My Favorite part of writing a new campaign is creating my “Boss” encounters, and setting up the scenarios! . I try to create original monster stats and like to use created miniatures or figures not necessarily meant for table top gaming for those special encounters. It can help create a really unique feel to the battle adding that special something to let your players know things just got serious. I recommend picking a cool piece for your boss then creating your monster based on what you have to work with. Take the ‘Rathtar’ figure from Star Wars. You would definitely want to give your monster a multi attack of some kind for all those tentacles. Maybe even a swallow whole attack or a good grappling attack. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a shot. It’s worth the effort GM’s. So I love building my own maps, but the gorgeous pieces that @Dwarvenforge has made available to DMs always take my breath away. Had to pick up something. I decided some floor tiles for quick improve maps would be a useful thing to have in my equipment and it allowed me to show some love to those making it their living! —————————————————————————————————————————— A little forest pond as Placeable Terrain! My large Enchanted forest map had to get left in the car, and of course that day the temp hit 104 degrees! Ruined the map. Warped it and every pond and water fall, fashioned from wax, melted away and into the cardboard. Devastating. Moving forward I salvaged parts that I could fix up. I got out of it two smaller maps I’ve been working on, and a few small pieces I’ve been sprucing into some terrain, Like This One! I’ll share more soon!
