Not gonna lie, he is a bit out of the loop for the most part. He has a few artists he follows (every Peter Parker is a T.aylor S.wift fan on some level imo), but he really did disappear into being Spider-Man for a long time. For the most part, it's just been music that he's known since high school with the occasional new release that had broken through his tendency to just keep his head down and get through his days with being Peter Parker as little as possible. A lot of what he read, too, was mostly stuff for his classes or science journals related to whatever he was working on at the moment.

These days, though, he's started to listen to the radio and some of MJ's music a bit more. He doesn't always have the attention span to sit down and read (he likes sci-fi the most) but he's started to get into audiobooks and podcasts a bit!

BIOGRAPHY

he’s not sure when it came back, or if it had started to begin with, but Telford Porter was aware of his powers earlier than most mutants. growing up in an orphanage, he was always good at hiding from the staff - behind the doors, under beds. till the day he vanished.

his earlier life wasn’t stuff for stories, poor young boy goes to the city to try find a way to his life - something that would make him proud to say ‘ yes, i did this.’. but life’s not a fairy tale, and soon he falls into the underworld of crimes. he’s not cut for a life of begging, so he aims higher and higher - so high that his eventual fall is even greater. he was a strong teleporter, unbeatable. until he met The Professor.

Charles wiped Ford’s memories when the boy was twenty something, after a small but brilliant fight against the x men. without his memories, it took him years to realise the extention of his powers. during one of the many revolts at the prison he was in, he found himself in danger, only for something happen. suddenly, the guards couldn’t see him - as if he had vanished in thin air. controlling his breathing was the hardest thing he did, but he eventually manage to walk out of the prison in secret.

one would think his jail time had turned him into something better, but the contrary happened. still with no memories and learning how to control this new found ability, Vanisher took his crime life back picking up where he had left and started to track down his own past. 

he eventually found out the truth, and settled in a small town, waiting - practicing his abilities once again. in two years he becomes a drug lord of some sort and that’s where his story truly begins.

he is getting older but not wiser and, still he craves the same dream he had as a young boy - he wants to do something worth it. so he steals, now from his rivals (the bad guys, as he likes to think of them) to try and make it up for his past mistakes. it does little to no good.

he gets sicker and sicker - maybe it’s an effect of the excessive drinking problem he insists he does not have - and finally returns to the city, in one of his safe houses, well... not exactly a house. his brothel was a little slimy thing, but the girls ( his girls ) were nice and kind enough to help him.

he goes on with his life, more like a ghost than a man, till the day he comes across a sign - deadpool ( that sick fucker in the BDSM red suit that appeared on the tv news ) was pulling together a team of mutants. he doesn’t think much of it but heads inside that room anyway, refusing to show his face at first, just to be sure.

perhaps that one encounter with Xavier had an effect on him, but once he joins the team, he still doesn’t trust them to see him - after all, if they can’t see you, they can’t hurt you, right? he always hated flying and heightes were not his thing, but when Pool tells him to jump, he does it.... only to fall in his death - or so it was thought.

there’s something strange about time, he had to admit, it’s affect was never tangible and yet, it remained fierce and strong. when Red saved Peter, changing the timeline once again, Vanisher teleported himself to the nearest safe corner, barely alive.

EXTRA INFORMATIONS

as i write him, i’ll dump here some infos \ hcs that are important to know before approaching him.

the reason behind he is almost never seen is both because he is wary around people he doesn’t trust and because being invisible actually makes him spend less energy than being seen. in the end, it requires less energy to force his clothes to become invisible than to make himself visible as a whole.

bitter to no end, he does not care much about looks ( his own included ) or money itself. 

he can teleport up to 11 people with him, and is capable of partial teleportation ( eg: teleporting only his hand ) but in smaller ranges, he still has to practice that, though, as it’s limitations are still unknown to him.

he is proud to be a mutant and, for years, was a supporter to Magneto’s ideas. nowadays, he still is proud but human lives have started to matter to him.

he is a trained marksmen and a amateur technician; 

he possesses avarage strength and fighting skills of a man of his age and build ;  his overall stamina and speed when teleporting are, however, are heightened.

his teletransportation differs from Kurt Wagner’s. Vanisher uses a purely psionic ‘trigger’, that way no smoke or smell is seen. furthermore, he possesses an instinctual extrasensory ability that prevents him from materializing all or part of his body within a solid object, like a wall for example. he is capable of teleporting to any place within his teleportational range, whether he had seen it or not, without danger of harming himself.

Ford is depressed at his core, his favourite copying mechanisms are drinking and having sex - and both have lead him to become sick;

he does not use drugs ( aside from the occasional marijuana cigarette every now and then ), he sold drugs for long enough to see what could happen if he got addicted;

his favourite team member is Domino, she is rather amusing.

he once spent one year in Brazil to learn portuguese.

Peter 1: Though he often feels very guilty that his mistake has now lead to MJ occasionally getting pulled into his universe too, Peter is happy (or as happy as he can be while, again, feeling bad that her life also gets disrupted now) to see her when that does happen. Though he's still very much struggling when he first meets this MJ from Peter 3's universe, once he's a little more stable on his feet he always makes sure to get a can of her favorite soda when he gets food when they're both in his universe. Bizarrely, it's the only soda between the two universes that even tastes remotely the same according to Peter 3.

Peter 3: The day after Peter (finally) officially moved into MJ's apartment, he thought it'd be nice to surprise her with coffee in bed as soon as she woke up. Peter being Peter, though, he made the choice to hang upside down above MJ by a web strand- sipping from his own mug while holding hers in the other hand. He might have needed to wait until she was a little more accustomed to how much he could often be found on anything but the floor though... He started to say "Good morning" as soon as he saw MJ's eyes start to open but only got "Goo-" out before she got him squarely in the nose. Quick reflexes prevented either of them from getting doused with hot coffee though the mugs themselves didn't survive the fall, but all Peter could do was apologize for startling her through his laughter- and say how proud he was that she'd remembered his lessons on throwing a solid punch.

Insom Peter: When he does wind up subbing at Midtown on occasion, MJ will frequently meet him for lunch- or at minimum bring him his lunch that he just as frequently forgets at home. Depending on the weather, they'll either eat in whatever classroom he has for the day or outside on one of the benches on the outer limits of the school's grounds (their spot back in the day was the bleachers by the football field but that is quite obviously still under some serious repair/construction after... recent events). The students think MJ is the coolest person ever with her motorcycle and refer to her as Mrs. Parker... and Peter has yet to correct them on that.

It wasn’t just an odd sense of loyalty he’d felt or just the grief that had kept him isolated for all these years. It wasn’t just the fear of someone he cared for getting hurt again that had made him keep his secret so fiercely. It wasn’t something he admitted to or perhaps even something he’d fully understood until now, but part of Peter knew just how deeply he cared. How deeply he loved. How he would do anything to protect those he cared for. And for a person with his abilities, his strength... Maybe he’d lied to Gwen that day by the football field. Or maybe he hadn’t understood it himself at the time, so new to the whole idea. It did scare him what he could do sometimes. What his anger meant. How if it’d been anyone but Harry that night...

Peter 1: Thread- I really love that he explained The Clone Wars series to @paragonrising. MCU Peter is 1000000% a prequels nerd and you can't convince me otherwise. Canon- Just how kind and soft he is honestly? I do sorta think we're missing something by not seeing pre-bite MCU Peter (boo @ whoever decided to make Freshman Year non-canon) but I just love how he just does his best to be nice to everyone he meets. Even if they're shooting at him lol.

Peter 3: Thread- Recently, telling @redhead-reporter to punch him. Peter pls. Canon- Just?????? His eyes when he's walking towards Gwen in TASM2 to get ice cream???????? Oh my gosh????????????? Peter "Literal Heart Eyes" Parker 😍

you swallow pain & fold around it

you have always hurt. you hold it carefully, and twisted in such a way that other people don't have to see it. you don't choke on it. you don't drown. you just have it, the way some people have freckles, this is a thing that lives in your bones. you fold instead of fighting because you know how to make yourself small, tuck away the places where they have clawed at, swallow the bruises so you seem clean. nobody needs to see it. you will live through this on your own. you know what you need, and relief isn't it. this doesn't mean you cannot reach out - it means it is not in your nature to do so. you should. hiding does not mean you won't be seen.

what does tasm!peter view as his prized possession ?

i love talking about my character(s).

Hmm... I feel like this can change a lot depending on where he's at in his life but...The easiest and most obvious answer would be his dad's hidden lab- it's a place he keeps well protected and it's a very guarded secret for him. But really it's the things that he's found in the lab. Of course the video he found of his dad explaining why he had to go is something he treasures and has backed up securely in more than a few places. But something else that touched his heart was something he found in a pile of papers by the old computer in the lab- a kindergarten graduation card that his dad had started to write a note in. His parents had left him at May and Ben's just a few days before the end of his first school year. So while the video had told him that his dad had cared so much for him, the card had confirmed that. It also made him a little more determined himself to be more on top of special events in the lives of those he cares about too- not waiting until the last moment to find a way to celebrate because who knows what might come up before you get a chance? He's still not great at it, of course, but... he does try.

No matter what time of day it is when Peter 3 finds himself back in Peter 1′s universe, he always stops to pick up a pizza before he goes to find his “brother”. He noticed that the younger Peter seemed to lose a bit of weight when he was first starting out on his own- struggling to both make ends meet and balance caring for himself with his other responsibilities with no one else around- so he started bringing food with him. Peter 1′s started to do a bit better now, but it’s pretty much become tradition for the pair to split an extra-large pizza whenever Peter 3 is back in town.

After Gwen’s death, after Peter had at least accepted that fact and had held back from doing anything more than making sure Harry was good and secure and would be found eventually, Peter Parker did the hardest thing he’d ever done in his life: He brought Gwen home.

Though he knew the police would get there eventually, there was never a doubt in his mind that that was the right thing to do- however difficult. He owed it to her, to her father, and to what remained of her family to do this himself.

Going through the lobby of her building for once, the doorman had understood right away and let him up. The image of Helen Stacy’s face when she saw her daughter in his arms is something that will haunt Peter for the rest of his life. He explained the best he could, leaving Harry’s name out of it but apologizing over and over and over again for not being fast enough... but also emphasizing that her daughter had been a hero herself, helping turn the lights back on in the city despite the danger- saving lives herself.

Eventually, Mrs. Stacy later called Peter herself to let him know, not knowing that, between sobs of grief, she was repeating parts of what he’d told her himself only hours before.

After some times passes and he gets back on his feet as a web-slinging hero, Peter eventually moves a lot of his Spider-Man stuff to the hidden subway car lab in Roosevelt Station. He still keeps his suit and a few items for emergency repairs in his room (and eventually apartment when he moves out), but upgrades and bigger repairs happen in that lab. That way, he’s less worried about May or his landlord or someone coming across something that could out his secret identity. And though he still has complicated feelings around his parents abandoning him after Norman threatened his dad, it’s a space that he feels sort of close to them and is near to his heart. He doesn’t share this space with anyone, and always takes care to go in as himself and not his super alter-ego- even if he’s hurt and the location is closer than his own apartment.

This is more a headcanon to make certain threads work, but:

Peter 3 occasionally gets pulled back into the MCU/Earth 616 since, obviously, Peter Parker can’t exactly forget Peter Parker. While the spell Dr. Strange cast did work to keep all of the other multiverseal trespassers out, it didn’t quite negate the original one. He keeps meaning to try and find Dr. Strange during one of his involuntary visits to the MCU to get something sorted out, but he does like being able to keep an eye on and help Peter 1 sometimes. When he gets back home, though, he’s working on figuring out a scientific way (or at least science as he understands it since magic is just another sort of science) to be able to travel the multiverse. So maybe he’ll just wait to talk to Dr. Strange about it until he’s got that figured out...

🕸also because it’s one of those weird things my brain overthinks, re: the subject of being called “pete”:

Peter 1: Not a huge fan. Only person that referred to him with that name has been Adrien Toomes/Vulture and he feels like people are talking down to him/treating him like a kid when they call him that.

Peter 3: Is a little confused when people call him that as it’s barely shorter than his full name so why bother? It’s not that he minds he just doesn’t get it.

Peter first got introduced to Doctor Who when he was flicking through the channels trying to find something to watch. BBC America just happened to be playing Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. He’d heard of the show before, but hadn’t watched it until then. Intrigued by the episode, he started from the 9th Doctor’s first episode on Netflix and was very confused when he got to Evolution of the Daleks/Daleks in Manhattan. He managed to get Gwen into the show, too, and they dressed up as the 10th Doctor and Rose to go see Day of the Doctor when it got released in movie theaters for the show’s 50th anniversary. Dark Water/Death In Heaven hit him pretty hard in late 2014. Peter’s favorite Doctor is the 10th Doctor, and though he’s not seen a whole lot of the older series, he likes what he’s seen of the 3rd Doctor.
