Old Jewish cemetery in Prague.
“The Old Jewish Cemetery is among the oldest surviving Jewish burial grounds in the world and along with the Old-New Synagogue, it is the most important site in the Prague Jewish Town…It was founded in the first half of the 15th century. The earliest tombstone dates back to 1439; the last burial took place 348 years later. Although the cemetery was expanded several times over the centuries, it was still not big enough to meet the needs of the Jewish Town. As space was scarce, bodies were buried on top of each other, with graves layered up to 10 deep.”

Monument in honor of Armenian Genocide and Jewish Holocaust victims in Yervan, Armenia.
The monument is located in the Ring Park at the intersection of Teryan and Moskovyan streets. It was unveiled on October 27, 2006. It was installed on the initiative of Rima Vardapetyan, the president of the Jewish community of Armenia. The monument consists of two basalt columns, symbolizing the similarity of the fates of two ancient nations: Armenians and Jews. On the front of the right column, it is engraved in Armenian:“LIVE NOT FORGET: IN MEMORY OF THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN AND JEWISH GENOCIDE,” On the same side of the left column, the Hebrew inscription reads (translated): “TO BE OR TO FORGET: IN MEMORY OF THE HOLOCAUST VICTIMS,” On the back sides of the columns, branches of the tree of life are carved. The slanted tops of the columns symbolize the idea of destroyed lives. Between them is a bronze candle that illuminates the monument in the dark and reminds people that genocide of any nation or people should not occur in the future.
