I have many thoughts on this topic. I just wanna say first that i dont really want to talk about specifically what mental disorder or whatnot each of these characters have. I have my personal hc that i keep private just cus ive strayed so far from canon or even the classic hetalia 2014 country stereotyping. They are my blorbos in the purset sense of the word. So, i feel like if i told you “yeahh murica is adhd on legs” i think it would come across as insensitive.

But on the other hand, in the past 2 years that ive been in group therapy on and off, i have come to be comfortable with talking about mental disorders and dont find it as triggering or offensive as i know some people do. Which is also very valid. People deal with things the best they can and when youre in the trenches of ocd, having a weirdo (me ✊����) say a fictional character is going through it, it might not sit right. So i wanna keep this as non triggering as possible.

As almost everything i hc, this is something I’ve looked over. And i do agree to a point. Alfred is definitely someone who exhibits traits like excessive talking, impulsiveness, interrupting conversations, difficulty focusing at something that he finds little interest in etc etc. He is easily distracted and tends to find certain people boring. But he also does not have time management skills and he does not forget tasks and plans. Could this be adhd? Sure. Does it have to be? Of course not. So i tend to leave it up in the air. Some people might find comfort in interpreting it as adhd and some would rather stay clear. Both viewpoints equally valid.

Just saw the MLB movie so here are some of my first thoughts!!!

Warning for spoilers ⚠️

So first things first, it was beautiful. The style and animation looked gorgeous and I'm so happy for this upgrade. It was a joy to look at. The new models and sceneries are amazing and it really felt more like Paris. I so wish we could've had the series like this but I understand how expensive this would get so I don't blame them.

Secondly this is clearly an alternate version. It doesn't follow the canon from the series and has a whole different plot. Personally I loved this. The issues that the series has story wise got kinda fixed. Mostly the pacing and the relationship square. I also love how they handled Gabriel/Hawkmoth here. He felt like a decent villain but also a hurt and lost man. And yes he was very hot.

My main complaint with he movie would be it being a musical. The musical parts were very hit or miss. Some parts were beautifully done and really added to see the characters emotions. I saw the movie in my native tongue (Dutch) which made the music songs kind of cringe but I imagine that in English and French it definitely sounds better. Some songs felt too filler like and didn't seem to move the story along. Or were at moments that just didn't fit.

Idk how they'll handle the sequel now that Marinette and Adrien know they are ladybug and chat noir plus they ended up together at the end. We do seem to get a possible sequel based on the ending scene with Nathalie in which I assume she will be the next villain using the peacock miraculous.

To talk more about the characters. I very much lived for Alya. Her screentime was limited but she still managed to steal the show in every shot she got. I even felt like they did Chloe's character much better here. She is still a meangirl for sure, but with Marinette standing up to her much earlier it felt much more balanced. I hope in the next movie we'll get to see the others more cus now it was very limited. The focus really was on ladybug and chat noir. Barely even Adrien tbf.

Lastly I have to say that the score of the movie was very good. It takes a lot for me to notice a score without having to pay attention but they made it really fit in and still let it shine without seeming too bombastic or over the top.

All in all I think the movie was a good move from Zag and I hope they continue this. It seems they are heavily planning to go the superhero franchise route with having different universes based on our heroes. This movie was a solid 8 for me but ofc I've been a fan of the show since the first trailer ever released. So take it with a grain of salt.

Really hoping to see more like this from Zag in the future. Thomas really redeemed himself in this movie.

The Allure of Paris

Paris stole my heart from day one. Iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, and Notre-Dame Cathedral were the scenes I passed to class on a daily basis. I enjoyed evenings along the Seine, running in Les Invalides, eating & shopping in Le Marais, and so much more. I feel at home here now, and it's definitely going to be an adjustment to be back in the U.S. I'll always remember this city for the challenges it posed and the amazing opportunities it brought, and I just hope I can visit again soon.

In Italy, I was awed by Rome's ancient ruins, Florence's Renaissance art, and Venice's romantic canals. The country's history and artistic heritage were incredible. I ate delicious Italian food, from authentic pasta to mouthwatering gelato. Italy taught me to savor life's pleasures and appreciate the beauty of the past. And the best part, I walk a way from Italy with a much stronger knowledge of Italian cooking that I fully plan to put to use.

Spain's vibrant culture and traditions left a lasting impression. From Madrid's bustling streets to Barcelona's architectural wonders, every city had its charm. Experiencing flamenco dancing, enjoying tapas, and witnessing a traditional bullfight were highlights of my Spanish adventure. Spain reminded me to live in the moment and celebrate diversity.

Germany: History and Modernity

Germany's blend of historical significance and modern innovation fascinated me. In Berlin, I visited the Berlin Wall remnants and learned about the city's history. German engineering's efficiency was evident in Munich and Frankfurt. Experiencing Germany's culture, from festive beer gardens to rich musical heritage, deepened my understanding of the country's resilience and progress. Germany reinforced the importance of learning from history to build a better future.

Personal Growth and Lessons Learned

Throughout my time abroad, I experienced tremendous personal growth. Living in a foreign country challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and adapt to new environments. What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again.

Zoe is not able to gain access to Chloe's memories while in Chloe's body, because unlike Chloe, Zoe knows she's in the wrong body. In New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette. Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.

10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.
