking casually. On the other hand, you followed closely behind him, trying to inconspicuously check your surroundings for shady characters. When you got to his car, he opened the door for you and you quickly got in.
“Relax, [Y/N]. It can very well be just a prank.”
You give it a thought. He has a point. But the fact Kun told you he wanted to protect you from someone a couple of days ago rang at the back of your mind. Maybe you should have told Jaehyun what happened; why you suddenly decided to get drunk in the middle of the week. He didn’t press you for a reason, probably chalking up to it as stress from work.
“Unless,” Yuta interrupts your train of thought, “Jaehyun has enemies? Or you have some stalker?”
“—I don’t!” You vehemently denied, choking on your own spit. You cover it up with a nervous chuckle, “I mean, who would take interest in me?”
“Jaehyun took interest in you.” Yuta hums, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. “But in our business, we’re bound to make enemies without even knowing it.”
“You think Jaehyun pissed someone off?”
He doesn’t answer immediately, focusing on driving for a few minutes and checking the rear view mirror. “There’s a lot of greedy men out there, [Y/N]. Plenty of them are petty, too.”
It was completely dark out by the time you reached your apartment. When he escorted you all the way up to your room, you asked him to stay until Jaehyun returned. He seemed to hesitate, but relented once he noticed just how scared you were.
“Would you like anything to drink? Tea? Coffee?” Your eyes shift to the wine cooler, “Vodka?”
Yuta looks at you incredulously, “I don’t think this is the right time to drink alcohol, [Y/N]. If anything, I think I should be preparing you some tea.”
“No, no, I’ll make it myself. Please, make yourself comfortable.” You grabbed the kettle and filled it up with water. “What kind would you like?”
“Hmm? Anything is fine.”
His voice sounded like he wasn’t seated at the counter nor the living room. Once you turned the stove on, you walked out into the hallway to find him looking at the photos on the wall. It almost freaked you out, until you saw him smiling at the photos — almost innocently at them.
He realizes your presence and stutters out an apology. “Sorry, I just really admire your relationship. It makes me wish I had someone to protect and care for. You must feel pretty lucky to have someone like him… someone who’d go out of their way to protect you.”
“There’s no one more I’d trust my life with.” You chuckled, showing off your engagement ring. “I just wish he’d—”
You stopped yourself, hoping he didn’t catch it, but he curiously peeks at you over his shoulder and you inwardly curse yourself as you try to rephrase what you were about to say.
“He’s just…” There’s no way to sugarcoat what you wanted to say. “He’s overprotective. And I appreciate it, I really do. It’s just… he doesn’t have to go out of his way to do so.”
Yuta laughs, “He’s a billionaire, [Y/N], what exactly does ‘out of his way’ mean?”
“I mean, he doesn’t have to overdo it.” You sighed, realizing a split second later that he could interpret your words wrongly. You open your mouth to correct yourself, but he beats you to it.
“Overdo it?” He repeats, “Like…”
The kettle begins to whistle and you quickly excuse yourself to prepare the tea. When you turn the stove off, you hear the front door open and Jaehyun’s voice calling out to both you and Yuta. You hear Yuta greet him and tell him that you’re preparing tea just as you round the corner and almost collide face first into Jaehyun’s chest.
“[Y/N]!” He grabs your shoulders and hugs you.
“Jaehyun, what’s happening?” You pushed him away, feeling a little shy since Yuta was there.
He lets out a heavy breath, “I received a note while I was at the office. It questioned your safety.”
“What does that mean? What did the note say exactly?”
“Is she safe?” Jaehyun clears his throat, “And it had a picture of you, Doyoung, and Kun from that night you three met up for dinner.”
Your fingers began to shake uncontrollably, Kun’s warning flooding back into your mind. “...From who?”
The look of regret on your fiance’s face tells you he hasn’t found out yet who sent the photo, “I don’t know. The note was slipped into the receptionist desk somehow.”
“Mina doesn’t remember where it came from or who handed it to her?’
“Mina hasn’t come into work for two days now. The temporary secretary there is overwhelmed with the work that piled up for her, so I can’t blame her if she doesn’t remember who or where the note came from.”
“Security cameras?” Yuta pipes up, but Jaehyun shakes his head. “I was told my people have already installed it.”
“The cameras were set up, but there was a system error on our end. There’s no footage.”
You walk off towards the windows and cross your arms, overwhelmed with the urge to vomit. Jaehyun calls for you and you shrugged your shoulders, “Maybe it’s just a prank? That’s possible, right?”
“Yes, it is.” Jaehyun pauses, slowly nodding his head, “But I don’t want to take chances, [Y/N], not when it concerns you.”
“Would you have any idea who would be behind this, Jaehyun?”
He looks at Yuta and frowns, “Not a single clue.”
You pulled your bottom lip between your teeth; you should tell him about what Kun told you.
“Jaehyun, [Y/N], if you need anything, I’ll gladly help. I can have my team set up surveillance cameras here — free of charge. You can even have the feed be sent straight to your phones.”
“My phone.” You gasped, remembering it was missing. Before you could panic, Jaehyun fishes it out of his pocket and holds it out to you.
“It was at the house.”
Checking the notifications, there were nearly a hundred missed calls from both him and Doyoung. You peer up at him while calling Doyoung. “You told Doyoung?”
“Of course. I thought he would know something.”
“[Y/N]?! Where the fuck—”
“I’m fine! I’m safe! I just left my phone at the house this morning and didn’t notice! I’m sorry for making you worry.” You continue to calm your best friend down, promising to be careful and such. By the time you are done with the call, Yuta announces he should head back to his hotel.
“I should get going. Take care, you two.”
You walk back to them, “Oh, please stay for dinner. As a thanks for bringing me back home and even waiting for Jaehyun with me.”
He smiles, “Maybe some other day? I’m expecting a conference call with my family later and I wouldn’t want you guys to hear a bunch of angry Japanese.”
“Oh,” You purse your lips, “Okay. Some other day then?
“Yuta, thank you again for bringing her home and waiting with her. It really put my mind at ease to know she’s not alone.” Jaehyun puts an arm around you and you lean into him.
“Don’t mention it, Jaehyun, so tell me if I could be of any help, I’ll gladly do so.”
You both see Yuta off, waiting for him to enter the elevator and waving one last time before closing the door and locking it for the night. You turn to Jaehyun, who immediately reacts to your touch.
“Don’t worry,” He whispers, “You’ll be okay, baby. I’ll take care of it.”
“I know. I know you will.” You tug at his arms and he leans down to kiss you, letting your lips mold against each other. When he pulls away, you lick your lips, “I’m going to make tea. Would you like some?”
“I’m good. I’ll finish up some work. Get some sleep after, okay? I’ll be with you as soon as I’m done.”
You watch him walk off towards his home office and you make your way back to the stove to reheat the kettle. Your eye catches the photo Yuta was looking at; it was your graduation photo with him, both of you dressed in the dark gown and proudly clutching onto your diplomas, but had noticeably harder grips on each other. Everything seemed simpler back then with nothing to worry about other than school, rent, and what to eat daily.
Why didn’t you tell him about what Kun told you?
No, why couldn’t you tell him?
You look back to where he disappeared into; now determined to solve this on your own.
Tumblr media
Inside his home office, Jaehyun carefully closes the blinds of the little window on the door and pulls out the note he had received earlier.
He didn’t want to lie to you. Especially not about something like this. It still involved you, however the safety being compromised wasn’t just yours.
He opens the crumpled note back up, rereading the 3 words over and over again. His gaze moves to the photo it came with. It really was of you, Doyoung, and Kun.
It just wasn’t from a couple days ago; nor was it a couple of weeks either. Anyone could tell with one look how far back it was. You were standing in a music store, watching Doyoung pick an album from the stand in front of you, beside you stood Kun, just barely recognizable and the only telltale sign was the beauty mark on his brow. What stood out the most was that all three of you wore your high school uniforms.
Jaehyun crumples it up, angrily closing his fist around the photo. He brings the note back up and clicks his tongue.
Does she know?

Pasión de Gavilanes AU
Characters: Tara (OC), Mark Lee, Sungjae Lee, M, Emily
Word count: 2,6k
Genre: fluff, angst(?)
(Part of a larger story and multiple AUs, but can be read on its own)
“Our favorite girl is here!” An excited voice exclaimed causing Tara to spin around scandalized, her abundant jet black hair whipping about her head and eventually falling down her shoulders in a nearly cinematographic way.
Across the room, the owner of the voice—a tall, long-necked man of pretty dimples,—stood by a massive wooden staircase, keeping an educated distance and looking puzzled. Considering that his last encounter with Tara Lee had been anything but peaceful—the night ended up in chaos, with her cousins storming out of their own party,—he wasn’t expecting to find her pacing up and down the foyer of his house with a toddler in arms.
“I- I meant Astrid, of course,” The man, M —as his closest friends and family called him— added, nervously looking away from Tara’s judging glances. For someone who barely knew Tara and whose only “interactions” with her had consisted in cold remarks and snarky comments —from her part—the man still took offense in the way her expression contorted into something mildly similar to disgust. “Anyway… Thanks for coming”
Tara who couldn’t quite believe she’d dared to set foot in that house—if her mother or any of her aunts found out she was there, she’d be kicked out of the Delacroix State in a heartbeat,—and was still surprised by how majestic and prosperous everything seemed, only responded with a single acknowledging nod of the head.
“Wow Astrid, you’re growing so fast” M chose to ignore the fact Tara was looking around the house, seemingly unimpressed and held out both arms calling his niece’s name. In an effort to cut the distance between them, he also gave two short, cautious steps forward. “It was about time you were allowed to visit your dad and uncles,” he said, his voice changing drastically to what was supposed to be a child-friendly tone that, Tara thought to herself, was hard to emulate with his deep voice.
However, Astrid, the one-year-old toddler—daughter of Minah and Sungjae—was easy to impress. She cooed cutely waving her tiny hands around in the air as if trying to reach for the crystal lamp—or probably just her tall uncle.
The scene was sweet enough for Tara to relax and let out a soft chuckle as she made the mental note to tell her cousins about this later. There was no doubt Jane and Minah would go in a long rant about how Astrid was turning into a little traitor. They would probably have two different people to blame, but it would obviously involve the Lee brothers.
According to Tara’s cousins, M and his brothers, Sungjae and Mark, were the root of all evil, the equivalent to Satan on Earth and the reason Delacroix Group was bordering bankruptcy. And truth to be told, once upon a time, Tara herself was convinced of it and she had even go as far as campaigning against the three brothers. Tara hated each of them: Sungjae and whatever it was that had Minah acting like some hormonal teenager, M and those dimples that seemed to erase all traces of judgment from Jane's brain and above it all, Mark Lee and that stupid smile of his.
But lately, things didn’t seem so black and white anymore. Tara had promised Mark—the same Mark Lee she hated to the bone once upon a time— not to jump to conclusions when it came to their intentions anymore. And at least for now, she was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
For now, Tara had even offered to take Astrid to visit her dad and willingly drove 10 miles to the brothers' ranch. That was a weekly task Jane had taken upon herself, but that she refused to carry out after the fiasco at the Delacroix fashion show.
Tara didn’t blame her.
After all, the image of Astrid’s little arms moving up and down, desperately trying to reach for her uncle would have probably caused her cousin an aneurism.
Tara, on the other hand, was much more collected, wise, and less visceral. She was also the only person in Delacroix Manor willing to see the Lees. And anyhow, Tara wasn’t pleased with the prospect of spending another afternoon with her cousins if that meant having to act sympathetic when Jane complained about how that “deceptively handsome devil”—M, her husband— showed up unannounced to their collection’s launch party and “ruined” her date with Jaehyun Jung, a textile industrial she had been frequenting. Tara wasn't sure if Jane’s complained because—she claimed—M was the last person on Earth she wanted to see or because he looked so devastatingly hot that day, dressed in a classic Ralph Lauren suit that was a striking contrast with the clothes he usually wore, or because up until that day Jaehyun had no idea Jane was—technically—married.
Then there was Minah, who despite being less vocal on her complaints, lately looked so lifeless that her mere presence seemed to drain all the energy out of the room. Tara had vainly tried to play the role of supportive cousin who offered words of consolation and encouragement, but Minah always brushed her off. Unlike Jane, Minah avoided mentioning the Lee brothers at all costs. The last time Tara asked about Sungjae, Minah got angry and claimed to be absolutely unaffected by his new romantic relationship with Ashleigh Hastings. Of course, watching her drown herself in work and rosé suggested otherwise, but Tara didn’t dare to point out the flaws in her argument. Tara was also unwilling to spend another afternoon pretending not to notice Minah’s eyes filling out with tears every now and then.
“So, Jane won’t come anymore?” M asked, clearing his throat casually as if to get Tara’s attention. It worked because Tara snapped from her thoughts and looked back at him.
“What do you think?” She replied sarcastically. M opened his mouth to say something, but Tara signaled him to hold Astrid before the hyperactive toddler decided to jump off her arms. Once M was jiggling Astrid up and down and her laugh echoed down the hallway, Tara went on as if nothing had interrupted them “If you don’t want me to come here, next time-“
“For god’s sake, Tara, don’t be ridiculous” Another familiar voice spoke from behind her. Tara was quick to notice two things. The first one was that the man’s voice dripped exasperation, the second that her heart did a wild flip when he pronounced her name. “Of course we want you to come, especially if you’re bringing our niece to visit.”
Tara gulped quietly and slowly turned around.
She was greeted by a close-up of Mark, M’s younger brother and the owner of the vast lands adjacent to Delacroix State—where Tara and her extended family lived. There, smiling that exasperating smile—confident, but warmth-inducing and absolutely gorgeous—Tara had hated for months—years, probably—, Mark Lee stood blocking the sun rays filtering through the windows. The light gave him an angelic aura. It didn’t help he was suited in a beige suit that made his back look broader than Tara could remember.
“Hi Tara, nice to see you,” Mark said simply, a full smile still present in his face.
“Hey, how are you?” Tara mentally kicked herself thinking of how awkward and unnatural she sounded, how his simple words had her feeling all sorts of nervous.
Thankfully there was no time for further regret because Mark’s older brother, Sungjae, materialized at the top of the staircase and practically flew down the stairs, pulled his daughter from his brother’s arms and smothered her with kisses.
Astrid cried solid ten seconds but then burst out with loud contagious giggles.
Watching the Astrid & Sungjae show was oddly endearing, but somehow felt like an invasion of privacy. For a second or two Tara looked around trying to find a place to sneak to while Sungjae caught up on the missing time with his daughter. But when she started to move, Sungjae’s voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Ummm, so Minah is not coming?” He asked as Astrid played with a strand of his hair “She’s never talking to me again or what?” Sungjae’s eyes bored into Tara’s as if trying to get an honest answer from her.
“I did everything possible to bring Astrid” Tara replied with a frown, she hesitated before adding “I really don’t think I can convince Minah to come”
It resulted impossible to ignore the shadows immediately invading Sungjae’s eyes. Tara wondered if talking about her cousin had put them there or if there was something else worrying him. The man already looked a bit haggard when Tara first saw him, but upon further inspection, she realized he looked particularly hollow-cheeked and pale “It’s fine, I’m still thankful you brought my daughter, Tara” There was a pause where Sungjae looked at Astrid with a faint smile “I really mean it. Thank you”
“Well, don’t thank me…” With a slight tinge of guilt, Tara added “We really can’t stay long. I promised to take Astrid back before our aunts notice we’re gone. You know what they think of…” she trailed off, realizing how inappropriate it was to complete that sentence. Telling the Lee brothers how much her aunts despised them seemed unnecessary and somewhat repetitive considering those four women were not exactly subtle and never missed the chance to let M, Sungjae and Mark know they were as welcome in the region as a plague was in their fields.
Sungjae’s expression dropped considerably.
“Tara, you just got here” M protested, though he kept his kind smile plastered on the face “Sungjae hasn’t seen Astrid in weeks, he won’t admit it, but he was going insane”
Mark chuckled at his brother's comment, knowing Sungjae wouldn’t appreciate being exposed like that, but looking away when Sungjae frowned at him.
“No, I am serious, guys” Tara said apologetically “We have to go soon”
“Tara, don’t be so impatient” it was almost ironic that Mark let out an impatient sigh just after calling her that. Tara looked away to hide the smile tugging at the corner of her lips
“Yes, Sungjae deserves some time with Astrid” A female voice coincided, taking Tara by surprise. When she looked up to the second floor, she found a beautiful young woman—Emily Choi—smiling down at them and leaning against the banister. Emily was the only daughter of Madame Elsie Choi, a wealthy and old land-owner who was too close of a friend of Tara’s aunts for her liking. However, as of recently, Emily had officially moved into the Lee residence, God knows why. Rumors said Emily was actually related by blood to the Lee brothers, but Tara was not one to listen to gossip or care about other people’s affairs.
And yet, she still supposed the change of air had been beneficial to Emily because the girl looked happier than Tara remembered her to be when she was still living with her old mom and those two annoying cousins of her. Emily smiled at her and waved a hand cordially.
“I was just dropping by to say the staff prepared a little tea party at the terrace, if you want to join me and Lucas,” she announced happily.
“Oi, he’s coming today? Again?” Mark questioned, eyes narrowing a bit comically.
“He was here yesterday and the day before. At this rate I think it’ll be better to have him moving here” M said with an eye roll
“I was just being nice” Emily scoffed, but her smile did not vanish from her lips “You’re welcome to join, but if you don’t want to, then” she shrugged casually. “I’ll be at the terrace if you need me” She made a fake reverence and before disappearing, she briefly added a “nice to see you, Tara.”
“And that’s our cue to leave” Tara attempted to move forward to retrieve Astrid from her father’s arms when a hand wrapped around her wrist, keeping her in place. The woman didn’t need to turn around to know it was Mark who was holding her back, partly because M would’ve never dared to touch her and partly because her pulse accelerated inexplicably.
“I-“ Mark looked at his hand, as if startled by his own actions “I would like to talk to you before you go, Tara” he let go of her wrist and gave her a quick apologetic curtsy that caused his brothers to raise brows and share incredulous looks. “If you follow me-”
Mark led Tara through the stables and horse training facilities of his ranch. “El Dorado” was undoubtedly the greatest horse farm in the region, sprawled for miles and neighboring the Delacroix Ranch. Mark—and by default his brothers—had become the owner of this billionaire property through what people considered to be a questionable marriage that didn’t even hit the 24-hour mark. Tara had recently found out that the story was not as simplistic and accepting that the Mark she claimed to hate for years was not a gold-digging bastard had been quite of a ride. It started with him showing up at some of the most exclusive events in the region, avid of revenge and acting like he was beyond the rest of land owners. Then Tara nearly killed him, knocking him off his horse. And ended up with Tara saving his life from some lowlifes who attempted to kill him. All in the span of a month. Now, Tara followed him God knows where and for some reason she couldn’t completely grasp she didn't even protest.
“The Ranch is spectacular, you really manage it properly” Tara commented, mostly because the silence was starting to stretch for too long.
“Well, it still has nothing on yours” The man gave her a lopsided smile. It was not a secret that Tara was—or at least used to be until very recently—the real mastermind behind the Delacroix Ranch's prosperity.
“Well, lately we’ve had-“ Tara paused “a few setbacks, as you probably noted”
“It’s Julien’s fault, no?” Mark wasn't subtle, but it was an open secret that Julien Toubeau—Minah’s ex-husband and one of the most despicable humans on Earth—had recently been appointed Deputy Finance Manager of the Delacroix Group and things had gone downhill since.
Tara didn’t deny it “Mostly” she nodded “but the girls —she said referring to her cousins Jane and Minah— and I have a backup plan to save the ranch” Tara explained.
“And I’m sure you’ll do great” Mark reached to pat Tara’s shoulder, causing her to stop walking and freeze on the spot. “Especially you, Tara” he said, moving so they were facing each other “Everybody knows you’re brilliant and hardworking”
Tara looked down, afraid that if she allowed Mark to look into her eyes, he’d noticed the effect his words had on her.
“And I was furious when Julien tried to take your position from the board of governors, you know?” Mark also looked down in an attempt to find whatever it was that Tara found so interesting on the ground.
“Thanks, that means-“ she took a deep breath and raised her head “a lot to me, Mark”
“You have nothing to thank me. In fact, I should be thanking you for bringing Astrid to visit.”
“Honestly, I’m not doing it to ingratiate myself with you or your brothers, Mark” Tara suddenly turned serious “I did it because I knew Sungjae would do anything to see her and I didn’t want more problems. Things are-“ she hesitated “very complicated right now and I don’t want our families to start fighting again and-” Tara trailed off when she noticed Mark slipping a hand into hers. “And it’s not right for you to hold my hand” she added, without concealing a giddy smile making its way to her lips “The workers can see us and God knows what they’ll think. I don’t want any rumors floating around”
“And you know, I’d do more than just holding your hand,” Mark said leaning closer and closer to Tara.
“Don’t even think about it, Mark” Tara chuckled, her face a mixture of amusement and regret “It’s really not the right time”
“So, you don’t let me send you flowers, you won’t let me thank you for saving my life, Tara-“ Mark inhaled loudly “I’ve been meaning to ask you out-“ Mark could almost hear an excuse escaping from Tara’s lips, so he hurried to place a finger over them “You can’t say no, the only valid answer is a place and a date”
Tara shook her head defeated “Is it supposed to be a date?” She dared to question although she knew very well it was.

More than friends, less than lovers
Pairing: Ten x gender neutral (?) Male preferring reader
Genre: angst, fluff, best friends to lovers, little bit of sexual themes but not really
Warnings: implied sex, strong language
Word count: 1.7 words
Friends did not fully describe your relationship with Ten. Best friends is a bit closer but it still didn't fully encapsulate what you were to each other. Partners or lovers is too far of a stretch and friends with benefits was offensive to both of you. The two of you existed in this grey area and that's what you preferred. There was no social contract, there were no obligations, just an agreement that you would be there for each other and have fun.
This wasn't something everyone understood. You both were often teased by your friends about your relationship or lack thereof. There were always moral questions regarding certain scenarios you could find yourselves in such as one Mark brought up, "what if one of you fell in love with another person?" To which that answer would simply be that you would support it no matter what. Afterall, you weren't in a relationship and at the base of it all, you were friends.
"Okay but what if one of you fell in love with the other person?" Johnny asked during one of your weekly Friday night hangouts with the boys. You were seated on Ten's lap with one of his arms wrapped around your waist while you played with the contours of his fingers.
Ten shot a look at Johnny that you missed before you turned to him and you both answered, "that could never happen."
"Alright but what if? What if, hypothetically, Ten realizes he's in love with you? Would you want him to tell you?" Johnny prodded answers from you.
"Of course I'd want him to tell me. Our whole relationship is based on us communicating well." You answer.
"Oh so this is a relationship?" Jaehyun leans in, as did everyone else in the room.
"It's not like that kind of relationship," you sigh as Ten draws circles on your hip with his thumb.
"We're just friends who take care of each other really well." Ten defends.
"Yeah, you take care of each other extremely well. I wish I had friends like that." Jaehyun laughs as you throw a pillow at him.
You fold your arms across your chest and plaster on a pout as Ten quickly changes the subject to something you have no interest in. Eventually, you doze off, collapsing against Ten's shoulder as his voice lulls you deeper into sleep. He was much more talkative compared to you and always had a quick reply for anything that came at him, something you always admired.
The night drew to an end as the boys dissipated and retreated to their own dorms or rooms, leaving you and Ten cuddled up on the couch together. Your quiet snores pulled a faint smile across his lips as he took in your presence. He loved watching you sleep. He loved whenever your dreams would sneak an unconscious smile on your face and how you would occasionally twitch and nuzzle your head into the crook of his neck.
Johnny was coming closer and closer to revealing his secret. At any opportunity he was given, he would try and chip away at the subject, opposing Ten's constant pleading to stop. Johnny didn't understand why his friend couldn't just be upfront about his feelings, he was the type to always lay everything out so there were no surprises or secrets. To him, this was easier but to Ten, things were a lot more complicated. Would he ruin the best thing he's ever had if he told you how he felt? Why say anything when things were going perfectly well? But then again, the thought of you possibly being with other people terrified him, he wanted you to himself.
The silence of the room seemed to wake you up as the noise of friendly banter had ended for the night. "Where is everyone?" You rubbed your eyes and yawned.
"They all went to bed. It's just us. Do you want to sleep over tonight?" He asked you, almost insisting.
"I might as well." You smile sleepily. You were so adorable in that moment, Ten pulled you in for a kiss, followed by another and another. He pulled you into his lap to straddle him as he continued to deepen his kisses. "Ten, we're going to get caught." You gasp for air.
"Who cares?" He smirks into your lips. His hands snake up the front of your shirt to tease your nipples, causing you to let out a squeak while grinding down against him. "Are you okay, baby?" He smiled at you getting worked up from his touches.
"I'm… Fine." You breathed out.
"Good." He said as he stood up, picking you up with him. He wrapped your legs around him and started walking to his room. Though he was small, he was quite strong and capable of carrying you whatever he needed you to be. "We're going to make sure these guys know who you belong to tonight." He muttered into your ear.
---
"I don't like him." Ten shrugged after you introduced him to the new guy you're seeing.
"You never like anyone I date." You frown.
"That's because no one is good enough for you." He rubbed your thigh but you pulled away. "What's wrong?"
You couldn't put your feelings into words since you didn't even know what was wrong. "I just feel like I'm missing something, you know?" You quickly turn to him when the thought crosses your mind. Ten just shakes his head, unsure of how to respond. Instead, he pulls you into his lap to comfort you but for the first time, being with him so intimately didn't feel right. You stand up and pull your arms around yourself for comfort.
"Hey, hey." He stands up as well and cups your face in his hands. You try to pull away but you couldn't help but feel yourself melting into his touch. "C'mon, let me in that mind of yours." He leaned his forehead down to meet yours.
Suddenly, tears start falling down your cheeks. "Why is it that I can't keep a relationship with any guy? I feel like I'm always going to be alone." You cry.
"You're not alone. I'm here." He pulls you into a hug but you push him away, leaving him confused.
"No. Ten, no. I can't do this anymore."
"What's happening here? What are you saying?" Ten suddenly felt his chest tighten, a feeling he's been trying to avoid from the moment he fell for you. He didn't get an answer from you, you could only shake your head as you turned to leave, passing Johnny on the way out.
"Did you finally say it?" Johnny said when he saw Ten standing alone in the living room.
"No, dumbass." Ten stomped to his room.
---
It has been almost two weeks since you basically broke up with Ten. You missed him, he was your best friend but you had come to the realization that you needed more and what you had with him was keeping you from getting that. But even now, you still felt something was missing. Rather, an even bigger piece of you felt like it was missing.
"How are things with-" Jaehyun started but Johnny shushed him. "It's just… we haven't seen-" Johnny shushed him again but this time, Johnny threw a pillow at him to get his point across.
Ten glared at both of them. He was trying not to blame Johnny for what happened because it really was his own fault. He missed you but he was afraid to be the one to admit it and show up on your doorstep when you were the one that chose not to see him anymore.
They all sat in awkward silence as no one knew what to talk about with Ten in this mood. A knock broke the silence and they all stared at each other in panic to try and decide who should answer. Eventually, Johnny groaned and went to open the door as no one had moved for a minute.
"Oh, it's you uh hi." He opened the door to reveal you there.
"Hey Johnny, is Ten home?" You say with a weak smile and Johnny suddenly panics.
"Oh? Ten? Yes. Shit, yeah he's here. Ten!" He yelled for his friend.
Ten looked like he had seen a ghost when he saw you standing there. For the first time since you had met him, he didn't know what to say to you and it confused you for a moment. "Hey, can we talk?" You say quietly.
"Yes! Oh my god, yes! Let's uh… my room?" He stutters. You agree and as you walk through the apartment, you acknowledge his roommates with a weak smile as they also suddenly look like they've just seen a ghost. "So what did you want to talk about?" He says nervously. You take a seat in the edge of his bed and he suddenly feels the urge to kiss you but he has to fully restrain himself.
"I just missed my best friend." You shrug.
"I missed you too." He says, taking a seat next to you. He felt at peace in that moment but there was an elephant in the room that both of you needed to address. You both tried to speak at the same time but ended up in a burst of laughter, a sound you missed, you felt tears welling up in your eyes. "Hey, what's going on?" He notices your sudden change in mood and grabs your hand.
"I don't know. I wanted space from you because it didn't feel right anymore but that just made me feel even more lonely. But then I started thinking that maybe things weren't right with us because I thought-" you started speaking but you stopped when you realized you couldn't put your thoughts into proper words.
"It's okay, I get it." He drew circles on your hand like he always did to calm you down.
"I want us to go back to the way we used to be but not really, you know?" You say desperately.
"I know." He assures you. "We can just be normal friends." He smiles, trying to comfort you.
"That's not what I want either…" you look down, trying to avoid crying.
Ten is also confused as he's unsure of how to make things better for you. Returning to his usual instincts, he pulled you into his lap and wrapped his arms around you. Engulfing you in his presence and allowing you to feel small and vulnerable, you began to cry.
"I love you." He said into your temple.
"I love you too." You respond but he shakes his head and angles your head up to look into your eyes.
"No, baby. I love you," he emphasizes, "You are my best friend and so much more. Please let me be more for you." He says as tears form in his own eyes.
"I would love that." Your lips quiver as you throw your arms around him.

I hope you’re doing well ❤️❤️ My entire hobby is just reading your works, and with a lawyer prompt, my life is complete. I hope this one isn’t too strange but this prompt: “That asshole better stop fucking with my client or else I’m gonna…” with a younger brother! Mark. Cause I also can’t read romantic pairing with members younger than ‘96.
Okay so I took some time to think this one up. Sorry. But I finally got something that works and I had fun with it. I do hope you like this, sibling Mark was just so fun to write. I have a sibling myself and I really tried to channel the very unique and weird relationship siblings can have sometimes. Let me know how it is!
_
“This is nice.” Mark turned in his chair, looking around. “You have an office now. Windows and everything.” He turned back, pointing his chopsticks behind her— at the windows.
“You’re dropping rice on my desk, Mark.” She clicked her tongue, eyeing the papers spread all over the wooden surface. “I have to send these papers over to a partner, please try not to leave fried rice stains on my investigation. Someone might end up in prison because a drop of soy sauce hid an extra zero on the paper or something.” She groaned.
Mark nodded, reaching up to brush away the piece of egg that fell on the table. “Stress is bad for your skin. Is that why you look so shiny?” He cocked his head, taking a better look.
"Is that a compliment?" She snorted.
"I was trying to say 'oily' but nicer."
“Fuck off asshole." Mark laughed out loud at the look on her face, "I’ve just been eating a lot of take out at the office for dinner. I don’t need flawless skin, I need to make sure this case isn’t stolen from me.” She grumbled before clicking her tongue. “Anyway, how are your classes going? Are you bored of living in the dorms yet? Want to move in with me?”
“I’m not travelling an hour everyday, no offense. I’ll come stay over this weekend if you want.” He offered, making her scoff.
“You sound like you’re the one doing me a favour.” A piece of meat fell from her chopsticks onto her skirt. She looked down with a pout, picking up the piece and eyeing the small stain it left with pity.
“I am doing you a favour. We both know you just want someone to talk to.” Mark laughed.
“What I want.” She frowned, looking back at Mark, “Is to spend time with my only baby brother. But apparently Law School has made him ungrateful.” She huffed.
“Law School made you a bitch.” He pointed out.
She gasped, sitting up with clear indignation on her face. “That makes the two of us. You bitch!”
“Runs in the family?” Mark shrugged.
“I didn’t ask you to have lunch with me so you can just insult me.” She grumbled again
“Why did you call me all the way to your firm just to feed me chinese take out? The dining hall on campus has better food than this.” He spooned more rice into his mouth.
“Just shut up and eat your rice, Mark.”
“Why are you in such a bad mood?” Mark laughed.
“Am not.” She huffed, choking on the egg roll she tried to eat at the same time.
The door swung open, making Mark turn back. He dropped some more food on the papers on her table and she groaned in the middle of coughing.
“Oh, sorry. I didn’t know you had a meeting.” The man at the door said, walking into the room anyway.
Mark turned back to her to raise a brow and she gave him the clear exasperated look that said: 'don’t ask’.
“No, I’m not having a meeting. This is my brother, Mark.” She pointed at him. Mark turned back to the guy to give him a wave.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me too, (Y/N)?” The man grinned at her.
“No. What do you want?” She put her box of noodles aside reluctantly.
“Just came to ask for the list of witnesses that need to be interviewed for the white collar crime thingy.” He waved his wrist.
“Why?” She sat up in her chair.
“There are so many people to interview so I offered my help on the case.” He shrugged.
“No?” She scoffed, “Get out of my office please.”
“I told my partner I’m working on this, (Y/N). She wants the billables on this long investigation and I want a promotion.” He scoffed.
“You don’t even know the name of the company we're investigating!” She crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“Give me the list and It’ll be mentioned on top. Wow, how convenient for all of us. We both get promotions and you get to have my infectious personality in your presence for the span of this case.” He gave her a convincing smile that looked desperate.
“Get out of my office, Jaehyun.” She deadpanned.
He laughed, giving her a nod. He ran his tongue over his teeth, the gesture looking like it could signal irritation. “I’m going to come back again after my meeting.” He pointed at her with conviction. He turned back to Mark, giving him a bright smile. “It was nice to meet you, Mark.” He gave him a single nod before leaving.
Mark turned back, “Uhh.” He buffered out loud, “He seems nice? Has dimples.” Mark nodded, not finding anything else to say.
“That asshole better stop fucking with my client or else I’m going to lace his hell coffee with enough laxatives to give an elephant a miscarriage." She snapped her chopsticks in half.
Mark winced, eyeing the shattered pine sticks with sympathy. "How bad is this coffee?" He looked up, squinting. He forgot to wear his glasses again, Mark remembered with sinking disappointment.
"Awful." She gagged. "A new intern once mixed up our orders, so I got his engine oil coffee and he got my very nice black tea."
"Engine oil. Yuck." Mark shook his head, "I don't know why people drink coffee." He groaned.
"Me neither." She shook her head, reaching into the bag the food came in to take out another pair of chopsticks. "I took a few reluctant sips because I was cold and my heart was pounding the entire day. Why would people drink something so horrible everyday?" She shivered.
"Masochism." Mark said seriously.
She hummed, "That explains Jeong Jaehyun." She watched her door while she broke the chopsticks into two. Mark shivered.
_
Send me a prompt from the list and a member and I'll write a drabble.
