I'm ashamed to say this is my very first digital art of a plague tale requiem (not apt general cuz I've made some arts during 2019-2022). anyways, AMILIE canon in my heart 🐀🐀🙌🏽🙌🏽 and Sophia is their mother figure ⚓⚓

Hugo would definitely obligate them to run everytime he could! in my mind they're all living together in the mountains and nobody can tell me otherwise

One year has passed and oh- I still love this game so, so much.

I wish I could forget this wonderfull masterpiece to do it all over again. And again. To discover the story, meet the characters again. To hear this marvelous OST for the first time again. I beg you, if you have never played this game, DO IT NOW. Stop everything you’re doing right now and buy those games, and play it, play it all night, until morning comes if you have to, until you cried so much your heart is nothing but a dry potato but you still feel weirdly happy about it and the chance you had to finish what is possibly one of the best video game of this decade.

Plague Tale Requiem (Spoilers for the game)

Jus a rant about plague tale requiem, stop reading if you haven't played the game yet and wish to at some point. I hate how beautiful the story is, I hate how they did manage to give so much depth to the characters that I wanted nothing more than to see them happy. I hate how they captured love between siblings. I hate how much freaking sad its still making me thinking bout this game's ending. I hate how they gave us hope and yanked it away. She deserved better, her brother deserved better. I shouldn't be thinking too much about this, cuz its jus a game, but here I am, still crying about how it ends.

Asobo Studio, its been a while since I cried this hard.

Don't mind me, just listening to the A Plague Tale: Requiem Soundtrack.

It's as beautiful and as haunting as ever. It's something else, this music. What a masterful soundtrack.

This game has one of those stories that gets under your skin and just.... lingers there. A few music notes are enough to bring every emotion and everything you love about the game back to life.

Brilliant games do that.

Just a reminder for my fellow APT fans! Requiem will have its first anniversary October 18th! That’s just a few weeks away! I’m definitely going to be posting that day, probably a fanfic chapter and a bunch of in game pics I’ve taken.

I think it would be awesome if we all posted something Plague Tale oriented on October 18th to show Asobo how much we loved their game! 🥰 you absolutely don’t have to, but if you can, I think it would be awesome and such an encouragement to Asobo! ❤️

Can we just talk about the importance of this scene?

Amicia experiences an anxiety attack without knowing what one even is. At the end of the scene, she says “what’s happening to me?” As she views her shaking, sweaty palms.

As someone who has experienced anxiety and panic attacks themselves, the first time I played this scene I remember saying out loud “You’re having a panic attack babe.” I felt so much empathy for her. I just wanted to comfort her because I could relate so much to what she was going through. I felt like I was really in her shoes. The theme of anxiety is portrayed so well and accurately in the game.💔 Does anyone else suffer from anxiety and feel the same way?

Although Amicia is not aware of what is happening to her body, she acknowledges the physical symptoms she’s experiencing, including: sweaty palms, (Amicia mentions this in this scene) lightheadedness (Amicia says she’s ‘dizzy,’) shaking, (evidently shown with her hands shaking throughout multiple scenes) and shortness of breath.

Although she doesn’t truly understand the anxiety, it’s made clear during the barn scene when she says: “I’m tired of being afraid!” That she’s aware she’s experiencing extreme fear, for Hugo’s condition and fear or losing him. This is shown when she mentions multiple times throughout scenes: “We’re losing time.” Of course, Lucas was there to help her through it all and risked his own life to get the nightshade for her sake. You can tell he loves her that much and would do anything for her. 🥺💖

Adrenaline prepares you for a freeze, flight or flight response from a sense of ‘danger.’ Amicia’s response (true to character) was to fight, to kill the threat and to rescue Lucas after unwillingly putting him in danger. Hence, why she completely loses control and her own sanity out of suppressed fear in the barn fight.

I wish they explored Amicia’s anxiety further throughout the rest of the game as I feel it kind of just stops at the prison scene with Lucas. However, I understand the barn scene was the final climax from the build up of the anxiety. It was an extremely emotionally intense scene. The irrationality of Amicia's actions in her state was incredibly written. I’m also aware that anxiety can come and go out of nowhere. At the end of the day, it is a game that needed to be consistent paced, rolling along as it focuses on the main story of finding ‘the cure.’

PS: A bonus video for you guys. Lucas is the perfect companion and support system for Amicia. He really observes her, the fact he looks close enough he sees her shaking… 😭 if that ain’t love I don’t know what is.

Lucas cares so much for her well-being and knows she’s ‘troubled’ but doesn’t know exactly how to help but be by her side. In Amicia’s words from ‘Innocence’:“It warms the heart.”🥺💖
