🌈✨CRINGETOBER 2024✨🌈 DAY 9: CHILDHOOD VIDEO GAME

MySims folks, HI!!! I’ve been obsessed with the original MySims lately, so I made an introduction page for my player character!

LOTS of reminiscing under the cut, SORRY Y'ALL.

I recently got a Wii, but I haven't gotten too many games for it yet! EXCEPT for MySims! MySims is one of those foundational game series for me that I just love so much. Kingdom was maybe the most fun I remember having, and then Agents literally changed my brain chemistry. I'm very glad two of the games are getting released on the Switch. I'm going to collect and play all of them in order, and no joke, that's probably going to take a long time, because I take Sims building SOOO seriously. Maybe I'll do introductions for all my protags though, who knows!

ANYWAYS, this is Cala Mint! Cala was NOT my original MySims character as a child, tbh I don't really remember the Sim I made at all. I do know every single one I did make back then was super edgy, super goth. And absolutely no hate for that, I may do that for another character, but I just didn’t feel it for the first MySims game! And an idea struck me while messing in the character creator!

A long time ago, I completed the Not So Berry Challenge for the Sims 4! All ten gens! I wish I still had my screenshots, but unfortunately they all got blasted into the ether when I transferred my files from a different computer. However, I did draw ONE of my characters. My founder, Cala DeBerry!

Her fashion wasn't...GREAT lol, but I LOVED her. She was a mad scientist, her best friend at the lab was Caleb Vatore, she married Eva Capricciosa from Partihaus because they were always at the club together, she was enemies with Vlad. It was just so fun, I loved that entire challenge so much even though it took me FOUR years to do.

Now, Cala lives on in MySims! I imagine she's still a scientist type, but definitely more chill compared to the other scientists in this series. She's absolutely judging the fact that so many people in the town love to decorate with red apples. My first best friend was Vincent Skullfinder, because the museum was so fun to build. It'll probably take me a bit to get to Five Stars and fill in all my lots, BUT, I'm sooo enjoying replaying the game despite how poorly it runs. Seriously, I don't know how they made it run so bad but my Wii is screaming whenever it first loads anything.

I based this sheet on the Relationship book, if I had more time I would definitely have doodled more, but the MySims style is actually really really hard for me for some reason. More studies in the future will be needed for sure.

Had a dream there was an allusive new MySims game that everyone was talking about because a video of it randomly appeared on YouTube. The video stated that the game was bundled with a bunch of kid's movies on some legendary DVD that also played games. Among this MySims game were several Pretty Cure episodes, Tokyo Mew Mew, a few different Sonic cartoons, a few Mario games, the movie Little Nemo and the entirety of Madoka Magica for some reason which I thought was an odd choice among kid properties. The disc also has a unique capability where it could separate into VHS tapes of each cartoon that was on it. So for example if you wanted Madoka on VHS just take it from this DVD somehow.

The MySims game the dream made up was a visual novel type thing and the story was about Proto-Makoto reuniting with Dr. F. Due to many malfunctions Alexa and Dr. F got repeatedly frustrated with her and for some reason it got very dark and sad. And throughout this made up game Proto-Makoto would get more twisted and broken the more her choices lead to ridicule. There was a few scenes with regular Makoto and TOBOR trying to stand up for her and make things better. In the end there were two endings, the main ending that most people got where Proto-Makoto got fed up and killed everyone with a bomb she built, and the secret second ending where it you managed to collect every item Proto-Makoto would forgive the world and in the final act where she was about to kill everyone she would blast off into space and have the bomb blow up herself, sacrificing herself for the world.

Instead of using simlish the dream swapped between Japanese and English. Some moments were direct quotes word for word from Precure with Proto-Makoto being voiced by Ruru Amour's VA. As for Dr. F he kind of sounded like Jack Black for whatever reason probably because I watched Kung Fu Panda yesterday. Supporting characters were all crossovers such as Preme from Precure All Stars F, Ruru Amour, Papple, Higashi Setsuna (a lot of Precure characters), the fox from Kung Fu Panda 4, etc. Also it was unclear if the person Proto-Makoto worked for was Dr. F, Morcubus or Victor F they all sort of merged. Also think it has locations from all the previous MySims games and the player played the same character they did in Agents. Also think the dream claimed at one point that this is where some MySims Agents 2 storylines ended up.

That's all I know, thought it was an interesting dream now bye!

Pokémon Legacy Challenge by Simthesia

Hey guys i decided to make my own legacy challenge based on the Pokémon Series as its one of my favourite games ever and I wanted to find a way to incorporate both! Each generation is based on a popular Pokémon from the series and there are 10 gens. 1.Each heir may bare resemblance to the Generation Pokémon but is not necessary for the challenge, but try and keep to the colour such as yellow hair for Pikachu etc 2. You are fine to use money cheats if you want to, although this may make it a lot easier for you , this is not a rags to riches challenge, unless stated in the generation! 3. Each generation needs to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir, and don't switch the aspirations around. 4. Keep the lifespan set on normal 5. I have added optional rules as i know not everyone has every pack , so if you want to chose some of these to do that's fine or even all of them if you have the correct packs. If you don't,  they are not necessary to the challenge

Generation 1 - Pikachu

Pikachu (Japanese: ピカチュウ Pikachu) is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

You wanna be the very best , like no one ever was ! You're goal is to be the best at your career , solve lots of crimes and to fall in love with that special person! You love your friends, tomatoes, and are generally always happy! You have a big fear of water and struggle even taking a shower. You quite like getting electrocuted and thunder storms are your absolute favourite !

Traits: Cheerful, Self Assured, Ambitious. Aspiration: Soulmate Career: Detective, Secret Agent

Rules: Master Handiness Skill Learn at least 1 Instrument Have at least 3 Best Friends ( Max Friendship ) Marry your first and only love! (optional: must be called Ash lol) Have at least 2 Children Reach level 10 in chosen Career

Optional Rules: Master Dancing Skill (optional with GT) Everytime there is a ThunderStorm throw a thunderstorm party and celebrate! (if you have seasons)

Generation 2 - Bulbasaur 

Bulbasaur (Japanese: フシギダネ Fushigidane) is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

You love all things nature, and your happy place is being outside among the plants! You feel as though sometimes they even speak to you. You want to achieve all with nature that is possible and gardening is your biggest passion in life. You love to meditate and just be at one with your thoughts.

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Neat, Vegetarian (if you don’t have CL, you can use a random trait) Aspiration: Freelance Botanist Career: Gardener (can only earn money from selling plants unless you have Seasons !)

Rules: Master gardening skill Have at least 20 different plants inside and outside the house Attempt to create every type of Hybrid Plant Have 6 Children and refer to them as your 'seedlings' Marry as a Young Adult and then have your spouse die tragically after completing your family

Optional Rules : Master Herbalism (if you have OR) Master Floristry (if you have seasons) Master Wellness Skill (if you have Spa Day)

Generation 3- Charmander

Charmander (Japanese: ヒトカゲ Hitokage) is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

You're a fiery personality with the opinion your above everyone else ! You never fit into your family seeing them as 'weak' and want to strive to be the best, and when you can’t it causes you a lot of anger You're loyal to those who earn your trust but are reluctant to let people in Nothing is really ever good for you , you always strive to be better, and your family come second to work

Traits: Hot Headed, Snob, Perfectionist Aspiration: Mansion Baron Career: Engineer (if you have DU) /Run your own business if you have GTW or Business if not

Rules: Reach level 10 in Chosen Career Max skill in Logic and Programming Marry as an Adult, but always be very suspicious of your spouse When you get halfway you can change a trait , as you mellow out Have at least 2 children with spouse, but you aren't a very good parent Achieve 500000 simoleons in money ( no cheating for this)

Optional Rules : If you own Discover University this sim must attend university , with the intent to do a degree relating to the Engineer career Beat Spicy Curry Challenge (if CL is owned)

Generation 4 - Squirtle 

Squirtle (Japanese: ゼニガメ Zenigame) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

The opposite of your parent you are super mellow and love a good joke ! You also love to play pranks on your family and friends You love water and always want to be in the sea or the pool,  and strive to protect it at all costs. You also love food and are not afraid to take other peoples!

Traits: Glutton, Child of the Ocean (if IL not owned choose any), Goofball Aspiration : Beach life (if playing in Sulani) OR Master Chef Career: Conservationist with Marine Biologist (if playing in Sulani) OR Culinary

Rules : Must live in a different world to parents (if island living is owned it must be Sulani) Max Cooking Skill and Mischief Skill Reach level 6 in fishing skill Have triplets (you may cheat for this ) and they are your only children. Refer to them as your Squirtle squad

Optional : If Island living is owned , they will strive to become a mermaid as they love the ocean and all things water

Generation 5 - Eevee

Eevee (Japanese: イーブイ Eievui) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

You have always wanted a big family and to just be the best parent you can be! You love children and caring for others! Your weakness is food just like your parent but you are very particular about where it comes from, and will only eat food you have cooked yourself. You have a creative streak and love to get arty.

Traits : Family Oriented, Foodie, Creative Aspiration : Super Parent ( or Big Happy Family if you don't have Parenthood) Career: Culinary or Stay at Home Parent (earn money from painting)

Rules Must have 8 children and one on these has to be adopted Marry teenage sweetheart and stay married to them for the rest of your life Master Parenting Skill Master Painting Skill Master Gourmet Food Skill Be at least good friends with all of your children Move to live in Newcrest

Optional: Take a family holiday every summer season (if OR or JA is owned )

Generation 6- Mew

Mew (Japanese: ミュウ Mew) is a Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation I. 

You love to wonder around and explore, you don't like to stay in more than one place at once, and you prefer to be alone. You want to see everything you can and hate being tied down. You love to collect things and hoard them in your house, you could be considered messy. Your child is not ideal for you but you love them all the same.

Traits : Loner, Non Committal, Genius Aspiration: The Curator Career : Begin as a Scientist, leave Job and become a Critic, leave job again and Freelance

You love computers and your passion is gaming, you want to be a top esport athlete and so put all your time into practice, hoping one day you can be the best. You also have a very unique look , some would say mismatched but you think you look amazing. You don't really like other people, you have a lot of social anxiety and going outside is a struggle.

Traits : Neat, Geek Aspiration : Computer Whiz Career: Tech Guru

Pretty much what I said in the title. I'm on Mac OS 10.10.4, with the most recent origin update as of 7/28-ish/2015. This started happening a couple of days ago when I opened SimCity and the Origin app auto-updated. Tried to start a new city in a region I started about a month ago.

Basic Portingkit Install Instructions GOG games: 1. Download Portingkit if you don’t have it already! 2. Download the SimCity 4 Deluxe “offline backup setup” file(s) into your (root) download folder. 3. Go to the library server tab and select the game you want to install and click “Install” 4. Portingkit will create the wrapper and locate your setup file in your download folder 5. The installation of the game will start, run through the install wizard. 6. After installation, exit the installer (don’t run launch the game). 7. Porting kit will say it has finished successfully. 8. Go to your local library tab and select the game and click “play”! 9. Enjoy the game!

Still For Catalina users (not long anymore): Make sure SIP is disabled and that the Porting Kit app is located in your Apps/Application folder. If you want SIP to be enabled, I strongly recommend Crossover for now for the time being.

Among other things, the Debug menu allowed testers to invoke the special disasters not listed in the Disasters menu.

A separate, enormous menu was devoted to testing each type of newspaper article.

There's no apparent way to activate these; the relevant codes from the PC version do nothing on the Mac.

These menus were removed altogether in version 1.2.

The budget should work properly now, transit figures should be correct (and stay that way).

The Bulldoze Tool should always default to Bulldoze instead of whatever tool was last used. This should prevent accidental mass destruction caused by forgetting that the last bulldoze tool being used was Raise/Lower/Level Terrain.

Airports should build correctly now (the ratio of towers to runways should be better).

Several problems that show up with more than 7 stadiums/teams should be gone.

Figures in the Analysis window (from the City Hall query window) should stay correct.

Sometimes, destroying bridges would leave an un-usable shoreline tile. This should be fixed.

Querying on certain tiles of the Forest Arcology in certain situations would report bare land, this should not happen.

Arcologies that do not have micro-simulators attached should now affect population (populations far greater than 9.1 million should be attainable).

There is a new button when using the query tool on a library. [That would be the 'Ruminate' button, which displays this essay by Neil Gaiman.]

Placing highway and re-enforced bridges now charges the user correctly.

Schools should work properly at population levels above 60,000.

The date should now properly display above 9,999 years.

The power graph should be more accurate.

This Read Me file has been updated.

There's also a new quasi-ending: if the year is at least 2051, and your city has at least 301 launch arcologies, they'll take off into space and refund the money used to construct them, accompanied by a pop-up announcing that 'the exodus has begun'.

Hi, guys I thought it would be fun to update my ocs Karla and Lillie from Mysims to Mysims Skyheroes!

1: Mysims Karla Intrests: Geeky Cute Hates: Studious Karla is a townie geek who comes to {yourtown} at star level 4. She hopes to grasp the inspiration to create and finish her famous comic book series: "The littlest star".

Introduction: "Hi, I'm Karla, the comic artist behind the famous "The littlest star". I was hoping to grasp some inspiration here in {yourtown}. Accept Move in: Yay! I can't wait to get started again! Can I be in a place that has a lot of stars? Finish building the house: This feels so cozy, just like in issue 9, chapter 2 of my comic, "The new home"!

Star level 4: "Hey, did you see that shooting star last night? I drew it for my comic and I'm thinking of naming it Xexus." "All the best comics doodle on notebook paper! Gotta start somewhere right?" "One time my dog ate a page of my comic strip. So I redrew it on my homework... I got a B-."

2. Mysims Kingdom Interest: Cute Karla is a Cutopian resident who helps the Duchess take care of the bunnies. Its obviously the best job ever!

3.Mysims Agents(3 paranormal 2 smarts) Karla is a news reporter working in the industrial district, she tries her best to find the most interesting stories rather than doing the actual jobs. Karla can also become a recruit at your HQ.

"Really? I can be an agent? That's great because my last job just fired me! What's more interesting Building repairs or Robots trying to rebel against their creators?"

4. Mysims Skyheroes Karla is part of a thug flying team called Devil Fight. A team that tries to get what they want by any means. She can open up, but don't expect her to be sweet and carefree!

Triva: Karla was originally going to be a commercial sim Karla's cousin is Lillie Alexas Its obvious Karla has a crush on Spencer, as hinted in Mysims Kingdom, she has a thing for fairytale knights and if you send her on Spencer's depatch mission, she would start to crushing on him Karla's last name could be Alexas Karla would of had a twin sister and ex boyfriend but they were cut from the game In Mysims Skyheroes: Her mission Dance with a devil is a reference to "Dance with the Devil" from Breaking Benjamin In the mission "One more time" her nightmare is her microphone talking on its own and exposing all her secrets

Introduction: "Whazzzup! I'm Lilliana Alexas! I think {yourtown} is in need of some comic books, and yes I know about the outfit, but you can criticize it when you learn to program a computer! So whatdya say?" Accept move in: "Alright! Lets get this started!" Finish the building the shop: "Ya know this looks like Captain Tinsletowns lair in issue 2! I love it!"

Star level 4: "When I was a kid, I played a lot of baseball. When I pitched one day, I broke my old computed, I miss it everyday" "Hey, have you seen Karla? Let me know if she wants to send a publish comic, she makes them ya know!" "Have you seen the latest Captain Geo episode? He saved the earth with a producer ray!"

Star level 5: "Little do people know that Starcruiser X started as a comic! Gotta love the original!" "Jenny should get Karla to make a fancomic of her fanfiction! They would be even more famous!" "When programing a computer, never insert a random number or you'll crash it"

2. Mysims Kingdom Intrest: Tech Lillie is a invertor in the Forest of the elves. However, a generator would be better than a "natural" lighting rod!

3. Mysims Agents(3 chrisma 2 athletic) Lillie lives in the industrial district, and she has to watch Karla and make sure she does she her job since Karla pays the bills.

"Thanks! Ever since miss "Idontdomyjob" got fired! I need to make some money."

4. Mysims Skyheroes Lillie is part of a thug flying team called Devil Fight. A team that tries to get what they want by any means. She is the leader and will hurt anyone that gets in her way!

Trivia: Lillie has Nova's voice type in Mysims to Mysims Skyheroes, but in Mysims Agents she has Shirley's voice type When Lillie mentions Captain Geo, it's a reference to "Captain Planet" Lillie may have a crush on Vic as she clearly "only goes to play Plane vs. Eye Lillie has a degree in Computer Programing and a minor in business Lillie has gold eyes in Skyheroes, but in other games her eyes are green In the mission "One more time" her biggest nightmare is her baseball bat turning into a stuffed unicorn Lillie is tomboyish Despite her "little crush" on Vic, she shows a great admiration for Alexa in Skyheroes and Agents Lillie is around the age of 32
