ive come to realize that i do like coconut but pretty much only in savory things. in desserts im not usually that into it. i LOVE coconut curries and coconut shrimp. i can also do an almond joy or mexican coconut candy. but recently with the mango sago and the haupia ive been underwhelmed... however mango sticky rice is one of the best things in the world and actively slaps!!

#hm.. maybe salt is mandatory because the haupia and the mango sago did not call for salt whatsoever but obviously savory coconut dishes #AND the mango sticky rice call for salt.#plain coconut milk does have this watery bland quality that maybe can only be fixed with salt. im a genius #ive avtually thought of making a savory version of haupia where its just coconut milk and starch and a small amount of salt to bring out th #flavor more but no sugar #i could try adding a small amout of salt to my next mango sago servingn tomorrow.. ooooo
