—thoughts;
It was breezy on the balcony that day. And, as usual, they sit. Waiting. Waiting for the thought of her to get away. Unlike the rest of the world, whose thoughts move a mile a second, theirs are still. Stuck. Stuck on one person.
A person whose hair is as dark as the sky they're staring at. A person whose eyes are cliches as they shine as bright as the lights on the construction crane nearby. Blinding. Distracting even. They try to think of anything else, but the tranquility of the night offers no help. They try to read a book; hoping it would create a ripple in the still water. But, alas, everything circles back to her.
They know it is useless to try and revert their thoughts. It's impossible when their mind can only focus on the most precious thing known to mankind. If mankind only consists of them, that is. They stop trying. They thought maybe one day they'd regret not cherishing these thoughts.
At least now, they can still remember everything so vividly. Her voice, her laugh, her awkward smile, and just every little thing she does. The way she scratches her ears when she's nervous. The way her face goes red at the slightest compliment; she was always bad at receiving them. Or how she was in such a mood in the mornings, not showing a single smile til after a cup of coffee.
They should cherish these thoughts. These thoughts won't stay as vivid years from now. As much as these thoughts act like salt to such a fresh wound, thoughts are all they have left. All that is left of her. It hurts to remember. Because, now, all the things about her, are only in their head. No longer are they able to see her bright eyes. No longer are they able to hear her laugh. And no longer are they able to make her red with a flood of compliments. They can no longer cherish her. Not in the way they want to cherish her. Not in the way she was supposed to be cherished.
At this thought, a tear finally escapes their eyes. It was clear. Only thoughts can remain. And one day, they too would fade.

I don't get it guys. You go to school and your teachers say "don't plagirize it's bad" and if you do plagirize, there are consequences. If it's not your work, then you shouldn't pass it off as your work. It's pretty simple. Just changing a few words around isn't okay either. And when you use a source, you need to cite it.
And yet, so many people are okay with art theft? It happens all the time and it's like. The same concept except, instead of words, it's visuals. So what gives?

With how diverse it is, I'm surprised the Shadowhunters Chronicles aren't more popular. Like, there are PoC in it... straight, gay, bi, and lesbian people/couples... transexual, and autistic people... And three people that I think are going to end up in a polyamorous relationship together. Edit: Also, strong and diverse heroines who are all the leads of these series (though there are major guy characters too, of course. Usually each series has a main girl and main guy, but the main girl is actually slightly at the head. And of course there are other superb female and male heroines and heroes outside of those mains).
I know people have issues with Cassandra Clare, whatever those are, but I try to stay out of famous peoples' personal lives... And at least some of what I've read seems hypocritical. Like, you hate Cassie for doing so much with the Shadow World, but NOT Rick Riordan for doing so much with the Percy Jackson one, etc. What?
I guess the biggest thing is that people think The Mortal Instruments is just Cassie's Harry Potter fanfiction "The Draco Trilogy", and have issues with it for that. But, personally? I don't care. It's its own story and different enough from HP to me where I DON'T think it's plagirism. And the later series are completely OCs, not somewhat based on pre-existing characters at all. And I just- every story out there is secretly based somewhat on another one (since everything's already been done), or real people, so it doesn't matter to me. It's all about how you do it, and I think she did it well. Even Lindsay Ellis is okay with this series, and when people say it feels too "fanfic-y" to her for the above reason and others, she says Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray feel more fanfic-y to her (not that Twilight is fanfiction, of course), because their stories don't even start until the girl meets the guy.
And then... while I'm GLAD people got into this world through S*hadowhunters--or gave it another chance through it--I find it so disheartening that so many S*hadowhunters fans hate on the source material, where they wouldn't even have the version they like if the novels hadn't come first.
And I'll admit I'm biased and prefer the books, but I just find some of the arguments S*hadowhunters fans have against the books to be silly.
For instance, a lot of S*hadowhunters fans prefer that in the show, Clary and Isabelle are friends right away, instead of being leery of each other at first and then eventually forming a strong friendship. And they think that book!Clary and book!Isabelle not liking each other at first, because they've only ever had guy friends and society has taught them to be jealous of other girls and to think they're going to steal what's theirs, is toxic. And it is. But that's the point! Sadly, society DOES teach us this (especially at the time these books came out/take place in), so I think it's nice Cassie tackled this real life thing and DID show how dumb it is--that Clary and Isabelle came to realize--when they actually allowed themselves to become friends. And there's character development for them this way, that there isn't in the show. And makes it all the more meaningful when they DO become friends... The show also tried to do too much with them, and make them want to be parabatai, when that's a Clary and Simon thing (showing guy and girl best friends CAN be just friends), and no.
I just- I feel like the show knew we like our ships and our friendships, and wanted them all to be together right away (and kissing, for the couples), but that that took away from the meaningfulness and impressive journeys it took to get there.
People also want more Magnus and Alec, and the show definitely catered to them some there... But people who hate the novels because there isn't more Magnus and Alec bother me some. First off, be glad that Cassie was one of the first writers to do this kind of couple and stuff from the get-go--when most wouldn't have at the time; and her work has given adapters a jumping off point to do more with Magnus and Alec if they want, like Shadowhunters did--but also... this is Jace and Clary's story (and, no. It's not because they're the straight couple), because they're the "children" of the Big Bad, who everyone think is going to be like him but have to prove the whole story that they won't be. Like, even if you dislike Clace--and even as an avid Clace shipper myself, I get why people would--you have to at least respect that they have to get page screen and screentime because of that, right?
Also, Cassie is doing so much for Alec and Magnus now! And she'd already done a lot, like in the Bane Chronicles that details all the important part of Magnus' life. And now she's doing an entire series for them. Be happy about it. They definitely get the second most after Clace, even in the books that you all complain about. Sizzy doesn't get NEAR this much, for example... or any other Shadow Hunters Chronicles couple.
And I will also say, that if you didn't like The Mortal Instruments... well, that's fine. We all have our tastes. Even I admit that The Mortal Instruments series isn't perfect (nothing is), and that at this point it's probably still my favorite Shadow Hunter Chronicles series just because of nostalgia (I'll even admit that I think S*shadowhunters, and even the movie, DID improve on it in some areas). But Cassandra Clare becomes a better and better writer all the time (The Infernal Devices is better than The Mortal Instruments, and The Dark Artifices is better than all three), so if you didn't like the first series, maybe give one or both of those a go. If you want.

All in all we are just human beings
Assalamualaikum and hye everyone. How are you guys doing? I haven't been updated anything on my tumblr for ages. Pardon me. I'm so busy with my studies and extra curricular activities in uni. #alazypersonhasalotofexcuses. Hehe. Back to the title. So, Alhamdulillah.. I have the mood to write about this sole thing which is norm in our society. I'm pretty sure, everyone must at least has the thought about this once in their lifetime. *drum rolls* It's about our life, guys !
Being a normal human being, it is normal for us to have this tiny spot of jealousy in our hearts. You don't feel jealous at all? You must be kidding me😂 Well I guess that's good, cause too much of jealousy is harmful. But the point is, I wrote TINY SPOT. Haha nevermind. Let just stop arguing over this thing.
From my point of view, having jealousy in one self can also bring benefits. We just have to make that our level of jealousy is in mediocre. I do believe that doing things moderately is much better that excessive except for seeking blessings from The Almighty. I admit that the key to happiness is doing thing moderately. Too much can cause harm, too little is bad somehow. For example, too much exposure to social media can cause addiction, increasing insecurities and trespassing the privacy of someone while on the other hand, without social media, the person has no idea what is happening to the world (she may not what's trending on youtube too, lol) - that's me.. The person also will have unsufficient general knowledge and she may have no ideas what to talk and share with people surrounding. See. So, there are pros and cons of too much and too little.
Oh wait, this isn't the point I'm going to talk about. Duhh. So here it is. In my opinion, jealousy can trigger me to reach the action potential to work horder. For example, when I saw one of my coursemates got a star from Prof K (not her real name) on her opinion, I was envied cause mine had none star at all. I want my opinion to be aknowldege by the professor too :( Due to that jeolousy, I went to the library to search for the reference books and borrowed those two "thin" books. That moment while carrying those book and standing in the line to get into bus, while getting the stares from whoever I passed by literally made me feel like a first year doing the fourth year thesis *insert glitter stars emoji*. I went all out for my essay on normal language development. I even downloaded this one app on plagirism (ignore my spelling mistake). And in the end, I was among the first student to submit the assingment. *flips tudung*. Frankly speaking, jeoluosy does give a positive impact to me. This is somehow like an appreciation post to my jealousy for doing a good job. Yall must be saying this girl has no chill, she got jealous over little thing like a drawn star. A star made by kindergarten teacher when you completed all your homeworks correctly. Yeah guys, I do get jealous easily especially regarding on the assignments etc.
However, due to mis-jealousy, people nowadays start feeling insecure towards others happiness. They don't fell content for what they are having right now. Those human beings start to take things for granted. You may be dreaming of waking up in someone's else living but someone also may want to live your life. Proven! Human is so greedy and ungrateful. It's normal for us to adore someone's living but what's more important is to be grateful on what you have today :) Something worth are waiting for you. InshaAllah.
I think that's all from me for his time. Thanks for reading. And hoping you guys a great day ahead. Keep smiling and don't forget to smile because who knows your smile brings calmness to others.
Signing off,
Littlebear🐻
