I started this at the beginning of last fall semester and now i've finished it.... a year later-

this is my fave thing ever

innocence kills me bc amicia went back to her home after being chased out, only to find it infested and too dangerous to allow her to even mourn. and yet the one place in the house left untouched- hugo’s room- is the one place amicia never knew. like how he’s the only person she has left, but is the only one she was never close to before.

it’s such a perfect demonstration of how much she’s lost, and how much she’s been forced to change.
