Happy father's day to the outdoor tomcat we feed at my village house who dragged over this little pipsqueak so we could feed him too.

Odd behaviour for a male cat but he lets his mini me eat from his bowl, trails him, bumps heads with him and lets him play with his tail. And yes, I'm pretty sure the pipsqueak is his, i mean... the green eyes are already evident. No paternity test needed 💕

So one night I dreamt up this little kitty/lizard hybrid, he was apparently a pet I had. I thought he would be a cool OC to post, and then Shrumpy was born. Don't know what I'm going to do with him just yet though lol.

Fun facts about this creature:

Very tiny but pretty long in length

He's soft like a cat despite his lizard like appearance and the gator teeth he has

LOVES to chew on things, makes a "SCREEEEE" sound when you try to stop him, but he's down for a petsie in order to stop

Canon Hivallion Trivia Facts

Mrs. Askew (Arlen's mother; full name is Petunia "Petsy" Askew) made all of Hivallion's clothes while the elf guested at their home in Long Cleeve, primarily because she disapproved of the Elven garb he brought with him from Celondim. The hobbit matron encountered considerable difficulty finding the words to describe the traditional, ancient-styled robes, but eventually settled for "a bit eerie". Moreover, she wanted him to set a good example for the town's youngsters by "dressing proper-like, like a proper tutor". Hivallion deemed it best to leave his follow-up question unprobed.

His trousers in particular were all created from the same heavily altered hobbit-sized pattern and are supposed to be full length. According to the 6'4" Hivallion, "[Mrs. Askew] did the best she could."

Hivallion is an excellent artist, and in fact earned a small bit of renown during the Second Age for publishing a number of illustrated books about the wildlife of his homelands, both current (Mithlond) and extinct (The Falas). He specializes in field sketches of birds, completed with incredible speed and detail, in lieu of cameras.

His most widely read book would probably be The Land of Little Songs, a layman's guide to the songbirds of Lindon (whose Sindaran title was a bit of a pun). Indeed, nobody was more surprised than Hivallion himself when he found a copy of this very book nestled on a shelf in the Library of Zudrugund!

His fast-sketching skills also come in handy during his more clandestine missions as a scout or an envoy, but as High King Gil-galad himself once remarked in the early days of the Battle of Daglorad, after seeing an eyewitness sketch account that Hivallion produced during a recce: "Yeah, that'll be the Gwetherain alright, but why's they all look like bloody birds?"

While traveling south with several of his fellows in the Grey Company, the famously po-faced Ranger Radanir noticed Hivallion—accompanying the group at Elrond's request—sketching away in his journal. With his favorite pipe dangling moodily from his nether lip, Radanir watched in silence for a time, before finally rustling up the nerve to ask the elf if he wouldn't mind doing his portrait. Hivallion agreed, and within a half-hour's time presented Radanir with a terribly detailed depiction of a Trollshaws Nutcracker, smoking a long-stemmed pipe and wearing a ranger's hood, producing a brief but welcome spasm of laughter from the subject.
