Max: "Yeah, maybe. But I trust Sam. He worked the whole night on it and if there's anything that Sam knows the best it's this so I’m sure it’ll be fine. And anyway, Adrian checked over his initial calculations or whatever those guys do, and he said everything was sound, otherwise we wouldn't run with it."

Journalist 3: "Can you tell us more about what happened with the part not arriving from the factory?"

Max: "Someone didn’t do their job, so Sam had to come up with something. I trust him more than the person who didn’t send the part." He smirks slightly, looking unfazed.

Journalist 4: "If something does go wrong, how are you prepared for that?"

Max, laughing: "We actually had a meeting about that: Christian, Marko, GP, Sam, Adrian and I. Sam will be in my ears, GP and Christian agreed that it would be the best for this race for GP to assist Sam telling me what to do. And so, I’ll be fine, Sam will be with in my ears, if anything goes wrong he's going to be there. But nothing will go wrong."

"Oh please, would you mind?" Jungkook asked, his eyes lighting up with excitement. The piano was his passion, just as dance was Maria's, so he couldn't hide his thrill at discovering a friend who shared his love for music.

"I'm not that great, honestly," Maria replied, a little self-conscious.

"Come on, you can't be that bad. No parent would invest in a proper piano for their kid if they were terrible at it," Jungkook laughed.

He was right in a way. Maria had become quite good, thanks to Ana who'd spent half her life savings on a high-quality second-hand piano so Maria could have a proper instrument rather than just a basic keyboard. Yet things hadn't turned out quite as planned. Maria had lost interest in piano back in 2012, around the same time she discovered her passion for dance. She had left piano school during her third year to pursue dance, but Ana was hesitant to support this new dream, fearing Maria's enthusiasm might waver. Ana insisted Maria practice on her own until she proved her dedication. Maria did go on to win a few dance competitions, enough to show her potential, though Ana never mentioned enrolling her in a dance school. Maria understood why; she knew her mum couldn't afford it, so she kept practicing solo, learning only so much on her own.

"Honestly, I'm not great. Don't judge a book by its cover," she said, almost backing out.

"Then let me be the judge," Jungkook persisted, giving her an encouraging smile.

Maria, shy but eager not to disappoint, finally gave in and pulled out an old sheet music from her piano lessons.

"Wait, you're in grade two?" Jungkook asked, laughing when he saw the sheet.

"Wow, way to make me want to play," Maria replied, rolling her eyes.

Jungkook's laughter faded as he realised he might have offended her. "Sorry! You don't have to play if you don't want to," he offered gently.

Maria sighed in relief, then shared her story about how her passion had shifted and how her mum's limitations had affected her dance pursuits. Jungkook listened, a bit disappointed as he'd been hoping they could become "piano buddies." He smiled softly. "I bet you would've been an amazing pianist if you'd kept going."

That evening, after Jungkook went home, Maria lay in bed feeling unexpectedly happy. She'd shared a piece of herself with someone new and felt understood.

June 10th - The Performance

It was finally the day of the talent show, and 'The X Team' - as Alaina insisted on calling it - consisting of Maria, Alaina, Brenda, Jimin, Jungkook, Isabella, and Jayda was ready to bring energy and a little chaos to the stage. Their performance was a wild medley of songs, starting with an intense dubstep beat that immediately grabbed the audience's attention. They transitioned smoothly into Primadonna Girl by Marina, followed—unexpectedly—by the quirky Korean song Gwiyomi, which threw the crowd for a loop. Next up was a dubstep remix of PewDiePie's most iconic quotes, pushing the audience to the edge with the sheer variety. They wrapped up the set with I Don't Care by Icona Pop, the crowd's favourite part, as they broke out into dance tricks that had everyone on their feet, cheering for more.

Their unpredictable choice of music might have overwhelmed a casual listener, but the energy was undeniable. The audience was left buzzing, clapping, and calling for an encore.

When the results were announced, The X Team came in third place and, to their delight, also won the Audience Favourite award. Meanwhile, the other team—consisting of Hoseok, Mia, Clara, Maddie, and Faye—walked away empty-handed. While all of them were phenomenal dancers, their performance lacked stage presence as well as the unity and chemistry that The X Team's had, making it less memorable.

Just as the day seemed to be wrapping up on a high note, chaos erupted. The losing team accused The X Team of cheating, furious over the results. What started as whispers quickly escalated into a heated argument, with the 15-year-old dancers launching into a full-blown shouting match.

"Cheating? What the hell could we have done?" Maria shot back, holding her ground as her teammates rallied around her.

"Yeah, we fucking worked just as hard as you!" Alaina added, crossing her arms defiantly.

"You guys probably paid off the judges!" Clara sneered.

"Oh, please, just say you're mad you didn't win anything," Jayda chimed in, rolling her eyes.

"Maybe if you actually worked as a team instead of a bunch of solo acts, the judges and the crowd would have liked you better!" Isabella shot back, her voice full of sass.

Hoseok scowled. "We're better dancers than you by miles, that's for sure."

"I didn't say that dingbat," Jayda pointed out before getting accused of anything.

"Everyone calm down," Jimin said, trying to diffuse the tension, though he too was visibly annoyed.

The bickering continued until a teacher finally intervened, breaking up the squabble. Jimin sighed in relief, he really didn't like drama, let alone being involved in one.

As they left the venue, Maria's team couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and exhilaration. They'd pulled off an unforgettable performance, won over the crowd, and proven that sometimes, it's not about individual talent but about how you work together.

"Damn, if putting myself on stage means I'd be able to witness juicy drama like this, I'd gladly do it everyday." the unproblematic Brenda mumbled.

It was a regular Thursday before the race weekend, and the paddock was starting to buzz with the usual pre-race excitement. Christian Horner was standing with a group of journalists, talking about Red Bull’s strategy for the upcoming weekend. Max and Sam were nearby, seen in the background, casually chatting and scrolling through their phones.

Max leaned against a stack of tires, lazily scrolling Twitter, while Sam stood next to him, sliding though tiktok edits of Max. Max glanced over his phone at Sam, smirking.

Max (teasing): "Getting distracted by your nightmare boyfriend again?"

Sam (laughing): "Shut up, you’re just jealous."

Before Max could respond, they heard Christian’s voice get louder. One of the journalists had brought up Sam’s mysterious boyfriend — again.

Journalist:

"So, Christian, the Internet's been going wild. Any chance we can get your comment on Sam’s infamous boyfriend?"

Christian, half-distracted by the rest of the conversation, casually waved his hand, chuckling.

Christian (without thinking): "Oh, you I mean, I don't know what you want me to say. He and Max are happy, so there's nothing for me to say—"

Christian froze, his brain finally catching up with his mouth. His eyes widened, and he immediately stopped talking, glancing over to where Max and Sam were standing.

Max, holding back laughter, raised an eyebrow at Christian. Sam, who had been messing around with his phone still, paused and looked up. They both locked eyes with Christian, whose face was now flushed with panic.

Christian (trying to backpedal): "Uh, I mean… hypothetically. Not literally. Or maybe it’s a different Max…"

The journalists, of course, were far too sharp for that. Christian's eyes darted from the journalist to Max and Sam, realising that he had just unintentionally outed the relationship. The floodgates were about to burst.

Sam snorted, shaking his head as he strolled over to Christian.

Sam (calmly): "Relax. It’s fine. You didn’t say anything we weren’t expecting to come out eventually."

He patted Christian on the back, trying to calm him down as Christian started apologizing repeatedly.

Max (grinning): "Yeah, besides, I’ve been calling myself a nightmare boyfriend for months now. I think it's time for everyone to know what a great boyfriend I actually am." He says as he smirks in that overconfident persona he sometime gets for the cameras.

Sam rolled his eyes but smiled. Christian still looked like he might need a few days and a drink to recover, but Max’s casual attitude seemed to reassure him.

The journalists, now buzzing with excitement, tried to ask more questions, but Sam held up a hand.

Sam (shrugging): "Look, it's true and I know it's exciting now, but just because it's outthere and y'all know about us now, does not mean we don't like our privacy anymore. So, you can ask as many questions you want, but the three of us are gonna go now."

The gathered press erupted into questions, but neither Max nor Sam seemed fazed. In fact, they looked like they were trying not to laugh at the whole situation as they led still out-of-it Christian back inside.

Meanwhile, social media was having an absolute meltdown. The moment Christian had slipped, fans watching the live coverage of the paddock interviews caught every second of it.

Journalist: "So, Max… you’ve been calling yourself a nightmare boyfriend in interviews for months. Was that all part of the plan?"

Max (mock serious): "Well, I had to keep it entertaining, didn’t I? Plus, I thought it was hilarious that no one realised I was talking about myself. I mean, you'd think people would notice there was not a new face sneaking around Sam in the garage?"

Sam laughed, shaking his head.

Sam (playfully): "And most things he said are true tho."

Fan#1 (laughing): "So, you’re saying Max is actually clingy?"

Sam (grinning): "Oh, absolutely. He's the clingy-est ever. But I’m stuck with him, so I guess I can live with it."

At that moment, Christian joined them and was also attacked with questions about Sam and Max by fans.

Christian (chuckling): "I owe them both a big apology for outing them like that. I honestly didn't mean to do it, but I've been one of the few people who knew about the relationship so it just slipped out."

Max waved him off, still grinning. "Nah, it was bound to happen eventually. Besides, now I don’t have to pretend to be annoyed about Sam’s ‘boyfriend’ anymore."

Sam raised an eyebrow, his smile widening. "And I now don't have to Max's ludicrous ideas of how we should reveal the relationship when the it was the time. Seriously guys, his suggestions were horrible."

Max leaned in, whispering just loud enough for the people around them to hear. "Okay, fine. Maybe my ideas weren't the best, but you know what is? You." He finishes off with a big smile as he pulls Sam closer and fans aw at them.

Sam playfully shoved Max’s shoulder, laughing as the journalists and fans snapped photos of the couple, now openly affectionate in front of the cameras.

By the time the evening rolled around, Sam and Max were trending on every social media platform, and fans were in full meltdown mode.

Hello peeps! In this week of my digital communities blog, we're diving into something super exciting – Gaming Communities, Social Gaming, and Live Streaming, so now let’s get started!

Have you ever spent hours watching someone play your favorite game, thinking, “I could totally do that!”?

For real, I think so too! A bit about me, I used to be super into gaming during MCO, and can be considered as a certified gamer girl for sure hahahaha!! I played a ton of mobile games like Honor of Kings, PUBG, Eggy Party, and etc. For computer games, I’ve played Genshin Impact (I lost my account sobbing), Ark Survival, Wuthering Waves, which is the one I’m currently playing with.

Now, let’s talk about Twitch. Twitch is the ultimate hub for gamers and streamers. If you’re into epic RPGs, intense FPS battles, or cozy farming sims, Twitch is a great choice for you! Twitch isn’t just about watching people play games, it’s about building communities. Take streamers like PewDiePie and Jacksepticeye, for example. These streamers aren’t just gamers; they’re entertainers, community leaders, and friends to thousands of viewers. They create spaces where people can play games together, chat, and share their love for gaming (Taylor 2018).

PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, started his journey on YouTube and quickly became one of the most popular content creators on the platform. It’s like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be a gaming pro. Plus, the emotes and chat memes add an extra layer of fun and connection.

Remember the hype around Among Us in 2020? Pewdiepie has collaborated with other famous streamers such as Mr Beast, Corpse Husband and Disguised Toast to play this game. This collaboration has brought a lot of hilarious content, watching them play with their friends, strategize, and, of course, betray each other was pure entertainment gold.
