Who are you?

Just a crazy person who likes to write. At one time, art was my passion. Sadly, a few years ago I began to lose the fine-motor and grasping functioning of my hands. Holding writing and artists utensils becomes extremely painful after a period of time on good days, and near impossible on bad days. Luckily I can still type. So I have switched artistic mediums, and try my best to paint images and scenes into readers brains.

What is your pfp?

That is actually my primary OC, that I will sneak into almost everything I write. Her name is Katrina aka. 'Kat'. She's evolved a few times over the decades, but she exists solely as coping mechanism. She's become a main character in my longfic, and I hold a strong attachment to her above all my other OC's. Sadly, I never got around to properly sketching her, so best I could do was make a Picrew of her (and it's pretty dang close too).

What do you write?

At the moment, Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction. My current focus is on finishing my longfic, that I started during a three day mania blitz. I have a nasty habit of leaving things unfinished, but I have made it my personal goal to see this through to completion.

I have no specific genre or ship I write for. I just write whatever pops into my little brain. Some days I get a spark of inspiration that just screams at me. Others, I feel like I am sloughing through a bog of thoughts that flitter by faster than I can reach out and grab them.

When do you write?

Almost daily. On days that I work, I am often looking over WiP drafts before I clock in, then coming home, eating dinner, then back to WiP's. On days I have off, I either park myself in front of my desktop, or I curl up on my bed with my laptop.

Works:

I can be found on both FFN and AO3.

AO3 has more works available, but only receives longfic updates every 2-4 weeks. If you wish to get the weekly updates for my longfic, then you would have to follow on FFN.

The reason for this is because I originally started posting on FFN. When I started cross-posting to AO3, I made each 'chapter' a grouping of FFN chapters to get the two platforms caught up to one another. I unfortunately didn't have the foresight to thing how things would work once that happened (hooray for brain being brain). So now, AO3 gets 'chapter group' updates.

Asks are always open, and I am always up to talk about WiP and OC stuff.

@trancedreamer - Management!! It’s a general title but you help me with like money management and organizing things. @violetshifting - Barista! Super friendly, bubbly barista who loves to whistle and hum while making drinks. Always cheering customers up and loves to do the latte art!!! @randomthingsandsuch - You’re a regular but you never stay long. You’re always coming in grabbing like ten iced coffees for your Network people and then heading out the door. You’re super nice and always tip a lot!! (Appearance: your picrew pfp basically not with the frog and you’re always wearing a REALLY colorful rainbow shirt/jacket etc)

@shifting-cat - Unofficial “Cat room employee!!” Always comes in and hangs out in the cat room. Knows every cat’s name and whenever other customers come in you chat with them or answer any questions they have about adopting them!

@shifting-haven - The Quiet one. You are really nice and always come in to the coffeeshop like four times a week, but you’re a little shy and tend to just sit back and observe all the things happening in the cafe. You like to sit in the book corner!! (Appearance: short shaggy brown hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes ?? Again I have no idea why I think this it’s just in my head)

@romeshifting - Chaotic writer. Has a booth you regularly sit at and work on your scripts/novels. Papers everywhere, laptop usually falls off the table a few times, sometimes coffee is spilled lol (Appearance: Always has bags under your eyes. Short, floofy pixie cut with round glasses!)

@shiftingshiftingshifting - The solo artist. You always have headphones or calm music playing, you bring a pencil and notebook, you sit by the windows sipping your drink and writing poetry. (Appearance: a similar version of Sansa. Deep red hair, pale skin, bright dark blue eyes)

@shiftingsycamore - GALAXY HOODIE. Idk why but in my head your entire personality is just the super chill customer who comes in always wearing a space hoodie or like galaxy converse or something. You’re super nice and like to sit by the baristas work station and chat with them while you drink. (Appearance: light brown hair, ponytail, blue eyes and freckles. Also very smoll)

@isabelleshifts - Cat lady. Since the cats are hypoallergenic, you love to come in early mornings, grab your drink, and hang out in the cat room all day. You’re super friendly and adorable and the cats love you!!! (Appearance: similar to your picrew pfp! Pale blonde hair, rosy cheeks, light tone skin)

1. Why did you choose your URL?

when i was 14 and made this blog i had started using the phase "[so-and-so] is a BABE" (which had eventually evolved into calling everything that i liked a babe (this coffeemaker is a babe)). i didnt think very highly of myself at the time- i did not know i was a stone cold Hottie. so when i was coming up with a new blog name i put 'Hopefullyababe' cuz im like. I first made an account in 2015 for Star Wars (I even wrote fanfiction for Star Wars) but the Star Wars fandom is...toxic, to put it kindly. I got death threats just because I was a Reylo-Shipper, so it wasn’t worth the drama anymore and I deleted the account. But I’ve always been a huge MCU-fangirl and I always wanted to come back onto tumblr and join the Marvel-fandom. It just took a little push and that was falling for Zemo, so I created this account a few months ago and started writing again and I’m so glad I did it🖤

1. Why did you choose your url?

I created this URL when I was like 15 for my second twitter account and it combines my love for Star Wars with my love for zombies (and at the time I was hardcore into zombies) and it just kind of became my brand!

2. Any side blogs?

As it says in the description on my blog ‘no sideblogs just an everything blog’. So no I don’t have a sideblog! 

3. How long have you been on tumblr?

With this blog it is coming up to 9 years (2012-present day) but I first used tumblr in 2009 for a year. 

4. Do you have a queue tag?

I do, it’s jedivsqueue (very nifty if I do say so myself!)

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I started Sixth Form and a bunch of my friends were using tumblr and I was like ‘fuck it I miss tumblr’ and so I decided to create this blog. If you dare to go far enough back you’ll see I basically used it like a little log of what I was up to in Sixth Form, and my friends and I used to just chat. 

But my old blog I started because I found out about tumblr through some chatrooms I was on and decided to give it a shot because I was super lonely and it seemed like a cool place. 

Either way you look at it I started my blogs because I was looking to connect with people in some way (sorry to get deep lads but that’s how it is) and look at me now - I’m basically an F1/random shit blog!

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

My icon is from a picrew I was tagged in AGES ago and it’s basically me in one of my favourite teams gear with the bi flag in the background. I feel like it captures me quite well whilst also being like the ideal version of myself.

7. Why did you choose your header?

On desktop I have a photo I took on holiday in Miami that I love because I love neon and the contrast between the neon outline of the building against the sunsetting in the sky bangs hard. On mobile I have a header that @justdrivee very graciously made me!

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

My Seb fancam is my most popular post of this year but my all time most popular post is my Susie fancam from last year!

9. How many mutuals do you have?

I have 164 mutuals (thank you to xkit for helping me figure that out!) a lot of them are inactive though, like I think I maybe have between 50-70 active mutuals?

I currently have 628 followers (and honestly I have no idea how or why so many people follow me and every time I get a new follower I am baffled)

421 and I try to keep it around the 400 mark!

Yes a lot of my posts are shitposts, especially F1 ones.

At the moment I’m on it a lot more than I would be if I was at work tbh. 

14. Did you ever have a fight/argument with another blog?

Well I got some Anon hate a while back after defending two of my pals and I am fairly certain that person has a tumblr so I guess that counts. I have had disagreements with friends from tumblr but never like on tumblr. 

15. How do you feel about the ‘you need to reblog’ posts?

As someone who makes fairly mediocre fancams and moodboards (in comparison to my pals and other content creators) but who puts a lot of time and effort into them like it does suck to receive more likes than reblogs.

Personally, I know sometimes I don’t always reblog posts and like them because I might be scrolling and not have the energy to actually reblog and tag the way I want to - which may sound weird or a cop out but I will go back into my likes later and reblog them unless it’s a super bad brain day. 

I do my best to support the content creators on here and while we do make content mainly for ourselves (like all of my fancams are super freaking niche because they’re for me and like maybe 5 other people I think might like them) but to work hard on something and it gets like 100 notes but only like 30 are reblogs it’s like ???? so I can only imagine what it’s like for people who make the incredible gifs and fancams on tumblr. 

16. Do you like tag games?

I love tag games! Never met a tag game I didn’t absolutely adore! Sometimes it takes me an age to do and then I go back and do like 10 at once BUT I love doing them and it makes my heart go all whoosh when people tag me in them, especially ones about getting to know people better. As you guys know I love to talk!

I adore ask games (can’t you tell?)! I love interacting with people and sending them cool asks or telling them what their vibe is or whatever and I love it when people do the same for me on anon or off anon - especially when I’m having a bad time.

i have strict parents who control my phone (yes im in hs and they do this) so i work out of an incog window on my laptop. Whenever I have free time and have the patience to log in, i come on here. That can either be all day, or in between weeks at a time. Its not the best, but im working with what ive got

never. I am very focused on a positive and healthy environment with everyone. If i were to instigate a fight it would be for comedic purposes, and i would put /j at the end to make sure the creator knows i mean no harm or malice

15) how do you feel about ‘you need to reblog’ posts?

to support a cause, love them. for example it was "reblog this post to make non-binary people aware that they are safe on your blog" and i did it, because thats positive and empowering. but others like "mary anne will die tonight if you dont rb" i hate with a burning passion

Why did you choose your url?

It's just my name, and also because I'm not creative enough to think of something different lol (and then when I do think of something I decide not to because of how many taglists I'm on)

Nope......but maybe one day if I ever really get started on the fanfic I want to write (if I feel like publishing it on here)

Since February 2013, and this is the one constant app I always come back to and I won't ever leave lol

My friend used to have it and she would always show me posts and stuff from it, so I decided to get it and try it out and the rest is history

I really like doing the picrews, and I really liked that one and felt like it was similar-ish as to how I look normally

I was updating the look of my profile and wanted something different. So I went to google and searched for headers and found that one that I really liked (and credit goes to whoever made it)

No idea, and I'm not gonna search through all of them. If I had to guess, it would be the one where I was talking about the Jessica Jones Netflix show

448, which is a bit crazy (however, I'm not sure how many are inactive/porn bots so it could be a bit less than that)

Why did you choose your URL?

Short version is that Herenya is a translation of my name into Tolkien elvish, and, in theory, I write things lol

No side blogs for me so far! I’m also really bad at tagging stuff so y’all just get whatever the heck I’m interested in at the moment. That said, if there’s something you really can’t stand seeing and want me to tag it so you can block it, feel free to let me know!

How long have you been on tumblr?

Uhhh since like August of 2019 I think? That sounds right? But maybe it was earlier than that? I really have no idea. Some time in 2019.

Nah. The only time I queue stuff is if I really want to reblog a post but I’ve seen it five times in a row because all of my mutuals are doing the same thing.

Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I wanted to get in touch with the Star Trek fandom! I had seen a lot of cool art and such floating around the internet and wanted to be part of it.

Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Because I love Spock, and I saw a post once where he was wearing the demisexual flag and it really struck a chord with me. I was like ‘hey, that’s me!’ Nowadays, I usually just use the queer label because heck if I know what’s going on anymore, but I still really love the icon.

Why did you choose your header?

Because space is so incredibly gorgeous and I love it.

I don’t like them. Lots of people use social media to advocate, which is awesome and I totally support. But a lot of people use it (especially tumblr) to escape the world for a while. Sometimes I reblog posts that say that at the end, but I hope y’all know I don’t mean that. It’s your media experience, and I’m not here to judge anyone based on what they don’t reblog.

Do you like tag games?

Yes! It takes me ages to do them sometimes, but I love tag games. Every now and then there’s one I don’t do, and usually that’s just because I’m too stressed out that day and then I forget about it.

Do you like ask games?

Ask games my beloved! I know that random strangers on the internet probably don’t care at all what my favorite memory is or why I included a certain scene in my fic, but I love doing ask games.
