This was the first assassin costume I ever made and it started my love of cosplaying Assassin’s! I still hope to do a fem Jacob one day, and maybe even Eivor (I still need to pre order Valhalla 😅). Our Assassins den is finally coming together. I haven’t been very active on Instagram for a while, and recently I moved out of the house I was because I graduated. @schnikeman @queenofotters and I moved in together, and now we’re starting to get our stuff out of boxes and up on walls and whatnot. YEP pretty much. I think the fandom kind of assumes that all people who play a Lavellan play them the same way? Which is ridiculous. Lavellan inquisitors are just as diverse as any other race. They all have distinct and varied personalities, they don’t all conform to the same template of poor, naive, wide-eyed Solas romancers who love trees and worship the elven gods. 

I’m always very disappointed when Lavellan is reduced to the Solas romance and nothing else. Plenty of people who play Lavellan have no interest in Solas, just as plenty of people who play Adaar or Cadash or Trevelyan really like Solas and want to know more about him.

Lavellan sometimes had this habit of sleepily walking down to the rotunda when she couldn’t sleep. She found comfort in the calming presence of Solas and before she knew it she’d somehow fallen asleep, often leaning on him. He didn’t seem to mind this so she continued doing it. Thinking of how that ritual had started always made her smile, even if she was completely exhausted right now. Lavellan felt like she hadn’t slept properly in weeks so once again she was making her way to the rotunda.  She was met with silence this time. That happened every now and then. She didn’t mind. In those cases she’s fall asleep waiting for him and when morning came she’s wake up to one of his rare smiles. Lavellan fell asleep with the image of his smile in her mind. It was Varric and Dorian that found her in the morning this time. They’d gotten used to finding her here. Every morning she woke up to having her heart broken all over again.
