His cake is split in two. He probably has DID with 2 alters. Yea

On the other hand, Mikoto has 3 different flowers that I get to talk about yay! First flower are the small white ones on the cake that look like Cornus Kousa (Dogwood) which symbolize resurrection and rebirth, regret and pity. The flower is often associated with Christianity and Jesus, hence the meaning of resurrection and rebirth. Second is the lavender in his pocket which means purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness. Not a lot to say on this one? I could pull smth out of my ass ab the Nice Mikoto Alter and keeping his silence ab the murder the other alter commited but im not going to bc that takes way too much time and my brain hurts. The final flower is a purple crocus on the cake that represents pride, success, and dignity. Again, I could pull smth out of my ass relating the flowers to the tarot cards in his MV but that requires too much thought, might get back to this later.

Cultivars shown here: Summer Gold Dogwood, a new variety developed in China with creamy yellow flowers and leaves with a yellow stripe around the edge. I offer you a spring and summer tree in this variety for multi-season interest. 

Raging Red Dogwood is native to North America and boasts deep burgundy flowers that turn bright red as they age. Their leaves also put on a good show starting crimson tinged in the spring, greening with age, before turning a deep burgundy in the fall. 

 Pink Kousa Dogwood is native to Korea and has pretty pink blossoms in the mid-spring followed by pretty orange berries that are edible to humans and the typical showy fall foliage of dogwood trees. 

The pale and medium pink dogwoods are both based on the native North American pink dogwood, cornus florida, an important food source for migrating birds in the fall. 

The inspiration for the cherry trees comes from the very many different varieties I’ve observed around the Tidal Basin each spring. I’ve got white for Yoshino, pinks for Kwanzan, Akebono, Afterglow, and Fugenzo. One lone tree with flowers and leaves to represent the Autumn Blooming Cherry which blooms all year.

Last gasp of summer leaning into autumn in our yard

In order: kousa dogwood berries; beechnut from the beechnut tree (impossible to open, excerpt with a hammer); rosinweed (wildflower); a nest I didn’t know has been in the kousa dogwood, I think a robin’s nest; black-eyed susan and wild onions (wildflowers); an “I dunno what this is” wildflower....probably something that grew from seed embedded in bird poop; black-eyed susan; black-eyed susan and sedum just starting to turn color (pink); and giant goldenrod, just starting to bloom, which we didn’t plant, probably another bird poop present. This year, the black-eyed susan have been on steroids or something; they won’t give up.
