I truly admire how much Pin has been fighting back the rule of her aunt. She's a very obedient person, so her rebellion is not as firery as Anin's, but I found the scene of her bowing down to beg her aunt extremely powerful. I felt it very strongly. Even if it's not anger, or bold, upfront resistance, it's not passive or weak either. She IS standing up for their relationship, by showing the extent of her devotion not to her aunt but to Anin and their love. She is showing what she's ready to do. I am honestly not familiar with the weight of such a deep bow culturally, but I would assume that it means A LOT since we've never seen any character of this social status doing it before in the show (except her aunt when she met her sadly dead girlfriend, but it was to indicate subordination since she was going to work for her. And frankly, the parallel is parallelling). This moment of confrontation between them might be my favorite of the episode frankly, except Anin's declaration at the end OF COURSE

Pin resisted as much as she could in all the ways she could, and I'm not blaming her for breaking in the next episode and accepting the mariage. She does respect and love her aunt, and she is also very aware of her social status. She will do her duty because she's been raised to know her place and I would never blame her for that. It's just heartbreaking and unfair, but it's also very understandable.

sometimes I think I don't have many thoughts or feelings about Ema, but then I think about her returning from Europe after her studies, failing to get the job she's dedicated her life to since she was a teenager, finding out that the man who saved both her and her sister got disbarred for submitting false evidence, being assigned to the prosecutor who got him disbarred, and running to find him only to be greeted by this slippery, silent stranger who won't talk about what he did or what really happened, and who's behaving just like her sister did for years, and I think about how powerless she is to help him because he won't let her, because he won't trust her, just as Lana hadn't for so much of her life, and how he should know better than to do that to her, but he doesn't or maybe he just doesn't care, and I think about Ema who came back full of hope and conviction only for that all to turn to dust in her hands in a matter of days, and I realise I do think about her a lot actually.

I do think you should understand that simply being outdoors and feeling the outdoors aren’t one in the same. You can stand outside and freeze your bones off and you won’t achieve anything, but also could stand outside in the freezing snow in nothing but a T-shirt and feel the cold like a running warmth around your mind - welcoming you to its home and taking you in as itself. there’s nothing inherently wrong with being unable to feel that second one at first, and you might even struggle to be able to find a way to tune into such a state, but it will come. Some time, some where. Even I at times don’t always get the desired effect! I can cry from the beauty of existing one moment then in 3 minutes complain about the biting chills. one moment - wether it be an hour or a second or a day, feel welcoming and happy— the other, indifferent and bored. And that’s all alright!
