Garden warfare 2 is still good

It’s been a slow day, and it has left me pondering stuff regarding the Plants vs Zombies universe

Are the humanoid plants in PvZ warfare games just a specialized version of plants that were created by Bloom and Doom co./Crazy Dave, or are they an end result that occurs from a plant spending a lot of time alive that they eventually grow in size and develop anatomical limbs and are able to walk about? 

What does this mean for the areas in the world not pestered by Dr. Zomboss that also have access to these plants, do they have any purpose outside of the zombie slaying, or do they have existential questions as they try to figure out what they are now that they can no longer be used as manufactured soldiers against an undead invasion because it isn’t a worldwide apocalypse?

Do they have rights? 

Can they vote?

Can they apply for a job?

Do they have to pay taxes?

 Are there movements to treat the humanoid plants as equals? 

They clearly show sentience and human speech, is owning one technically slavery? 

Would there be an ethical dilemma of dating one of them since they are technically not human? 

Why is it implied that they can eat human food in some of the flavor text? Is that part of the weird evolution that comes from the anatomy ascension?
