I have this silly idea… lets imagine Loki (Gamora and Nebula too) can be free from Thanos and infinity war doesn’t happen at all.
Thanos influence wilted and died at some point and the universe is free of that ugly wrinkled wet paper tissue of a titan.
Loki’s punishment after the avengers wasn’t staying in a cell at Asgard, instead he was forced to do a sort of “community service” in Midgard.
Meaning: helping the Avengers and however of the team needed his assistance on missions.
He could do magic but restricted, of course. He couldn’t do malicious or destructive magic (nor illusions) at all.
Except at enemies and in that context it was also more controlled.
That didn’t stop him from annoying the team sometimes.
Doing mischief is in his name, a little bit of jokes and games is expected, right? On his own words he does it to “spice things up”
One of those things was making Steve stop talking for a while. Making him partially mute. In a harmless way of course.
(It sounds worse than it actually is)
Loki’s reasoning is that Steve talks and expresses more of what others expect of him than talking his mind. He got used to going through the motions, and being by himself, only caring when other people are in danger/at risk. Once they got to Bucky it was making sure Bucky was okay and comfortable.
He wants Steve to unwind for once in his life. And of course making him a little bit embarrassed. Its fun watching him blush and splutter after all.
For missions and work he can talk perfectly fine. In dire circumstances too. But on a normal Thursday?
Without the weight of the world on their shoulders? That’s fair game to him.
This little trick works this way:
Only some of Steve’s thoughts can be voiced out loud, but they’re completely out of context (of his train of thought) or uttered in the most inconvenient of times as they come (if Steve is screaming inside it will be voiced that way out loud).
Only him (Loki) and Steve can hear all of what the captain is trying to say and communicate that way if Loki is feeling like it. (Loki is not going to invade Steve’s mind more than that, even if its really tempting)
And Loki is so entertained by all of it (the mind of the captain, the endless confusion of the team, the jealousy that some of them feel, the discussions that seem unilateral but are really funny to him and make him laugh out loud) that he started to bring a bag of popcorn and soda everywhere.
Tony: Ok, So… how are you doing cap? Still can’t get a complete sentence yet?
Steve: Im so tired of this, and yes Tony I still can’t talk normally.
Loki: ohhh? My my Captain… Are you still trying to find a way out of it? You can’t. You’ll need to get used to it.
Steve: Fuck you Loki
Tony: LANGUAGE!
Steve: not you Tony. Loki!
Bucky: shut up Tony!!
Steve: i want to talk Loki! Let me talk, this is ridiculous.
Tony: no robocop, YOU shut up!
Loki: No. this is too entertaining, you think i want to end one of the only things that gives me joy? You’re out of luck Steven.
Steve: ughhh, fuck me… I hate you so much sometimes Loki
Bucky and Tony: WHAT?!

I just love how in age of ultron
Marvel established
that they have these pods
that can heal people of serious injuries
And are capable of building an entire body out of nothing pretty much aside from like a sentient Rock
and that this pod
which is destroyed at some point in this movie
is a lower level version of something that Dr Helen Cho has in her facility in wherever she said it was cause it's been a while since I've watched this movie
and then they
to my knowledge
Never mentioned again

You're my kids! Well, just Pietro.
Clint is trying to co-parent the Maximoff twins with Natasha, it’s not working as he would have hoped…
Clint is doing his best, alright? He’s trying so hard!! But they don’t listen to him, they barely acknowledge him when he is speaking! Well… Pietro actually, because Wanda is Natasha’s daughter after all. That’s why they’re co-parenting the twins. One for each of them, it’s a pretty fair deal in his opinion.
“Clint! that’s not what co-parenting means…” That’s what Steve would say, but what does he know about it? He's not a father. Clint is!!
Anyway, those are details, the thing is that they don’t listen to him!! Both are such brats! -let’s forget they are already 27 for a moment, sure Clinton-.
They never help HIM, they always help James, Steve or Natasha -the traitor-. They even helped Thor and Bruce! -once, but it still counts. Ok? It hurted-.
They never want to eat pizza with him! PIZZA! Who would reject pizza? -that's ignoring the fact that Lucky eats all of the “leftover” pizza and then stinks the place. And it’s leftover because they left it in the box for more than 30 minutes-.
But no, the worst offenders are when he is trying to teach them something and Nat doesn’t help him, like at all!!! What co-parent does that to his co-parenter?!!
Her, that's who.
One of such occasions was when Wanda risked too much in a mission and Nat didn’t say anything. Unbelievable, right?
He tried so hard to stay out of it… but it was infuriating to see, even Cap praised her for her “quick thinking”!
“Nat!!! She’s your daughter, discipline her!” He said seriously, at least as seriously as one could say while eating food. He was hungry after the mission and meeting with Fury, ok?
“You’re not our parents!!” Said the exasperated brunette.
“Right, because Nat is your mom and I’m Pietro’s father” said the sandy haired man nodding to himself “Makes sense”
“That's not what I mean-”
“Shush darling, the adults are speaking”
“Hey! We’re adults!” Said the white-haired boy “Unbelievable!!!!” buffed the irritated witch.
.
Other such instances were when people on the team treated their kids poorly. And THAT wouldn't do.
“Ok! See here Steven! You might be my captain and all, but you’re not going to talk like that to my son!” said the archer pointing reapetedly a finger into Steve’s chest.
“Were in a work meeting Clint, and Pietro screwed up the plan because-” tried to reason the taller man
“I actually don’t min-”
“Shhh, I’m trying to protect your honor, you little shit” Clint coughed once to redirect his annoyance to the right place “How I was saying Cap… You don’t talk like that to my son!”
“I don’t know if I should be mad or what” exhaled the young man
“How about entertained? I’m having a grand time here!” said Loki while munching on popcorn.
“Hey, can you conjure me some?” Said Bucky distractedly, he was watching one of his favorites things after all: Steve flustered and annoyed, extra points for not being him making him mad -this time-.

Everything Steve Grant Rogers knew about love was heartbreak and loss.
First it was Molly from second grade, Susan from his english class in seventh grade followed her, after that it was Michael and Jonathan from his figure drawing class.
Of course not all of them were of romantic love.
When he was told of his fathers death, that broke him a little too, It was more manageable because it happened before he was born.
And then… his mother took her last breath alone in an hospital bed, and that was the worst pain he could endure in his life, or that was he thought at the time anyway.
No.
The worst pain of his life was losing Bucky and keep losing him every damn time, no matter what he did and no matter the circumstances.
First it was losing him in the arms of pretty dames with soft voices and softer lips, then to the war when he was finally drafted.
When he knew of his status as missing, of course he got to him without a second thought of doing stupid things like wasting time for backup or approval.
It was imperative the speed of his rescue mission, Buckys life was on the line and Steve wouldn’t sacrifice him for stupid and unnecessary rules.
Without Bucky there is no Steve Rogers after all, not a sane one anyway.
The train incident made him break completely at last and he couldn’t take it anymore.
They didn’t even let him go looking for Bucky.
How dare they?
At least that way he could’ve gotten a little bit of closure, but no.
The missions were more important of course.
Of course….
When the opportunity of sinking the Valkyrie was presented to him on a silver platter, he just took it without hesitation.
At last, he could be reunited with Bucky and the endless cycle of heartbreak could end.
.
.
.
Of course that wasn’t what happened, of course that couldn’t be his end.
