Ripple Effect by SabreCMC (18k) - After the events of Infinity War, Steve is sent back in time on a desperate mission to find the Tesseract. Instead, he meets up with 21-year old Tony, still reeling from his parents' deaths. Who, naturally, tries to climb Steve like a tree. Somehow, this fixes everything.
Rated: Teen? It's a chapter in a large fic, but I'd say Teen for this one
Warnings: Tony is 21, drunk, and making questionable decisions. Might make some people uncomfortable.
Thoughts: OMG just Steve characterization in this is so interesting to me and very deep. I always enjoy Sabre's fics and this one is just knocked right out of the park. There's so much tragedy in Steve in the beginning when he goes back in time and tries to figure out what to do.
Note: You'll need to be logged into Ao3 to read this one.

Summary: Captain America and Iron Man had gotten off on the wrong foot - there was no question about that. Maybe it was because Tony Stark had grown up knowing, thanks to Howard, that Captain America would despise everything about him. Or maybe it was because Steve Rogers had no idea how to handle the world he had woken up in, and the man in the Iron Man armor was a dazzling display of everything the 'future' had to offer. No matter the reason, things had not gone well during that initial meeting. Tony was fine with that, honest. There was absolutely no pouting on his part because Cap didn't want to be his friend. He wasn't even that upset about the way Cap could hardly stand to look at him. It was fine. Completely. His feelings weren't hurt even a little. Steve hasn't been able to look away from Tony since they met. Once his initial fumbling was over and he came to terms with the fact that he'd survived the crash after all... well. He'd fallen fast and hard for the flashy inventor. He just doesn't know how to get the idiot to understand that.
Rating: Teen
Warnings: General Howard being a shitty dad warning.
Thoughts: This is such a mix of rip your heart out over Tony and Steve's insecurities and past hurts and fluff about how they feel about each other that it'll really suck you in.

Summary: Steve is trapped in a dream machine, programmed to make him believe he's living his happiest fantasy. Tony goes inside to wake him up, but what he finds is a lot more complicated than he expected.
Rating: Not Rated (But I’d say Gen to Teen)
Warnings: Post-CA:CW
Thoughts: Going to be honest, I usually stay away from MCU fics after the “break up” in CW, but this one was sweet and well written. It’s strikes me as something Tony really would do and how he would react. And you get a happily aiming open ending.

Summary: A Soulmate AU where people meet their soulmate in their dreams. Of course, not even that solves all the world's problems, especially if one or more of the soulmates has a secret identity…
Other Pairings: Tony/Others (casual)
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: 9/11 mention, Tony casually with multiple other people and it mentions he's not even 18 yet at the start of it.
Thoughts: I really enjoyed this. There was something fun about Steve being stuck in time in the dreamscape while he got to see Tony grow up after meeting him there. Also the ending is so much fun. and I loved Winnie the Librarian.

Summary: Tony and Steve can't stand each other, but they agree for the sake of the team and the people that rely on them that they have to figure out a way to get along. So they come up with a plan to spend time together, in the form of a Buzzfeed listicle of things to do in New York City. Because if you go to enough museums with the guy you can't stand, you should *eventually* stop hating him, right? *** Come for the slow burn, stay for everyone's opinions on Cats the musical and a story about teenage Tony stealing an ice cream truck in an attempt to get laid.
Rating: Teen
Other pairings: Clint/Natasha (QPR), Thor/Jane
Thoughts: This is fun and funny. They fall in love trying to be friends and then have a terrible time getting together because they’re both stubborn. Plus a hefty dose of Avengers as family. Especially if you keep going to the sequels.

Summary: So what, Steve wants to draw Stark. He gets that all the time. And usually, once he's completed his sketch, he moves on. But for some reason, he just can't seem to get Stark right. And everyone knows Steve is a perfectionist- he won't sit still until he can draw that man's face with his eyes closed. And in order to do that, he's gotta go see him again, right? Except it kind of escalates from there.
Rating: Teen
Thoughts: This is a bit of a roller coaster and I imagine that’s because loving Tony would be like being on a roller coaster constantly and that’s exactly how Steve feels.

Summary:  There are three main ingredients to a good adventure. The fighting for your life and running away parts are just added fun.
Rating: Teen
Warnings: period-appropriate implications of homophobia
Thoughts: This is a really fun and funny adventure story with a side of flirtations that turn into romance. Some of Steve’s internal thoughts throughout this are hilarious.

Summary: Steve finds himself grinning, despite everything, because god, he didn't realize how much he's missed this- having someone to back him, people to fight around, getting caught and pulled to his feet. Hell, even Stark's quips make his mouth quirk upwards slightly.
Rating: Teen
Thoughts: I just really adore the buildup in this one. I like how the focus is all on the relationships their building as a team and their internal thoughts.

Summary:  Tony is slow, has very little self-worth, and thinks that the universe hates him as much as he hates himself. Everyone else is long-suffering, especially Steve, because disproving that notion could take a while.
Rating: Teen
Warnings: Extrememly low self worth, vaguely suicidal tendencies via neglect
Thoughts: I really adore fics where Tony’s forced to realize that other people care about him. This is a slightly more painful realization that most, but it’s great.

Summary: Cap is disappointed. Predictably things start to Go Very Bad for Tony.
Rating: Teen
Thoughts: This is really cute, I like how it approaches their relationship and Tony dealing with non-Avengers business and his run of bad luck.
Notes: Marvel's Adventures 'verse
