Chapter One: Bet?

Noah sat hunched over his tray, surrounded by his friends, who were mercilessly laughing at his expense. Dixie, perched next to him, stirred her smoothie nonchalantly, smirking but saying nothing to save him.

Brandon leaned back, wiping tears from his eyes. “Man, the way you talk about pulling Dixie, you’d think you’re James Bond or something. Newsflash—you didn’t pull her. She pulled *you*.”

“Yeah,” Jake chimed in, cracking a grin. “Remember that party? She asked for your number, and you stared at her like a deer in headlights. I’m still surprised she didn’t give up and move on.”

“That’s not true,” Noah protested, his cheeks heating up. “I was… assessing the situation.”

“Assessing the situation?!” Emily snorted, nearly choking on her fries. “You didn’t even say a word! She had to write her number on your hand and tell you to call her. Admit it, Noah, you’re the trophy in this relationship.”

Dixie sipped her smoothie, her smirk widening. “I mean, they’re not wrong. You’re a cute trophy, though.”

The table erupted into more laughter as Noah threw up his hands in exasperation. “Okay, fine! You guys think you’re so funny, but I could pull anyone I wanted.”

Brandon raised an eyebrow, leaning forward. “Oh, really? Prove it.”

“Yeah,” Jake added, his tone sharpening. “Bet you can’t pull another girl. Someone who’s not into you already. Let’s see those so-called ‘skills.’”

Dixie nudged Noah with a teasing grin. “Don’t let them punk you, babe. Unless you’re scared they’re right.”

Noah straightened up, puffing out his chest. “I’m not scared. Name the girl, and watch me.”

Later that afternoon, the group loitered by the football field, waiting for the team to finish practice. Brandon tossed a football between his hands while Noah half-listened to his friends chatter, still fuming over their earlier roast.

“Alright,” Jake said, squinting across the field. “Let’s pick someone.”

Brandon pointed toward a group of cheerleaders practicing near the end zone. “How about one of them?”

Noah rolled his eyes. “Too easy. Try harder.”

Dixie nudged Jake and tilted her head toward the bleachers. “Her.”

They all turned to look. Across the field, sitting alone near the top row of the bleachers, was Isabella. She had her nose buried in a thick book, scribbling notes in the margins. Her headphones were on, and her air of complete indifference made her seem untouchable.

“No way,” Noah said immediately. “Her? Isabella? She’s, like, a genius. And she’s also… I don’t know, scary?”

“That’s the point,” Dixie said, grinning. “You said you could pull *anyone*. So pull her. Let’s see how smooth you really are.”

Brandon crossed his arms. “And we’re not just talking about her number. You’ve got to rope her into helping us cheat on the exam. Those notes of hers? They’re the key to us passing.”

“Wait,” Noah protested. “You want me to get her to *cheat*? That’s not just pulling her; that’s…”

“It’s the ultimate test,” Jake said, grinning wickedly. “Come on, man. Finals are coming up, and if we fail, it’s summer school. You’d be helping all of us, and you get to prove you’ve got game.”

Dixie crossed her arms, clearly enjoying herself. “I don’t mind. In fact, I think this will be hilarious.” She smirked at Noah. “Unless you think you’re out of your depth, babe.”

Noah glanced back at Isabella, who was completely absorbed in her book, oblivious to their conversation. His pride warred with his common sense.

“Fine,” he said finally, puffing out his chest. “I’ll do it. I’ll get Isabella to help us cheat, no problem.”

His friends whooped and clapped him on the back, their excitement palpable.

“Good luck,” Dixie said, a mischievous glint in her eye. “You’re gonna need it.”

Noah looked back at Isabella and swallowed hard. This bet had started as a stupid, silly joke, but now it felt impossible—and worse, deadly serious.

The 3 minutes of Love screentime made me miss her so much. The show just isn't the same without her. No one is serving like she was.

Lady Phoebe being well and happy at the end is the only thing keeping me happy.

Marianne surviving and getting to go back to her daughter?!?!? I LIVE FOR THAT.

My girl Nadia and her bf deserved so much better. Nadia you WILL get your revenge trust.

Hated everyone else introduced this season.

Beak and Love haunting Joe is everything. Both stole that ep.

Kate girl wtf I hate it here. Joe got a lot scary after that. Kate will regret this so hard, like you know Joe's gonna do what he does all the fucking time.

Joe, you will pay for your crimes. I will be seated for his downfall.

Part 2 of Season 4 of YOU is FINALLY put. I have no idea why on earth Netflix chose to split the show up but whatever.

Anyways......

I loved it!! They really committed to doing something different this season and I think it was the right choice. This season was a mix of a whodunnit/murder mystery as well as an unrelatable narrator aspect that culminates in a plot twist that was done very well despite being done before (think Fight Club and Mr Robot)

My favorite thing about this season was probably the repeated reminders that super rich people are absolutely garbage and almost entirely unreedemable - being part of the 1% makes you a garbage person. And yes that of course includes Kate Galvin who deludes herself into thinking that she's better than the rest of the group

Phoebe was the only rich person who showed any growth (even though she gets a huge side eye from me for even being friends with Gemma and Simon in the first place - btw I'm super glad that those 2 died). Her dating Adam was supremely ick but we got the hilarious side story of his Golden Shower fetish 😂. Roald sucked ass but turns out he was right after all lol, who woulda thunk it?

My heart is broken for Nadia and especially Eddie who didn't even know what he was getting roped into. Don't you hate it when characters can't mind their business and then they get endangered? Marienne beats the odds and becomes the only adult woman to get entangled with Joe and not die....congrats to her haha

And if course the biggest thing - murderous Rhys being "you know who" instead......girl I was shook!! Didn't see it coming at all

Basically I really enjoyed this season of the show and we talk about it in our newest video!! Please watch and let us know if you agree or disagree in the comments (I really wanna know what people thought about the season because I haven't seen a lot of people talking about it)

Regarding my other plans… it’s a very funny story. I legit have no idea 💀 My brain comes up with these random potential scenarios at like 3am and then it’s a 50/50 chance on whether it actually gets done. However, my strong will power and motivation to help populate this man on this app will overcome that (hopefully). I just have to be very VERY creative on the scenarios, given the canon storyline 👀
