Bought this last weekend at Pimpernel's Rhone Release cellardoor tastings. Thought it would age beautifully—and it has! Enticing nose of melon, ripe peach and apricot delight; medium to full bodied palate of peach, green apple, ripe apricot, hints of butterscotch and more. So much more. YVCD's Pick of The Week wine is @pimpernelvineyards 2015 estate Chardonnay. How good is it? You’ll have to drop in to Pimpernel cellar door to find out for yourself—but here’s a tasting note from @benstasting — “Delicate stone-fruit, cashew and hint of brioche nose, peach, apricot, ruby grapefruit, nectarine and citrus palate with medium long acid and hazlenut finish; at once tight and voluptuous.” N.B.
