with the way edgeworth has been so vocal about being against marriage i feel like the only way it could actually happen is edgeworth going through phoenix's financials (his papers are EVERYWHERE and if miles makes eye contact with that sorry excuse of a desk one more time he will pop a blood vessel) and realizes there needs to be some kind of intervention. "phoenix we are getting married next week you sorely need the tax breaks". and he can't really say no to that because well. it's true.
