Today, in another installment of Tanga Pa Rin Ang UP Admin, the Shopping Center caught fire earlier today and almost nothing was left of it. I never properly gauged how affected I felt until I told my siblings and I almost cried both times. God, that hurt. I am inexplicably sad because for five years, SC was like one of my homes in the campus. The first time I went to UP, if I remember correctly, was for a medical exam; after which, my dad and I went to Rodic's for lunch. From then on, SC always held a special place in my heart. I've so many memories (and most of those with so many people) in that building - Rodic's breakfasts, Zagu and FIC trips, Mashitta and Lola Lita's lunches, random burger finds, all kinds of printing at Blessing's and Alicia's + rush 1×1 photo runs at so many random stalls, tambays at Maroons, randomly passing by the hallways especially at night, and so so much more. God, my heart hurts.

But more than anything, I am beyond pissed. My heart goes out to all stall owners who have gone through so much what with the admin continuously holding unreasonable conditions over them. God, they just raised rent prices and they can't even make sure the building has the proper safety and security measures (also applies to how there seems to be no proper maintenance in most buildings, considering most of them are already really old). Instead, they focus on the pipe-laying which really is just detrimental because of the road construction ugh and letting the capitalists make profit from inside the campus ugh. Kakahiya, pisting yawa. Now, we can only hope that these owners, and likewise their customers, are properly compensated for their losses. We can only hope that they receive better treatment in the future. We can only hope that the SC won't be replaced with another establishment which only seeks to make profit and undermine the small businesses in the campus.

(Also, am mad at people thinking the UP community deserves this because of the frequent mass mobs and calls against the administration. Really, you believe in this being bad karma against the community? I can only hope the universe brings this back to the people who think of this; this is too much negativity and inhumanity to send out into the universe and I hope you all receive that karma back. Nakakahiya kayo, 'di kayo tao.)

((Extremely pissed off at UP students who say SC was nothing but an old building and should instead be replaced by newer establishments, such as McDonald's. Kakahiya kayo, have you not learned anything at all about the campus? Can't really blame them that much though, what with this system we have. *barfs*))
