I saw a previous ask about ships and as someone that loves gen stuff I highly appreciate how you decided to focus on family and friendship, the world needs more gen fluffness so I love you for that. That being said, I think the fixed ships I saw for now are jerza and zervis? You said the ships weren't going to be a spoiler or anything, so is it alright if I ask?

Yesss gen fluff for the win! I just want to write friends and found family man.

That said, for plot and character reasons, and since this series spans over the course of years and with tons of characters, I can't really avoid it. (And, I mean, there's a few ships I do enjoy. Just passively and stuff.)

So yeah, list! No problem. Not everything is super set in stone, though, and it's pretty background I promise you. Mostly because I am Terrible at writing romance. I don't understand it, lol. So even though they sneak in there, I'm not going to write the romance part in the fore front.

Zeref/Mavis are sprinkled in there, for sure, largely because their romance kinda is a big plot point, what with the mutual cursing each other and all.

Jellal/Erza also, as you said. I pretty much just see them as super close and kinda mushy while also being awkward. I am told that that's attraction, lol. Pretty much what you see now already is what you get. Them being mutual confidants and what-not. Maybe a little too codependent, but getting better.

Gajeel/Levy will probably also make an appearance, but I have also found that I am incapable of writing them as anything but Best Friends, with teasing that probably edges the line into flirting. I think. Close enough.

Alzack/Bisca are still a thing. I don't really mess with them from canon much, lol, so I can't see it differently. Besides.... Asca.......

This is is a maybe, because it's sneaking up on me, but Cana/Juvia might be a thing. I'm sitting here drafting dynamics and every time I leave it for five minutes, I turn around and squint at it, trying to figure out if that crosses the line into romantic or nah. They're playing red-light-green-light with me in my story planning, I swear.

That's it really. Or at least all I can think of. Otherwise it's like... past-past stuff, or way in the background. Like people's parents and what not. Essentially I'm mainly sticking with fairly established stuff here, character-wise, with the exception of Juvicana potentially jumping from platonic to romantic when I'm not looking. Or it'll stay platonic, but just deeply so, like intended. But that one is probably gonna stay "interpret it however" because not even I am a good judge on that one. Granted it's early. Things evolve when I start actually writing it, lol.

And, uh, confession time with slight future spoiler: I'm mainly in it for the potential of kiddos. Romance is a means to an end. I want to go full circle and get some little ones running around and maybe make Acno a granddad by the end of this shebang. The only reason I cross the line from "it's in the background so interpret it however you want" is because I can't hide the fondoodling I need to get the babies. Which is sooooo very not gonna happen on screen don't worry. But you know. That's it.

I feel like it would have been nice to make fraxus canon since mashima did make sure to stress their bond in the last arc especially but at least we got lots of nice moments. what about zervis? I personally am a bit torn about this one. nalu, fraxus, chendy and jerza must be my favorites :)

hello here I am to respond to this (im avoiding responsibility so I thought I’d work on responding to some stuff) Fraxus is one of my guilty pleasures. But I think it’s very true to his character that Laxus never became canon with anyone. So, he’s dying y’all. I know we forget it sometimes because it’s only mentioned two or three times, but the bane particles from the tartaros arc are slowly killing him. He doesn’t even know how much time he’s got. It’s like my car battery right now. Could go out today, could last another month all in all I could break down on a highway at any time. My point here is that Laxus doesn’t have a lot of time. And Laxus doesn’t want to hurt his friends and his family. If he ever did choose to seriously date that would put his partner at the risk of a lot of pain and suffering when he dies. Now, Freed is gonna hurt one way or another he’ll cry for decades, but I think Laxus not doing anything more than something platonic is his own way of protecting the people he loves.

LIKE WITH NATSU. Natsu didn’t tell Lucy that he was E.N.D and that if Zeref died he would die because he knew that would hurt her, and it would make it hard for her to watch him sacrifice his life for the guild. The less she knew the better. He was protecting her from that pain, and I think that’s what Laxus is doing here. He’s protecting the people he loves the most from the pain of his death. As much as he can anyways.

Elfever is some cute shit guys, I loved it from the moment it was hinted, but I honestly don’t have any big paragraphs for it haha I just hella like it.

I fucking love Chendy. They have the bond of their similar powers, and then they spent a whole year together as the sky sisters. They bonded, and they got stronger together. Don’t even get me started on Chelia sacrificing her magic to save Wendy and Charle. God I love them so much they’re just so pure.

Zervis is hit or miss. I think it has a tendency to be toxic because Zeref has spent way too many years alive and watching people die so he has a tendency to treat human life as though it’s garbage. Except he loves Mavis, and then he bonds when they come under the same circumstances, but in the end he still rampaged her lands, and hurt her friends, and tried to destroy the entire world. She still loved him after that, and that’s pretty true to most manga heroines its just that i dont like it. but i also like it. Idk it’s hit or miss is all. There will be some Zervis in starcrossed though so theres that. not much but its there lmao.

Wow ok i’ve been meaning to get to this for a while but always end up procrastinating (go figure :P). 

Since i’ve hit 200 followers (over it actually, since i took so long getting to it) i wanted to do something to celebrate! So because my blog is such a giant “everything-but-the-kitchen-sink” concoction, a friend recommended i do some flash fiction requests. If you’re like me and didn’t know what exactly that was until yesterday night, Flash Fiction is writing very short pieces of fiction, usually only a couple hundred words long. So down below i made a short list of a couple (of the MANY) fandoms i’m apart of, and what you most likely follow me for (other then my stunning personality *obvious sarcasm is obvious*). ~Well obviously I love Nalu. I’m all for them romantically but I also love their friendship. It’s such a precious relationship in this fandom that I doubt anyone can compete with, if not their romance then their friendship. I also love the main ships because they all have their own ways of complimenting each other. I love the individual friendships in Fairy Tail: Team Natsu, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy (dude their friendship is 10/10), Shadow Gear, Thunder Legion, etc. I have wayyy too many ships that I like a lot. Mainly, I love the BrOTP and OTP of Nalu. :3

~Hmmm…I mean I’ve always been pretty accepting of all ships; There isn’t really a ship I don’t like. Hmmm I’d say Gajevy. @rboz really changed my opinion of them. I didn’t really get their dynamic but through her art and explanations, I really began to understand it and accept it more.

D: A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t

~ I’d have to say Zervis. I mean I don’t have anything against the ship, really (except for I can’t really sympathize with Zeref or whatever the heck he’s doing rn). I just don’t really…understand it? And how it works?

~I just shuffled my music and got “君と彼と僕と彼女と” by Breathe which reminds me a lot of Nalu, specifically the modern Nalu AUs. It’s just super cute and kind of fluffy/angsty. I especially love when the song crescendos because it makes me think of those fics when Natsu like isn’t sure if Lucy likes him back and she says yes and they’re all happy and fluffy and my heart soars. ❤️❤️❤️ :3333

Ft: Zervis 100 chapters ago, I liked it, but I think it has become too insane and stupid even for Fairy tail.

Op: Coralaw Some people like it, I find it crazy, cora and law had a beautiful platonic love and some have turned it into something sexual.

Lunami: Has many fans, but I find it trivial. They have a good friendship, but I don’t think rufy prefer Nami to others or vice versa. I understand that it may be please but it seems that their fans have not realized that the probability that they become canon is close to zero (like other ships between mugiwara).

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

Op: I have nothing to say about this fandom

Ft: I think in this fandom there is a high percentage of people who are touchy and childish.

22. Popular character you hate?

Ft: Gajille I like him when it was presented ... he was coolNow it has become only the shadow of Gajevy practically serves only for this ship,  he is turn into a dude mushy and useless.

Op: Chopper Unnecessary character that only serves to sell gadgets.Years ago was the doctor / monster of the crew. Now he is a sweet animal who is not even very good as a doctor. Sometimes I hope he dies and that Law takes his place.

On the topic of ships in the FT fandom, I'm pretty sure we're all aware that the majority is unhealthy *cough* Gruvia and Zervis *cough* but what would you say is probably the most HEALTHY ships you've seen? Just wondering!

Obviously, none of the Big Six make the cut. But that aside, you never quite realize how few ships you have until you get asked a question like this. 

GrayLu - You know, what I think I love the most about these two is that they’re the ones who are off to the side making smartass comments about other peoples’ antics so much. When Lucy snatches her novel from him, he whines that he was just getting to the good part, so apparently he’s at least somewhat interested in what she wants to write. Natsu? Natsu just considers selling her manuscripts for a quick bite to eat. 

Stingue - I am The Biggest Slut for light/dark dynamics. Sting and Rogue clearly think the world of each other, and support each other in everything they do. They’re obviously the best of friends, and before people screech at me that some relationships can be platonic, every good romantic relationship starts with a good friendship. I am wholeheartedly convinced that the existence of this ship is what spurned Mashima to start writing in Stingyu and Rogerva and I am immensely pissed about it.

CanaLu - These two, in the same vein as GrayLu, clearly have a great friendship going for them. The Tenrou Island arc is where I started to love Cana more than ever, and if I were to ship her with anyone, it would be Lucy. 

Gray x Angel - I don’t mention this a lot mostly because Angel doesn’t come up a lot, but the fight between them is amazing. It’s like if you took the Juvia/Gray fight from the Phantom Lord arc, trimmed the fat, and added a lot more depth–the man with a suicidal self-sacrifice streak is the one selected to desperately try to convince this suicidal woman that she shouldn’t die. That is a plausible savior ship. You could also say that I ship Graytear for similar reasons, although I’ve never been enthusiastic about that one.

Gajeel and Laxus - I would say this is my #2 Laxus ship. Gajeel and Laxus are two adequately redeemed antagonists, and judging from the way they interact with each other, they get along pretty well. As I’ve said before, my friend dragged me into the hell that is this ship–and that was before the anime’s Laxus vs. Tempester fight came out, and I went heart eyes over the way Gajeel and Laxus had each other’s backs.

Literally, in one case. Just sayin’.

Alright, runners-up!

Gajuvia - I can’t ship this because in the actual manga and show, Juvia treats Gajeel as poorly as anyone else that drags her attention off of Gray, and in one case shows outright disdain for him for interrupting her Gray fantasies. But the way the fans ship it is pure and wholesome, and really paints the picture of two friends who go way back and can rely on one another.

Gratsu - Again, for similar reasons as above. The fans are nice–but as far as I’ve seen, Natsu treats Gray little better than anyone else around him.

Sildarts - I…..don’t really have an explanation for this. I discovered it only recently, and while it obviously has no canon development (which is why I can’t list it for it ‘healthy’ ships, but it’s not necessarily unhealthy either), c’mon. I can’t resist a gay DILFs pairing like that. Gimme.

WHAT IS THE NEW AU PLEASE TELL US FAIRY TAIL AU QUEEN

I am not the Fairy Tail AU Queen, tbh I am just another Fairy Tail trash extraordinaire who can only write AUs because canon is already so crazy I can’t even absorb the events enough to write normal fic of it, and then something crazier happens and the cycle continues. Fuck I’m getting too old for this Mashima I’ll soon crumble under the stress.

So kudos to all the wonderful writers who can write stuff while keeping up with the neverending shitstorm.

But to answer your question – Yes, there’s a new AU. I’ve only written roughly 1k words of this one so far, but here’s the gist of it:

It’s basically an expansion of the ‘Riverside AU’ drabble from my fic Between You.

Originally supposed to be a Mira/Freed/Laxus drabble of the same length to be included in Triad, but then backstories for side-characters and a bit of plot began to unfold.

…so yep. Riverside/Tremontaine AU is a go. (If you haven’t read them, don’t worry so much. But also try them out bc they’re beautiful stories!!!)

Okay, not a total AU, but very much inspired by that universe.

Main ship (kinda) will be Loke/Lucy/Natsu in a poly relationship.

Also: Gruvia, Gajevy, Jerza, Elfgreen, Chendy and Stingue.

Deciding between romantic or platonic Mira/Freed/Laxus.

OH MY GOD SOME OF THEM ARE MARRIED CAN U BELIEVE.…also Zervis. I think. At least. Zeref is mentioned. With Mavis.
