hmmmm not particularly. i tend to focus on the music more than lyrics since that's where my autism points. i'll end up listening to things while writing that match the vibe, but if you were to look at the lyrics they don't fit at ALL. it's not until later that i'll find a song that matches. (it's pretty rare for me to find a song that fits well on both counts, though i've gotten really lucky with symphony!)

for example, here are a couple of the songs that i listened to while writing singularity. the lyrics don't fit at all (if they even have lyrics), but it was the vibe i was interested in:

Song list and some notes on specific tracks below. I wanted to tie in the themes of video gamey music, pop, hyperpop, and metalcore to create the vibe of wonderland while also moving through the journey of the arc and telling the story through the songs! It’s been a fun little project and I’m really happy with the result.
