The light on our drive home was positively mind blowing. If it were up to me I would've stopped nearly every 20 feet and taken a photograph. But the rest of my family was eager to get home, and my son was positively fed-up with all my stops. There was a moment when the sun was illuminating a whole field of oak trees, wild horses and rolling green hills ..I nearly broke into tears... it was so beautiful...but I didn't want to piss anybody off and stop to photograph it. In hindsight I wish I made everyone mad and pulled the car over. Light like that doesn't happen very often. Photographs not taken

I was making a photo reportage and during a break I found myself looking through the window of the 30th floor. Such a beautiful view. I realized that a door had been opened for me and my camera, and I wasn't afraid.

My #ReviewsdayTuesday is Photographs Not Taken edited by Will Steacy. This book is a collection of photographers' essays about times they didn't use the camera. Using the power of words they capture the image they never got, and it's attendant memories. "These mental negatives depict the unedited world and the moments of life that do not exist in a single frame" Overall a great book and an easy read, I would recommend it to anyone but especially someone interested in photography. #reviewsdaytuesday #book #photographsnottaken #photography #willsteacy #goodreads
