We are indeed gonna watch DVD 3′s special - Oshiyokiyo 3!

She took some time to read the chat, navigate the DVD menu and we just started!

lol the conversation randomly changed trajectory, are they lowkey roasting Ayaka for not having read or seen the original Sailor Moon work? lol

We of course know the Senshi are still really close till this day in real life, but Miyuu and Ayaka are especially close given what they share on their social media. But it’s so cool to know and have them identify here, specifically saying the 3 of them talk a lot with each other!!!! I guess it especially makes sense since Ayaka would have the most shared parts with Rei and Usagi in the scripts. During filming, Ayaka would likely have been close to Keiko and Miyuu naturally from that!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH we’re at the part where Miyuu talks about Ayaka’s dislike for whipped cream!!!! Keiko looks so shocked. lol

I had to gif it. You can see Ayaka looking at Miyuu enjoying wolfing down her piece of cake, and Ayaka took a look and her own cake and just laughs with a bit of jealousy.  Ayaka barely ate a corner of her cake, at the very top, and that’s the corner she kinda just licked off in the filming process. lol

I forgot that Ayaka had disclosed her dislike for whipped cream even when applying for the role. I guess that Sayonara ~Sweet Days must’ve been written after they chose Ayaka for the role????

This right here, Keiko’s talk about how she struggled with the kicks, reminds me of the interview she’s done in the last few years lamenting about how other tokusatsu series - the Kamen Rider or Super Sentai franchise’s costumes are all masked up, allowing for body doubles to do the tough action scene, but because Senshi transformation don’t, they are required to do most of their own action. lol

Seriously the girls had it rough for a tokusatsu show.

I’m trying to not choke on my own saliva here while my brain tries to figure out if I’m excited or mad that this is the unused scene they chose to show. I’M FUCKING TORN.

One on hand - THIS UNUSED SCENE SHOWS ME NOTHING.  This is the age old Zoisite being a dramatic queen that he is, talking to himself while he plays his piano. Besides the fact that he mentions the title “Princess’ Requiem” that tells me this is indeed for Act 11, this could have been shown as unused scene for any other episode and I’d still believe it!  He even said “the end” in 3 ways just for the sake of it. “Requiem”, “Finis” and “The end” all mean the fucking same thing!!!! AND THAT’S THE ONLY DIALOGUE WE GET HERE.  GIMME SOMETHING I CAN ACTUALLY ANALYZE!!!!!! I want to know the untold stories, not just a scene with no content!!!!!

BUT, on the other hand, dear lord Endou Yoshito is fucking talents, and it’s so awesome the crew of PGSM chose to include this scene to celebrate Endou’s talent as much as possible. He plays everything himself, even the BGM of the piano playing that Zoisite plays!  For that reason, I actually love them including this scene. 

Like I said, I’M TORN.

Miyuu is such a fucking tease AND a troll and I LOVE IT. Keiko stood no chance in trying to stir the conversation away, and was led to call out what Miyuu’s alluding to and it’s just hilarious to see.

For a moment Keiko and Miyuu’s interaction was so much like Rei and Usagi’s dynamic and it’s SO GLORIOUS to see. 

HA. JOKES ON YOU MIYUU. There’s no ReixJadeite undertone in the live action storyline, unlike the manga. >:D

Damn they cut off the visual while Keiko’s still trying to get Miyuu to do a proper conclusion, that’s hilarious!  I don’t remember how the next Oshiokiyo goes since it’s been so long I’ve watched though, unlike the actual series that I reviit often for referenec to my fan work. Hopefully Keiko does get to do the highlight next, though shitty that her highlight would be for Act 13 - 16.  It only she got to talk about Act 17 - 18. :(  I really wished we could’ve gotten Ayaka or Keiko to cover those two episodes instead. 

And that’s a wrap for DVD 3′s Oshiokiyo!  Hopefully I can start liveblogging act 13 tomorrow! :DDDDD

LOL this exchange was hilarious.  It worked out well in Miyuu’s favour that even her natural responses to Keiko’s words shows how she really exerts an energy and impression to what we would consider to be “Usagi-like”! 

Especially hilarious because I’m pretty sure that the word Keiko used in this to describe Miyuu actually had the connotation on not only saying Miyuu is “quiet”, but also “mature”. We can clearly tell who’s the quieter one in the conversation, and it’s definitely not Miyuu. lol

Wow it’s been forever since I’ve watched any of the oshiokiyo and I barely remember anything.  To see this again is SO awesome! I love how Keiko chuckled when Miyuu’s so excited in recalling her first impression of Keiko that even her arm’s part of the gesturing. 

While in no way close to the magnitude of task Keiko and the girls would have experienced in an audition, but I definitely had blacks outs of memories from interviews I’ve done for jobs I really wanted too because I was so nervous but also excited.  Keiko’s lack of memory is very relatable. lol

Who the heck would be judging the crew in a downpour???? Were they making sure they look busy because they know they were being filmed for the DVD extra? I have questions!  Miyuu???? lol

But also, the heart handshape?  Seriously, Act 13 AND 14 both could count as that.

Act 13 - UsaMamo romance. Act 14 - Usa and Ami kinda romance.  Act 15 & 16 - Usa, Ami and Naru love triangle? LOL

Honestly, this scene was even shorter... barely 5 seconds. They should’ve just kept it.  I love seeing Rei being protective. Rei being my absolutely favourite, I really wished we could have seen her being a miko and interacting with kids more in PGSM.  That being said, Act 10, Act 27 and Final Act were all pretty awesome in showing big sis Rei at work. :)

I’m like dying with warmth and laughter at their back and forth on the crying. lol

I like how they are both way pass being embarrassed at this point of the interview and they are just embracing the fact that they are roasting either each other or themselves for their acting. lol

Miyuu’s like, “crap this was hard and we probably had to do so many takes, thanks for working with me on this”, while Keiko’s just calling herself out “I shouldn’t have been crying, but you can tell I’m about to be and I can’t help it.”

So I don’t have much free time so probably won’t be able to liveblog too much on the Oshiokiyo much, BUT DEAR LORD I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BECAUSE IT’S WITH KITAGAWA KEIKO.

I really appreciate how the editor of left in so much candid moments of the girls into the cut, such as how Keiko and Miyuu kinda giggled and looked at each other after they finished their scripted introduction.  Also, I loved how Keiko slid into the screen from the left with her head tilted like that.  hahaha

Okay, I actually do wish they had kept this scene in Act 11, though they probably could have just cropped it shorter instead of playing the typical PGSM suspenseful music for the whole duration, filming so many different angles of Mamoru’s face.  

Sidenote, seems like Mamoru’s also a Mac user, though the Apple logo is covered by a gray cube instead?

Also, that slow sip of coffee (I assume it’s coffee, because Mamoru’s an university student and also has a side hustle as a phantom thief), and unfocused gazing before he read the line about the Senshi and V... Y’know what I’m thinking?
