Happy 28th Anniversary to A Pinky and The Brain Christmas!!!

If you want to find the quickest way to make me cry, look no further than this episode. I watch this every year around Christmas and it gets me in that happy holiday mood. It's funny, it's emotional, it's in my opinion the most important episode in Pinky and The Brain's history. The plot seems so simple, yet it has layers of complexity that make it so much more interesting. The ending, holy crap the ending. When Brain reads Pinky's letter to Santa, the sheer raw emotion in this scene is unbeatable. The animation, writing, and voice acting all come together in harmony to craft the most pivotal and emotional moment in not only PaTB history, but in Animaniacs history. The globe keychain is an important symbol and it's very sweet how Pinky was so considerate of Brain. Just seeing Brain sob his eyes out is a powerful image, especially for such a usually uptight character. I'm convinced that "A Pinky and The Brain Christmas" was the episode that not only changed Brain's personality in the writers' eyes and overall, but it was the episode that shaped Pinky and Brain's relationship into the way we see it today. Whether you ship Brinky or not, it cannot be underestimated how important this episode was and still is to fans, the people who worked on the show, and even to the voices of Pinky and Brain themselves, who actually cried while recording the ending bit. Happy Anniversary "A Pinky and The Brain Christmas!" I hope to continue watching this for many more years in the future.

For those who don't know, he is Pinky and Brain's canonical biological merged clone/child...not even joking, its canon, I'm serious (Still cant believe this episode was real, watch the episode called "Brinky" for context, he also was in a comic but I forgot which issue). (OLD ART BELOW) I used to draw them like this, Brain has a small head wtf, Pinky's eyes have a small gap between them also i gave him extra fluffy ears for fun, and their bodies are too human, not enough mousey proportions. (These are life sized pinky and brain cut outs I made for Halloween in 2021 which I still think is pretty cool despite the older art, they are 4 inches and 6 inches...life sized 😭💖.)

I forgot how large of a scale this hyperfixation is...so be prepared (if I end up posting lots of stuff lol, I post whatever I want here lol)

Don't panic Smg4 fans who follow me! (which might be most of you) I'm still hyped about Smg4 (I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE CURRENT ARC), but you may have to deal with the fact I have a lot of other interests, and I'm remembering how much I LOVE THESE FUCKING LAB MICE (and warner siblings, and all of animaniacs lol). Summary: Lando finds himself battling unexpected jealousy when he discovers that Amelie is on a date with Mick Schumacher, someone he’s always kept at arm's length.

Lando slouched back in his chair, absently swirling the drink in his hand as he listened to Charles ramble about some boat party planned for Saturday night. The usual pre-race Thursday dinner was in full swing—George, Alex, and Charles sitting around the table at La Vie en Bleu, an overpriced French restaurant with dim lighting and a pretentious atmosphere. It was the kind of place Charles liked to pretend he was a regular at, and the rest of them tolerated because he always got them a good table.

But something felt… off.

Lando drummed his fingers against the table before finally voicing the thought nagging at him all night. —Where’s Amelie?—

Alex barely glanced up from his menu. —Not coming.—

Lando frowned. —Why?—

Alex’s lips twitched, and George let out a quiet chuckle, sharing a knowing look with Charles.

—She’s on a date,— Alex finally said, flipping the page like he hadn’t just casually thrown a grenade onto the table.

Lando’s brain short-circuited.

—A date?— he repeated, the word foreign in his mouth.

Alex hummed in confirmation, eyes scanning the wine list. —With Mick.—

Lando blinked.

Then blinked again.

—Mick?— he echoed, like if he said it enough times, it would start making sense.

—Mick Schumacher,— Charles clarified unhelpfully, smirking.

—No, I fucking know which Mick!— Lando snapped, sitting up straight.

George snorted into his drink, and Alex finally glanced up, looking far too amused.

Lando clenched his jaw. His grip on his glass tightened. He could feel the heat rising up his neck.

He knew Mick had been trying to get a date with Amelie for months—had been annoyingly persistent about it all season. But Lando had never entertained it, never passed on a message, never encouraged anything. Because at the time, Amelie had been with him.

And now?

Now she was on a fucking date.

His stomach twisted, a slow, simmering irritation bubbling under his skin.

Charles grinned, clearly enjoying this far too much. —Mick’s been obsessed with her since Bahrain. Can you blame him?—

George shook his head with a dramatic sigh. —I don’t know, man. Mick’s a nice guy. Maybe they’ll hit it off.—

—Imagine if she actually likes him,— Alex added, pretending to be deep in thought. —They’d be cute together. And he’s German. She likes German things. She likes her cats.—

Lando stared at him, unimpressed. —Are you comparing Mick Schumacher to her fucking cat?—

Alex shrugged.

—I’m just saying, she clearly has a thing for Germans. Maybe Mick’s her type.—

Lando scoffed, sinking further into his chair. Her type. What the fuck did that even mean?

Alex was still talking, but Lando wasn’t listening. His mind was stuck on the fact that Amelie was out right now—laughing at Mick’s jokes, tilting her head the way she did when she was amused, probably twirling the stupid little gold ring she always wore on her pinky.

She was supposed to be here.

Not on a date.

His stomach twisted again. He picked up his glass, then set it back down without drinking. His appetite was gone.

Charles, George, and Alex were still grinning like idiots, throwing out hypothetical scenarios about Amelie’s date, but Lando couldn’t take another second of it.

—I gotta go,— he muttered abruptly, shoving back his chair.

George raised an eyebrow. —Where? Dinner just started.—

—Just remembered something.— Lando stood up, grabbing his phone off the table. He wasn’t sure why he even bothered with the excuse. He knew they wouldn’t believe him.

—What, you suddenly remembered you left the oven on?— Alex deadpanned.

—Or is it food poisoning from all the jealousy you just swallowed?— Charles smirked, earning a snicker from George.

Lando rolled his eyes. —Fuck off.— He didn’t wait for more comments, already walking away, his mind spinning.

There was no plan, not really. Just a simmering feeling in his chest, pushing him forward.

As soon as he stepped outside, he pulled out his phone and scrolled down to Max Verstappen’s contact.

Lando: Where are you? Max: In my apartment? Why? Lando: I need you to come with me somewhere. Max: It’s not illegal, right? Lando: It’s Monaco. Even if it was, we’d get away with it. Max: …I don’t like this. Lando: Be outside in five.

Max sent back a middle finger emoji, but five minutes later, he was standing outside his apartment, waiting with an unimpressed expression.

—What are we doing?— Max asked as Lando pulled up in his car.

Lando didn’t answer right away. He was gripping the steering wheel like it had personally offended him, jaw set, mind still stuck on the fact that Amelie—his Amelie—was on a date with Mick Schumacher of all people.

—Lando,— Max pressed, raising an eyebrow. —Where the fuck are we going?—

Lando exhaled sharply. —Amelie’s on a date.—

Max blinked, processing. —Okay…?—

—With Mick.—

Max’s face did something complicated. He knew about the whole whatever Lando and Amelie had been doing for the past year, knew it had ended, but he hadn’t known about this.

—Mick Schumacher?— he clarified, like maybe he’d misheard.

—Yes, Max, fucking Mick Schumacher.— Lando’s fingers tapped against the gearshift impatiently.

Max let out a low whistle, leaning back against the passenger seat. —Damn. Didn’t see that one coming.—

Lando glared at him. —Yeah, well. I need to see it with my own fucking eyes.—

Max’s brows furrowed. —You wanna spy on them?—

—Not spy,— Lando argued, already pulling out of the parking space. —Just… gather intel.—

Max scoffed. —That’s literally spying.—

Lando didn’t care. His foot pressed a little harder on the accelerator.

—This is a bad idea,— Max added, but he didn’t make any move to leave the car.

Lando ignored him.

His hands tightened around the wheel as he drove toward Le Papillon Noir, the upscale restaurant Alex had casually mentioned when he’d blown up Lando’s entire night. Of course Mick would take her somewhere like that—somewhere with dim lighting and overpriced food, where he could try and charm her with his stupid polite smile and whatever the fuck German boys talked about on dates.

Lando hated it. He hated every single second of this.

—You know, if you’re this jealous, maybe breaking up wasn’t the best move,— Max pointed out, arms crossed as he stared out the window.

Lando gritted his teeth. He didn’t need Max fucking Verstappen lecturing him about his life choices right now.

—We had to,— he muttered, mostly to himself.

—Uh-huh.— Max didn’t sound convinced.

Lando stayed silent, focusing on the road.

It wasn’t long before they pulled up near the restaurant. The place was all sleek black exteriors and golden lighting, filled with expensive people eating expensive food. Lando’s stomach churned.

Max sighed. —Alright, so what’s the plan?—

Lando hesitated. In his rush to get here, he hadn’t actually thought that far ahead.

—We, uh… blend in. Sit at the bar. See if we can spot them.—

Max stared at him like he was a lost cause. —Right. Because no one’s gonna notice two F1 drivers randomly sitting at a bar, not being subtle at all.—

Lando ignored him, already getting out of the car.

They stepped inside, the scent of truffle oil and expensive wine filling the air. Lando scanned the restaurant, his pulse picking up when he spotted a familiar head of dark hair at a table near the back.

There she was.

Amelie.

She was sitting across from Mick, laughing at something he’d said, her eyes bright, her hand absently twirling that stupid gold ring she always wore.

Lando felt something burn in his chest.

—Wow. She looks like she’s having fun,— Max commented, unhelpful as always.

Lando wanted to strangle him.

They slipped into seats at the bar, far enough that Amelie wouldn’t notice them, but close enough that Lando could still see.

Mick was talking animatedly, and Amelie was listening, smiling. She didn’t smile like that at just anyone.

Lando hated it.

He sipped his drink, the expensive whiskey burning a path down his throat. It didn’t help. Nothing helped.

—You’re staring, mate,— Max said, nudging him with his elbow.

—I’m observing,— Lando corrected, his eyes still fixed on Amelie.

—Observing her having a good time with another guy,— Max pointed out. —Real productive.—

Lando glared at him. —Shut up.—

He watched as Mick reached across the table, his hand hovering near Amelie’s. She didn’t flinch, didn’t pull away. She just kept smiling, her eyes fixed on him.

Lando’s jaw clenched.

He wanted to march over there, grab her hand, and pull her away. He wanted to tell Mick to fuck off and leave her alone. He wanted to tell Amelie that she was his, even though she wasn’t.

—He’s gonna touch her,— Max whispered, his voice laced with amusement.

Lando’s grip on his glass tightened. He could feel the blood pounding in his temples.

Mick’s hand finally landed on the table, just inches from Amelie’s. She didn’t seem to notice. She was still smiling, still listening.

Lando’s heart pounded in his chest. He was about to explode.

He couldn’t take it anymore. He had to do something.

—I’m going over there,— he announced, pushing back his chair.

Max grabbed his arm. —Are you fucking insane? You’re gonna ruin their date.—

—I don’t care,— Lando hissed, shaking off Max’s grip. —I can’t watch this anymore.—

He stood up, his eyes fixed on Amelie. He started walking toward the table, his steps quick and determined.

—Lando, don’t be an idiot,— Max called after him, but Lando ignored him.

He was almost there. Just a few more steps.

Then, just as he was about to reach the table, Max’s hand clamped down on his arm, pulling him back with surprising force.

—Lando, stop!— Max hissed, his voice low and urgent.

Lando turned, his eyes blazing. —Let go of me, Max.—

—No,— Max said firmly, his grip tightening. —You’re not going to ruin their date. You’re not going to make a scene.—

Lando stared at him, his chest heaving. —They shouldn’t even be on a date!—

—That’s not your call anymore,— Max said, his voice softer now. —You two broke up. You need to respect that.—

Lando’s anger deflated, leaving a hollow ache in its wake. He knew Max was right. He hated that he was right, but he knew it.

He looked back at Amelie. She was still smiling, still laughing, completely oblivious to the turmoil he was going through.

He turned back to Max, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and resignation. —Fine,— he muttered, his voice rough. —But I’m not staying here. I can’t watch this.—

Max nodded, releasing his arm. —Let’s go.—

They walked out of the restaurant in silence, the cool night air a stark contrast to the burning jealousy still simmering in Lando’s veins.

They got back into the car, and Lando started the engine, pulling away from the curb. He drove in silence, his mind replaying the scene over and over again. Amelie’s smile, Mick’s hand, the way she looked at him…

He gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles white. He hated this. He hated feeling like this. He hated that he couldn’t just be her friend.

—You okay?— Max asked, his voice quiet.

Lando scoffed. —Do I look okay?—

Max sighed. —You need to let this go, Lando. You can’t keep torturing yourself like this.—

—It’s not torture,— Lando argued, his voice tight. —It’s… complicated.—

—It’s torture,— Max repeated. —You’re in love with her, and you’re watching her go on dates with other guys. That’s torture.—

Lando didn’t answer. He couldn’t.

Max was right. He was in love with Amelie. He had been for a long time. And watching her with Mick was tearing him apart.

Mod Introduction #1 (Welcome to the Blog! Narf!)

Hellooooooooo Tumblr!!! If you are seeing this, you have stumbled across the newest Pinky and The Brain exclusive blog (as hinted by the title of course!) that will be dedicated to celebrating the legacy, brilliance, and gayness of the PaTB franchise! I am Mod Pinky (my other half will be making an intro very soon) and many of you may know me from my main blog @theonethatyaks93 where I post Animaniacs and PaTB content for a living. I am really glad to share this fun new project with my bestest partner and we are both excited to be sharing our love for the mice with all of you! Now I am aware that the fandom is not as active as it once was, and many blogs like this one have been abandoned. Still, we are excited to be keeping the fandom alive and we are looking forward to helping cement this show into public conscious for a while longer. But enough about that; we'll be making another post to describe the blog in more depth at a later time. Let's get to the fun, actual introduction part of the post:

My History in the Fandom: Surprisingly, I've been involved in the Animaniacs fandom since 2020 and the PaTB fandom since 2021. I got into the show thanks to the trailer for the Animaniacs reboot and I instantly fell in love. I was actually more into the Warner Siblings when I first watched the original series and I spend the first months in the fandom obsessing over them. However in 2021, I got really, REALLY into Pinky and The Brain. I believe it was because I saw people talking about them everywhere. And I started shipping Brinky as well. The mice just appealed to me specifically, and as I was going through the worst time in my life, they were there to help me out. Since then, nearly three years later, I've become an expert in all things PaTB. Pinky and The Brain has actually gotten me interested in other things shockingly, including neurological science and even rodent care, believe it or not. These mice have a death grip on my life and I am looking forward to growing my love for the series even more.

Most Interesting Opinions on the Show:

I really like Snowball. He's my favorite side character from any iteration

Julia (from the reboot) is AMAZING in her second and third appearances. Not in her first

I prefer the fan versions of Billie to her canon character

I do not like Phar Fignewton very much. She isn't a very interesting character

I think Pinky and The Brain thrived in the late 90's while Animaniacs faltered a bit. Seasons 3-5 of Animaniacs had some good episodes but quite a few duds while PaTB had an incredible third and fourth season

To me Brinky is canonized in the reboot. Not in the traditional sense but it's pretty obvious

The reboot PaTB episodes are really good

I am not a big fan of the episode Brainania. It's not bad but I find it a bit slow in the pacing department

Mousechurian Candidate (from the reboot) is the worst episode of PaTB ever made

Pinky, Elmyra, and The Brain is not as bad as people think and there are some good jokes. But it is nowhere near the quality of the rest of the franchise

Pinky is the best character ever created (not biased)

My favorite episodes of the show are usually the ones that focus more on character dynamics and emotion

The animation of the show is very inconsistent. My favorite studios are TMS and Rough Draft since I think they capture how they characters look the best. Wang could be pretty good too but in other episodes they made the mice look strange. Akom did some weird lighting techniques but they did great on the episode Snowball, and the less said about Startoons the better.

I like Pinky and Brain's reboot designs a lot. And I think there are some improvements (i.e. Brain's more expressive face, the details in the designs, Pinky's more angular body, Pinky's tail, their cute little fangs). But I like them in the original series for the softer edges and more classic feel

What am I Going to Do on this Blog: One of my biggest ideas (along with getting to share my love of the mice with everyone and my partner-in-crime) is maybe to do a weekly thing, where I analyze an episode or moment from the show. I also want to review fanfictions and post random funny mouse things. Maybe I can show you guys the comics I have or my ever-growing merchandise collection. I will be opening the ask-box to suggestions at some point so if you want me or my partner to look at a specific moment, feel free to ask. I might even make some Tumblr-exclusive fanfics to post on here too. This is mainly just a fun place for us to express our love for Pinky and The Brain so it might seem random at times. But I can assure you all that I want to do some fun stuff to build up excitement. These are all things I wanted to do on my main blog but I think it will be better to do it here.

Once again, I would like to say that I am really excited for all that we have planned! This is a project I have been secretly wanting to do for a long time, and now I have someone to do it with. My Brain is perfect and I know that we're going to do so many amazing things with this blog! She's the greatest. Stay tuned for another intro coming soon and be prepared for more regular posts to come out in the following days.

She's gloomy and anti social, but very excitable and sweet to her friends. Her sister is Cookie Pie, the daughter of Pinkie Pie and Twilight (Damn, you go girl) which is now her roommate!

Gloom is fascinated by the stars and works as a freelance astronomer, publishing her researches and reports on Ponyville's "Astro Madness" magazine. It isn't reliable since she moved to Ponyville, so she also works as a cashier at the Cupcake Home, Cookie's business and rival of the Blueberry Stand. She's single, as she hasn't been able to find comfort in any other pony and remains hanging out with her family, primarily Golden Noble, as she is very welcoming and listens to her rambles.

That's a lot of lore! I know! I've been having a whole lot of lore for these gals and never get to write it! I've been wanting to write whole fics, but I always get lazy. Maybe I'll get back to it! I did write about her arrival in Ponyville, as my first fan fic ever. I did write a second one, but felt like nobody liked it as it was just a simple fun adventure of her and Obscurer Wonder. I am writing a third one of her and Golden Noble, on their first trip together to Manehattan! Look forward to that I guess!!!

About the art itself! I'm genuinely so proud. I've been experimenting with the anatomy, as I was really unhappy. My best friend gave me some feedback which I really appreciate, and I got to work. It led to the art the other day. Then while browsing I saw some MLP art and I was obsessed with the legs! Can't find the references, but it did make it all click in my brain how to make it all look good. As soon as I got home from work I went straight to SAI and did it! And I'm proud of how she looks! Still unsure about the eyes however, and hope I can improve on that.

Also the design- Oh my gosh it improved so much. Her design in 2021 sucked!!! So my friend did like a redesign to school me about designing an OC (Which I learned a lot from) which led to the 2023 design. In this sheet her design stayed the same really, just made the hair more saturated. But it still looks so much better, despite being the same design.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY ANIMANIACS!!!!!

I just want to say how truly amazed I am with this show. There are very few words that can describe it. I put a few in the picture seen above, but this is barely anything compared to everything I've said. Animaniacs has changed my life in ways that many shows can only dream of. And I'm thrilled to be here today to celebrate its legacy.

I wasn't born in the 90's. I didn't grow up with this show like I know a ton of people did. I was exposed to it, mainly through the Hub Network ads for reruns, the once-in-a-while YouTube video reference, and even in fifth grade when my teacher showed us a clip of "Wakko's America" for our state capital test (which by the way I passed). I didn't acknowledge this show's presence, at least until 2020. That was a rough year, not only for me, but for everyone. Online school sucked. I couldn't see my friends. I was always crying myself to sleep and staying up late just watching videos to wash away my sadness and hurting. It was hell. I didn't have any comfort. At the absolute worst of times around October, I saw that one of my favorite channels posted a video on the trailer for the reboot of a show called Animaniacs. I was curious, mostly since I'd never heard about it before (well, I thought I hadn't). But the way the characters looked and the amount of people talking about it got me interested enough to click on the video. I listened to the reviewer's thoughts, not really understanding much, yet still being enticed to continue. I watched the actual trailer afterwards and...the rest is history.

I instantly fell in love. I watched the trailer on repeat before the reboot's release, laughing and singing along. I researched the show more and discovered a ton of voice actors I knew. I loved the characters, especially Yakko, I listened to the songs, I watched the interviews, and I talked about it constantly to my family and friends. While I didn't have Hulu, I still kept up with the reboot quite heavily. For Christmas, I got my first piece of merch, a T-shirt, and I got the first 25 episodes of the original show. I watched them on repeat with my sister and we both laughed, sang, and danced around whenever the show came on. After taking a fandom break, I got back into the show in 2021, which came with a new appreciation for Pinky and The Brain and fanfiction. Around this time, I was finally able to watch the reboot and entire original series since I got Hulu. My merchandise collection expanded, my knowledge of the show grew exponentially, and my desire to contribute to the fandom was intense. Not much has changed since then. Granted my merchandise collection is bigger, I can do impressions of a few characters, I met some of the voice actors, I joined the community on Tumblr, I actually wrote some fanfiction, and I've seen so many Animaniacs episodes now that it'll make your head spin. I'm so proud to be a super fan.

My appreciation and adoration for the Animaniacs franchise knows no bounds. It changed my life in amazing ways. And I can't believe its thirty years old today. I'm struggling to keep my emotions in right now, it's all so surreal. So, to all my followers I encourage you to give this show all your love today. It deserves it. Thank you Animaniacs. Thank you so much for everything you've done. You have made me a better individual and have fueled my love of animation for nearly three years. I hope you continue to inspire many more like me to laugh, be silly, and sing "Yakko's World" to pass a geography test. Animaniacs is the greatest show of all time, and I'll never stop saying that. The Adventures of Faith Miller - Episode 2

You guys, you're not going to believe this! On July 10th, 2024, I'll be going on a road trip with my dad. For the road trip, I created this story and wanted to show you guys if it was good or not. I'll be putting it in a few parts and yes, this is "The Adventures of Faith Miller" which is a spin-off to "F.L.A.R.E.S to the Rescue".

F.L.A.R.E.S means The Fantastic League of Animal Rescuers and Environment Savers. Without further ado, here's my road trip adventure. Enjoy!

Season 1, Episode 2: Faith's Road Trip Adventure (Part 1)

On a bright July morning in 2025, Faith Miller stood outside her home in Greenville, South Carolina, bouncing on her toes with excitement. She had been looking forward to this Georgia road trip for weeks. Dressed in her magenta one-piece swim dress, Faith was ready for whatever adventures lay ahead. The swimsuit’s skirt flowed just enough to cover the leg holes, and she could feel her bikini underneath, keeping her comfortably cool as she stood under the rising summer sun.

Her purple suitcase, packed to the brim with essentials for the trip, was by her side. Alongside her one-piece, she had tucked in a bikini top and a matching skirt – everything she’d need for pool days and perhaps a stop at the Georgia Aquarium.

Standing beside her, dressed casually in swim shorts under tank tops, were Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche. Rob’s tank featured Pinky’s wide grin, while Maurice’s tank displayed Brain’s trademark glare, a little nod to their iconic characters. They had both packed their own swim trunks for later, eager to take a dip whenever they reached their destination.

“Can we go now?” Faith asked impatiently, her excitement practically bubbling over.

“Just wait 'till my boyfriend gets here,” her mom, Sharon, said with a small smile.

As Faith shifted from one foot to the other, she suddenly noticed another familiar face approaching – none other than Paul Anthony Christie, the voice of Moose A. Moose. Ever since the Noggin app had shut down last year, she hadn’t heard much of his voice, and seeing him now filled her with joy. Paul’s suitcase rolled along behind him as he approached, dressed in red floral-print swim shorts under an orange rashguard.

“Good to see you all!” Paul greeted, waving his hand. He pulled his suitcase open to reveal his own essentials: an extra pair of swim trunks, a smartphone, a generous bottle of sunscreen, and a full-face diving mask with a double-hosed regulator.

“What’s the diving mask for?” Rob asked, raising an eyebrow.

“In case the Georgia Aquarium has a ‘swimming with sea animals’ exhibit,” Paul replied with a grin, looking every bit as enthusiastic as the others. “Can’t miss the chance if they offer it!”

With a playful smirk, Maurice tapped the Brain on his tank top and chuckled. “The Brain and I won’t be swimming with the fishes… but maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll get to see them.”

Beside her, Rob turned to Maurice with a mischievous grin. “So, Maurice, remember when we did the Animaniacs reboot back in November 2020? Well, during Season 2 in November 2021, there was that scene in Plight of Hand where Pinky said,” he paused, switching to his Pinky voice, “‘Vicious? No, Brain. I gave that up after I was banned from the aquarium!’”

Faith’s curiosity piqued, and she leaned forward, sounding exactly like her mom, Sharon. “Okay. But what did Pinky do at the aquarium?” she asked with genuine interest.

Suddenly, a playful fantasy began to form in her mind: Pinky, in his 2020 reboot style, appeared at the aquarium in a retro lime green and dark green Victorian one-piece swimsuit—the same one he’d worn on the Las Vegas trip with Brain to build “Brain’s Palace.”

As she daydreamed, Faith smiled, lifting the hem of her light purple one-piece swim dress to reveal her own favorite swimsuit underneath, complete with its cute red bow on the front. “I even wore my lucky swimsuit today,” she said proudly, holding up the dress just enough to show the adorable details.

“I’m gonna see dolphins, fish, crabs, and octopuses,” she said excitedly.

“Octopi,” Maurice corrected with a chuckle. “The plural of octopus is octopi, Ms. Faith.”

Faith grinned, undeterred. “And more fish! After I see the octopi, I’ll head over to the snack bar for fish and fries, maybe even spot some sea turtles while I eat. Then Brain can join us for fish with fries too!”

Maurice shook his head with a smile, amused by her imagination. “Well, it sounds like you have your day all planned out, Faith.”

“Yup!” Faith replied happily. “I even remembered to pack extra swimsuits!”
