what are your current thoughts about how they'll handle max? do you think she'll die? that she'll remain blind? wheelchair bound?

Ohh ok so I think that Max is obviously not dead. That would be poor writing after making her struggle with depression/suicidal ideation and then escaping Vecna only to get killed in the end. We know that when Vecna "kills" someone, he traps their mind. I think Max is somewhere trapped in Vecna's mindscape (her mind is technically trapped, but in the show they'd show her physically trapped I think, maybe in her nightmares, but hopefully not because that's so depressing). I'm guessing that they'd have to save her before truly defeating Vecna, because if they kill him, his mindscape would disappear and Max's mind would truly be lost forever, making her actually braindead.

I think that her near-death will have consequences though. Even though El will get her back from the mindscape before Vecna is defeated, she's not going to be completely back to normal--she's blind and all her limbs were snapped. I honestly think she'd stay blind simply because Vecna is constantly tied to eye symbolism. It seems like his lasting effect on her would be taking her sight. I'd hope that she would regain some use of her limbs, just because she's so tied to skateboarding--it was one of her happiest memories in S4! Taking away her ability to skateboard seems so cruel. Of course, Max would never be back to how she used to be, but she could regain some function. It would also be great to have a disabled character on the show!
