Hello, rotomblr! Any ideas what to get Mab so he’s identifiable as a service Pokemon?

[ID: A bald man with a flat cap surrounded by fire-types and an Ursaring — @betterorreworse’s Euca Lipton! — stands to the side of Philomena. He’s pointing out different stalls around a harbour-side market with glee. Philomena films all the stalls he points out.

“Oh ! There was a Maximizers concert in the stadium on my fifteenth birthday ! Got seats that time, right at the front of the top tier . Still a great time— Dante ? Where’d you go ? !”

“There!”

The camera follows Philomena’s view, watching a man with a dark quiff — Dante! — as he reads a menu.

“Have you eaten, Philomena? I’m starved.”

Philomena pauses so Orich can ‘translate’ what was asked. She responds, “I could go for some food. You two?” as she records her two service pokémon. Orich is awkwardly in shot, being pressed up to her leg, but replies enthusiastically. Mab can be seen holding Philomena’s hand. He nods, then steps out of the way of a passerby.

“The Captain’s Table ? Good choice , bouf !”]

Back on the coast today doing the rounds. Little Baby Squimsh looks tip-top as ever! I don’t know how Orich feels about her bowling me over whenever we meet. He has gotten good at moving himself out the way at least. Mab on the other hand is decidedly Not A Fan, lifting me back up and chasing Squimsh until he got Aurora Beamed.

I did get a cute video though. Orich had done this before, I know he doesn’t use claws!

[ID: Little Baby Squimsh sat very nicely on the beach, her eyes staring at Philomena behind the camera. The camera moves around her to the left to reveal Orich sat next to her watching her tail as it thuds the ground with a repetitive rhythm. He suddenly baps the side of her body before immediately recoiling at the sound and feel, his head glowing red against his green ‘fur’, but his head also snaps to the now stilled tail. He watches it and only begins to relax when it subtly starts bouncing again. Once her tail is back to full tempo, he baps her again. Throughout all of this, Squimsh is smiling at Philomena, absolutely uncaring about Orich’s antics.]

Sorry for disappearing without notice. 1) work’s been mostly trainers so can’t report there 2) I made a very impulsive decision

So Mab is officially mine. Partially because I felt bad for the shelter he evolved with me, mostly because I think it’s a good idea. I have not yet considered whether I can manage it.

So a thing happened

[ID: the Bounkid standing on top of a Quilladin triumphantly. The Quilladin is feigning defeat as shown by their smile. Just in shot are the tips of 2 feet, one with a brown leathery shoe on and the other just with white sock.]

Yeah that’s Mab. I left them to play. I get a message from Moore saying “what’s with the light show?”. Go back out and catch the end of their play fight.

I can’t not explain this to the shelter can I?

[photo ID: a Capsakid.? It’s body is mostly a purplish-pink, though it has a skirt made of leaves that fade from green at the top to white at the tips. The usual Capsakid cap is also leaves resembling a broderie hat. Really, it looks more like a Bounsweet. It’s a Bounkid!]

Orich ran into me multiple times before I noticed and he led me to my front door. Moore’s waiting, visibly uncomfortable, with this little thing sat on his foot. I was merciful and waited to take a picture. Happened quicker than I thought. Time to do check ups!

Weekend summary

Friday movie night with Sophia and Grendel and Orich.

Fun!! Watched The Aristocatts and Ekans on a Plane. They left at 1.

Saturday Shelter work started at 7:46

Mab’s back to joining with me! The family didn’t think he suited the kid. One reason was poor name recognition, he didn’t respond to Chespin… no-one need to know why, do they? Orich’s been less clingy. He must’ve missed him a lot.

Didn’t work with Raika but he’s also doing well from what I saw :D

Worked with an Azurill most of the day to figure out why it wouldn’t eat. The worker didn’t think to say they’d changed the food they were feeding her. Arceus Almighty.

Went to have an early night sleep, got a call from Maki, stayed up later than I should have without eating so my body made me sleep. Got to say bye to her before passing out for once which was nice. She was less worried.

Sunday: Holon Lake

Armaldo δ are as strong and intimidating as ever. Surskit’s are fine. Exeggutor δ group are mainly now grass/fighting type after the fights with the grass/rock ones. Mab tried to climb one, got Brick Breaked, then tried to climb another.

The Gyarados δ is loving life as always. Loves its Spiral Growths. It’s nice that it’s shining, helps to remember its fire type. Only when I see it. That’s still something though.

Oh and the Bounkid seed arrived! Had a handy little info thing on how to care for the seed so following all of that. My neighbour Moore finished his Poké Mart shift and helped me. We don’t talk much and I didn’t think he was that fond of Pokemon, so that was a welcome surprise.

Why I’m posting this on Monday, i forgot to charge my phone since the call with Maki and I’ve been working all day.
