i did painting today and its finally fucking done. and it was LONG. i would say im satisfied with the end result. i made the sketch for this painting back in january and it was a surrealism sketch. it was an assinment we got as a part of art class. but this assinment was LAST YEAR when i was in the 10th grade (and now im going to the 12th grade) so i made the sketch basically one year later something like that. it was a painting that i kinda wanted to do for a long time but couldnt get myself to doing it. until now at leas t. the actual painting i started a few months ago with a blue background that i didint finish after that. i pulled it again few days ago and decided to finish it. i took some process pics and they down here. so starting in thursday with this blue back i did afew months back when i wanted to do this work for the first time. i wasnt happy with that blue and didnt like that at all bcuz i tried to go for a much brighter sky but the canvas was quite big and was a lot to cover. so i got different blue everytime and there was lot of inconsistency and alot of white dots of the white of the canvas and it can literally drive me insane. just like the one in pic2 i cant live with that. so icovered again the ENTIRE canvas with the one blue color paint that i had. it was darker than wat i wanted and planed at the beginning but it would mean i have at least consistency. the first three pics were in thursday. now jumping afew days forward to today and i kept working on the painting. i finished covering the canvas with the NEW blue backgroung it took some time and i KNOW i skipped a few stages but i added the ground and the flaoting houses. i never planned on the color when i made the sketch but always imagined them yellow. anyway i kept working until its dark outside and after a while i finished it. it took longer than some other things i make but this is how i planed it would look. with painting overall i want to go for a more modern style and do it quick
