Okay im def missing A LOT!! I dont know as much i wanna abt cobrastarship n the academy is and ptv and paramore and their like drama and whatnot!! So i didnt wanna include info i was unsure abt!

Also i wanna clarify that i don't genuinely ship petekey or peterick or frerard or ryden or any of those im mainly messing around (but i do think like some stuff MAY have happened im more of truther than shipper if that makes sense!!)

Pete Wentz is a lousy mobster, but he's a great pool-party animal. Patrick Stump is a great pool-boy slash bartender, but he didn't infiltrate the Clandestine crime family's villa just to fish lost bikini tops out of the pool. The Don believes Pete's crucial to keeping the balance between the warring clans of the LA underworld, and Patrick is the Don's to command. Even if he doesn't understand how a half-drunk party boy is crucial to anything but crashing the booze economy (and the delicate chemical balance of Patrick's pool).

Still, there's something more than seriously questionable pool fashion to the clueless crime lord and it's not long before the pool boy is under his spell.

The only question is whether or not these two have enough sense between them to fill a banana hammock.

When did you start learning the lore of these bands? Parx bad suns hunny and the ones youve mentiond?

hmmmm its been a while!!!! it all happened at different times…. my personal bandom timeline was like:

- october 2017: get into fall out boy like a man POSSESSED, consume all fob content and move on to bandom at large (panic, mcr)

- november 2017: i am now for the first time in my life a Person Who Likes Bands. my good friends astro lux and keri keep talking about this band called bad suns so i check it out and i love it!!!! they then fill me in on jasto so i absorb basic bad shunny lore

- feb 2018: i start expanding my bandom knowledge into cobra starship, tai, the hush sound, etc

- july 2018: i am made aware of waterparks bc idkhow announces theyre touring together. i do cursory research and offhandedly like them. in november i catch awsten on my shoulder after a failed stage dive, saving his life. i think nothing about this

- may 2019: waterparks releases turbulent and i remember they exist. i laugh and tell all my friends about the peterick lyric then forget about them again

- feb 2020: my friend starts talking about waterparks because they have an oc that awsten is just wholesale ripping off by existing. i remember awsten exists again and listen to fandom and its fine

- may 2020: i read awstens book. i realize hes in love with otto and also an insane person. my fate is sealed. i start writing fic and we all go to hell

- summer(?) 2021: christo and awsten become closer friends. i am consumed and harass my aforementioned 3 friends for more info about bad suns and hunny and start digging for myself for the first time

the moral of this story is. i dont know actually. dont read anybodys biography or you might become possessed by demons and start new rpf movements i guess

SOS - 1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

i'd just got into fob and was in the midst of consuming as much peterick content as i could. i knew very quickly that i was going to write a hiatus fic. can't say exactly why, it just came readily formed in my mind and it also seemed... realistic (if peterick were ever a thing obviously).

and writing it from pete's pov just... honestly, it seemed more devastating, somehow, in the context of the fic. and devastating was kind of what i was going for for most of it.

SR - 15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

i... wanna say i learned i can write a long fic under pressure (the pressure being it was part of the 2019 peterick summer challenge), but i since seemed to have forgotten how to do that lol, so idk if it counts. oh, i also think i got better at making my writing a bit funnier lol. or at least i got a chuckle out of more scenes than usual in that fic, heh.

Catching Pieces of a Fallen Sky by snarkydame, 21k, Mature. Ray and Frank are the only survivors of the Jersey Queen, an independent freighter hit by (space!) pirates. The trio have become close in that time though just recently having begun to call themselves a crew. Ghoul and Party are helplessly attracted to each other, though for some reason denying it. And Kobra? Well he's just himself. A little lonely but soon he has something, or someone, to take his mind off of it. That person however is not exactly in the best uh shape to help Kobra as he watches his brother and best friend ignore their feelings towards each other. Also: who the hell decided it’d be a good idea to give them a baby?

Favorite story I’ve written so far: probably sunshine riptide. i think it’s the most solid of all fics i’ve ever written and i genuinely enjoy rereading it. i probably peaked as a writer in the summer of 2019 lol

Fics you were nervous to post: all of them? but i guess the subject matter in said i’ll be fine in particular made me kinda nervous to post for reasons other than general “do i suck” nerves. cancer is something that needs to be written sensitively and with at least some degree of accuracy, so i was a little worried at first that i may make a mistake somewhere. i think i handled the fic well overall though.

How do you choose your titles: fob lyrics. forever and always fob lyrics. i wait til the end, trawl over fob’s discography for lyrics that fit, and viola.

Do you outline?: yeah, though it usually veers off somewhere else midway through the actual fic writing.

Complete: on ao3? 8 in all, but most of them are pretty lengthy so i’m quite proud of that number tbh. 

In progress: i just checked my gdocs and uhhh, i have at least a dozen wips in there, at various levels of completion.

Coming soon: uhhh, something! eventually! not sure what though lol... i have a youtuber au which is probably the most complete, though idk who would want to read a youtuber peterick au other than me. but i also have a pandemic roommate friends with benefits thing that i really want to publish next, so. we’ll see!

i’ll be honest: 2020 was a shitty writing year for me. i spent a lot of time out of work but unable to use that time to get my brain to write anything. all i put out to ao3 was two chapters of said i’ll be fine (though i did thankfully finish that fic, which was nice). it’s something i’m still struggling with, but if i can just put stuff out there this year, that’ll be enough for me.

Prompts: i’m open to prompts! although... it may take a few weeks or months for me to complete it, i’m not gonna lie.

Summer Lovin’ (Peterick Style)

Hello lovelies, we’re back again with a brand new challenge!

This time, we’re inviting you to write and submit your best summer-themed fics. What kind of thing do we mean? Well, the sky really is the limit, much like the holiday-themed challenges. Warped Tour? Long, hot summer days (and nights!) in the van? Holiday romance? Festivals and vacation weddings and popsicles staining the sidewalk, you really are free to make whatever you want from this, so long as it takes place during the summer months and has that summer vibe. 

Once again, we don’t set a minimum word count - but we don’t set a maximum either so, if you really want to go nuts and write an epic, that would be amazing! We also don’t ask for smut if you don’t feel comfortable writing it, but we do ask that it’s Peterick and that it’s a romantic pairing. Gen fics and friend fics are great, but not the purpose of the Peterick Creations Challenge!
