his mother had been a well-known costume designer for said events, often bringing him along to watch those amazing shows of aestheticism. perhaps that was where he acquired his taste for elegance, but regardless, it stood out to him as the obvious next move. it just so happened that along came a trainer of similar strength to the champion that had struck him down previously. it was no surrender, don’t get him wrong, but he lost gracefully to the challenger. even with his new team, he had been unable to defend against their attacks—it was obvious they had done their research on his team, and he had so much more to learn.

now that the title of elite was off his shoulders, he chose busan as his new home, having been offered a job at judging their contest halls. he had no right to be doing so, with his lack of experience, but they insisted upon hearing of his mother’s legacy. he agreed on the condition that he could still participate in said contests on his days off, and that he was to be judged with unbiased eyes. they agreed to his insistence eventually, granting him a new chance at victory.
