“Extreme/Ultimate/Final Tomato Plant Pruning Stage” — experimental. The idea is that once you have the final tomato fruit cluster growth of the season, you start directing water traffic, and how much photosynthesis you need to finish up the lifetime of the crop. Here, I am pruning ALL suckers and leaves, and topping EVERYTHING off (I don’t need photosysthesis anymore). I call it “plant plumbing” — send water up/down the line. Top layer of compost soil soaked thoroughly (lightly flooded), so that water continues to get in and up the stream, to the fruits.
