Stupid shitty classlit AUs on "Game of Thrones". Keep in mind that I last reread ASOIAF almost five years ago.
1. Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish as Heathcliff Earnshaw
2. Lysa Arryn (neé Tully) as Cathy Linton (neé Earnshaw)
3. Jon Arryn as Edgar Linton (I guess)
4. Edmure Tully as Hindley Earnshaw (I am genuinely sorry)
5. Robin Arryn as Linton Heathcliff
6. Sansa Stark (Alaina Stone) as Cathy Jr
7. I really don't know whom to put as Hareton but I am all the way down for Sansa x Mya Stone yuri

now, thinking about A/B/O dynamics (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to this) A while ago I read about an Alpha! Jon x Omega! Reader. And now my mind can't stop fantasizing about my most dangerous fictitious crush. Petyr Baelish, you stupid smartass. Imagine that Petyr has always been an omega, that has been one of his most intense reasons for shame, especially the mockery of the Tully men (Hoster or Edmure, who is a stupid beta, but a beta nonetheless). Finally, he seduces the beta Lysa and manages to climb the social ladder, he is so proud of himself for having achieved everything only to discover that he is not totally immune to the effects of the Alphas. Sure, he's dealt with them (he's got hookers of all sorts and expensive suppressors), but what secretly terrifies him is finding an alpha to mark him (sort of like an au soul mate) where no matter what suppressor he takes, he's at her mercy (a little dub-con I guess). So, this is where the reader comes in, who is Sansa and Arya's maiden accompanying the Starks in King's Landing. And it's the moment where they both look at each other, when he knows it, he knows it by the damn feeling of heat, the only thing that relieves him is that she has no idea, those things are taboo in the North, I suppose.

What I'm Looking For: 21+ writing partners for some House of the Dragon/Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire roleplays.
About Me: 21+. She/Her. EST. I like to write on Discord (DMs or servers) or through Tumblr messages. I stick to Tumblr for plotting and won't give out my Discord until I know we'll be doing something together. I write in third person, past tense and usually 2-4 paragraphs. Replies typically happen within 2-4 days, depending on how much work is killing me any given week.
About the Roleplays: I'm mostly interested in canon x canon pairings (MxM, MxF, FxF is my order of preference) but will take on a limited amount of canon x OC (I only do MxM or FxF for those). I lean towards romantic pairings and am fine with writing NSFW topics and/or smut. I'm okay with fading to black or keeping things clean and might be okay with some platonic pairings. I'll take those on a case-by-case basis. All characters will be 18+.
I'll be listing my main muses and favorite ships (with the character I'd prefer writing in bold, if I have a preference), but I'm open to discussing other ships and potentially writing some other characters. Anything with an exclamation point (!) next to it, I'm dying to do right now.

I was inspired by this very interesting post to check out how embroidery is portrayed in the books, arranged by color and location:
Gold Thread
For Jaime Lannister (gold Lion of Lannister on a red silk tunic in AGOT Jon I)
For Renly Baratheon (a dozen gold stags on a green velvet doublet in AGOT Eddard IV. Note the Baratheon stag is normally black against a gold field in their heraldry, but Renly likes to be fancy and aligned himself with the Tyrells whose colors are green and gold)
For Robert Baratheon (the crowned stag on pillows on his Small Council chair, in AGOT Eddard IV. The crowned stag is also black in their heraldry)
For Theon Greyjoy (golden kraken on a black velvet doublet in ACOK Theon I. Balon did not approve)
For “Alayne Stone” (leaves and vines embroidered on the sleeves, hem, and bodice of a dark brown lambswool dress, in AFFC Alayne I. She notes it’s “scarce richer than something a serving girl might wear)
For Cersei Lannister (small vines on the bodice and sleeves of a brown wool dress, in AFFC Cersei X. Just like “Alayne’s” dress, Cersei’s is meant to be more subdued as she’s visiting the High Septon)
For Wyman Manderly (at the hem, sleeves and collar of a blue-green doublet in ADWD Davos IV. Gold isn’t a color on the Manderly sigil, though blue and green are.)
For “John the Fiddler” (engrailed cross with a golden fiddle in the first and third quarters, a golden sword in the second and the fourth, on a dark blue silk doublet edged in gold satin, in The Mystery Knight. These are pretty much the opposite of his family’s colors, Blackfyre black and red, but he’s in disguise as a hedge knight; but considering the materials he’s dressed in he’s dressing way above his supposed station)
Silver Thread
For Master armorer Tobho Mott (hammers on the sleeves of a black velvet coat, in AGOT Eddard VI)
For Edmure Tully (many silver fish on a tunic in ACOK Catelyn V; one silver trout on a red wool doublet in AFFC Jaime VII
For Sansa Stark (Maiden cloak ordered by Cersei Lannister; direwolf on a white velvet cloak adorned with pearls, in ASOS Sansa III)
Purple Thread
For Arianne Martell (grapes and leaves on the sleeves and bodice of an ivory linen gown, in AFFC Arianne II. Arianne notes she’s dressing simply in order to appear contrite before her father)
Red Thread
For Lord Celtigar (red crabs on a square of linen in ACOK Davos I)
For Roose Bolton (red droplets of blood on a pink wool cloak in ADWD Reek III)
For Lord Bracken (red stallion on a brown wool tunic, in ADWD Jaime I)
Green Thread
For a knight of House Lynderly (green viper on a surcoat in AGOT Tyrion V)
For Robin Ryger (pale green weeping Willow on a white surcoat in ASOS Jaime I)
For Bronn of the Blackwater (bright green chain on a dark gray wool doublet in ASOS Tyrion I)
For Arys Oakheart (three green oak leaves on a cloth of gold doublet in AFFC Arianne I)
For a child and worn by Tyrion Lannister (part of a yellow Wool doublet embroidered in green floral patterns, in ADWD Tyrion IV)
Brown Thread
For Carellen Smallwood and worn by Arya Stark (acorns on the bodice and hem of a light green gown, in ASOS Arya III)
White Thread
For Bonifer Hasty (three white diagonal lines on a purple doublet in AFFC Jaime III)
For Godric Borrell (a white spider crab on a grey green field on a hall banner in ADWD Davos I. The lords of the Three Sisters are notoriously not very wealthy, so he can’t afford embroidery on his actual clothes)
Black Thread
For Jorah Mormont (black bear of Mormont on a green wool tunic in AGOT Dany I; and on a green surcoat in ASOS Dany III)
For the men of House Whent of Harrenhal (black bat on a surcoat in AGOT Catelyn V. However, the official Whent sigil has 9 bats but the surcoat just has one)
For Petyr Baelish (one black mockingbird on a plum colored doublet in AGOT Eddard XII. These are pretty much the opposite colors of his personal sigil, which are multiple silver mockingbirds on a green field; maybe a sign of duplicity?)
In Essos
Mirri Maz Duur (light and fine wool robes “rich with embroidery” in AGOT Dany VII)
Wealthy Ghiscari men (“embroidered linen tunics”, in ASOS Dany II)
Healer from the House of Red Hands in Braavos (robes of swirling red and white stripes, in AFFC Sam III)
Moqorro (scarlet robes embroidered at the sleeves, hem, and collar with orange satin flames, in ADWD Tyrion VIII)
Noted embroiderers
Catelyn Tully Stark (leaping silver trout on a pale blue handscarf for Brandon Stark in AGOT Catelyn VIII, and a dress for her daughter Arya in AGOT Arya IV)
Tyene Sand (her father Oberyn Martell on a horse and armored in red, in AFFC Areo I)
Some conclusions that might be drawn from these instances
Nobles usually dress in house colors and embroider their clothes with their house sigil, though not always
Embroidering a single object (a mockingbird, a bat, a trout) on cloth is much easier and thus less expensive than embroidering multiple objects (multiple fish, stags, crabs), which is why people of lesser status (the man of Whent) have fewer objects than their sigil but people of greater status (Renly, Edmure before his captivity) have more
Embroidery at the edges of the garment is considered more modest than on the torso
Embroidery in the Iron Islands and the North is rarer than the other Kingdoms
Despite Dunk claiming highborn women do a lot of embroidery, only two have been noted to embroider anything
Outside of sigils, patterns of leaves, vines, flowers, and fruits seem to be the most common objects to embroider, and are often part of “simpler” gowns. There’s a stereotype at least with beginner embroidery books irl that these are easier patterns
Judging by the people who own them, white, black, brown, and green thread seem to be the cheapest, while silver, gold, purple, and red thread seem to be the most expensive
While gold is the most common embroidery color in the series, that doesn’t mean it’s the cheapest; in fact, it’s probably the opposite, considering that the gold embroidery on “Alayne” and Cersei’s gowns are what distinguish them as noble. Gold thread is used to show higher status, even though the colors might not be on the wearer’s sigil (like the cases Manderly, Baratheon, and what turns out to be Blackfyre).
Wealthy working people can afford embroidery, though it’s more common in Essos. The embroidery usually references their place/type of employment
Probably due to a similar climate, the fabrics in Dorne are more like those in eastern/southern Essos (linen, sandsilk) than Westeros (wool, velvet). Maybe their embroidery is also more alike?
What kind of embroidery do you see each kingdom doing?
This is the good shit right here
Goldwork embroidery is so Lan-coded but is also very Tyrell-pilled and even Faith of the Seven-celled, so I believe that this is a big western movement, which makes sense as all the big houses and the faith can afford to splurge on literal cloth of gold thread so they can make their vestments and dresses and coats look all pretty with painstakingly accurate flowers and lions and seven pointed stars
Whitework would probably be common all over Westeros, but is especially popular in the Vale, as the overall look of this type of embroidery is more light and airy, less heavy than beads or thick goldwork stitching. And in my head Vale fashions are very flouncy and flowy, moving with the wind. So delicate and pretty suits them
I really like needlework and needlepoint for the Stormlands. It looks sturdier and is often on thicker fabrics, looking like it will last longer than silk and thin linen stitches. And it almost tends to look worn and a little rough, as if it’s been passed down as an heirloom for so many years, and as if the hand that stitched it was not as careful or delicate as the gentle hand from a lady from the Vale might stitch it. This was made by a rough stormlands woman who needs to keep her children warm at night
Stumpwork again is something that is probably popular all over the kingdoms but particularly in the riverlands idk the riverlands vibe is just so textured like I can just grab onto it so their clothing and embroidery should also be textured I have no real reasoning behind this other than vibes. Also I’m pretty sure Cat wears stumpwork in the show and Sansa does at certain points too so it has some show basis if that means anything at all
Gota Patti is so perfect for most Dornish customs. There is no room for thick and heavy embroidery to weight down their clothes, as the fabric is too thin for that, so they opt for lighter threadworm instead, nothing bulky. They might use cloth of gold or silver but will not make it textured like the westerners. It’s lightweight but still complex enough to show off artistry and wealth

Beware, Fandom!
I finally got my lazy ass up and used the inspiration from that amazing Petyr x Edmure AU @gaypetyr invented and made a couple of moodboards for the main characters!
Please go on and enjoy:
Petyr, lawyer and single dad with loads of paperwork to do, a love need for black coffee and a collection of colorful silk ties.
Edmure, cricket coach, donut lover and always looking on the bright side of life.
Alayne, Daddy's little princess who wants nothing more than being England's best cricket player one day and maybe some chocolate cake.
Thanks for looking at my crappy attemps to make art again after not making art™ for about half a year.
You're welcome.

are you doing the game of thrones ask game? then answer 1-10
1) Edmure
2) Cersei
3) Assuming we are just doing the events of the series and not pre-aGoT I think I’d have to go Ned.
4) Between S2 and 3. Although after S5 I did stop watching, and only started back up mid S8. Also tbf I wasn’t really part of the fandom until then as well.
5) I’m sticking to cannon (within reason), so no crackships so I’m gonna say

now, thinking about A/B/O dynamics (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to this) A while ago I read about an Alpha!
So I’m unfortunately not very into A/B/O myself but I think this presents a very interesting idea. Honestly I can’t think of Petyr as anything but an omega now, it would really play into his whole complex about working his way up the chain of command. Loves outwitting everyone.
I like to think that reader definitely knows. She’s just content to sit and play the waiting game. Make him sweat a little, force him to come to her etc 😏😏😏

In reference to the lovely ask by another Anno: If I may add, maybe the ""ice mask" was hinting that Jon was seeing Yg as someone else (Sansa) and it's an imagery of him projecting Sansa on to her(yg)? Or maybe it's a reference to how his lady love is wearing a mask?
Ciao anon!,
Well you pose an interesting question indeed. Post being referenced to x.
Now, I always associated Ygritte wearing a mask with the fact that Jon's “love” for her was born to mask his real love — his devotion to the North, and to the NW and his duties as a son of Winterfell — and because it was born under facetious pretences. He ends up with Ygritte because a) she is a sexual predator and b) he needs to convince the Free Folk he is a turn cloak for real and is loyal to their cause; so even though what he feels now is real, it's also no real love (more along the line of Stockholm syndrome, but I digress).
Also, silver (as I have analysed in a couple of asks before, x and xx) is actually an ominous foreshadowing and color as every time Sansa has worn silver jewellery something tragic has happened (also Daenerys is called the silver queen, an hint of her being destructive in her path to her Iron throne?, possibly, but I am digressing) also because in those time another material was called liquid silver but was actually mercury which is highly toxic. So it doesn't surprise that the frost — death— mask Ygritte wears looks like a silver mask — because mercury is so toxic it can indicate death and because Jon and Ygritte relationship was toxic to begin with for the reasons I stated above — so I always associate the mask with that toxicity and the fact that the frost will melt around Jon — the same Jon who was left dying on frozen ground with his wounds smoking and snow melting we can suppose on his feverish skin — once Sansa finds her way back to him, which is not something of a stretch since Sansa thinks precisely this:
Littlefinger was only a mask he had to wear. Only sometimes Sansa found it hard to tell where the man ended and the mask began. Littlefinger and Lord Petyr looked so very much alike. She would have fled them both, perhaps, but there was nowhere for her to go. Winterfell was burned and desolate, Bran and Rickon dead and cold. Robb had been betrayed and murdered at the Twins, along with their lady mother. Tyrion had been put to death for killing Joffrey, and if she ever returned to King's Landing the queen would have her head as well. The aunt she'd hoped would keep her safe had tried to murder her instead. Her uncle Edmure was a captive of the Freys, while her great-uncle the Blackfish was under siege at Riverrun. I have no place but here, Sansa thought miserably, and no true friend but Petyr. — Sansa I, AFFC
And, coincidentally finds out that Jon has made lord commander of the NW a little while later, thus is alive and in a position of discreet power (enough that he could protect her):
"Why must mules be so bony and ill-tempered? Mya does not feed them enough. A nice fat mule would be more comfortable to ride. There's a new High Septon, did you know? Oh, and the Night's Watch has a boy commander, some bastard son of Eddard Stark's."
"Jon Snow?" she blurted out, surprised.
"Snow? Yes, it would be Snow, I suppose." — Alayne II, AFFC
Yeah, LF is wearing a mask, Sansa would flee him and all of his masks (choosing the pear instead than the pomegranate, x) if she only had somewhere to go, but LF wants her isolated and thus tries to isolate her and trap her in his schemes (as I have analysed here), but ultimately he will fail because Sansa is not as isolated as he thinks she is and she will slowly realise she has an alternative. Jon Snow. The mask of Alayne Stone will fall and Sansa Stark will come surging back — and who thinks she will bring back warmth to Jon's life after Mel (who he mistakes for Ygritte) even sing him back to life? 🙋♀️ — so that's what I've always associated the mask with.
Though it is true that Ygritte is a decoy for Sansa (all romantic interests in Jon's story are decoys for Sansa imho). She's someone who shares some physical traits with Sansa (Jon's ideal) and acts like Arya (safety and familiarity, someone he thinks he can deserve) but he truly starts feeling something for her when she channels the warmth he associates with Sansa — she is around the fire singing (the last memory he associates with Sansa is her singing softly to herself as she brushes Lady's coat) — it's also true that Sansa is presumed dead (no one knows where she is, and they presume she might be as well as dead) and hiding under a different persona, a mask she reminds herself she must wear at all times to survive (again LF's doing). Could the mask covering Ygritte be associated with Sansa wearing the mask of Alayne Stone (which cracks the moment her brother is mentioned?, which cracks when she channels her inner Sansa and steps out in the winter garden?) and thus with snowflakes melting on her cheeks which will bring forth her lover's kisses? Why of course it could!
After all Jon's “love” for Ygritte is nothing but a void decoy of the real love he will find in tenderness and warmth, all traits associated with Sansa. I've said more than once that Jon and Sansa's stories rhyme, and it is true also about his supposed love for Ygritte. Jon is projecting on Ygritte the love he is dreaming of, the same way as Sansa is projecting over the whole (un)kiss with the Hound, as I have analysed here:
Sansa and the Hound, the (un)kiss + metaphor of the cruel mouth/kisses
Jon and Ygritte, the cave as the romantic get-away and Ygritte as Orell's eagle
Both are seeking comfort in the romance they associate with those events (the cave, the knight come in the princess' tower to free her), more than with the people they were with (the Hound and Ygritte) who are decoys of each other (Ygritte actually predates on Jon who wishes for Ghost as a shield between the two of them; and the Hound almost kills/rape Sansa who is pressed down against the bed and threatened at blade-end even as the Hound offers to take her away from KL). The important thing is: Jon left the cave, Sansa did not go with the Hound. They chose reality over that idealisation and they will find their way back to each other. They both took a willing choice and though they both wonder of what would've happened if they chose differently (if Jon never left the cave and what it represented and if Sansa went with the Hound) they both have chosen differently and that has set them on the path to each other and to the true romance they have been seeking, finding it eventually in each other.
So, in conclusion, yeah, the mask could also hint toward Sansa hiding under the Alayne Stone persona. I think that as many metaphors it does hold many meanings, and these are the ones I personally give it.
Hope you enjoyed the read and thank you for your ask!, as always I wish you a very nice day!

Now online: Of Emperors, Empresses, and Vagebonds, chapter 10, Poison part I
Synopsis: Petyr’s life as a slave of the Tully household takes another turn for the worst when Selyse finally gives birth to Edmure’s son. This chapter belongs to: Of Emperors, Empresses, and Vagebonds A story set in ancient Rome: Sansa is the pampered eldest daughter of Ned Stark, an influential senator and patriarch of one of the oldest and most respected noble families in Rome. She is betrothed to Viserys Targeryan, a nephew of the emperor and his direct heir. Petyr Bealish is a much abused sex slave who was sold into prostitution at a young age. His cruel life experiences have honed his instincts on nothing but survival. Highly intelligent and with a ruthless streak, he is desperate to scrabble his way out of destitution and slavery, and ends up serving the Stark family and Sansa in particular. To Petyr, the Starks are just pawns, and he is willing to justify all means to reach his ultimate goals, until his evolving feelings for his mistress complicates all of his well-laid out plans.
