It wasn't that Alex was intentionally not eating or super forgetful, it was that he was caught up in his work. Which was also no excuse but the fact that Michael was asking and he didn't remember wasn't a good sign. "Uhhh..." he started as he tried to throw the other off with a charming smile. "Why do you ask?" He didn't want the other to worry about him but here he was worried about Michael worrying about him and that made him smile more.

I was finally able to link my rules. Fuckin hell I hate being in ipad / app mode but at least I can write, that’s what matters.

Michael knew him too well but Alex was okay with that. Michael with the person that Alex had loved and would always love so to him it was a good thing to know each other like that. What he hated was that he would forget about everything else when he got caught up in work, which wasn't fair to Michael. He winced, catching the bag and turning to look at him. "I'm sorry," he said, meaning the apology. "Thank you for the food and for coming. You have my full attention, I promise."

Guerin rolls his eyes. As much as he loves Alex, he also knows how Alex tends to get when he’s caught up in his work. It’s already happened one too many times. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because the last time I heard from you was almost six hours ago and that isn’t normal UNLESS you’re caught up in something.” He said, tossing the bag that Arturo had kindly whipped up for him at the diner. “Besides, you’re denying me attention. I can’t have that so here we are, food for you and boyfriend attention for me. It’s a win-win.”
