I Don't Use Twitter And I Want In On The Drama! What's Going On Between Meenah And Gamzee??

It has been around even before Twitter and had a bit of origin on Tumblr. But basically, people think that Gamzee Makara and Meenah Peixes are black-coded. For Gamzee's case, people cite that his hair is like an afro. And Insane Clown Posse and juggalos in general have some connection to black people. I'm trying to remember if it was prior to the Black Lives Matter movement, since an ICP juggalo rally did happen. For the fuchsiablood, Meenah's speeches and mannerisms are like those to a sassy black girl character. As well with her hair being in braids.

But then implications start to set in as they realize what happens if Gamzee and Meenah are black. For one, Gamzee is a VILLAIN in the Homestuck series. So people think Gamzee being black means a BLACK GUY is a villain.

Meenah would be the one who grows up to be The Condesce in an alternate timeline. If she is HIC, that means, it means she would be the one who started the hemospectrum. The casteist. The racist system the fans hated on Alternia. A BLACK WOMAN was the one who placed the racist class system and had high privilege above everyone else. The same Condesce that would later cause all the misery and suffering for not only Alternia, but also the Alpha Kids Session. Serving under Lord English, the bigger bad.

Not only that. But Meenah had bullied and harassed a Japanese woman. An Asian girl to go crazy that she wanted revenge on Meenah. People may think bad that a black woman bullied an Asian girl. If it happened a little later in this recent time, people probably would not mind it. With all the Asian hate lately going on.

Fanon stuff may have also made people think they are black. Things like headcanon voices that made people think it sounds like they are black. In the end, as much as the fandom wants diversity, they think the depiction of ones for Gamzee and Meenah are negative examples. Thus, people think Andrew Hussie is racist and Homestuck is ANTI-BLACK. It probably does not help that Hussie's previous works have him making black jokes. Haters of the new generation, try to dissuade people reading Homestuck because it is violently racist and if you read it, you support racism. That's Twittards in a nutshell for that Homestuck drama recently.

And what's confusing of it all, some fans of the Homestuck series on Twitter acknowledge that Hussie has done racist things and that the depiction of Gamzee and Meenah is racist according to them. But they say things like since Homestuck is over, the fandom can TAKE IT BACK and make it their own to make it less racist. Hussie's edgey phase doesn't matter. Or that because they aren't as important as lets say Dave Strider or Karkat Vantas, you are better off giving that race headcanon card to better characters and ignore Gamzee/Meenah's existence.

He has a great wealth of knowledge on specific things, but he doesn’t really understand how to utilize it in a way that will benefit him. Sure he’s more bearable than more bureaucrats, but he is also likely not as capable in the other aspects of their job.

Lying and selective reframing is the greatest asset in a politicians armory, but when I think of Kankri I see a dulled sword.

I hope whenever we speak again I can help sharpen that blade a bit more.
