Hello! I came here after reading your fics and I want to say I'm a fan of your writing. I like both the Eye(Spots) and Son of Al-Ahmar series ^^ After reading your most recent fic, I'm curious about Alhaitham's dendromancy and anemomancy. I assume he can do those w/o a vision? So does that mean his vision is fake?
Hi there!! First off thank you so much for reading my fics?? Will repeat this to the end of time but thank you thank you thank you so much!!!?!??!!! (<- is enthusiastic about the prospect of other people enjoying their works)
Okay so I've spent one too many time thinking about this and also this is very much a headcanon that applies specifically to fics under Child of Al-Ahmar since I can write Eye(spots) in a way that could suggest that he is very much just a Normal Human with floating eyes made out of glass panes
Short answer: I'm still unsure as to if I wanna go the Mona route and say that the Vision was a sort of side effect of coming into contact with an empty vision casing after having mastered using an element without one, or if I wanna go the Archon-in-Hiding route and say the Vision is a fake
Longe answer: A lot of explanation is required. Ramblings start now my friend. Hope you are ready
So the dendromancy and anemomancy. This actually came about because I was unsure whether or not Visions had existed as a thing in Teyvat during the time he would have been alive. I was unsure about this because a couple friends and I went down a sort of crackpot-ish train of thought and several hours, a few lore videos, and one discord call later, we sort of had this theory that visions may have started appearing after the first instance of forbidden knowledge.
This is entirely crackpot and I am not sure if this has basis but I think there's an ashikai video that mentions something about visions not being a thing in a certain part of teyvat's history I'm not sure
Anyways, for my sanity and also to spice it up for myself a little bit, I made it so that yes Al Haitham could control dendro and anemo without a vision. I think mayhaps he focused more on dendro cause of Rukkhadevata's (rip) influence over his studies but since Al-Ahmar (who is rather heavily implied to have been a wielder of anemo, being called a god of the skies and the likes) is his father.
Maybe Al Ahmar would have put some sort of natural anemomancy into the bodies he made for him (but then that goes into the territory of that even being possible and while yes I could have lookef to scara for this query I am unsure if the lightning powers he had in the AQ were a thing Ei had given his body or if they were a thing from the gnosis and a lot of other questions between how haitham and scara would've worked and their differences because of the intent they were designed with and oh wow I am getting off topic)
So now, the question: Is Al-Haitham's vision fake?
The answer depends, although I'm leaning more onto it being fake
I'm gonna explain the possibility that his Vision is real first, just bear with me for a little bit
So you know how in Mona's character stories, she says that she didn't need a vision to do hydromancy and that she only received a vision because she came in contact with a pre-existibg, empty one? Yeah.
Now I know for Mona it only involved a single element but as we know in Child of Al Ahmar, Haitham is noted as using two of them so for my sake I assumed that, in this scenario, the Vision would pick based on the elemental prominence that certain element would have versus the other one within that person's body/spirit. Please tell me if this makes sense I would be happy to explain more if needs be
Anyways, if we go over to saying that his Vision is fake, that involves less thinking and less Implications do it makes more sense. The problem, I guess with even both of these possibilities is that if he was seen using anemo then he qould be questioned and that brings in the Implications of wielding multiple elements with only one vision and the stuff. I know there's that thing with Kazuha but that is another can of worms and that one involved two visions so that doesn't really apply in this situation
(Also I have this absoutely buckwild piece of crack that explains to me some things and that is if Visions only started appearing after the first leak of Forbidden Knowledge (aka the days when Al Ahmar died) then maybe people who were masters of certain elements/had high amounts of elemental energy in them, then they didn't need to be given Visions immediately. This can apply to scenarios where Haitham's vision is either real or fake)
Uhh anyways thank you for listening to me ramble. I think its easier on the brain to say that Haitham's Vision is fake and he's just good at hiding the fact but if you are a fan of The Implications then you can say that the Vision is real and maybe something similar to Xiao's vision situation
I may be able to explore the concept of visions in Child of Al Ahmar if I get on with the idea to do a fic centered on Al Haitham adjusting to Rainforest lifestyle (and also maybe identity shenanigans cause I mean in this au he's lived for maybe thousands of years, identity shit is bound to happen) except the transition period is really hard for me somehow? You gotta do timelines and honestly with Genshin's timeline being as it is, tis a very foreboding task
Thank you again!!! Probably took a bit of your time to read this rambling explanation but I hope you don't mind ^^
#viv.txt#the mailbox#genshin#genshin impact#alhaitham#al haitham#viv.ramblings#yknow if the goddess of flowers was a dendro user then maybe al ahmar could've also added a slight natural affinity for dendro#another thing of possible similarities to a mother you've never met#please do ignore the typos it is.. 1 in the morning and my dad wants us to go simbang gabi at 330#goodnight#son of deshret

Friends With Benefits (Jeff Wittek Imagine) Part 11
Summary: Jeff and Y/N have been hooking up for a while. The whole vlog squad assumes theyâre dating and Y/N does too but Jeff doesnât like labels. He eventually starts to express interest in Natalie.
Note: Planning on making this a multiple part series, depending on how good it does. Â Youâre 21 & Latina in this (maybe) series. Also, Iâd like to apologize for the typos, if there is any. Iâm just illiterate lmao. Â
Side note: Sorry it took me over a week to post this! I just started my last semester of college and I also have a part time job, so Iâve been super tired. Iâll try to be more consistent.

Christmas Eve 12/24/2019
Y/n: *Wakes up and stares at Jeff peacefully sleeping*
Jeff: *moans*
Y/n: *looks down and notices Jeff has a boner* Hmmm *gently rubs the swollen tip of Jeffâs cock*
Jeff: *thrusts into y/nâs hand*
Y/n: *Smirks and quietly gets out of bed to lock the door* *Pulls Jeffâs boxerâs down and sees his cock slap against his abs* *Softly licks the base of his Jeffâs cock all the way to the tip and sucks the head*
Jeff: *moans* mmm fuck.
Y/n: *You use the entirety of your palms and fingers with just how big and long he is. You hum greedily as you do this*
Jeff: *wakes up and smirks* I guess itâs a very Merry Christmas to me.
Y/n: I can suck on your cock all day daddy *winks*
Jeff: *groaning at how fast youâre going* F-fuck baby the way youâre moaning. Youâre gonna kill me *bucks his hips*
Y/n: Shhh, I don't want them to know Iâm sucking your cock ;) *continues to deepthroat feeling him twitch*
Jeff: Oh my fucking god baby yesss. Fuck me, fuck me, over and over. I swear Iâd be fucking you every nigh- JESUS FUCK *cums inside her mouth*
Y/n: *swallows and sucks his cock clean* That was a great way to start Christmas.
Jeff: *laughs* Me cumming in you?
Y/n: *smirks* Mhmmm, I love it when youâre in me ;)
Jeff: What time is it?
Y/n: Itâs 7:42am. I think your mom is already up cooking.
Jeff: Well if you want to see the Christmas parade at 11 w/ Jonahâs family, round 2 in the shower has to be a quickie.
Y/n: *looks down at his cock* Youâre still hard? You just came a bunch in my mouth.
Jeff: Iâm always hard for you babe *winks*
*After the Christmas Parade*
Suzie: I loved the parade! New York is so pretty during Christmas.
Vardon: Christmas is also more fun w/ snow.
Jonah: Guys it was fucking freezing outside.
Y/n: It was only 38 degrees.
Jeffâs mom: Oh good you guys are back. Marie (Jonahâs mom) and I are almost done with the food.
Jeff: Ma youâve been cooking since like 6am. Have you had a break?
Jeffâs mom: We also did some last minute shopping/ gift wrapping. Everybody gets to open one present today and the rest tomorrow.
Y/n: You guys open presents tomorrow?
Jeffâs dad: Yeah, doesnât everybody?
Y/n: Well in the Hispanic/ Latinx community, we call today Hispanic Christmas. So we open our presents today and then we spend the 25th stuffing our faces in left overs. We open on the 24th cause weâre too impatient and yes, we know Jesus was born on the 25th.
Jeff: Maybe we can do that w/ the girls next year.
Jeffâs mom: *tears up* Oh god youâre going to have daughterâs next year.
Jeff: Maaaa donât cry again.
Y/n: Oh we are definitely doing hispanic christmas. If my sister comes over, sheâd want to open the presents like a week before. Sheâs the most impatient. One year, she opened presents at like 3-4pm.
Jeffâs mom: Iâm such a cry baby. Now help me set up the table!
*everybody helps set the plates and food*
Jeffâs dad: does anybody want to start the prayer?
Jeff: Iâll do it.
Karyn: Really? The last time you did it was Easter 2005 and you couldnât stop laughing.
Jeffâs mom: Karyn.
*everybody holds hands*
Jeff: oh Heavenly Father, thank you for all that youâve brought us. I know that Christmas is about you but Iâd like to say thanks. Thank you for keeping everybody here in good health because I donât know where Iâd be w/ out them. Iâm grateful for the supportive family and friends you have given me and most importantly, y/n. I know we were very rocky until recently but you brought her into my life for a reason. She was changing me into a better person and I was too stubborn to accept it. Now sheâs going to be the mother of my 2 amazing daughters. Those babies already have me wrapped around their fingers and theyâre not even here yet. I canât wait for the day y/n and I get married and have however many babies you give us but donât make it twins each time cause thatâs gonna make my hair gray fast
Jeffâs mom: Jeffrey-
Jeff: okay Iâm just kidding⊠kind of but you know what I mean. Thank you for everything youâve done for me and the rest of my family. Amen.
Everybody: Amen
Jeffâs dad: Hun are you crying?
Y/n: *sniffles her nose* NO. MaybeâŠ. I wouldn't have thought Jeff was religious.
Karyn: Only during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Jeffâs Dad: Karyn stop teasing your brother. Now that the prayer is over with, letâs eat!
Jeffâs mom: Marie and I spent all morning cooking. Also, since this is y/nâs first Christmas w/ us, I wanted to bring some of the food she eats during the holidays.
Y/n: What food?
Jeffâs mom: *shows the Pernil* (pernil is pork shoulder)
Y/n: NO YOU DIDNâT *tastes the food* AND IT TASTES JUST LIKE OUT MY DAD MAKES IT. How did you make it?!
Jeff: She asked me a couple of days ago what you eat during the holidays and I found your sister on instagram. I got the recipe from her.
Jeffâs mom: I saw that it was a Puerto Rican dish so I asked one of my friends who knows how to make it to show me the steps.
Y/n: Oooo imma try not to cry again but THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Jonah: Can we eat now
After Dinner
Y/n: I ate so much, I think Iâm having triplets. But thank you once again. I was pretty nervous to come here because I didnât know how yâall would react to me.
Karyn: Just know that when we get mad, itâs at Jeff cause heâs always the one that somehow messes up.
Jeff: What time is it?
Suzie: Itâs 7pm. Should we watch Christmas movies and then open presents before bed?
Vardon: Letâs watch the Grinch
Jonah: *ignores Vardon* Any other suggestions? Please. ANY OTHER.
Karyn: Y/n what do you watch for Christmas.
Y/n: Well, my personal favorite is Jingle all the Way but the Christmas Line up in my family is usually Home Alone 2, A Divaâs Christmas Carol, A Very Brady Christmas, the I Love Lucy Christmas episode and otherâs I canât remember.
Jeff: I mean, we are in New York. Home Alone 2?
Everybody: Sure.
*After watching Christmas movies*
Jeffâs mom: Itâs 9:45pm. I think we should be opening our one present before we go to bed.
Jeff: Youngest to oldest! So my niece goes first, then Vardon, Y/n, Suzie, Jonah, etc.
*Jeffâs nieces and Vardon opens their gifts*
Vardon: No way. Jeff got me airpods! Thank you *Hugs Jeff*
Jeff: Youâre welcome. Now time for y/n to open her gift from me.
Y/n: Oooo okay. *opens gift and sees two little gold bracelets* what are these for?
Jeff: I always see babies w/ the small little charm bracelet. You mentioned your sister and you never got that from your parents but your older brother did. I wanted to do that for our girls even though they're not here yet. So once we pick out the names, weâll get the charms.
Y/n: *sniffles* Dammit why do you keep making me cry.
Jeff: Cause I donât want you to ever forget how much I love you.
Jonah: Can we move on from this sappy shit so I can open my gift.
Everybody: JONAH.
*After everybody opens their presents*
Y/n: Thank you so much for accepting me on such short notice.
Jeffâs mom: Hun weâre family now. Youâll always be a part of us. Same for the Antonyans. We know how much Jeff misses having us around since heâs been living in LA and yâall have been a family to him.
Jonahâs mom: I love Jeff like he my own son. He help us so much.
Jeffâs Dad: Yâall just have to make sure to visit us often. Getâs kind of lonely here w/ Karyn living in Kentucky, Jeff living in LA. I mean Steven lives in the city w/ his kids but we miss having all of you together here.
Jeff: Iâm starting to think that having girls runs in the family. Karyn has a daughter, Steven has twin girls and now Iâm gonna have twin girls.
Jeffâs mom: I mean you never know if the nurse made a mistake. They thought your brother was a girl for half my pregnancy. Then they did the last ultrasound a week before I gave birth to him and they said he was a boy.
Y/n: Oh god I donât even want to think about that. Iâm already stressed out about the babies possibly being deaf now I gotta be worried if the nurse misgendered themâŠ.
Karyn: The babies are gonna be deaf?
Y/n: Hmm?
Jeffâs dad: You just said thereâs a possibility the twins will be born deaf.
Y/n: Fuck. I did say that, didn't I⊠Jeff, you wanna help me out here?
Jeff: Ummm. Damn we werenât planning on telling anybody this for a couple of weeks. We got a call a couple of days ago after we did some genetic testing and the doctor said the babies have a high chance of being born hard of hearing/ deaf.
Karyn: My doctors told me the same thing. Luckily my daughter turned out fine
Steven: I wasnât a carrier for the geneâŠ
Jeffâs mom: Weâll love those babies no matter what. If we have to learn sign language for them, then weâd do it. Iâll fly out to LA once it gets close to the due date to help out.
Jeff: Thanks ma. Means a lot.
Y/n: Thank you so much. I donât know if my own parents would forgive me by then to be there for the birth.
Jeffâs mom: Anytime sweetheart. My god look at the time, Itâs 10:15, we have to go to bed before Santa comes.
Jonah: Haha, but santa isn-
Jeff: Jonah you better better not finish that sentence cause my nieces are here and I donât wanna see the magic ruined for them.
Jonah: What I was saying was, isn't Santa a little late?⊠He shouldâve been here by nowâŠ
Going to bed
Y/n: I am so stuffed. Christmas turned out a lot better than I thought.
Jeff: See, you had nothing to be afraid about. Also, good job on keeping the deaf thing a secret haha.
Y/n: Hey! Itâs been on my mind since we found out. WAIT. Jonah and Suzie.
Jeff: What about them?
Y/n: they were thereâŠ. What if they tell everybody else.
Jeff: Suzie would never⊠Jonah on the other hand⊠I have little faith in him.
Y/n: Iâm afraid to check my phone.
Jeff: Same. I haven't looked at it all day. On the count of 3âŠ
Y/n: OneâŠ.
Jeff: Two.
Y/n & Jeff: Three. *looks at phones*
Y/nâs phone: 82 text messages & 24 missed calls
Jeffâs phone: 77 text messages & 21 missed calls
Vlog Squad GC
David: Was what Jonah said true?
Natalie: Is it serious?
Jason: Yâall Iâm so sorry
Zane: There has to be a way to fix it. My babies will be okay right?
Erin: Iâll postpone my wedding until the babies are okay
Carly: Oh no Carly and Erin jr :(
Corinna: The babies are gonna be deaf?
Mariah: Is it confirmed?
Heath: Have yâall seen other doctors?
Matt: Guys theyâre busy. I donât think we should be spamming them on Christmas.
Toddy: Weâll stop one they answer us!
David: Iâll put in whatever money you need for surgeries or anything.
Jason: Guys stop. Theyâll tell us everything once theyâre ready.
(end of conversation)
Jeff: Iâm gonna kill Jonah.
Y/n: Oh hun, so will IâŠ
The next chapter might take a bit because Iâm still thinking what will be in it. You guys can give be suggestions and I can give you credit for it!

~*1*~
When Peter crossed the threshold into the Stark mansion, the first image that etched itself into his mind was the painting that hung in the foyer. It was massive; nearly covering a two-story wall from ceiling to floor. Adorned with an ornate frame, it stood out from its modern surroundings â partially due to the happy visage of Howard Stark and the even happier young Tony â but mainly due to the large white sheet draped over half of the frame. Peter could tell from the gentle feminine hand placed atop the young Tony's shoulder that it was his mother, Maria Stark, who was obscured. It was hard to fathom â covering a painting in such a blatant way â but watching Tony completely ignore it was even harder. The image was so ingrained that the impact Peter felt was nothing more than a diluted normalcy to Tony.
So Peter didn't bring it up. Instead, he made small talk about the twelve car garage and the unbelievable size of the chandelier that hung in the dining room. He remarked about the mansionâs eerie spotlessness; a feeling like no one lived there or, as Tony clarified, like a dozen house staff maintained the property. He chatted about the practically untouched furniture and how the polished marble tiles squeaked beneath their sneakers, echoing against the high ceilings, as they hurried to the lab.Â
âAre you sure weâre allowed to be here, Tones?â Peter asked, each new step into the mansion scratching at his latent anxieties.
âDefinitely not but that just makes it more fun, doesnât it, baby?âÂ
Tony delivered the line with a heap of charm and that signature bad boy grin. He was so nonchalant, never bothered and always teasing. Sometimes Peter couldnât believe he was dating the infamous bad boy; the fearsome fighter; the unhinged delinquent; Tony â fucking â Stark. Yet, in their six amazing months as a couple, Peter has had the pleasure of seeing him more as the remarkable genius, the hilarious car singer, and the loyal friend. Sure, Tony was a bad boy through and through but Peter had given him the space to be anything other than that and, so far, they were thriving because of it.
âMaybe itâs more fun for you, but Iâm stressed. Iâm anxious. Iâm-â Peter was stunned into silence when Tony ushered him into the lab. The workspace was a sharp contrast to the rest of the house. It was cluttered; multiple workbenches and desks scattered with complex machinery and technological marvels. âIâm in heaven.â Peter sighed dreamily.
Tony laughed, leaning close, whispering in Peterâs ear a very flirty, âI know something else that could take you to heaven.â
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
âTony!â Peter giggled, jumping away from his boyfriend, his face flushed pink. âWeâre in your dadâs lab !â His laughter trailed off as he wandered the room. His nerd senses were on overdrive and his attention to everything else was waning in the face of all the robotic spectacles and hologram capabilities.Â
âYouâre right.â Tony threw his hands up in surrender. âWouldnât want to get caught in here.â
âExactly,â Peter nodded, brows furrowing in focus as he examined a circuit board that seemed to be forgotten in a pile of desk clutter. âAre you sure your dad isnât coming home any time soon?â
âIâm sure enough." Tony smiled, stepping forward to hook his arm around Peterâs shoulders. âBut letâs stay focused, sweetheart. I promise Iâll show you around more next time.â
âOkay,â Peter pouted, ditching the circuit board and falling out of his tech-obsessed trance, allowing Tony to lead him to the large hologram screen at the center of the room.Â
âPlus, we have that thing at your place later,â Tony said as he began navigating the screen with small flicks of his hand. âI just need to find one thing on this computer and then we can go to the... what exactly did Auntie call it again?â
âOur six month anniversary dinner extravaganza,â Peter punctuated each word with grand hand gestures, all coated in sarcasm. âCatered by chef May ,â Peter joked, mocking his auntâs voice. âWhy she thinks we care about things like that is beyond me.â
âOh?â Tony glanced at his boyfriend with a raised brow and a sly smile. âBut I got you a gift, baby.â
âNo, you didnât!â Peter laughed, playfully pushing against Tonyâs shoulder. âYou said weâd celebrate a year. You said that.â He paused, eyebrows momentarily knitting in concern, âWait, you didnât actually get me something, did you?â
âAnd what if I did?â
âI would obviously fall into an empty-handed panic.â Peter feigned terror, emphasizing his jest by throwing a dramatic hand against his forehead before letting his expression drop into a small pout. âBut, really, did you get one?â
âMaybe, maybe not, but itâs not like I need a gift in return.â Tony stopped searching the console, glancing at Peter with suggestive eyes. âYou can just let me fuck the lights out of my virgin boyfriend and we'll call it even.â
âTony! Oh my-â Peter blushed, covering his face and laughing into his hands as the embarrassment bubbled within him. âO-Okay, first of all, MJ says virginity is a construct.â
âAnd as usual, sheâs right,â Tony joined the laughter, shaking his head as his focus drifted back to the computer. âVirginity is a construct â and with all the shit weâve done, calling you a virgin just wouldnât do that mouth justice, sweetheart â but still, it doesnât stop me from wanting to fuck you until youâre a mess.â
Peter froze, his cheeks going a deeper red at his boyfriendâs candid words and his mind running through memories of their most fervent makeout sessions. Like the time Tony used Peterâs mouth â just fucking used it however he wanted. Or the time he naively wondered how his boyfriend managed to last for so long and Tony proceeded to edge him for an hour. And Peter still got goosebumps whenever he thought about that time in Tonyâs backseat when he first learned what frotting was. Fuck , he could go on forever but the soft touch of his boyfriendâs hand smoothing through his hair pulled his focus.
âI know weâre joking and shit but- will you...or I mean, do you want to?â
And Peter could tell by the way Tony averted his eyes, speaking so nervous and low, that the question was serious. So, for a moment, he considered if this was the right time to say yes; if this was the right time to go all the way. Yet, he struggled with that phrase â that right time and the inherent importance it somehow held. As if sex was a special frontier that he needed to cross with care. It was strange because although this type of sex was new, being sexual was not; being close to Tony was not; being intimate was not. There were far more important milestones to worry about, so why was his heart thrumming so loud at the mere thought of answering?
âOkay,â Peter finally spoke, solidifying his answer with a smile and a nod. âHow about during the break? I-Is that okay?â
âWait, for real?â Tony perked up, his expression beaming. âI mean, no pressure, baby. You donât actually have to if you donât want to, but if you want to â like really fucking want to, not some my-boyfriend-wants-to-so-I-want-to bullshit â then yes. Hell yes. The break is fucking perfect. Itâs-â
âOkay, donât get too excited,â Peter giggled, leaning against Tonyâs shoulder and breathing in the older boyâs scent to calm his nerves. âI want to, so Iâll have to p-prep and stuff, but yeah- last day of school is in two days so weâll have time this weekend to â I donât know â focus on it, or I mean- um... fuck , talking about it like this is weird.â
Tony pressed a kiss to the top of Peterâs head, âFirst rule of fucking: Donât do any fucking until you can actually talk about fucking.â
âGood tip,â Peter crossed his arms and grinned. âShould I credit Pepper or Bruce for that one?â
âWow, excuse you,â Tony shook his head, mirroring Peterâs grin. âIt was actually Rhodey. His dad taught him about sex stuff and he taught me.â His smile faded then, âI mean, itâs not like my old man would teach me anything about that shit anyway.â
Peterâs expression fell solemn, âThe important thing is that you learned it, right?â He slipped a gentle hand underneath Tonyâs leather jacket, rubbing comforting circles into the small of his back. âIf it makes you feel any better, ever since we started dating, May wonât shut up about safe sex. Every morning, when Iâm trying to have a peaceful breakfast, sheâs there talking about condoms or lube or â oh my god â âanal cleanlinessâ and Iâm just mortified in front of my cheerios.â
âGlad to hear Auntie has been advocating for me to get my dick wet.â
âOh god,â Peter shook his head, gripping his sides from laughter. âDo not say Auntie and dick wet in the same sentence!â
Tony laughed, âI was just- oh shit, hold up, I found it,â Tony focused on the screen, quickly moving to transfer the file to his phone.Â
Peter leaned in to get a closer look, âFound what exactly?â
âThe file I need to upgrade Jarvis.â
âWait, why do you need your dadâs file to upgrade Jarvis?â
âItâs less of an upgrade and more of a key... well, itâs not really that either,â Tony explained. âMy dad has this elaborate dynamic encryption protecting the Stark Industries file system and, where Jarvis is right now, he doesnât have the processing power to brute force the encryption before a new key is set.â
âOh!â Peter joyfully interrupted, âAnd this file will give Jarvis access to the encryption key, which would, in theory, give you access every time the encryption algorithm changes to a new key.â
âFuck, baby, you really know how to turn a guy on.â Tony playful bit his lip and wiggled his eyebrows at Peter.
âTony!â Peter blushed, rolling his eyes with a smile. âSeriously.â
âSorry, couldnât help it,â Tony laughed, turning his attention back to the downloading file. âBut youâre almost right. This file is the encryption algorithm so by having Jarvis learn this, he should be able to learn not only how to break in, but also how to predict any improvements made to it.â
âSo youâll never be locked out of Stark Industries again.â
âThatâs the plan.â
âNow thatâs something to get turned on about.â
Tony raised his brow and turned towards Peter, placing a gentle hand on the younger boyâs hips. âAm I making you hot and bothered, sweetheart?â
âMaybe a little,â Peter softly spoke, bracing himself on Tonyâs arms as he was hoisted up onto a desk. âWhat are you going to do about it?â
âWhat am I not going to do?â Tony playfully whispered as he stepped between Peterâs knees, wrapping his arms around Peterâs svelte frame, pulling their chests together and closing the gap between their lips.
Whenever they kissed, Peter was reminded of their first. He was reminded of how nervous he was; how bashful; how shaky. Sitting in his bedroom with his face cupped in Tonyâs hands, feeling that heated closeness and the warm breath tickling his lips. Their first kiss was tender, slow, and full of emotion. It was so different from the kiss they shared now.
This kiss was frantic and hungry, filled with emotion but fueled by lust. Their lips crashing together like being apart was agony and their hands exploring every inch of exposed flesh, just aching to dip beneath hems and seams. Peter had gained confidence in kissing, even when open-mouthed and graced by tongue. Threading his fingers through Tony's hair had become commonplace and moaning into Tony's mouth was a thoughtless eventuality. A few months ago, he would have cringed at the thought of making such needy sounds but now, he reveled in it.Â
Not a lot made him nervous these days. His stutter was practically gone and his skittish nature seldom made an appearance. Something about facing his bullies head-on just changed him. He was the picture of courage, dauntless and bold, the most fearlessâŠ
Oh fuck. Peter was dragged from his thoughts by the electric sensation of Tonyâs hand on his nipple, pinching and rubbing at the tender nub as the kiss became rougher. Tony tugged Peterâs bottom lip through his teeth, pleasantly groaning at the satisfied expression on the younger boy's face.
Peter gasped, dipping his head down to hide his surely flushed cheeks and clutching at Tonyâs leather sleeves like they were the ground that kept him from short-circuiting. âT-Tony, th-that um - thatâs-â
âWhat is it, baby?â Tony gave a smug grin, bringing a hand up beneath Peterâs jaw, gradually squeezing as he guided Peterâs gaze to his. âGo on, tell me.â
And all Peter could do was whine, shakily and through a strained breath. The lightheaded rush of being choked and the mere presence of Tonyâs touch making him bulge in his jeans. His hands trembled where they grasped and his eyes yearned for more. So Tony gave a final hard squeeze before pulling his hand away, opting to grab a handful of Peterâs curls. âI asked you a question, sweetheart.â
âT-Tony, I-Iâm- um ...i-itâs-â Peter stuttered, falling back into his nerves like they were never really gone. âItâs g-good.â
âThere you are,â Tony whispered, a mischievous smile working its way to his lips as he grazed his fingertips against the hardness just beyond Peterâs zipper. âAll nervous and cute just for me.â
The only response Peter could muster was a high-pitched Mhmm and a slight pull on Tonyâs sleeves, making the older boy lean in for another kiss â and holy shit was it a really fucking good kiss.
So good that the Jarvis alert was background noise and the click of the door handle was their first indicator that Tonyâs dad had arrived. The sound made Tonyâs shoulders go rigid as he recoiled away from Peter, quickly closing the hologram console before glaring at the door with tension in his eyes.Â
Howard stepped into the room, dressed in slacks and a button-up shirt with rolled sleeves and a loose tie. His face was cast in a five oâclock shadow. His eyes were dark â darker than each swig of whiskey from the glass he cradled in his left hand. âSo this is your newest boy toy, Anthony?â He shook his head, âIâve got to say, Iâm underwhelmed by this one.â
â Donât call him that.â Tony practically growled, his voice taut and his tone a bit deeper.
This was the first time Peter has ever seen Tony and his dad interact. It was shocking â petrifying, really â enough to kill all arousal and compel him to absolute silence.Â
Tony was seething, even more than usual, but Howard just laughed, short and belittling, âOf course, you would be more passionate about a slut like this than the company. Predictable as ever, Anthony.â
âFuck you,â Tony spoke through clenched teeth.Â
And from his place at Tonyâs side, Peter could tell that the older boyâs knuckles were starting to lose color from how tightly he balled his fists. He could see that Tony was shaking beneath that leather like a boiling pot, brimming with fury and rage. He knew that Howardâs spiteful baiting was bound to make that anger boil over.Â
Howard audibly tsked, downing the remaining whiskey in one large swig. And for a moment, the room was still, filled only with the sound of breath and the tick of a clock, when suddenly, it wasnât. Howard spiked the glass against the floor. The shattering glass and subsequent splay of shards against tile cut through the lab and shook Peter to his very core. The erratic behavior eroding any doubt Peter held about Howardâs presence; imposing and threatening as it was, like watching a carnivore tear through his dinner.Â
âWhat the fuck did you just say to me?â Howard asked, his voice deep and menacing.Â
And Peter thought that would be it. He thought Tony would boil over with anger, yell at his father for speaking to him like that; for acting like that. He thought Tony wouldnât stand for it.
He was wrong.
âNothing,â Tony shook his head and grabbed Peter by the wrist, radiating a feeling that Peter knew all too well. The fearsome bad boy was scared ; so scared that his hand began to tremble where it gripped; so scared that he started towards the lab doors with Peter in tow. Tony â never lost a fight â Stark was so scared that he was choosing flight and that alone was terrifying.
Without so much as a glimpse in his fatherâs direction, they rushed towards the doors. Nearly there, nearly escaped. Yet, in those few seconds, in those few breaths, in those few strides, Peter learned what made Howard Stark so dangerous.
âAlways a coward, just like your mother.â
Tony flinched, his muscles tensing and his grip tightening on Peterâs wrist. âDonât talk about her like that.â He spoke low, scared but provoked, thrashing in his fatherâs trap.
âLike what? Like the waste of space she was?â Howard scoffed. âAll she did was birth a useless criminal son and left when she couldnât deal with the pressure of raising you.â
And it was like throwing a grenade into a bonfire.
âShe left because of you!â Tony exploded, screaming loud enough to rival the impact of the shattered glass.
Slap!
It was faster than Peter could process but the echo of Howardâs hand connecting with Tonyâs cheek rang in his ears. Fear and anger ricocheted through his body like lightning in a bottle; yet, he could do nothing but watch. Watch how quickly Tony was shaken from his anger like a knife whose edge had dulled. Watch how unapologetic Howard was; how sickeningly pleased he was with Tonyâs prompt obedience. Watch firsthand just how twisted Tonyâs life at home was.
It was silent for a few heartbeats, then Tony gripped Peterâs wrist even harder than before and pulled him out of the lab. Walking with urgency and leaving behind the callous laughter of his father.Â
âTony,â Peter whispered, his fingers feeling prickly as the feeling started to fade from the pressure of Tonyâs hold. âTony, um-â He struggled to speak as he was practically dragged towards the front door. âTony, my hand, youâre-!â He tried pulling against Tonyâs strength but to no avail. So he planted his heels when they reached the foyer and the force of Tonyâs momentum caused them both to trip forward. âTony!â
âWhat the fuck are you doing?!â Tony screamed, grabbing Peter by his upper arm and looking at him with the same frustrated expression that he showed his father. âWe need to fucking go!â
Peterâs eyes went wide, a twinge of fear bubbling in his chest before anger overtook it. âYou were hurting me!â Peter snapped back, yanking his arm away and marching passed Tony, heading towards the car.Â
âI- fuck , Peter, I didnât-â Tony frustratingly ran his hands through his hair, following Peter into the garage.Â
âDonât,â Peter interrupted, raising his palm.
âWhy didnât you just say something?!â Tony yelled, still fuming as he slid into the driverâs seat.Â
âI tried too!â Peter yelled back, slamming the car door on his way in and training his eyes out the window, trying to ignore the tension and the dull pain of the bruise on his wrist. âCan you just drive me home?â
Tony inhaled sharp, âDonât do that.â
âDonât do what?â
âThat-!â Tony stopped himself and took a deep breath, finally dropping his tone. âWhatever.â
âGreat, now youâre whatever-ing me,â Peter mumbled, crossing his arms and gripping his sides in a self-hug. He could feel his emotions in his throat, shaking and threatening to burst, and as he leaned his head against the window, he bit the inside of his lip to keep them at bay.
âIf you donât want to talk, then weâre not going to talk.â
âI never said that I didnât want to talk.â Peter sniffled â fuck , he thought, as a single tear managed to escape. âI-I just donât appreciate you t-taking out your anger on me.â
âIâm not!â Tony snapped again.
Peterâs voice was shaky, âT-Then why are you still yelling?â
âBecause-!â Tony had a vice grip on the steering wheel, his face a blend of anger and fear and regret. âBecause he fucking says shit just to get under my skin and he calls you all these fucked up things and ignores that youâre there and just fucking-â He paused, dropping his forehead against the wheel as well. âI just...â
The sight of Tony struggling made Peterâs heart hurt, but the sound of Tonyâs sadness went beyond it. âYou just?â
âNevermind.â
âNo, Tones. Donât do that. Talk to me. Iâm-â
âDrop it, Peter.â Tony started the car, ending the conversation like Peter stepped on his toes.
Then, they drove in silence. An awkward and deafening kind of silence â filled with the hum of Tonyâs engine and whoosh of the passing scenery â but deafening nonetheless. The peeved energy radiating off of the older boy was familiar but, this time, it wasnât remedied with silly lip-synced rock ânâ roll. No, this was different from those times. Peter couldnât help but feel tense and, despite his best efforts, he couldnât stop the way his body shook beneath that fact.
When they arrived at the apartment, the air in the car was so stifling that stepping out into the evening breeze was jarring. Peter tried on a smile, holding the car door open as he spoke, âAre you still coming in for the dinner thing?â
âNo.â Tony kept his response short with his lips pressed in a hard line and his eyes fixed on the windshield. âSee you at school tomorrow.â
And Peter parted his lips but no words came. So he shut his mouth and the car door, watching from his place on the curb as Tony drove away. For a short while, he stood there, inhaling deep breaths to stave off the tears, but soon, the patter of rain gave him cause to walk inside.Â
The apartment was filled with the savory scent of pizza and the sounds of the evening news. It was warm and bright and there was confetti trailing from the front door to the dining table. Taped to the entryway wall was a sign, printed on multiple sheets of white printer paper, that read â Happy 6-Month Extravaganz â with a sloppy letter âAâ scrawled on a sticky note at the end.Â
And Peter didnât know much more his heart could take.
âHey boys, I ordered pizza! You wouldnât believe the fight I had with the office copy machine! It was-â As May rounded the corner and saw the look on Peterâs face, she paused. âOh, Peter, what happened?â
âNothing,â Peter shook his head. âThis all looks great, thanks Aunt May.â He smiled but even he couldnât deny the feeling of wetness against his cheeks â he blamed the rain.
âHow about some pizza?â May gave a small smile, moving to pull the sign down. âWe can eat and watch some movies together. Howâs that sound?â
âNo, Iâm- Iâm tired and Iâve got- um, homework to finish up,â Peter sniffled, involuntarily using his sleeve to wick away his sadness. âSo Iâm just going to go to my room. Night May.â
~*2*~
âOkay, Iâm just going to say it,â MJ shook her head, tossing her books into her locker, staring her best friend squarely in the face. âYou look like shit.â
And Peter, whose eyes were puffy and whose shoulders were slumped and whose only form of expression came through exasperated sighs, gazed at MJ with tired eyes, âI know.â
âWhat happened, dude?â Ned questioned, slamming his locker closed and moving to put a comforting hand on Peterâs shoulder.
âA lot,â Peter dropped his forehead against his locker. âA lot happened.â
âWant to talk about it?â MJ offered, her eyes shrouded in sympathy.
Peter sighed, slowly shaking his head, âNot even a little.â
âWell, well, what do we have here?â It was Natashaâs voice, like nails being hammered into Peterâs sanity. âWhy so blue? Did your psychotic dog run away?â She laughed, âMaybe for some other twink? Or â what did Loki say? â plaything , right?â
âNat, stop,â Clint grabbed her arm, trying to pull her away from Peterâs group.
âNo,â Natasha resisted, shaking her arm free, a smirk perched on her lips like she was invincible. âDidnât see Tony with you this morning either. Did he get tired of his bitch?â
âNat, fucking chill,â Clint whispered under his breath, trying once again to pull her away. âShe doesnât mean it guys. Weâre sorry. Come on, Nat!â
â Sorry? Iâm not fucking sorry. â Natasha scoffed, âLooks like heâs all alone today, maybe we should text Loki, see what he thinks about that.â
âAre you done?â MJ interrupted, glaring at the pair of bullies with her arms crossed.
âNot talking to you,â Natasha sassed, rolling her eyes at MJ. âIâm talking to bitch boy over here.â
Peter inhaled slow, calming the nerves that sat at the back of his mind. âText them,â He challenged, lifting his forehead from his locker and turning to face Natasha with a bored expression. âDo it. I dare you. Go ahead and see what happens.â
And Natasha, with all of her brazen snark, was taken aback by Peterâs abnormally quick response. âWhatever, youâre not worth my time.âÂ
â Whatever, youâre not worth my time. â Peter mocked, his face unfazed despite the speed of his anxiously racing heart or the force of his grip on the seam in his pocket. âYouâre not worth my time, Red.â
âDude,â Ned held back a laugh, but MJ had no such control; her laughter pulled the attention of curious hallway students, including a guy Peter has never seen before. He was tall and a bit muscular, sporting a denim jacket and staring at Peter with a confidence a bit too reminiscent of Tonyâs. It was weird, like locking eyes with a much more smiley and bright version of Tony. Why was this guy staring at him like that anyway? Peter didnât have the energy to question it; besides, all his attention should be on not getting beat up again.
âNat, stop fucking around, letâs go,â Clint didnât give in this time, placing a firm hand in hers and walking away with her in tow.
âFuck you, bitch. Stark canât protect you forever!â Natashaâs final words, topped off with a flip of her middle finger, as she disappeared down the hall.
Peter gave a relieved sigh, hand over his heart like he narrowly escaped death, âI think Iâm going to pass out.â
âWell, donât,â Ned laughed. âThat was fucking awesome, dude. Very Tony Stark of you.â
âGuess thatâs what happens when you move up the food chain,â MJ joked. âSuck Tony Starkâs dick for protection one time and the whole school becomes your bitch.â
âWe both know heâs sucked that dick more than once,â Ned smirked, bumping his arm against MJâs.
âPlease stop,â Peter rolled his eyes and started towards the lunchroom, âLetâs just go eat.â
MJ laughed, moving to walk beside Peter, âWhere is Tony today anyway?â
âYeah, heâs usually at your locker before lunch starts,â Ned added.Â
âLike I said,â Peter sighed. â A lot happened.â
âOh, okay, fair enough,â MJ shrugged as they entered the lunchroom. âNo further questions.â
âWell, I have a question,â Ned interjected, following behind Peter to the lunch line. âWhat the fuck are we doing for the break?â He posed the question with urgent eyes. âBecause, and I donât want to alarm anyone, but we have got to be the only juniors without spring break plans.âÂ
âOh no, not that.â MJ feigned surprise, her eyes bored and her voice monotonous but not even her eye roll could stop Nedâs enthusiasm.
âOh no is right, MJ! Peter, are your cool friends doing anything?â
âMy cool friends?â Peter squinted as he grabbed a tray and moved down the line, unimpressed by the high school food but too exhausted to complain.
MJ snorted, âHe means the big buff trio.â
Well, even Peter had to smile at that, âYou mean Steve, Sam, and Bucky?â
âMJ, that codename is for private correspondence only,â Ned joked. âBut yeah, have they roped you into any plans yet?â
âI donât know,â Peter shrugged as they exited the line, surveying the lunchroom for Steveâs table and locking eyes with a waving Bucky. âLetâs go ask.â
âWhat?â Nedâs eyebrows flew upward. âYouâre bringing us to sit with Steve Rogers?â
âI guess I am,â Peter gave a small grin. âIâve got to introduce my cool friends to my new friends eventually, right?â
Ned dramatically gasped, âWhen did my best friend become so smooth?â
âHe was always this smooth,â MJ laughed, following Peter to the table.
âHey Peter,â Bucky smiled, gesturing to some empty chairs. âAnd MJ and Ned, right?â
âYeah,â MJ said as she sat. âNice to finally meet you guys.â
âLikewise,â Steve said before shooting Peter a skeptical look. âHey Pete, whereâs Tony?â
âNot sure,â Peter clenched his jaw, biting on the inside of his lip to stave off his lingering emotions, preparing himself to make excuses. âHeâs probably just skipping today. No big deal.â He waved away any hint of sadness, replacing it instead with an over-enthused â and clearly forced â smile. âAnyway, we were talking about spring break, right Ned?â
âRight,â Ned said, blinking a few times before shaking his head. âRight!â He dropped his hands against the lunch table, pulling everyoneâs attention â leave it to him to always have Peterâs back. âSpring break is next week, guys. Do you have any plans?â
âWell, me and the guys usually visit my familyâs beach house,â Steve answered.
âHow big is the house?â MJ asked.
âOh, the house is huge,â Bucky assured. âIf people doubled up in the beds, it could probably sleep like twelve people.â
âDid you guys want to come with us?â Steve offered. âWe could make it a party. Tony could bring his friends too. What do you think, Pete?â
Peter was distracted, idly pushing food around his lunch tray and staring into the abyss of students. His mind wandered through yesterdayâs events, silently wishing they never happened. He wondered where Tony was; where Tony had been all morning. It was like him to skip classes but never lunch. It was the only school period they shared. What was happening?
âPeter!â MJ snapped him from his thoughts. âYou there?â
âO-Oh, what? Sorry, um- what were you-?â
âSpring break party at Steveâs beach house with all of us and Tonyâs crew?â MJ summarized. âThat sound good?â
âYeah, probably,â Peter nodded. âSounds good to me.â
âGreat, then Iâll ask my parents if we can use the house and let you guys know what they say on Friday.â
âThanks, Steve,â Ned excitedly said.
And the conversation went from there. Planning about what food to bring, what alcohol was the best, what games they would play. Some great mingling between mutual friends that Peter was barely present for. He was so in his own head that he didnât realize who was approaching the table.
âHey.â
Peter lifted his head, surprised to find that the voice belonged to the guy from the hallway, who was pulling up a chair to sit beside him. âUm...hey?â
âWhatâs your name, kid?â
âDefinitely not kid .â Peter raised his eyebrow. âWhoâs asking?â
The guy laughed, âMy nameâs Quentin â Quentin Beck â and I saw you, in the hallway, telling that girl off and I knew I needed to introduce myself.â
âWait. That girl? â MJ interrupted, looking just as confused as the rest of the table. âYou donât know who Natasha Romanoff is? Who are you?â
âOh, Iâm new here. Just transferred today. Nice to meet you guys,â Quentin was courteous, making eye contact with each person at the table before focusing his attention solely on Peter. âEspecially you, kid.â
âPeter,â He introduced himself, feeling a bit uneasy with the unfamiliar attention.
âIt suits you,â Quentin gave a bright smile. âYour shirt is also pretty funny.â
Peter furrowed his brow, so unsure about what shirt he threw on today that he had to glance down. Peaking between his unbuttoned plaid shirt was his â if you believe in telekinesis, please raise my hand â t-shirt. A classic. Peter let out a light huff of breath that ended in the smallest of smiles, âThanks. Itâs actually my favorite one.â
Quentin gave a small laugh of his own, looking at Peter with adoration, âSuddenly, itâs my favorite too.â
âU-Um...you look good too,â Peter clumsily reciprocated. âI mean, your jacket is really cool.â
âYouâre really cool,â Quentin shot back with a grin.
âO-kay!â Ned loudly interrupted, clapping his hands together. âLetâs get back to the spring break plans.â
âAgreed,â MJ nodded, staring at Peter with the strongest what-the-fuck-are-you-doing look. âPeter, do you think your boyfriend would mind driving?â
â Boy friend, huh?â Quentin smirked, not looking away from Peter for even a second. âGlad to know weâre teammates, Peter.â
The line made Sam and Bucky burst into laughter. âSteve, you need to take some notes,â Bucky joked, smiling at Steve, who laughed as well.
âAnd you better be careful, new kid,â Sam warned, pointing towards the cafeteria doors. âTony is literally coming this way.â
Peter perked up, surprised to see Tony sauntering towards them. The bad boyâs presence brought the lunchroom to a grinding halt and only when he made it to Peterâs table, did it resume.Â
âMove,â Tony spoke directly to Quentin.
âUm...no,â Quentin snorted, seemingly unbothered. âDonât be a dick. Just get another chair. Iâm talking to Peter.â
Everyone, even Peter, was stunned by Quentinâs blind confidence. Tony, however, was immediately set off. â The fuck? â Tony cursed as he grabbed Quentin by the jacket collar and effortlessly yanked him up from the chair. âIt wasnât a fucking question.â
âT-Tony! Stop,â Peter promptly stood, pulling Tonyâs hand away from the denim. âHe didnât mean it.â
âWhat?â Tony gave Peter an incredulous look. âWho the fuck is this guy to you?â He moved forward, shoving Quentin back a step. It was all the cafeteria crowd needed to be fully tuned in. Enraptured by the actions of the notorious bad boy and what seemed to be his latest target: a very confused Quentin Beck. A second shove had people whispering, but a third had them outright rowdy with their phones primed to spread the brawl to everyone in the school.
âTony, stop it !â Peter snapped, his voice low but serious, immediately compelling Tonyâs focus. âHallway,â He demanded before walking off.
Tony tsk ed but followed with his hands shoved in his pockets and anger lingering his eyes. All the way to the empty hallway, where Peter now stood, arms crossed and disappointed, âWhat is going on with you?â
âWho the fuck was that?â Tony fumed.
âNobod- wait, no, I-Iâm asking the questions,â Peter stressed. âWhy are you so on edge?â
âYou know why.â
âActually, no. I really donât.â Peter pointed out. âYou told me to drop it , remember.â
âNot that- fuck, thatâs not what I meant.â Tony let out a frustrated sigh.
âThen what did you mean, Tony? Because skipping out on dinner really sends a clear message.â Peter could feel a sting in his eyes. âIâm so confused and hurt and I was looking for you all day today and you finally show up but youâre not even here for me. You just came to cause trouble, didnât you?â
âNo, Peter, thatâs-â Tony stepped forward, grabbing Peterâs hand. âI am here for you. I only ever come to this fucking place for you.â He shook his head, âI didnât want to fight, I just- Why would you even think that?â
Without warning, the lunchroom doors swung open and Quentin emerged, âOh, sorry, am I interrupting something?â
âYes!â Tony yelled, in sync with Peterâs very annoyed, âNo.â
Peter pulled his hand from Tonyâs, âDid you need something, Quentin?â
âOh, um- I just wanted to say sorry for what I said in there,â Quentin seemed apologetic, looking at Tony with remorse in his eyes. âI didnât realize that you were Peterâs boyfriend. I overstepped. Sorry, man.â
It appeared a sincere apology, but Tony remained silent.
âTony, heâs apologizing ,â Peter emphasized.
âSo?â
âYouâre unbelievable,â Peter whispered, shaking his head and moving towards the lunchroom doors. âI donât want to talk anymore. Skip the rest of the day for all I care.â
And Tony did just that.
~*3*~
When Peter said skip all day, he didnât think Tony actually would. He was convinced that, despite the tension, his boyfriend would follow their normal routine. On a regular day, Tony would be there within minutes of the buses leaving, ready to drive him home. So Peter stood outside the school, hopefully waiting for his boyfriend to pick him up. Yet, as the minutes ticked by and the school became emptier, Peter realized that Tony wasnât coming.
Left with no choice, Peter started the walk home, just as heâd done countless times before; trekked the three miles whenever the weather was nice or he missed the bus. After all, getting driven around by his boyfriend every day would make him lazy. There was no harm in putting feet to the concrete, exercising his legs, inhaling some fresh air. No, the harm started after the first two blocks, when the sky decided on rain and not just any rain â no, this was soak-through-a-backpack , fuck-you-Peter kind of rain.
And Peter nearly screamed, his frustrations pooling as he dashed to take shelter beneath a storefront awning. In the cover, he dropped his head into his palms, convinced that the universe hated him. He didnât have an umbrella, he didnât have anyone to pick him up, and no matter how much optimism he tried to muster, he knew an hour-long walk in the pouring rain would break him.
Beep!
A car horn close enough to Tonyâs that Peterâs whole body experienced a wave of happiness but, as he lifted his head, the wave dissipated. The car wasnât Tonyâs or MJâs or Steveâs. Just an ordinary sedan that he was set to ignore, but then, the windows rolled down.
âWell, if it isnât Tony Starkâs plaything.â It was Loki, parking the car against the curb and stepping out into the rain with vengeance in his eyes. âWhereâs Stark?â
Shit. Peter tensed, âFuck off, Loki. Tonyâs on his way.â A bold-faced lie â one he wished were true; one he hoped appeared as true.
âIs he?â Loki smirked deviously, moving closer and closer to Peter, âYou see, I received a quite interesting text from Natasha today.â He cracked his knuckles, âWhat was it you said to me that night? Touch me again and Iâll have him break the other one ?â He recalled, standing inches away from Peter. âNow, that only works if you actually have a him , doesnât it?â
Yeah, the universe definitely hates me. Peter thought, inhaling sharply as regret seeped through his body and he backed against the brick of the storefront. The very thing he tried so hard to contain swarming to the surface: fear. âDonât come near me! T-Tony will find out! H-Heâll know, he-â
âThereâs the Parker I know,â Loki smirked, grabbing Peter by his collar, âOnce a scared little bitch, always a scared little bitch.â He gave a dark laugh as he slammed Peter against the brick with one hand. The other winding into a fist and poised to deliver a punch.
And Peter closed his eyes, relaxed his jaw, and prepared for the inevitable, a pit in his stomach from knowing Tony wouldnât be saving him. He wanted to cry.
âHey! Get off of him!âÂ
A perfectly timed interruption that stopped Loki in his tracks and filled Peter with a thankful relief. It was Quentin, emerging from an expensive, tinted-windowed sports car and bolting towards them without hesitation. With his fists balled and ready to defend, he promptly stepped between them, shoving Loki back a few steps.
Quentinâs serious eyes were striking, especially when paired with that confident grin and the way he hovered his fists like a trained fighter squares up for a brawl. Or the way he pulled off that denim jacket and draped it over Peterâs head like he was protecting something important. Or the way he so reassuringly affirmed that Peter would be fine, so hold this for me, kid. Iâll handle this.
And Peter would be lying if he said it didnât remind him of Tony.
However, what happened next was nothing like the notorious bad boy. Quentin wasnât a violent fighter. Though Peter appreciated the protection, the way Quentin fought was boring. He didnât seem to enjoy the conflict â in fact, he only threw punches when Loki threw them. He was clearly trained but instead of a self-serving show of brutality, he leaned toward ending it as cleanly as possible. In the end, Loki stopped the fight. Not because he was dazed or bruised or bloody, but because Quentinâs resolve was stronger.
And much like Natasha, Loki left Peter with a warning before driving off. âSooner or later, youâll run out of assholes to protect you, Parker. And you and I both know that a scared little bitch like you canât protect yourself.â
Quentin exhaled, winded from the fight and thoroughly soaked with rain, but smiling bright nonetheless. âHey, Peter! Do you need a ride somewhere?â
Maybe the universe didnât hate him after all. âY-Yes!â Peter spared no time in rushing to Quentinâs car and following him inside. âYouâre a lifesaver, Quentin.â He said as he shed his wet clothes, denim jacket first, plaid long sleeve second.
âBeck.â
âHm?â
âMy good friends call me Beck.â Quentin smiled, slicking his wet hair away from his forehead.
âOh,â Peter nodded. âBeck, then. â He sighed, leaning back against the seat, thankful for the heat pumping through its vents. âThanks for helping me out.â
âNo need to thank me. Iâm just glad I showed up when I did,â Quentin gestured to Peterâs wrist. âBefore he could do anything else.â
Peter flinched, covering his bruised wrist like he was caught doing something wrong, âThis was- um...yeah, Iâm glad too.â
Quentin furrowed his brow, âWho was that anyway? And that Natasha girl too?â
âThat was Loki,â Peter sighed, âTheyâre my... enemies , I guess?â
âEnemies?â Quentin gave a soft laugh, âThatâs pretty intense. Whatâd they do?â
âItâs complicated.â
âTry me.â
âNo, I donât like getting too much into it,â Peter shook his head. âI was duped and Tony helped me. Letâs leave it at that.â
âTony helped you, huh?â Quentin repeated, clearly annoyed. âThen where was he just now?â
âHe was just busy today.â Peter was making excuses. Again.
âToo busy to protect his boyfriend?â Quentin scoffed. âIf you were my boyfriend, I would protect you all the time. No matter what, even if we had some stupid argument at school.â
Peterâs eyes went wide at Quentinâs sentiment, âWe werenât arguing. We were just-â
âIâm not blind, Peter,â Quentin interrupted. âI heard you both fighting in the hall. Tony seems quick to anger and, honestly, you donât deserve that.â
Peter crossed his arms and stared out the window, âAnd how do you know what I deserve?â
âI donât, but I know you donât deserve a guy that would leave you stranded in the rain.â Quentin sighed, âLook, I can tell youâre upset, so Iâll drop it for now, but at least think about what I said, okay?â
Peter glanced over to Quentin, whose eyes seemed so genuine that he felt bad for being annoyed. âOkay,â He nodded, relaxing his arms, feeling a bit embarrassed for being so peeved. âUm...so, your car is... nice.â
âThank you. It belongs to my parents,â Quentin gave a bashful laugh. âI couldnât find my bus stop this morning and when I finally got there, I missed the bus so I took the car.â
âWithout telling them?â Peter rose his brow.
âWithout telling them,â Quentin slowly repeated with a grin. âIâm definitely going to be in some deep shit so letâs enjoy it while it lasts.â He pressed a button to the right of the gearshift, âSeat warmers,â He said as he pressed another button, switching on the radio and filling the car with the low hum of rock music. âSurround sound andââ Another button. âSelf-driving navigation. Put your address in and weâre all set.â
âWow, this is my first time in one of these,â Peter mentioned as he inputted his address on the touch screen. âThere. Did that work?â
âPerfectly.â Quentin nodded as he started the ride and the car pulled away from the curb. âNow, sit back, relax, and enjoy your warmed butt. Weâll be there in a few minutes.â
Peter almost laughed at that one â almost â instead, he took the advice. He relaxed, soaking in the warmth and peacefully listening to the radio mixed with the pitter-patter of the rain. But then an AC/DC track played. âCan we skip this one?â
âNot in a âShoot to Thrillâ kind of mood?â Quentin asked as he skipped the song.
Peter shook his head, leaning forward slightly, âItâs not that...itâs other stuff.â
âDoes this other stuff wear leather and have a surprisingly high grip strength?â
âYeah,â Peter nodded, âBy the way, sorry he did that to you.â
âNo worries,â Quentin shook his head. âLetâs not talk about him. I want to know more about the kid, Peter Parker.âÂ
âI am not a kid,â Peter lightheartedly complained. âWeâre probably like one year apart.â
âI know but you get so worked up over it,â Quentin grinned. âI canât help it.â
Peter sighed but smiled, âFine, what do you want to know?â
Quentin beamed, âDo you have any hobbies?â
âComics, I guess,â Peter answered. âI have a collection up in my room.â
Quentin gasped, âCan I come in and see it?â
âSure, I guess.â
And when they arrived at Peter's apartment and ventured into his room, talking about comic books turned to playing video games for a few hours. And that turned to homework together and raiding the fridge for snacks. Chats about sharing interests turned to lending comic books, which very quickly turned to hey, Beck, do you want to come on our spring break trip? Somehow, it all turned Peterâs awful day into something a little brighter.
âThanks for hanging out today, Beck,â Peter flashed a quick smile, leaning against the door frame.
Quentin smirked, âAnd thank you for the comic book. I promise to bring it back with all its pages and exactly one unidentifiable snack stain.â
Peter laughed, an honest laugh, âSounds good.â
âWow,â Quentin smiled, moving his hand to gently tilt Peterâs chin upward, âYour laugh is really cute, Peter.â
âW-What?â Peter blushed â what the fuck? blushed? â he pulled away, quickly laughing it off like one big joke. âMy laugh is actually quite manly.â
âAnything you say, kid.â Quentin gave Peter one last smile before turning to head down the hall. âSee you tomorrow!â
âSee you!â And as he closed the apartment door, Peter scoffed but there was no denying the smile on his face; no denying that Quentinâs company had cheered him up.
Just as Peter turned to head to his room, the door opened again. It was May, âHey Peter, who was that boy in the hall?â
âHis nameâs Quentin,â Peter answered. âHe gave me a ride home today.â
âHe was here until now?â May glanced at her watch. âItâs past seven. What about Tony?â
Right. Tony. Â
Peter sighed, the flurry of negative emotions washing back over him at the mere mention of his boyfriendâs name. âWhat about Tony?â He mumbled, stalking into his room like the moody teenager he was.
~*4*~
The next morning was just as rough as the last but, at least, the sun was up today. Peter rode the bus to school, thankful that the ride was quiet despite the rumors that were starting to brew. According to a very frantic text from Ned this morning, students were starting to gossip about his relationship. The question at the center of speculation: are Tony and Peter breaking up? And it hurt to not know if that speculation was justified. After all, they had been arguing a lot and tensions were high.
Peter sighed as he stepped off the bus, ready to resign himself to another day of sadness, but then a voice called out to him that made his chest feel tight.
âPeter!â It was Tony, leaning against his car in the parking lot, smoking and gesturing for Peter to join him. He seemed less angry today, less brooding. The sight filled Peter with joy, but he was reluctant to show it. He was still upset. He was still confused. He was still hurt, but none of that could stop his feet from carrying him across the lot. âWhat?â He asked, crossing his arms, keeping his eyes on the pavement.
âI want to talk,â Tony said, flicking his cigarette away. âCan we?â
âYou ditched me yesterday,â Peter whispered, unsure why his hands started to tremble in his pockets. âIt was raining and I had to walk and-â
â You told me to skip,â Tony interrupted. âWhy didnât you take the bus?â
âBecause I didnât think you would listen to me,â Peter sighed, shaking his head. âI waited for you.â
âHow was I supposed to know that?â Tony let out a frustrated huff of breath, dragging a hand through his hair.
Peter bit the inside of his lip and turned on his heel, âIf Iâm bothering you, then we can just-â
âWait, no!â Tony reached out, grabbing Peter by his wrist.
The same bruised wrist as before. Peter flinched at the contact, inhaling sharp through his teeth as a dull pain erupted up his forearm. âL-Let go!â
Tonyâs eyes went wide, releasing his grip immediately. âSorry! Iâm sorry, baby, I forgot-â
âHow could you forget something that you did!?â Peter snapped, clasping his bruised wrist in his hand, holding it to his chest. âI donât want to talk anymore.â
âPeter,â Tonyâs voice was unsteady, frantic, worried. He reached out again, a gentle hand in Peterâs, but the younger boy just yanked it away.
âDonât touch me.âÂ
Tony paused, slowly closing his hand and stuffing it into his pocket. âOkay, but please, baby, just talk to me, I didnât mean-â
âNo,â Peter shook his head, once again starting towards the building.
Tony followed, keeping his hands to himself but unrelenting in his pleads. âPlease. Iâm sorry. Donât be mad, baby, just stay and talk to me.â
âStop calling me that,â Peter fumed, irritation dripping from every word.Â
Tony jogged forward, stepping in front of Peter to halt his strides. âOkay, okay , but I really just want to talk. I want to fix this, I-â
âI told you no,â Peter repeated, stepping around Tony without even looking him in the eye. âThe bell is going to ring soon. I have class.â
âPeter,â Tony reached out again, grabbing almost desperately at Peterâs hand.
âI told you not to touch me!â
âI donât know what else to do-!â
âIs there a problem here?â All of sudden, there was Quentin, fearlessly interjecting with one hand pushing against Tonyâs chest and the other hovering in front of Peter in protection. His shoulders rigid and his body braced for a clash more intense than their last.
Tony scowled, his eyes cast in a dark and threatening glare, âMove the hand before I break it.â
âHe told you not to touch him.â Quentin challenged, ignoring the warning and shoving his hand harder against Tonyâs chest.
And Peter watched with a sinking feeling as Tony grabbed Quentinâs wrist and fingers like he was leveraging to snap the bone. âTony, donât!â He yelled, louder than he has in a while and Tony must have taken notice because he released Quentin without question.
But then Quentin scoffed, putting two and two together, âYouâre the one that fucked up Peterâs wrist, arenât you?â He laughed low, his tone unsurprised, âAnd you left him in the rain to get beat up?â
âWhat?â Tony squinted, âWhat the fuck is he talking about, Peter?â
Peter shook his head, panicking, âQuentin, stop, you donât have to-â
âNo, he should know that because of him, you almost got the shit kicked out of you by that Loki guy.â Quentin asserted. âIâm glad I was there to take you home.â
âHe took you home?â Tonyâs voice went stagnant, coasting somewhere dark that had Peter struggling to find the words to respond.
âYeah, I did,â Quentin boasted. âI was there to protect him, to spend time with him, to get his mind off all the stress you put him through.â He said, stepping back and throwing his arm around Peterâs shoulders. âSo, donât worry, Iâll be taking him again today.â
Peter froze, staring into Tonyâs eyes and feeling a swarm of guilt in his stomach, âI didnât- um, Tony, we didnât do anything-â He pulled away from Quentin, âIt was just-â
âWas he in your room?â Tony asked, tone unchanging.
âYes, but-â
Tony closed his eyes, taking a deep breath through clenched teeth as his hands balled into fists. Anger was radiating off of him, billowing into the air and making it hard for Peter to breathe. Yet, as Tony opened his eyes, his fists relaxed and his fury seemed to wane as he brought his hand up slowly, threading his fingers through Peterâs hair, âIâm taking you home today.â
And Peter understood that it wasnât a question.
âOkay.â
~*5*~
After school, the tension had grown beyond control, especially now, as the spring break group convened for a quick meeting â meaning Steve, Sam, Bucky, MJ, Ned, and Tony were hit with the surprise of Quentinâs invitation all at once. To make things worse, the sheer pressure emanating from Tony was making the atmosphere unbearable.
âSo,â Steve began, smiling at the group despite the clear unease. âIâve got good news.â
âWe got permission to use the beach house!â Bucky blurted out, beating Steve to the punch.
âSteveâs parents said we can have it for the week.â Sam added, âMonday through Friday.â
âLike they said,â Steve shook his head, playfully putting his hands over their mouths. âBefore I was so rudely interrupted. We got the okay from my folks.â
âYes!â Ned exclaimed, shaking Peter by the shoulders, probably trying to relax the mood. âSpring break!â
Steve laughed at Nedâs enthusiasm, âIs he always like this?â
âAlways,â MJ assured. âSo is everyone clear with what theyâre bringing?â
âWeâll handle the drinks,â Bucky gestured to Sam, Steve, and himself.
âMJ, Peter, and I will get the food.â Ned gave a thumbs up. âBut someone else needs to get stuff to light the grill.â
âI can handle that,â Quentin offered.
âPerfect,â Steve nodded. âTony, youâre friends are good with getting the music set up and the games, right?â
âYeah,â Tony shrugged. âHappyâs bringing his car.â
âIâm bringing mine,â MJ added.
âMe too,â Quentin and Tony said in unison, only adding to the tension nagging at Peterâs insides.
âHaving four cars is perfect,â Ned interjected, laughing awkwardly. âEveryone will have legroom.â
âSounds good to me.â Steve smiled, waving to everyone as they dispersed. âSee you all on Monday!â
No one lingered â not that Peter blamed them â the conversation was strained and uncomfortable. He was relieved that Quentin didnât start something as they exited the school. Maybe it was because Tony was so silent and Quentin wasnât the type to start a fight on his own. The walk to the parking lot was quiet, even quieter was the drive to Peterâs apartment. Another awkwardly silent drive with Tonyâs unease imposed on the atmosphere.
As Tony parked the car against the curb, Peter opened the door before saying, âDo you want to come in?â
âNo,â Tony said, keeping his car running and his hands on the wheel.
âWe should talk now, Tones,â Peter closed the door. âIâm sorry about what Quentin said.â
âWhich part?â Tony stressed. âThe part about Loki, or that he brought you home, or maybe that he was in your fucking room ?â His voice got louder and louder with each word.
Peterâs voice caught in his throat, âW-We didnât do anything.âÂ
âHow long was he there?â
âI donât know...until May got back,â Peter shrugged. âWe just played video games and did homework. I lent him a book,â His hands were starting to tremble again. He hated it. âHeâs my friend.â
âSure, a friend ,â Tony scoffed.
âWhat are you trying to say?â
âYou let him touch you,â Tony seethed. âYou couldnât stand me touching you but you didnât seem to care when it was him. What the fuck happened to Iâm yours, but youâre mine too , huh?â
âNothing happened to it!â Peter was starting to panic. All of their conversations had spiraled out of control, escalated beyond what they should have been, and this one was no different. âI was just upset with you and he was nice to me so I didnât think about it. I didnât mean to-â
âI wanted to end this shit today.â
Peterâs heart skipped a beat, so scared by the vagueness in those words that his whole frame began to shake. âW-What do you mean?â
âNothing,â Tony shook his head. âGet out of my car.â
âWhat?â
âI said get out.â
âTony.â That came out more pitifully than Peter wanted and â oh no â his vision began to blur behind tears. âI donât like him,â His voice was distorted and breathy and on the verge of sobs, but somehow, that didnât stop him from getting angry. âYouâre the one that started this!â He yelled, looking up to combat his tears. âYouâre the one that got mad first! I was trying to talk to you about your dad and you-â
âI donât want to talk about him!â Tony snapped, slamming his hand against the steering wheel. âWhy donât you get that? Why can't you just fucking let it go?!â
âBecause he hit you, Tony!â Peter snapped back. âHe hit you and I couldnât do anything and I could tell you were scared and that-â
âPeter, stop! Just fucking stop!â Tony dropped his face into his hands. âThis isnât something you should worry about.â
âTony, Iâm your boyfriend ,â Peter stressed, wiping at his tear-stained cheeks. âHow can I not worry? It happened in front of me and I-â
âCan you just get out?â Tony lifted his head, his expression was blank but his eyes were wet, so clearly filled with tears of his own.
âBut Tony, I-â
âPeter, Iâm serious, get the fuck out of my car.â
âIf thatâs what you want then fine!â Peter fumed, throwing open the car door and stepping out. âBe that way!â He yelled before slamming the door shut and turning towards his building, not bothering to glance back, even when the roar of Tonyâs engine disappeared down the street.
As he ambled into his building and up the stairs, Peter wondered if this was what it felt like to be at his witsâ end; to feel utterly crushed by the weight of his emotions; to feel his heartache and be at a loss when trying to fix it. He stepped into the apartment, surprised to see Mayâs shoes by the door and hear her bright greeting. Right, it was the weekend, she was home earlier than usual.Â
âPeter!â May was stunned when she laid eyes on her nephew, rushing over to pull him into a hug. âWhat happened?â
âI donât know!â Peter started to break down. âThings just keep getting worse and we keep arguing and I-â He sobbed, âI donât know what to do!â And the tears he so viciously tried holding back fell freely and he was hopeless against them.Â
âOkay, calm down,â May rubbed gentle circles into Peterâs back. âCome sit down,â She said as she guided him to the couch, where he continued to cry. Where he continued to weep as she headed into the kitchen and prepared two cups of tea. Continued to sob as she grabbed a box of tissues from the linen closet and calmly sat, waiting for the tears to run dry. And once they did, she finally spoke, âNow, explain.â
âTony hates me,â Peterâs voice was hoarse. âAll weâve been doing is fighting with each other and Quentin made it worse.â
âThe boy from the hall?â
âYeah,â Peter sniffled. âHeâs my friend but Tony thinks I like him and weâre fighting about that too now.â He sighed, taking a sip of tea before continuing, âAnd everyoneâs going on that trip to Steveâs familyâs beach house. And itâs just going to be the worst, Aunt May.â
âWhat were you fighting about before Quentin?â
âI-â Peter hesitated, âIt was something that happened at Tonyâs house.â
âAnd what happened?â
âSomething bad,â Peter mumbled, placing his mug on the coffee table.
âIâm listening.â

Fatal Attraction - Part 5
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3Â Part 4
Summary:When a mysterious man shows up at your job, you find yourself inexplicably drawn to him - and him to you. But behind the beautiful face is the dark lifestyle of a man who has made his wealth through becoming the most powerful drug dealer in the city. Word count: 4k whew my longest work ever I think (there are probably some typos towards the end forgive me!!!)
Song: I wanna be yours // Arctic Monkeys
Warnings: blood, stitches (please ignore if its not medically accurate I tried yâall), smut
Your eyes fluttered open as warm morning sunlight entered the room. With each slow blink, details from last night came back to you. For a few moments you were certain it wasnât all just a dream, but the bruises on your knuckles told you it was very real.
You looked down at yourself, you were in the pajamas you had packed, but you had no memory of putting them on. You peeked inside your shirt, seeing your bra was still on. Mika must have got you into your pjs because you would have never left your bra on to sleep, no matter how exhausted you were. You thought it was sweet, though, he could have been a creep and stolen a look at you while you were passed out, but he didnât. He really was a criminal with morals.
Speaking of your favorite criminal, you rolled over, happy to find him still in bed with you. He was closer to the other edge of the bed, which in a king-sized bed felt like a mile away. His back was to you, allowing you to sneak up behind him and wrap your arms around him.
âMorning,â he mumbled softly. His eyes were still closed, but he smiled when you pressed a kiss to his cheek.
âMorning,â you whispered, cuddled against him. He was so warm and solid, curing the little chill you always seemed to feel in the morning, no matter the temperature outside. You couldnât imagine anything that would be worth leaving this bed for.
âI wish we could stay like this forever,â Mika said, as if he could read your thoughts. He turned towards you, his eyes somehow even more beautiful with a hint of sleepiness in them.
âWho says we canât?â you asked with a playful grin.
Mika chuckled, âJust about everyone who buys my product.â You thought it was interesting the way he spoke about what he did. It was all very professional, like he was working in a legitimate business. You didnât mean that in a way to belittle what he did, clearly he did well for himself and you really didnât have a problem with it. You wondered, though, if it was a show for you, like he thought you were more comfortable hearing âproductâ rather âdrugs.âÂ
âCan they wait five more minutes?â you asked, not ready to leave this little slice of heaven just yet.
âOf course they can,â Mike replied, kissing your forehead.
âI have to say,â you began, absentmindedly running your finger over his arm, âI was a bit surprised about last night.â
âIâm glad I didnât freak you out too much with Thomas. I was nervous youâd flip out on me,â Mika replied, watching how you touched him. He loved how delicately your hand moved along his toned forearm.
âNo not that... well yeah I guess that surprised me too,â you laughed lightly. That was an understatement, but not what you were thinking of. âI mean the window thing. Not exactly what I would expect from a guy that wants to take things slow.â
Mika shrugged, âIt was just the way you handled yourself, I donât know, it got to me I guess. You're not very easy to resist, y/n.â
You were sure his words made your cheeks turn a bright shade of pink. âGuess itâs good you live so far up, or else some people would have gotten a good show,â you joked.
âIâd never let anyone else see you like that,â Mika said, laughing, though there was an edge of seriousness in his voice. You guess Mika was not a man that liked to share.
You laid together for a little while longer, but hunger got the best of you both eventually. You meandered out to the kitchen, thinking you would just be having some cereal or something. You should have known by now that Mika was not just a cereal type of guy.
âA chef?â you asked, not sure why you were even shocked. He was in the kitchen, churning out a little breakfast spread for the two of you.Â
âI thought youâd be hungry after last night,â Mika replied. Your stomach growled as if to agree with him. You loaded your play with pancakes, eggs, and some fruit for good measure before settling down on one of the stools at the kitchen island.Â
âDo you mind if Chris joins us?â Mika asked. You shook your head, your mouth was too full to reply verbally.Â
At first you were sure Chris didnât like you, but you think he was just very protective of Mika, which you appreciated. You guessed he thought you either just wanted him for his money, or got yourself into something that was way above your head. The former couldnât be further from the truth and the latter, well, maybe there was a hint of truth to that. You didnât know exactly what this lifestyle would entail, but you were prepared to do whatever it takes to keep up. You werenât about to become a liability to Mika. With the look of approval you caught from Chris last night after handling Thomas, you think he was finally starting to see that too.
Chris came in form the elevator a few moments later, greeting you with a reserved smile, but a smile nonetheless. That was progress in your book. âWe still on for tonight?â he asked as he filled his plate with eggs.
âYeah, Iâve texted the guys to be ready at our normal spot at midnight,â Mika replied.
âWhatâs tonight?â you asked, not following the conversation.
âWeâve got a shipment coming in,â Mika explained, âNothing big, really. Itâs more of a decoy if anything. Dimitriâs trying to figure out where we import from so he can hijack the big one we having coming in soon.â
âCan I come?â The both shook their heads immediately.
âThis isnât like last night,â Mika replied slowly. You could tell he was trying to choose his words carefully. âLast night was secure. These things are... harder to plan for. Things can... go south fast. I donât want you in the middle of that.â No matter how heavily he sugarcoated it, you knew he was saying there was chance he could get seriously hurt tonight, or worse.Â
âYou could die,â you heard yourself say. You didnât want to sound scared or like you couldnât handle this. Mika didnât need another thing to worry about, and a small part of you was scared that if he thought this was going to freak you out too much heâd break things off.
âPlease donât worry, y/n,â Mika insisted, âIâve done these countless times and Iâm still here. Hell, this one is probably the safest one weâve done in a while because we are anticipating Dimitri watching. Weâll be ready for him and any of the shit he pulls.â
Chris slung his arm around Mikaâs shoulder and added, âIâd never let anything happen to Mika, I promise.â You gave them your bravest smile. It did make you feel better to hear that, but still you couldnât complete ignore the nerves in your stomach.
âWhat am I supposed to do while youâre gone?â
âIsn't tonight your normal night to work a shift at the club?â Mika asked. You wondered if he planned it that way. He was right though, you were supposed to work tonight. You had almost completely forgotten about Rickâs shitty club; it felt like a lifetime ago.
âUgh, yeah a do,â you groaned, âThat place fucking sucks.âÂ
âDo you wanna quit?â Mika asked.
âI would love too.â
âSo do it,â Mika replied casually, âYou donât need to work, Iâve got you covered.â
âMika, I canât, I donât wanna mooch of you. Itâs not fair,â you replied.
âYou're not mooching, I want to do it,â Mika countered, âBut if you want to work, I definitely support it. Iâll help you find a different job even. I just... I donât really like the way other men look at you when you dance if Iâm honest.â Yeah, he definitely didnât like to share. You thought it was hot, though, how he spoke with such seriousness.
âOkay deal,â you replied, âIâll work my final shift tonight and then look for something new. God it will be so nice to be able to tell off Rick once and for all.â
Chris let out a laugh, âKinda wish I could see that.â You smiled, glad that he really seemed to be warming up to you.
âSo I gotta ask,â you shifted the topic, âHow did you to meet?â Mika and Chris exchanged a glance as if sharing a silent exchange of who wants to tell the story this time?
Apparently it was Chrisâs turn. âGuess itâs not so crazy. I used to live with my family up in Massachusetts, but we didnât get along well I guess you could say. My parents put a lot of pressure on me to excel in everything. They even wanted me to be a pro hockey player, I mean can you imagine?â Chris and Mika chucked before Chris continued, âAnyways, when I told them that isnât what I wanted they basically kicked me out and cut me off. I moved to New York and started selling to get by. And thatâs when I met Mika.â
âMy dad used to have me scout guys,â Mika picked up the story, âTrying to figure out who we could recruit to work for us. I just clicked with Chris unlike I have with anyone else. He's one of the few people I trust completely.â Chris smiled bashfully at Mikaâs words. You could tell they meant a lot to each other and you were happy Mika had such a great friend.
âIâm glad you have each other,â you replied. Specifically glad that Mika had Chris. It would make you nervous (well more nervous than you already are) for Mika to be out doing this without someone to have his back. Especially someone like Chris who, the more time you spent, with the more you were convinced he could wrestle a grizzly bear.
The rest of the day was pretty quiet. Mika was extremely calm for someone about to go out and break the law while being watched by some lunatic mobster. You spent much of your time laid beside him, his hand lazily tracing lines over your body as he made phone calls to the other guys finalizing the details. You wished you could get in his head and see if he actually had any fear, or if he was just being brave so you wouldnât freak out.
Eventually, it came time for you both to go to your respective jobs. Hopefully it would only be your final time doing it. âHey, donât look so scared,â Mika said softly, tucking his finger under your chin and pushing it up so you had to look at him. âEverything gonna be okay, I promise. By the time youâre done with your shift at the club Iâll be home. You won't even have time to miss me.â
You couldnât help but smile softly at the way he spoke to you. It filled you with such a sweet warmth and comfort. âIâll be racing you back,â you teased, trying to show him you werenât as nervous as you truly were.
âI know you will be,â Mika smirked, âSo on the off chance you beat me to it, or if you need anything at all while Iâm out, Lias is gonna be. We always have one person stay back in case- just for precaution. If you need anything call him.â
You nodded, wrapping your arms around him tightly. Mika gave you a peck on the lips and you returned it, which ended up in full blown making out in his living room.Â
âJesus there are plenty rooms in this apartment you guys need to find one,â a voice quipped. Lias had let himself in. You and Mika both rolled your eyes and laughed. âChris and the guys are waiting for you in the car downstairs.â
âThanks Lias. Make sure you keep your phone on you if we need anything,â Mika turned to you and kissed your forehead before saying, âIâll see you soon.â You gave your bravest smile as a goodbye and watched him disappear into the elevator. You wanted to go out with him so you could spend as much time with him as possible, but Mika was concerned about being seen with you. As far as he knew, Dimitri didn't know where he lived, but he still didnât wanna risk it if he was watching.
So after ten minutes passed, you set off to the club one last time. Despite your nerves there was a go giddy excitement coursing through your veins. There were so many times you fantasized about telling Rick off and now you were finally going to be able to do it.
That was all you thought about during your shift. Well that and Mika, but you were trying to not make yourself a nervous wreck and that was the best distraction. It definitely wasnât your best night in terms of tips but you really couldnât give less of a fuck. It wasnât about the money. You were just there to fill the time. Each song brought you closer to giving Rick what he deserves. Each song brought you closer to Mika.
And finally it was time. You eagerly changed back into your street clothes, hugging the girls you worked with goodbye. They didnât ask questions about why you were quitting. That was best part of this profession, the girls you worked with understood life could be... complicated. You were glad you didnât have to come up with a lie.
âIâd like to talk to you, Rick,â you stated, shutting the door to his office behind you. It was less office and more closet he turned into a makeshift office to feed his sense of self importance.
Rick smiled a sleazy smile, âFinally gonna take me up on that offer to fu-â
âOh would you shut the fuck up,â you snapped, stunning him into a brief silence.
âYou canât talk to me like that,â Rick fired back. He could be loud, but you were scared of him. He was coward and he wouldnât lay a hand on you. Even if he did, you knew Mika would crush him in a second if he heard.
âI can do whatever the fuck I want. Because I quit,â you began, âYou are never going to lay one of your disgusting fucking fingers on me again. Or any of these girls for that matter. None of them want to fuck you, they're just to scared to tell you off because youâre their gross, manipulative boss.â
âWhy donât you j-â
âIâm not fucking finished,â you cut him off, âIf I hear you even so much as make one creepy comment towards any of these girls I promise you it will be the last thing you ever do. Got it?â You hadnât realized you were getting closer to him as you spoke until you were right in his face. You never saw him look so afraid. It felt good.
âGot it,â he gulped.
âGreat,â you flashed a mean-spirited smile, âDonât even bother paying me for the shift tonight. I donât need your money.â With that you left, feeling on top of the fucking world. You almost forgot about what Mika was out doing. Almost.Â
Once the high of quitting wore off, you were practically running home. Had you not been so caught up in wanting to see Mika so badly, you may have thought more about how you were already referring to Mikaâs place as âhomeâ even though you havenât even moved in. That didnât matter right now, you just wanted to see his face.
You rushed into the apartment, nerves creeping in as you noted how quiet it was. You found Lias in the living room where you left him. Alone.
âTheyâre not back yet?â you asked, holding out hope Mika had slipped away to the bathroom.
âNo, um, should be here soon,â Lias told you, though there was something off in his voice. He knew something he wasnât telling you.
âLias... did something happen?â Your heart was pounding your ears.
âItâs nothing really everything is-â
âLias fucking tell me what happened,â you snapped. You couldnât bare another moment in suspense.Â
âThere was a fight,â Lias relented, âNot Dimitriâs people, but they were attacked.â Before you could ask what he meant by that, the elevator doors lid open. Chris walked in with his arm around Mika, who was bleeding down his face from his forehead.
âOh my god,â you gasped. You knew head wounds bled more than other wounds even if they werenât that bad, but the amount of blood dripping down his face was startling.Â
âItâs not as bad it looks,â Mika insisted. You rush over to him as Chris sat him down at on one of the stools in the kitchen.
âSeriously, you should see the other guy,â Chris added with a smirk, âPoor guy wonât be getting a date any time soon.â Mika and Chris had a laugh, as if Mika wasnât still currently bleeding. You inspected the gash above his eyebrow, a little less than an inch long. You ran a finger over the skin around it and Mika winced.
âThis is gonna need stitches,â you stated, getting a close a look as possible. It didnât appear to go down to the bone, thank god.
âWe canât go to a hospital,â Mika told you, âHospitals take names and ask questions.â
âHave you got a first aid kit?â you asked.
Chris nodded, âShould be a fully stocked one in the closet upstairs.â
âGrab it and bring it to the bathroom. Lias can you get some towels, please? Either dark ones or old ones. This will stain.â You held out your hand, which Mika took, but not without a quizzical look. You led him to the bathroom.
âDo you know how to do stitches?â Mika asked as you sat him down at the toilet. You turned on the tap, letting it run warm.
âI was studying to be a nurse before I left college,â you explained. By that time Lias had dropped off some black towels. You soaked one, gently removing the blood that had dripped down his neck.
âIs there anything you canât do?â Mika asked, eyeing you with wonderment. You were trying to focus on wiping the blood around to wound off without pulling it open more, but his eyes on you clouded your thoughts.
âLong division,â you joked, mostly for yourself. You needed to lighten the mood. Once you got enough of the blood off, you instructed Mika to press the towel against his head to prevent anymore from coming out. Just then, Chris brought in the first aid kit.
âNeed any help in here?â he asked.
âNo, thank you,â you replied, your eyes scanning the interior of kit. You were relieved that it had everything you needed. Chris said something you didnât really catch as you pulled out the disinfectant. You poured it on to the gauze and handed it to Mika. âPut this over the cut. Itâs gonna sting, but itâs gotta get clean.âÂ
Mika followed your instruction without question, though he did wince when the gauze touched his skin. âJesus this hurt more than the actual cut.â
âSorry,â you replied empathically.Â
âNot your fault baby,â he replied, his free hand finding the back of your thigh and rubbing it lightly. You ignored how it made your stomach flip as you tried to thread the need. It took you three tries.
âTry to hold still,â you said quietly as you positioned yourself over him. Your hands were shaking slightly, it had been awhile since you had done this. After a deep breath you were able to proceed, and you were surprised how easily it came back to you. Mika was an amazing patient, only a few little twitches of a frown as the needle went through his skin and the sutures closed up the wound.
âAll done,â you said, letting out the breath you didnât realize you're holding. You took a step back to admire your work. You were surprised at how good they looked.Â
Mika stood up and checked himself in the mirror. âWow, youâre amazing, you know that right?â he marveled at you. It made your knees weak.
âYou were the bravest patient I ever had,â you told him. He didn't need to know your only other patients included little kids at summer camps.
âHope you donât mind how they make me look,â Mika teased, wrapping his arms around your waist.
âI think it suits you,â you replied. It was weirdly hot, in a way. âPlus, Iâve always loved a scar on a man.â You gently thumbed his forehead, just a few inches above the wound.
Mikaâs eyes clouded over lightly. At first you couldn't quite place it, but when his lips found your neck you realized it was lust. âHow can I repay you?â he asked in a tone that told you he already had an idea.
You slipped your hand under his jaw, making him look at you. You took a second to admire the look in his eyes, before whispering. âLike this.â Your lips were on his in an instant. You kissed each other hungrily. Your hands tangled through his hair while his found your ass. He gave you a slight squeeze and you jumped up, wrapping your legs around him.Â
He was able to carry you effortlessly to his bedroom without ever losing contact with your lips. You fell into the clouds of his bed sheets gently, as Mika admired you from above. As much as his stare intoxicate you, you needed him. You reached up, pulling him on top of you.
Clothes feel off between kisses and gentle moans. Mika made it clear the other night that he was well-versed in foreplay activities, but right now you just wanted him. Nothing besides him inside you would satisfy the ache you felt between your legs.
Mika sensed this, reaching down to run his finger through you folds. He made sure you were wet enough for him and you were more than certain you were. Though when he removed the last of his clothes, there was a sliver of doubt in you. He was big, both long and thick.
âWeâll start slow,â Mika smirked, noting the look in your eye when you saw him. You didnât have time to be embarrassed about being caught staring, he was already getting himself ready to push into you.
It didn't happen with you fistfuls of sheets and some gasps, but he managed to get himself all the way inside you. Mika was normally very composed, but you could see his willpower was crumbling as he felt your tightness around him.
Mika kept yo his word, moving slowing until you both adjusted to the feeling of the other. It didnât take too long before he was able to move with more speed and strength. He felt unbelievably good inside you; you never felt so full in your life. His strokes were long but fast. It was the perfect mix of needy and passionate. Heâd been thinking about this moment as long as you had.
Your orgasm approached surprisingly quickly. You clawed at Mikaâs back, feeling the pleasure build to a near unbearable level.
âFuck, Mika,â you gasped when you couldnât hold on any longer. The sweet warm sensation of bliss filled you completely. You moaned into Mikaâs neck as he kept going until he came along with you. The sounds he made were music to your ears.
Mika slowed up and let you both ride out the last few moments of your highs. He was panting lightly by the time he fell beside you on the bed. He had you in his arms within seconds.
âI guess neither of us understand the concept of slow,â you teased.
Mika chuckled, kissed the top of your head, âYou get me. Thatâs why youâre my girl. Forever.â

Chapter five : New number, who dis ?
Packing never made me feel weird before. It was friday afternoon so a majority of students were going home or, like me, to their parents' place for the week end. Most of the time I'd stay in my dorm with Mandy because we had so much homework there was no point coming home at all. I already knew for a fact that I'll be locked up in my room all week end painting, drawing, and cutting paper, but I promised I'd see them since it has been a while. My parents' cooking and comfy house usually made me impatient but not this time. I knew the boys were staying on campus because they lived far away, and it gave me mixed feelings. Part of me longed for Jake, and the feeling of his touch on my wrist was still so vivid I sometimes got the impression his hand was still here. On the other hand, he and Josh were big family guys, and seeing them missing their home so much while I was reluctant to see mine made me feel like a spoiled brat. That's why instead of calling to tell my parents I wasn't coming home this week end either, I went home to enjoy every bit of it.
My mom had already made my favorite dish, and dad was excitedly chatting about this new movie  he saw on tv the other day. It felt good, I could allow myself to relax a little, take a bath, hang out with some friends for an hour or two after finishing an assignment.
Sitting at my desk, I dropped the pen and stretched my back, falling back onto the chair and looking at my work. I did good this week, so the teacher didn't make me redo any of my assignments, which was very fortunate because I still had a flyer design to create. I unfolded that one Jake gave to me and took a look at all the infos, preparing a draft of my first idea. Why they didn't let the Illustration department do the visual com design was a mystery. By the look of it I bet it was the Music and Architecture dudes who made it. There was a bunch of band names thrown in the middle, what looked like a pixelled stock image of a Santa hat in a corner, « with beer ! » in a really ugly comic bubble in another, and the worst was that they though Comic Sans was an acceptable font choice. Unbelievable. That's why we can't let Architecture dudes do anything.
Creating a decent design took me a solid two hours, which was way faster than I planned. Getting up, I studied it from a distance, looking for flaws. It wasn't the best I could've done but it was pretty cool and not printed with neon yellow paper. For now, I'll rest my head for a bit and see if I can sketch the few more ideas I came up with later on. Feeling proud of my work, I took a picture to send it to Jake. It was dark and quiet outside, and one glance at the clock confirmed my thoughts on how late it was already. Biting my lower lip, I struggled. Maybe he was sleeping.
I never texted him since he gave me his number. I mean he gave it to me so we could talk about the flyers, right ? I would've been uneasy using it for another reason. Pondering whether of not I should maybe wake him up, I started pacing in my room, tidying and touching things, stuff I did when I was nervous. My arm still had some black marker on it, faded shapes and symbols vaguely resembling numbers, like an old letter with smudged ink and discolored paper. At first I didn't wanted to wash it off. Mandy and I got so excited by it we cheered together right after school, and classmates seemed intrigued by it. The cold weather didn't allow me to show too much skin so it could look like a tattoo, or a hot guy gave me his number (which was technically true). It could look like I just wrote it myself, but it was totally lame so I didn't want to think about it. Although I really enjoyed that empowering feeling of being someone's interest, at least a little, I scrubbed it hard the same evening. I didn't know if Josh was aware of it and couldn't raise suspicion in case he wasn't. It looked like we were doing something bad, and maybe we were, I had no clue. Guys had that weird rule regarding friends dating brothers and according to Netflix romcoms I was walking on thin fucking ice so I wasn't taking any risks. To be honest I don't think Josh would mind us talking but Jake seemed like a secretive guys so if he told Josh then I'll talk about it and otherwise, I won't. I'll just go with the flow and follow his lead on this, it was safer.
It was almost 2AM when I sent the pic and left my room to get a nice cup of tea/coffee after all these efforts. By the time I got back I had one new message.
« Hi to you too »
I felt my heart jump a little when I saw his name at the top of the screen, and his first text made me smile. I got so pumped by all these design ideas that I forgot to tell him it was me. The picture made it clear enough, though, but maybe it was a bit rude of me. Taking a sip of hot tea/coffee before putting the mug on the night table, I sat on the bed, eyes still on my phone, thinking of an answer. It took me maybe too long because I kept on rereading it to be sure I wouldn't embarrass myself with a typo.
« Hi, sorry. So what do you think ? »
The phone was threwn on the blankets and I turned on the tv to make me think of something else than his future reply. Saying that I was confident would be half-true. The design was good or so I thought so, but then again tastes were all too subjectives and art was tricky. He had all the right to hate it, I wouldn't take it personally (well at least not a hundred percent...). Idly watching a re-run of some old sitcom, I continued to quietly empty my cup and switch channels without really paying attention when I heard my phone buzz and let everything down to grab it.
« I got to admit you were right, our flyers sucked, this one looks fantastic »
And maybe my cheeks started turning pink. Compliments on my art meant a lot, more than those on my personnality or physic. It was really rewarding to have someone enjoy something you created from your own hands. It felt better than any other flattery, so the reply came naturally.
« I'm so glad you like it. I had a few more ideas in stock just in case »
His next message came so fast this time that I didn't even put down my phone yet when I felt it vibrate in my palm.
« Thank you for this, I really appreciate it. I'll owe you one. »
His sweet personality made a smile spread across my face. I took the flyer in my hand again, studying it. The number of bands playing this day was surprisingly high. Some of them I knew because I either heard people talk about it, or knew the guys playing. One especially because they kept rehearsing their rap lyrics in the dorms for everybody to enjoy, which I didn't since they started loudly singing at three in the morning and ignored all my complaints about the noise of their boombox. But most of the bands, no, I didn't know. I continued watching intently the names of the bands playing as if I'll have an epiphany and guess which was Jake's. Giving up, I took my phone again to tap.
« Don't sweat it, I'm glad to help. So... which one are you... ? »
Again, the reply was faster than the first texts we exchanged, despite the late hour.
« You mean the band ? Guess you'll have to come and find out »
I raised an amused eyebrow at this. Getting cocky, aren't we ?
« Alright then, Mister Mysterious, I'll wait and see. »
« You won't regret it. », replied Jake, and for some reason my face started heating up again.
We didn't speak for several minutes, I didn't know what to say now that the topic was closed, and I had nothing to add to it. Switching channels and drinking tea/coffee didn't gave me much help either, at this hour it was either old re-runs, or tv shopping. My eyes looked at the digital alarm clock, and it was almost three in the morning. That's how I knew what to write next.
« I just thought about it, but didn't I wake you up ? »
He was fast as ever again this time, probably wide awake and without anything to do.
« No, don't worry. Rehearsing with my brothers. I'm taking a break until Sam and Josh stop arguing and find a compromise for the new song. Our friend Danny's being the peace keeper once again, I left him alone on the battlefield and went out for a smoke. »
The war metaphor made me chuckle lightly, causing my imagination to run wild. The thought went through my mind that I couldn't believe they would argue, but since they were brothers it was normal I guess, even if they seemed pretty close. Close enough to form a band together at least. I never saw Josh angry, but he had a very vivid temperament, so it wasn't really much of a surprise either. My mind wandered a bit, and I briefly wondered how Jake looked in a heated argument. Probably hot, but also intimidating. He had that kind of quiet aura that seemed like it could become suddenly agitated, like a spotless watercourse that got troubled by the rain or rocks that ricocheted on it. I couldn't explain it, but it was how my limited knowledge of him perceived it.
My phone buzzed again, and this time it was a picture that made me snort in the ugliest way possible. It was a very unflattering close up of a moody and clearly unamused Josh who looked like he was in the middle of scolding Jake for doing whatever he did that got him upset. More of it  came, one after the other, for my greatest amusement, and by looking at them in order I could see his actions and movements, like a flipbook of ugly pictures of an angry Josh wearing a colorful dyed t shirt and ample pants that I assumed were his pajamas. The last one got me shaking with laughter, poor Josh looked awful, in a middle of what I assumed was a menacing speech for Jake to stop his bullshit, with an eye half closed and his mouth stuck the weirdest twist of the lips humanly possible. I saved this one as blackmail material, might be helpful in the future.
I didn't even know what to respond to that, they all radiated such chaotic energy it was splendid. Jake was quicker, and sent me a text this time, saying Josh threw his slipper at his face and that he was lucky he hadn't had the tambourine in his hands at that moment.
« I guess rehearsal is over for today, hopefully they'll make up their minds about the song tomorrow. Thanks again for the flyers, see you on monday, we'll print them. »
I never knew I'd be that impatient to go back to school before meeting him.

50 Reasons Why I Love...
@handsomejinbae
Iâm starting this off with a soft paragraph for you.
Weâve only known each other for a month-ish. While I write this, my blog is running a gif of Dylan OâBrien in the back ground so excuse me if this is a slight mess, heâs pretty attractive. Going back to my original point, Iâve grown close to you. Youâre my good friend and I would hate if anything bad happened to you. You help me in so many things including my writing and helping me become more confident of a person.Â
50 reasons below the line so itâs not too long. :) (Have a gif of our biases, too. Ironically, Iâm Jin and youâre Namjoon, but hey, whatever.)
1. You have a passion whenever you talk about Jin that I admire so much because I know that you put that much passion in everything you care about.
2. Youâre absolutely stunning on Skype even if itâs 2 in the morning and we all have been crying over a story.
3. Youâre so strong for what youâve been through and what youâre going through and I confide so much within that?
4. You have this aura around you that Iâm naturally drawn to because I feel like I can trust you.
5. (Piggy-backing off the last one-) I know that I can trust you. I know that I can come to you with my problems and you wonât announce it to the world.
6. Youâre always super concerned with the group chat and making sure that everyone is okay.
7. Youâre mature and will shut something down if itâs making me or anyone else uncomfortable.
8. You have these really lame dad jokes that I laugh at all of the time and Iâm not sure why I do?
9. Youâre gorgeous and you donât even realize it and more than anything this makes me really REALLY mad.Â
10. Despite Jin being your bias, you love all of the BTS members so much and I know you would probably murder someone for them...
11. ... You would honestly probably murder someone for any of us. And I respect that, I can dig that.
12. YOU HAVE THIS GORGEOUS AS FUCK SMILE AND IâM SORRY FOR MY LANGUAGE BUT WHEN YOU SMILE I SMILE.
13. You have a windshield laugh and I love when weâre on Skype and I can get you to laugh it because I know it doesnât come out often.
14. Your legs damn girl slay me. Daammmmmmnnnnn.
15. You arenât shy to talk about your boyfriend (the two of you are really cute together).
16. Ass.
17. You give the cutest fucking nicknames and I sob a little whenever you refer to me by them.
18. Youâre so chill? I could murder someone and you would help me get away with murder while still saving Jin pictures.
19. THE DEDICATION FOR YOU TO HAVE OVER 1,000 PHOTOS OF JIN SAVED.
20. We have basically the same brain and we can #EXPOSE some people when we need to.
21. Tag teaming is always fun when itâs with you.
22. You respect my boundaries and you accept me for my sexuality and myself as a whole.
22. You donât judge anyone. No matter who they are or where they come from (unless they repeatedly lie, or something.)
23. God who else would supply me with reaction memes? Or BTS memes in general?? OR JIN PICTURES???
24. Youâre lowkey when you donât like something someone is saying but you drop all of these subtly hints but if they donât get it youâre like âFUCK ITâ.
25. This is the halfway point. If you donât believe that you are loved by now then damn, you have some strong self-hate against yourself. And I hate that.
26. You role with your typos. [Olay, Olay]. You arenât afraid to show that youâve made a mistake.
27. You can sing. You might not believe it but damn, I could fall asleep to that sultry voice anyday.
28. Youâre the only other person in the groupchat that doesnât go âOLLIE WTFâ when I mention Dream Daddy: a Dad Dating Simulator.
29. Weâre basically in the same time zone with an hour here or there, give or take, which means I can always come to you. I know youâll be awake and I love that youâre awake when I need you.
30. Youâre so supportive but if you think something is wrong you wonât ignore it and youâll confront the issue head on with us.
31. I know I never have to go through anything alone because youâll be there with me.
32. You totally are willing to fight people with me and I can just imagine us strutting into a fight all glam looking.
33. You take charge when you need to. Youâre never forceful about it but I also think this ties in with being older.
34. The dedication to all of your biases. [Jin, T.O.P, Lay, I canât think of anyone else right now itâs 1 am leave me alone].
35. You send gifs of Namjoon to me when you know Iâm feeling down, what did I do to deserve you?
36. You send gifs of Namjoon to me when Iâm feeling happy just because you saw it on tumblr and thought of me.
37. YOU SEND GIFS OF NAMJOON TO ME JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME AND GOD I LOVE YOU FOR THAT.
38. You donât see your beauty and it pisses me off.Â
39. Youâre willing to fight your friends because your friend doesnât see how pretty your biases are.
40. You rant all of the time and I love it because youâre so soft when you rant about how much you hate people.
41. Reiterating, going back 40 points, YOU LOVE JIN SO MUCH YOU WOULD PROBABLY SET ME ON FIRE FOR HIM?
42. Okay but you also just randomly send me pictures of Namjoon as well and that makes me happy.
43. You always acknowledge my presence in the groupchat or anyoneâs presence. Itâs sweet. It makes me feel thought about.
44. You make me feel wanted and loved.
45. I havenât met you in real life, but I have a feeling youâd give good hugs.
46. I also think that you would make really good hot chocolate. Iâm not sure why I think that one.
47. You refer to me as Meme Man and I swear I feel like a superhero every time you call me that.
48. You love everyone so much?? Weâve never met and still you would murder someone for me.Â
49. You love so many amazing bands and artists that I shriek??
50. I just really love you. That has to count for something, right?
[BONUS 51: You never sleep if you think something is wrong. So please, if youâre reading this, GO THE FUCK TO BED.]

Week 1- 6/29/16
Wooohoo tell mah I made it. I survived my first week in the MTC and it has been a whirlwind. (please ignore any typos- I have like negative 10 minutes to write this email and I have sooo much to say hahaha). I arrived last Wednesday and as we drove by the MTC and I saw all the Elders and Sisters waiting to welcome everyone there, I was overcome with emotion. Being a servant of the Lord is truly an amazing thing and I love being a missionary! Putting on my name badge every morning makes me so happy and I know that I am where I am supposed to be. My companion is Sister Hickenlooper, sheâs from Farmington, Utah, and she is THE BEST. Sheâs so funny and we laugh all the time and (MOM i forgot to tell you that she likes One Direction too hahahah Iâm so blessed) she is super spiritual so we teach well together and it is awesome. My district is hilarious and we have a ton of fun together too. Donât get me wrong though. Being a missionary is the most mentally and physically exhausting thing I have ever done. (it probably doesnât help that we go to bed like 30 minutes later than we are supposed to and get up an extra ten minutes early butâŠ. whoopsâŠ) I learned that missionary work isnât just teaching lessons, itâs about finding out what your investigator needs and adapting the gospel principles to help them understand and feel loved. Itâs all about loving who you teach and helping them know that Heavenly Father loves them and that Jesus Christ can help them come back to Him, and that we, as missionaries, are there to help them and love them every step of the way. And itâs NOT ABOUT ME. We listened to this awesome talk by Elder Bednar that they only show in the Provo MTC, and it was all about how true conversion comes from turning towards others (because thatâs what Jesus Christ did, he never thought about himself no matter how hard his life was) and focusing on them, not yourself. We have three investigators- Riley, Matt, and Olivia- and we are all in the beginning stages of teaching them. We had a great lesson with Riley last week though! We really felt the spirit guiding the lesson and our thoughts and that is an amazing tool to have when trying to understand what someone needs. Iâve learned that when listening to what the investigator is saying and trying to think about how I can relate what they need back to the gospel principles, the spirit guides your thoughts to what you can share to help them. And thatâs what we are here for! To help and love and serve and spread the happy message that Jesus Christ loves you and can help you with literally anything you need. The MTC is a beautiful place and I wish I had more time to describe every amazing experience Iâve had! Iâve learned that prayer is essential and we pray soo much here but itâs amazing. Also, the food sucked last week because the new mission presidents and their wives were here for training and stuff so they took over the cafeteria. But we got chick-fil-a sandwiches on Saturday which was pretty awesome. But now we have the cafeteria back and life is good. Heavenly Father loves each and every one of you! And I canât testify enough that the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church! Love, Sister Doty P.S. the pictures are of me and my companion, the sisters in my district, and all but two of the Elders in my district! And the most important thing is that we have bunk beds in our residence and it is like the most fun thing ever. :)
HI MOMMY. Iâm having sooooo much fun. But Iâve never been more exhausted in my entire life. So itâs really hard to focus in class when Iâm exhausted all day but itâs been a lot of fun. My district is awesome, I miss you guys a ton! Sorry I didnât email more. They said I could send an email home about my PDay but Iâd already told you when it was so I figured Iâd just wait to tell you more today. My companion is seriously the best!!! I love Sister Hickenlooper! Weâre on the same page spiritually but we also just get each other and have a ton of fun and laugh really hard and Iâm seriously so blessed to have her. Thereâs these other sisters in our district and they arenât getting along and one of them drives me CRAZY so i just thank Heavenly Father every day that I have Sister Hickenlooper. On Sunday, the lesson was on obedience, and I realized that Heavenly Father will give us everything we need when we do what he asks us to do. Following the spirit and coming on a mission is a hard thing, but I know that Heavenly Father blessed me with what I need (Sister Hickenlooper and an awesome district) to get through this. It makes me so sad that I wonât be with Sister Hickenlooper after the MTC! But hopefully Iâll get another good companion sometime. OH! And Sister Hickenlooper and I were asked to be the Sister Training Leaders for our zone, but we donât take over until our last week when the current STLâs leave.
My district is sooo fun. Elder Carroll- our district leader- is seriously one of the funniest and nicest guys around. He is only 18, and it amazes me at the courage and maturity that some of these young Elders have coming on missions after just graduating three weeks ago. Elder Kent is super annoying but in a funny way. Heâs hilarious too. I love my district. I get annoyed with some of them sometimes, but most of all they are great company and make me feel at home and not lonely.
I see my cute Elder McFadden at lunch and around campus sometimes, so thatâs nice. He is doing well. He said the second day was really hard for him, but things are better. He seems really happy and he likes his district. So things are good for him. Heâs in a district with a bunch of Charlotte missionaries though and heâs in a trio and last week he made it sound like his companions were frustrating him, but I think things are better. I also have seen Elder Mendel a couple times! He says the language is hard but he seems fine and it was so fun to see him. I actually see a ton of people from high school around so itâs nice to have familiar faces every once in a while.
Putting on my name badge when I get ready every morning is the best thing in the world. I love being a missionary. Itâs hard but itâs awesome to be surrounded by people just like me who are spiritually in tune and want to serve. The hardest thing for me is focusing and giving everything I have to the Lord. I donât want to have any regrets and there has been a lot of talk about converting yourself, but itâs through serving others. Iâll write more about that to dad so have him share that with you.
A funny story is that the other night, I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom, and thereâs like 15 showers in the bathroom and all the sisters that were showering were all singing âA childâs prayer.â So iâm like, whatever, thatâs cool that they all joined in. But then one of the girls is like orchestrating who is going to sing what part and who is harmonizing and blah blah blah and it was so ridiculous that I went and grabbed sister hickenlooper from our room and we started laughing so hard and poking fun at them because it was just so stupid and weird and funny. Choir practice in the shower. Interesting.
I love you so much mom! I wish I could tell you every little thing about my day, but I will send more details about my investigators in the big email I send. Iâm grateful for your love and support. I can read emails every day, but getting a letter is really, really, nice too. So donât stop sending them. Who cares about the environment. hahaha. Also, I think I left my blue basketball shorts in my hamper or in my room somewhere, can you send them to me when you get back? And can you send me some more winter green life savers? and snacks? My friends suck. No one emailed me. But i love you and I hope you are having a great time in hawaii! Sister Hickenlooper and I were trying to find a mormon message to share with our investigator, and we found one about a girl who lives in hawaii and we watched it and it didnât connect with our lesson and ended up bumming me out because I miss Hawaii and you guys. But itâs okay.
Love you to the moon and back!
Sister Doty
