Books/ Classics adapted as Teenflicks- Poll Asks
Hey guys:
So.... Everyone knows that Do Revenge (2022) was an adaptation of Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train. This continues a trend that was in the late 1990s/early 2000s- Clueless was adapted from Emma, 10 Things I Hate About You from The Taming of the Shrew, She's the Man from Twelfth Night, She's All That from Pygmalion, and many others.
So... What should be the next "modern" adaptation from the following classic mysteries? (I'm excluding Rear Window, Double Indemnity, and Wait Until Dark, given that they have been adapted to a certain degree)
#adaptations of classics into teenflicks#clueless#emma#10 things i hate about you#the taming of the shrew#she's all that#pygmalion#she's the man#twelfth night#do revenge#strangers on a train#and the next should be...#charade 1963#notorious#laura 1944#how to steal a million#dark passage#play misty for me#a fish called wanda#personally i would've picked charade#cause you know- fake IDs and Internet identities are a big thing in today's world#i kind of already see the story in high school settings

Winner of the first Zandicktober poll ^^ Notes: Omega's fashion choices stem from Dottore's youth. Tags: Dottore x reader, nothing explicit in this one, 1k words
Foliage crumbling should have drawn his attention, all instinct screaming for his neck to twist and eyes to search. Predators were abundant. It might have been foolhardy to leave the confines of Sumeru city armed with nothing but a dagger, and he suspected you were even worse off, dressed for getting a cup of coffee and not searching for a rumored wooden archway inscribed with faintly glowing runes.
Ideally, Zandik would have gone by himself, but you'd been persistent, and frankly, with all the trouble the Sages had been giving him as of late, arguing with you was far beneath him. In an effort to get your attention, Zandik kicked at a few loose stones littering the trodden path, listening intently to their clattering and thuds as a few fell off the ledge and into the mud below.
"Left at the next split, I won't come back to find you."
Bark cracking and ripping caught his attention, fighting the urge to whip around for less than a second before succumbing, fingers already pinching the bridge of his nose. This was going to take all day with you.
Normally, you would bounce around between oddities, picking up a rock here, taking a few leaves there, seeing a beetle, making a note, listening to birds, you were all over the place. But somehow, you managed to be even worse today. Either that, or Zandik's lack of sleep looking through old legends in the House of Daena was catching up. Your gasps of wonder were annoying all the same.
Today had been different. It felt like you'd been deliberately staying out of sight, skirting the periphery of his vision at best and calling his name loudly when you'd lost track of his movements at worst.
"Six times," Zandik held his breath, waiting for your eyes to meet his, "that's the number of instances where you've gotten lost today."
It was awful how you cocked your head like an innocent puppy, perhaps not innocent, but one who didn't know better at least. When a gust of wind had passed, shaking a few nuts loose, three of which you promptly collected, Zandik realized with great dismay that you weren't going to say anything.
Utterly insufferable. If you weren't the only person willing to assist him without asking too many questions, he would've rid himself of your presence long ago.
"It's a beautiful day is it not?" How you could still manage to smile was perhaps a more frustrating conundrum than the fairy tale creatures supposedly inhabiting the northern parts. "It'd be a shame not to enjoy it."
For a moment, Zandik swore he saw red, patience all but decayed, "It would be a shame to waste daylight!" He'd all but screamed, so how were you still smiling? "But of course, someone as moronic and dispensable wouldn't understand the concept of wastefulness!"
It took some effort, feeling seconds away from his teeth snapping under the force of his bite, to refrain from letting his gaze wander towards the rustle that drew your attention. You deserved both the unease of the wilds and the full weight of his gaze, one an acclaimed terror among the Akademiya's students.
Predators were abundant, yes, but they were shy, they'd learned what humans were capable of, especially in groups.
Mere seconds of his thoughts wandering and Zandik stumbled backwards. How you'd gotten close enough that he could feel your breath ghost along his cheeks was a mystery.
It was too difficult, his own lips pulling back in a sneer at the sight of your tongue wetting yours.
As fresh dew, your voice was crisp, "You're that mad? What about the whole charade of 'being responsible for myself' you gave me," Zandik felt heat rise, pushing down the urge to tug at the collar of his shirt when you continued' "are you really so worried about me?"
He'd snapped out a 'no' before his heel could even hit the ground, making sure to invade your space. How dare you challenge a finality with such conviction? Either the air was particularly humid today or Zandik would have to admit the truth of your words to himself.
Reluctantly, he'd admired your blatant disregard for established dogmas from the moment you first sought him out, but used against a cornerstone of his perceived self?
"-use this," despite the earnest smile on your lips, Zandik recognized the smug satisfaction lurking just beneath the surface.
Mercenaries had been active on the paths not far from there, screaming would most likely alert them, meaning Zandik had to instead bite down hard on his tongue and pray the frustration boiling in his blood would settle quick. This had all been planned, and he hadn't noticed.
Another pebble was kicked down the ledge, visualizing your head in its place. Too busy navigating the terrain, keeping you in check, and watching for dangers, he'd missed the greatest of them all directly in front of him. Poisoned fangs behind upturned lips, hypnotizing eyes under thick lashes, and an outstretched hand, wholly bereft of claws.
Instead, a piece of leather lay in your palm, offered up as sweet bait to lure him close enough for the kill. A hellish, carnivorous plant was what you were.
This was enough, he decided, coating his words in venom as he smacked the leash away, "Do you think this is funny? Do you even think?" A satisfied huff left him, pleased by the sight of you kneeling down.
Some of your amusement faded as you picked it up and wiped off the mud. "Loosen up at bit, will you?"
"Loosen up?" It was stupid, Zandik knew it was, but it didn't stop his voice from raising, "You are being insufferable, I have half a mind to-"
The forest held its breath, eerily quiet while Zandik's eyes widened, heat rising to his cheeks with the brush of your fingers against his skin. Swallowing was difficult with how tight the collar looked around your neck, imagining it pressing against his own instead.
"Half a mind to what?" Your near purring voice wasn't helping the situation either.
Zandik briefly caught himself glancing down at how your fingers wrapped around the leather, trying desperately to get the imagery of you tugging at it out of his mind.
He took it with a still hand, forcing himself not to follow the leash to where it connected securely to the collar around your neck.
"Aren't you happy? No more getting angry because I wander off."

Good Puppy Part 5
Miguel O'Hara x GN!Reader
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
⚠️WARNING: NSFW IMPLICATIONS⚠️
Summary: Awkward
Breakfast was awkward. Pretending to love Miguel was one thing. Pretending to love Miguel after grinding on him and then getting off to the thought of him was a whole other issue! You swore your cheeks were in a permanent blush since that moment. You did your best to keep your attention on your family, but your mind kept wandering.
The grip of his hand.
The ragged breathing.
The desperate tone.
You wanted it to happen again.
“Junebug, dear, are you listening?” Your mother’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. You look up from your plate of pancakes to your mother. Everyone’s attention was on you.
“Oh, sorry, I zoned out. What happened?” You ask, feeling your cheeks heat up from embarrassment.
“The twins had the bright idea to camp outside! We’re going to make it a family thing!” Your mother recounted excitedly. “Will you come shopping with us while the men set everything up here?”
“Sure!” You reply with a smile. Time away from Miguel sounded like a godsend. Maybe then your mind wouldn’t be so horny.
“Here,” Miguel rumbled as he handed you his card, “I’ll pay for it.”
He has a black card?! You thought as you tried not to drop your jaw. You've known him for how long, and he never told you?! Why was he showing it off now?!
Was he trying to impress your family?!
“Oh, no, Miguel, we can’t ask that of you.” Your father says. Miguel only smiles. He looks so good when he smiles…
“I’m offering from my own free will.” He says coolly, gently taking your hand and placing the card in it. “Please allow me to show my gratitude for your hospitality” His eyes slid from your father to you, his eyes staring into yours intensely. “And for gifting me such a beautiful soul to love and be loved by.” A collection of “awe” filled the air.
You have never wanted to kiss someone so bad.
“Get yourself a fruit bowl, amor.” He says casually, eyes still holding your gaze. You manage to nod your head.
“Okay.”
“Can I get myself one, too?” Sammy asks.
“Sammy!” Your mother scolds.
“What? It was just a—”
“No.” Miguel interrupts curtly, never even glancing her way. Your cheeks were burning at this point.
It’s fake-it’s fake-it’s fake-it’s fake. You chanted in your head. It felt like you had to remind yourself a lot about that recently.
You were first to look away from the shared eye contact. Any longer, and you would've jumped him. You see Miguel turn away in your periphery. You clear your throat.
“So, when do we leave?”
“Junie, I will not ask again. Get the watermelon.” Your mother said sternly. Her voice sliced through your mindless fog and had your back stiffening. She only called you that when you were in trouble.
“Sorry, mom!” You hurried off for the produce section. You have been nothing but distracted since you got to the store. No matter how hard you tried, your mind seemed to trail back to this morning. You swore your mind was torturing you. It was like you were an addict experiencing withdrawal despite only having a taste. You groaned softly and rubbed at your eyes.
Focus, dammit. You mentally scolded yourself. You took a deep breath and began your tireless search for the juiciest watermelon in the bunch. Once found, you hurried back to where you last saw your family. You frown as you begin in a slow circle before picking a direction to hurry off to. One thing you hated about grocery shopping was always losing everyone whenever you went to do something else. You won't lie. It was quite annoying to have to go through. The endless up and down of the aisles, looking like a crazed person as you feverishly searched. You groan and take your phone out, only to pause at the message on your screen. A message from Miguel.
'We need to talk when you get back'
Was he discovered? Was he not able to continue this charade? Oh gods, was he going to talk about—
“You got the watermelon!” You were thrown out of your thoughts when Maggie took the watermelon out of your hold. You quickly pocket your phone.
“Oh, um, yeah.” You walk with her through the aisles. She gives you a look.
“You doing okay there?” She asks. You look at her and see the concern knitting her eyebrows together. You offer a smile.
“I’m fine.” You tell her. She looked unconvinced.
“Junie, I love you, but you’re such a terrible liar.” She says.
Say that to my relationship with Miguel. You thought before it gave you pause. Wait, no, what relationship?
“Junie?” Maggie tries again. Her hand was on your arm, both of you halting by the toilet paper. “Seriously, are you okay?”
“I’m okay, I promise.” You say then sigh. “It’s just…”
“Just?” Maggie pressed. You huff.
“Miguel wants to talk to me about something.” You tell her. It felt nice to be able to talk about something about your fake relationship with Miguel. You pretended you didn’t have to remind yourself of that fact. “I’m not sure what it is, but I’m really worried about it.”
“Oh, Junie.” Maggie pulled you in for a hug. “I doubt it’s anything bad. Miguel loves you!”
“I don’t know—” She’s quick to brush you off.
“Please, you can see it clearly on his face and the way he looks at you! I’m surprised he could even keep his hands off you.” She says with a giggle. You feel your cheeks heat up.
“Maggie, stop.” You cover your cheeks.
“I’m serious!” Her voice comes out in a hushed tone. “I swear sometimes it feels like he’s undressing you with his eyes!”
“Maggie!” You gasped, your face red as a tomato. You gave her a light smack on her arm. She laughs.
“I’m serious! Really, don’t sweat it. He loves you. We all know it.” Maggie smiles, and you couldn’t help but smile back.
“Thanks.”
“No problem. Now, let's get back to mom before she blows her top.” You both giggle and hurry away.
Miguel stared at his phone as if willing you to respond back to him. He can’t keep up the charade. He couldn’t keep pretending to be in love with you.
Not while being in love with you.
He wasn’t sure how you’d react to his confession, nor was he sure if you’d share feelings. Since that morning, you’ve plagued his mine. He’ll admit, not in the most innocent ways, but he still couldn’t deny it. He really did love you. He didn’t know why it took him so long to figure it out, or why it took you grinding on his dick to figure it out, but he wasn’t about to go any longer without calling you his.
“You alright there, son?” Your father asked him. Miguel looked up from his phone and put it away. He shot your father a charming smile.
“Of course, just missing my girl is all. My girl. It felt so right on his tongue. Just like how he hoped you felt-shock, your dad was right there! Miguel was quick to force his thoughts clean.
“I wish I could say it gets easier with time.” Your father said with a laugh, clapping a hand on Miguel’s shoulder and leading him to the backyard. “But I miss my wife every time I don’t see her.”
“Even while sleeping?” Miguel asks.
“Not at all, I dream of her in my sleep.” He sighs, making Miguel chuckle. “I am forever grateful I met her.”
“That much, huh?” Miguel asks him. Your father nods.
“Just as much as you love our Junebug.” He says. Miguel flusters a bit. Was he that obvious?
“I just hope they know.” Miguel says. Your father chuckled.
“Nothing like just saying ‘I love you.’” Your dad tells him as they rejoined Pete and the kids, who were busy setting up the tents. Miguel was surprised at how simple Your father put it. But was it that easy? Did you love him back? Or was all your blushing and hints just part of the charade? He really hoped it wasn't.
Despite wanting to talk to Miguel as soon as possible, your family somehow kept you both separate from each other. The most you were able to do was give him sparing glances as you passed by each other or met each other's eyes from across the yard. Dinner was a definite no. However, Miguel had quickly cut up his food, so his left hand was free to lay on your thigh and gently caress it with his thumb. The action left you so heated and surprisingly comforted. He wouldn't do that if what he needed to talk about wasn't good, right? You tried to focus on that thought rather than the darker thoughts that filled your mind.
Your mother had ushered everyone outside after dinner where your father had built and lit a fire. Maggie brought out the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. The younger kids cheered. Everyone took their places around the fire. Everyone was throwing jokes and stories, laughing, and having a good time. It didn’t take long for you to forget about everything. You found yourself laughing and jumping in with your own stories, unaware of the gaze Miguel was giving you. You gasped and turned to him suddenly, pressing a hand to his chest.
“Remember Brad?!” You asked with a laugh. The very name had him rolling his eyes.
“Don’t remind me. I still don’t know what you saw in him.” Miguel huffed.
“Who’s Brad?” Sammy asks with interest.
“Oh, he was my—” You cut yourself off. Shit, you forgot. How the hell are you going to talk about your ex?!
“Their boyfriend before me.” Miguel answers with ease. “Before they knew I loved them. Worst three months of my life.”
“You never told me you had someone before Miguel!” Maggie gasped. You chuckled a bit nervously.
“To be fair, it was nothing serious.”
“Nothing about that man was serious. I’m surprised he even had a job, what with his lack of responsibility and his tendency to slack off. Really, it was a godsend when they broke up. I was able to sweep my love off their feet and show them exactly how they should be treated.” Miguel scoffed. There was something strange about his tone.
“Now, Miguel, you aren’t still jealous of their ex, are you?” Thomas joked. You looked from your brother to Miguel.
“Is that true?” You ask. Miguel clears his throat and averts his gaze.
“‘Course not. I’ve got you, don’t I?” Miguel mumbled. You couldn’t help but smile. Whether this was fake or not, it was real enough for you. You leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
“My big grumpy man.” You whisper, earning yourself a dust of pink on his cheeks and a soft smile.
“I’m not that grumpy, am I?” He whispered back, his tone playful.
“Not to me.” You say, gazing up into his eyes as you did so. Something flickered in his eyes.
“Get a room!” Thomas called, followed by a chorus from the rest of your family. You and Miguel chuckle.
“Maybe we will!” You call out, standing. Miguel was quick to follow. You waved off your family as Miguel led you to the tent you were both supposed to share. He pulled the flap back to allow you in, crawling in after you. You laughed.
“Can you believe them? I swear they’re all-Miguel?” You turned to see him looking a bit more somber.
“Amor, this is our chance to talk.” He says quietly. Your blood runs cold.
“Wh-what is it?” You ask, spluttering slightly at the sudden change of mood.
“It’s about us fake dating.” Miguel says, a pained expression on his face. “I can’t do it.”
His words were like a slap in the face. If you weren’t already sitting, you would have staggered. You felt your heart crack and break, each piece cutting your chest open like a shard of glass. You blinked at him as if he were a hallucination.
“What?” You hated how broken you sounded. Miguel physically winced and took your hand in his. His once warm hand now felt cold as ice to you. You tried to slip away, but he held strong.
“Amor, listen to me first.” He pleaded, his own voice sounding broken. “I can’t pretend to date you because I love you.”

Uhhhh
Usagi Yojimbo
Fake Marriage AU:
Tomoe Ame x Usagi x Mariko x Kenichi
LISTEN LISTEN HEAR ME OUT OKAY
You know how that one advisor/vassal bastard whatever-his-name-is that convinced Noriyuki to marry off Mariko(lords could pick out spouses for their samurai)
What if...some staff in the court heard this plot and alerted Tomoe Ame before the fucker could bring it up to Noriyuki
And she's like fuck the only way I can think to get out of any arranged marriage is by being married but who can I...
Like always our boy Miya popping up at either the worst or best times possible
Now I don't know what logical loops Tomoe Ame goes through for asking Usagi plus his childhood friends to marry her but even though I don't know the why I know the what and how so let's get this AU rolling
She asks Usagi to take her with to visit his hometown for...reasons, yeah... And when they get there she goes dogeza(because girl is desperate and knows that lil shit gunning for her position will not only do a shit job as Noriyuki's right hand but definitely has the vibes of turncoat for self-preservation and so she needs this marriage) asking them to marry her
And they're like um, who are you asking????
Because the way they're positioned it looks like she's proposing to Kenichi, who is y'know married to Mariko(i wanted this to be pre-marriage but then i remembered Jotaro so sacrifices must be made for best boi)
And she doubles down "the three of you, a polyandrous marriage."
"WHAT!?"-childhood friends gang
Then she explains how it's to prevent a plot to weaken her lords court etc etc maybe some other stuff too to convince Kenichi and Mariko(Usagi is always down to help his friends, he's lied to shogunate spies and cops to protect himself or his buddies, ride or die)
A (reluctant) agreement is made and they do the wedding
Now it's basically
Mariko: Bi-crisis ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄×⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄ women...hot?????(living out her teenage fantasy)
Kenichi: Bi-crisis(Demisexual) (‘///◉⌓◉///’) people outside of Mariko... hot?????USAGI HOT????? [Mariko was the only person he had ever had romantic or sexual attraction too so he assumed she was the only one for him, turns out if she hadn't been his first crush and thus birthing a rivalry with Usagi he would've developed a crush on him too, his type is strong sense of duty and good with a sword]
Usagi: Outwardly= worried about Tomoe's situation and how long this good thing will last before it's snatched away like all the things he's ever loved. (・–・;) Inwardly=YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!!! every secret desire and teenage fantasy is coming alive. \(≧▽≦)/ (huh, so I did have a crush on Kenichi back then...)
Tomoe: ya girl is STRESSED. Having to deal with political scheming, making sure her charade isn't found out, making sure that box she locked up her feelings for Usagi with stays buried deep, AND whatever blossoming feelings she has for his childhood friends because Oh No They're Hot (what is in the water for them all to turn out like this)
Jotaro is out here living his best life, finally getting the two dads he wanted PLUS a cool new mom?? SIGN HIM THE FUCK UP!!!
In summation: Tomoe Ame is living in drama/action/romance anime while everyone else is in a romance/comedy/slice of life anime
Endgame is polycule and Tomoe Ame being confused over how things ended up like this
Tomoe Ame tops them
EDIT: Tomoe's type is cringefail losers, the boys are for obvious reasons but you better believe I'm counting Mariko as one, look at the whole Jotaro reveal situation and say she made no cringefail moves
It's fine now tho, Jotaro gets his two cakes in the end with bonus free desert (does this metaphor even work)
Deberían decir gracias a @ranarenee por la inspiración indirecta para esto

Scripts - S6 - Episode 21 (Part 1 of 2)
Casa Day 2, girls arrive, half of Sexy Charades (sorry I had to split this super awkwardly otherwise one would've been super short. This one goes UP TO our turn, Part 2 of 2 starts with our turn)
NARRATOR: *CLICK* *CLACK* *CLICK* *CLACK* *CLICK* *CLACK*
NARRATOR: Do you hear that?! It sounds like a giant eight-legged monster has entered Casa Amor?!
NARRATOR: I knew this day would come! Quick hide in the shed! I have enough biscuits to last years!
NARRATOR: Oh, wait, hold on, it’s just the girls’ high heels as they arrive from the villa!
NARRATOR: Looks like {0} and Marshall may have been caught in an awkward spot!
NARRATOR: How will they get out of this one? And how will Grace react to <i>another</i> Ozzy! Let’s find out!
You and Marshall turn in shock to see Grace! Her eyes look like they’re about to pop out of her head!
GRACE_SURPRISED: {0}?! You’re here! Or are you another sister? A triplet?!
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Grace! No, it’s just me.
Grace stares at Marshall in confusion.
GRACE_SURPRISED: Erm… who are you?
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: You’re the spitting image of Ozzy.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Ozzy couldn’t grow a beard like this.
GRACE_SURPRISED: What’s going on?!
GRACE_SURPRISED: And were you two about to kiss?
We sure were!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yeah, we were actually!
MARSHALL_HAPPY: Before we were so rudely interrupted…
PLAYER_HAPPY: Thanks, Grace…
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: But… what… who? I’m so confused!
Of course not
PLAYER_SURPRISED: Of course we weren’t!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: We weren’t?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: No! Don’t be ridiculous.
MARSHALL_EMBARRASSED: Oh, right, yeah of course.
GRACE_SERIOUS: Then what were you doing?
MARSHALL_EMBARRASSED: Talking… closely.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Uhuh. Care to tell me what’s going on here?
None of your business
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I don’t think that’s any of your business, Grace.
GRACE_SURPRISED: Well it looks to me that you’re about to kiss some clone of Ozzy.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: So it kind of feels like my business!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: I’m no clone of Ozzy. He’s a clone of me if anything, I’m the original.
MARSHALL_HAPPY: Although he did come first, but not by much.
GRACE_SURPRISED: What is going on!?
PLAYER_HAPPY: I guess we have some explaining to do.
Amelia and {0} suddenly arrive behind Grace.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: {0}!?
{0}_SURPRISED: Oh my days! We thought you’d gone home!
AMELIA_HAPPY: This is amazing! I’m so glad you’re here!
{0}_FLIRTY: Good to see you again, {1}.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m sure it is…
Amelia rushes over to you.
AMELIA_SAD: I’ve missed you so much!
PLAYER_IDLE: It’s only been a day!
AMELIA_SAD: I know but I thought I’d be spending the rest of the summer without you.
AMELIA_HAPPY: It just wouldn't have been the same.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Well, here I am.
AMELIA_SAD: I’ve been desperate to talk to you… about everything.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Well, here I am.
AMELIA_SAD: There is so much I need to say. I’ve felt terrible.
AMELIA_IDLE: I’m going to make things up to you, I promise.
GRACE_SURPRISED: Sorry to break up the reunion but can someone explain who this is!?
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Isn’t it obvious? Seemed like you girls were due an upgrade.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: So I’m here to pick up the grafting slack from my big brother.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: And show you girls the true meaning of a good time.
{0}_SURPRISED: It’s another twin!
GRACE_SURPRISED: You have got to be kidding me.
PLAYER_IDLE: It’s true.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: Woah, woah, woah.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: There’s only room for one shockingly attractive surprise twin in the villa!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Good thing you’re in Casa Amor now then.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: It’s great to finally meet the famous, Amelia.
AMELIA_HAPPY: It is?
Amelia’s face goes red with giddy delight.
GRACE_SAD: I can’t believe Ozzy never told me he had a twin.
GRACE_SAD: Maybe I really don’t know him at all…
PLAYER_IDLE: There must be a reason, Grace.
MARSHALL_HAPPY: Yeah, I wouldn’t take it personally.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Would you tell people if you had a twin that looked like this?
GRACE_SAD: I just don’t understand it.
GRACE_SAD: {0}, I’ve done a lot of soul searching this last day about Oz.
GRACE_SAD: About this connection with you and him... Whatever it is.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I’m obviously hurt by it still, but me and Ozzy talked it through.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I get that he was the one initiating things, not you.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: And you were just being honest about how you felt.
GRACE_IDLE: And me and Ozzy aren’t exclusive officially.
PLAYER_IDLE: What are you trying to say, Grace?
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I guess I don’t blame you for what happened pre Casa.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I appreciate that, Grace. Thank you.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: And I clearly need to work out what the deal really is with Ozzy.
GRACE_SAD: {0}, I’ve done a lot of soul searching this last day about Oz.
GRACE_SAD: About this connection with you that he feels.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I know you friendzoned him, and that means a lot to me.
GRACE_IDLE: Whether you did it for me or not.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: But I’m obviously still hurt by him.
PLAYER_IDLE: What are you trying to say, Grace?
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I guess I need to work out what the deal really is with Ozzy.
Suddenly, the other Casa boys arrive to greet the girls.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Helloooo, ladies! We’ve been expecting you!
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Finally the fun begins!
FRANCIS_HAPPY: Welcome to our humble abode!
ANDY_HAPPY: It’s so great to finally meet you all!
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Hey there, boys!
{0}_FLIRTY: Well isn’t this a sight for sore eyes.
{0} notices Grace, her head still spinning, and gives her a nudge.
{0}_HAPPY: Hey, Grace. Do yourself a favour and forget about Ozzy for now.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yeah, we’re in Casa Amor! It’s party time!
GRACE_FLIRTY: You’re right. I’m here for me! Hey, boys!
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Wow, you girls look even more stunning in real life.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Funny that…
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: It’s so strange. I feel like I know you all already.
{0}_FLIRTY: Well, we don’t know you… Why don’t we start with names?
ANDY_HAPPY: We should, but right now I seem to have forgotten it. You’re all so beautiful!
{0} looks to you with a cheeky smile, letting you know his mind is still very much on you.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Don’t worry, you don’t need to know anyone’s name but mine. I’m Hamish.
FRANCIS_HAPPY: I’m Francis!
ANDY_HAPPY: Oh yeah, I’m Andy.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Well remembered, Andy.
GRACE_IDLE: And what about you? You still haven’t told us your name.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Where are my manners? I’m Marshall.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: It’s a pleasure to meet you all.
As the boys introduce themselves, Amelia pulls you aside for a chat.
AMELIA_IDLE: As tasty as these new boys are looking, I think we need a chat.
AMELIA_IDLE: We all thought you were gone for good.
AMELIA_SERIOUS: We have to know what you’ve been up to all this time!
AMELIA_HAPPY: How did you end up here?!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Ok, well…
AMELIA_SERIOUS: Hold on! We need all the girls for this.
Amelia turns to the others.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Sorry, boys, us girls have some important business to attend to.
{0}_FLIRTY: Before we all get down to business?
AMELIA_HAPPY: Exactly, come on. We need to talk.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Ooph, what a tease! See you later, ladies!
{0}_HAPPY: Have a good catch-up, {1}. Find me later.
You huddle together with the other girls.
{0} is giddy with excitement.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Welcome to Casa Amor, girls.
GRACE_HAPPY: Aw, thanks {0}! We missed you so much!
{0}_HAPPY: We all missed you!
{0}_FLIRTY: Some more than others.
AMELIA_HAPPY: So glad to be reunited. We didn’t know what was going on!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s been a bit of a whirlwind. But we’re all here now.
{0}_HAPPY: Ahhh! We’re actually here! I can’t believe it!
GRACE_HAPPY: The biggest test is upon us.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Ah, it’s all fun and games! No holding back in Casa Amor, anything goes!
{0}_FLIRTY: Good thing too, those boys are looking pretty tasty!
GRACE_SAD: Guess that means the same for the villa boys though.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I wonder what they’re up to over there, with the new girls…
The girls think on this for a moment, the reality hitting home.
{0} snaps out of it.
{0}_HAPPY: What did I tell you about not thinking about Ozzy!
GRACE_IDLE: I know, I know. It’s just hard.
GRACE_SURPRISED: Especially with his twin in here!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Tell me about it.
GRACE_IDLE: How about you, {0}, have you been missing Elliot?
Your mind rushes back to what Francis told you about Grace trying to kiss Elliot.
Ask Grace for the truth
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Francis told me something interesting about you and Elliot.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Yeah, I was embarrassed to bring it up.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Go on.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Well, before he coupled up with you, I err...
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Tried to kiss him?
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Yeah, we were just chatting and he said something cute.
GRACE_IDLE: And before I knew it I found myself leaning in for a kiss.
{0}_SURPRISED: You kept that quiet, Grace!
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: I didn't want to admit getting pied by him.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: He gave me the cheek and basically friendzoned me.
GRACE_IDLE: He said he didn't want to ruin his chances with you, {0}.
GRACE_IDLE: At least you know his head was set on you back then.
GRACE_SAD: Sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but it didn't seem like a biggie.
You look over Grace as you take this all in.
GRACE_IDLE: So now you know this, are you missing Elliot?
Let it go
You let it go and answer her question about whether you're missing Elliot.
Yeah, 24/7
PLAYER_SAD: Only all of the time.
PLAYER_IDLE: Can’t wait to get back to him.
AMELIA_SAD: Must have been hard, with him thinking you’ve been dumped.
GRACE_SAD: Yeah, not knowing what will happen.
Who’s Elliot?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Sorry, who?
{0}_FLIRTY: Ha! Clearly not missing him that much then.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Casa Amor is about letting out your wild side.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: I’m here to have fun. So consider me in graft mode.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yes, {0}!
{0}_IDLE: Interesting…
Kind of
PLAYER_IDLE: Kind of?
PLAYER_IDLE: Everything was so wild just before I left.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: It’s hard to know how I’m feeling about him.
AMELIA_IDLE: That’s understandable.
I was missing someone else
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I’ve been missing someone else actually.
GRACE_IDLE: Oh really, who?
{0} looks at you knowingly.
{0}_FLIRTY: I wonder if we’re thinking of the same person?
AMELIA_HAPPY: It was me wasn’t it! Aw, I missed you too, {0}.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Uhuh, sure it was.
GRACE_SURPRISED: Wait! We don’t even know how you ended up here!
{0}_HAPPY: Yeah! Spill the tea, {1}.
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, turns out I didn’t come last in that public vote…
PLAYER_HAPPY: I came first.
AMELIA_HAPPY: I knew it! There was no way you were going to be last! Everyone loves you!
GRACE_IDLE: She’s right, no one would stop going on about you ever since you left.
{0}_HAPPY: So how come you’re in Casa?
PLAYER_HAPPY: That was my prize, I got the new boys all to myself for a day.
GRACE_SURPRISED: You jammy…
{0}_HAPPY: Babe! Argh you’re so lucky!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Can’t lie, I’m super jelly.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: If I’d had 24 hours with these boys I’d be like a kid in a sweet shop.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Well, you’re all here now.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Damn right! Let the fun begin, we have some catching up to do!
{0}_HAPPY: Yep, so for now I say let’s leave the past in the past and enjoy the <i>presents</i>!
PLAYER_HAPPY: You mean ‘present’?
{0}_FLIRTY: No, I mean the ‘presents’ standing over there!
AMELIA_HAPPY: It’s like Christmas!
GRACE_FLIRTY: I wonder what’s underneath when we unwrap them, rock hard abs?
AMELIA_FLIRTY: What if they have bushy armpits? If only Ivy was here!
{0}_HAPPY: Maybe {1} already knows? She’s had a whole day to get to know them.
GRACE_HAPPY: You’re right! Tell us what you know!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yeah, spill the tea! What do you know about Hamish, he seems pretty slick.
He’s donated his commission to charity
PLAYER_HAPPY: Hamish is an estate agent.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oohh, Mr Money Bags is he?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Well I know that when he sold his first ever house…
PLAYER_HAPPY: He donated the commission to charity!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Oh, that’s so cute!
GRACE_HAPPY: He sounds like a really generous person.
{0}_FLIRTY: Will he donate me a house?
He’s cheated on girlfriends
PLAYER_IDLE: Hamish is an estate agent of some kind.
AMELIA_IDLE: Of some kind?
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Well, he has a habit of exaggerating things, so who knows?
GRACE_SURPRISED: Yikes.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Apparently he cheated on his ex too.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: Big red flags!
{0}_SURPRISED: Exactly. If he lies about his job and cheats, what else does he lie about?
He tried to rent out his dad’s house
PLAYER_IDLE: Hamish is an Estate Agent.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oohh, Mr Money Bags is he?
PLAYER_IDLE: I guess, but I get mischievous vibes off him.
GRACE_IDLE: Why’s that?
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Well… He tried to rent out his Dad’s house while his Dad was away on business.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: What?!
PLAYER_IDLE: Apparently he wanted some extra pocket money.
{0}_HAPPY: I can’t tell if that’s cute or evil.
GRACE_HAPPY: I’m not sure if I wanna find out!
He’s a terrible kisser
PLAYER_IDLE: Hamish is an Estate Agent.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oohh, super successful is he?
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Not at kissing. He really needs to work on his technique.
AMELIA_IDLE: Maybe he just needs some more practice.
GRACE_FLIRTY: Sounds like someone’s been enjoying alone time in Casa!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Maybe a little.
{0}_HAPPY: What about Francis, I’m getting spiritual vibes off that guy.
GRACE_HAPPY: Yeah, he seems like a proper hippie type.
AMELIA_IDLE: I bet he’s very connected with his emotions.
{0}_IDLE: What’s his deal, {1}?
He still believes in Santa
PLAYER_IDLE: Francis is a bit of a nomad. He travels the world and stuff.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I like the sound of him already.
GRACE_HAPPY: He does look like he’s been around the world in 80 lays.
{0}_FLIRTY: I mean I would…
PLAYER_HAPPY: He seems like a very open minded guy, if you get what I mean?
PLAYER_HAPPY: In fact he’s so open minded that he still believes in Santa.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: Excuse me?
{0}_HAPPY: That’s so cute!
GRACE_IDLE: Cute? More like ick!
AMELIA_HAPPY: I dunno, it is kinda sweet the more I think about it.
He was stung by a jellyfish
PLAYER_IDLE: Francis is a bit of a nomad. He travels the world and stuff.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I like the sound of him already.
GRACE_HAPPY: He does look like he’s been around the world in 80 lays.
{0}_FLIRTY: I mean I would…
PLAYER_HAPPY: Sounds like his travel gets him into trouble sometimes though.
PLAYER_HAPPY: He once got stung by a jellyfish at the beach.
AMELIA_IDLE: Oh no, I see where this is going.
GRACE_IDLE: No…
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yeah, he had to get someone to pee on him.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Ewww! Nope!
AMELIA_SAD: Aw poor guy! It must have been really painful!
GRACE_SERIOUS: If a guy ever asks me to do that I’m running a mile, even in these heels.
{0}_HAPPY: How about Andy, he seems sweet.
GRACE_HAPPY: Yeah, I love his style. Great taste.
AMELIA_IDLE: Is he as huggable as he looks?
He freed his school rabbit
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, Andy is a vet.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Oh! I bet he’s super caring.
{0}_FLIRTY: And smart.
PLAYER_HAPPY: He loves animals obviously.
PLAYER_HAPPY: In fact at school he set the class rabbit free!
AMELIA_HAPPY: No way!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Yeah, he didn’t like seeing it in a cage and let it go into the wild.
{0}_FLIRTY: That is so adorable.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: He could make me go wild anytime.
He dated a girl who preferred his dog
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, Andy is a vet.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Oh! I bet he’s super caring.
{0}_FLIRTY: And smart.
PLAYER_HAPPY: He seems caring but maybe a bit gullible?
GRACE_IDLE: What do you mean?
PLAYER_HAPPY: He told us he was dating his last girlfriend for quite some time.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Until he realised the girl was only with him so she could hang out with his dog.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: He didn’t know the whole time?
GRACE_IDLE: Who commits to a relationship just for a dog?
{0}_HAPPY: Seems valid to me. Depends how nice a dog it is.
He did a naked calendar
PLAYER_IDLE: Well, Andy is a vet.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Oh! I bet he’s super caring.
{0}_FLIRTY: And smart.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: For sure, but he has a bit of a wild side to him too.
GRACE_FLIRTY: Tell me more.
PLAYER_HAPPY: So apparently he once did a naked calendar for charity.
GRACE_FLIRTY: Oh my days.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I have to see this.
{0}_FLIRTY: Right! I need that calendar.
{0}_HAPPY: I think I’d finally be able to keep track of which day of the week it is.
{0}_FLIRTY: Sounds like we have quite the selection on our hands, girls.
{0}_FLIRTY: Can’t wait to find out more.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Aren’t you forgetting someone? What’s the story with beardy Ozzy?
GRACE_IDLE: Yeah, {0}, what can you tell us about Marshall?
He used to be Ozzy’s wingman
PLAYER_IDLE: So, Marshall is a promoter for events.
PLAYER_IDLE: He works with all these celeb clients and stuff.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Mixing with the stars, huh? I could get used to that.
{0}_FLIRTY: Yes, please!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Apparently him and Ozzy used to wingman each other.
PLAYER_HAPPY: They once even swapped out on one of Ozzy’s dates so Marshall could impress her for him.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: Those dirty dogs!
{0}_FLIRTY: Very naughty.
GRACE_SERIOUS: Rude is what it is. Not impressed.
He double booked two dates at the same place
PLAYER_IDLE: So, Marshall is a promoter for events.
PLAYER_IDLE: He works with all these celeb clients and stuff.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Mixing with the stars, huh? I could get used to that.
{0}_FLIRTY: Yes, please!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Though from what he’s told us he doesn’t seem very organised for a promoter.
GRACE_IDLE: What do you mean?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Well apparently he once double booked two dates for the same time.
GRACE_SURPRISED: That is so awkward.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: It gets worse, they were in the same place as well.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: No way!
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Big turn off, I don’t want to risk being double booked by him.
Ozzy betrayed Marshall
PLAYER_IDLE: So, Marshall is a promoter for events.
PLAYER_IDLE: He works with all these celeb clients and stuff.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Mixing with the stars, huh? I could get used to that.
{0}_FLIRTY: Yes, please!
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: But I don’t think him and Ozzy are on good terms.
GRACE_SURPRISED: What? Why not?
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Well apparently Marshall took Ozzy on as a client to promote him.
PLAYER_HAPPY: And Marshall helped him kickstart his dancing career.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: But then Ozzy ditched him for another rival promoter.
PLAYER_IDLE: Fired him by text and everything.
GRACE_ANGRY: No… Ozzy wouldn’t do that.
PLAYER_SAD: That’s what Marshall said.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: That’s pretty low.
GRACE_SAD: I can’t believe that.
AMELIA_IDLE: We don’t know the full story, Grace. Don’t let it get you down.
GRACE_SAD: I guess so…
AMELIA_HAPPY: So, who's your favourite boy then?
PLAYER_HAPPY: Mine?
GRACE_HAPPY: Yeah, you must have one by now. Anyone taken your fancy?
Tell the girls your favourite
PLAYER_HAPPY: Well, one of them may have caught my eye.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Tell us!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: {0} might be a head turner.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Ooh, look out Elliot!
GRACE_HAPPY: You and Andy would make a cute couple to be fair.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yeah, I could see you surrounded by puppies and kittens everyday.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Sounds like a dream!
GRACE_IDLE: You mean the guy who looks identical to Ozzy?
AMELIA_IDLE: But he isn’t Ozzy is he. He’s his own person.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: There is definitely something about him.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Hmmm.
{0}_HAPPY: Look at it this way, Grace, if any of us end up with Marshall…
{0}_HAPPY: We could be sister-in-laws!
GRACE_HAPPY: I like the sound of that!
GRACE_HAPPY: You and Francis would make a cute couple to be fair.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yeah I could see you two floating around together on some tropical island.
GRACE_HAPPY: Living the dream.
Keep it a secret
PLAYER_IDLE: Sorry, girls, my lips are sealed.
AMELIA_SURPRISED: Oh come on, you have to tell us!
GRACE_SURPRISED: Yeah, not cool!
{0}_FLIRTY: Leave her be! I like a bit of mystery.
Say you don’t have one
PLAYER_IDLE: To be honest, I don’t really have one.
{0} hides a relieved smile.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oh… what a shame.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Oh come one, there must be one that’s caught your eye.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Nope.
{0}_HAPPY: Favourites are one thing, but if you ask me these boys are fair game.
GRACE_HAPPY: You’re right, enough chit chat. Time to get stuck in. Coming, girls?
AMELIA_SERIOUS: You girls go ahead.
AMELIA_SERIOUS: I have some things I need to say to {0} before the grafting begins.
{0}_HAPPY: Alright, but remember, ya snooze ya lose!
GRACE_HAPPY: See you later!
AMELIA_SERIOUS: Let’s head to the kitchen, it’ll be more private there.
PLAYER_IDLE: So, what did you need to tell me?
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: Look, I’m not great at getting deep but I’m gonna try.
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: I really meant it earlier when I said how happy I was to see you.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Getting to reconnect with you here in the villa has meant so much to me.
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: I never realised how much I’d missed you until we were reunited.
AMELIA_SAD: And then when we thought you’d been dumped…
AMELIA_SAD: And with everything that happened just before.
AMELIA_SAD: It reminded me of back in school when you got moved to a different class.
AMELIA_SAD: And even though I was still surrounded by friends, I felt lonely.
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: I knew that I never wanted to lose that connection again.
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: I know that you said that you could forgive me.
AMELIA_SAD: I know you weren’t ready to forgive me before.
AMELIA_IDLE: But I want you to know that I’m going to be a better sister to you.
AMELIA_HAPPY: And I’m going to prove it.
PLAYER_IDLE: Ok.
AMELIA_IDLE: I was hoping Casa Amor could be a fresh start for us?
AMELIA_SAD: Leave the past in the past and get back to how we used to be.
AMELIA_SAD: What do you say?
Let’s have a fresh start
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s ok, Amelia. Let’s just start fresh.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Really?! Oh I’m so glad to hear you say that, {0}.
PLAYER_HAPPY: No point holding onto the past. We’re family and that’s what matters.
AMELIA_HAPPY: And…
I’m not ready yet
PLAYER_IDLE: Honestly, Amelia. I’m not ready yet.
AMELIA_SAD: Oh, ok. I understand.
AMELIA_SAD: Well…
A ping from your phone cuts Amelia off mid sentence.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: I’ve got a text!
The others rush in, eager to see what it says.
HAMISH_HAPPY: It’s about time! Was starting to get bored!
{0}_HAPPY: What does it say?
LITEXT: Islanders, it’s time to really get to know each other in a game of Sexy Charades! {0}MimeAllMime {1}LoveLanguage
HAMISH_HAPPY: Now we’re talking!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: This sounds like fun.
{0} looks over at you.
{0}_FLIRTY: Let’s do it.
{0}_HAPPY: Come on, girls, we better go get ready! We need to be looking fire!
{0}_FLIRTY: Looks like things are about to heat up, girls.
{0}_HAPPY: And we have some catching up to do!
{0}_FLIRTY: {1}’s already made an impression on these boys. I can tell.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I’m sure I can get some heads turning.
PLAYER_IDLE: Hold on, where’s Grace?
AMELIA_IDLE: I thought she was behind us, she must have slipped away?
{0}_HAPPY: Probably fawning over Marshall no doubt.
AMELIA_HAPPY: You really think so? Ozzy’s brother!
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I mean he is a snack but I don’t think she’d go there.
{0}_HAPPY: You’ve seen the effect Ozzy has on her, why wouldn’t Marshall be the same?
AMELIA_HAPPY: Do you think Grace will graft Marshall, {0}?
She’s already grafting him
PLAYER_HAPPY: It looks like she is already.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I could see her slipping on her grafting boots as soon as she laid eyes on him.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: This could get messy.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Who says he’ll graft back?
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I’m sure she won’t mind some friendly competition.
No chance
PLAYER_SERIOUS: No way! She wouldn’t go there.
PLAYER_HAPPY: Anyway she’s too loved up with Ozzy.
PLAYER_IDLE: She wouldn’t do that to him.
{0}_HAPPY: She may not mean to. But the heart wants what it wants.
Time will tell
PLAYER_HAPPY: I guess time will tell.
{0}_HAPPY: Things are about to get a bit messy if you ask me.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Well, I’m sure Grace won’t mind some friendly competition.
Not if I get there first
PLAYER_HAPPY: Not if I have anything to do with it.
PLAYER_HAPPY: She’s with Ozzy anyway.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: It’s my turn to have some fun.
{0}_SURPRISED: Sounds like you’re really going for it in here then…
{0}_SERIOUS: Good to know.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Well I hope you don’t mind some friendly competition, {0}.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: I think Marshall took a liking to me…
{0}_FLIRTY: If Grace is getting her graft on then we better up our game.
{0}_FLIRTY: What are you gonna wear for Sexy Charades, {1}?
PLAYER_FLIRTY: This is perfect!
PLAYER_IDLE: I think I’ll just go with this.
AMELIA_IDLE: You sure? It’s not just you here now.
{0}_HAPPY: Yeah, gotta stand out from the crowd.
Ok, let me take another look.
PLAYER_FLIRTY: This is perfect!
AMELIA_FLIRTY: You look AMAZING.
{0}_FLIRTY: You’re not making it easy for us {1}!
{0}_FLIRTY: Although you’re certainly easy on the eye with that look.
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I’m going to go with what I know.
AMELIA_IDLE: Suit yourself.
I’m fine with this
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I’m going to go with what I know.
AMELIA_IDLE: Suit yourself.
{0}_FLIRTY: These boys aren’t gonna know what hit ‘em.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: And those boys back in the villa don’t know what they’re missing.
{0}_FLIRTY: Can’t wait to see their jaws hit the floor.
AMELIA_HAPPY: Shall we make our grand entrance?
{0}_HAPPY: You go ahead, Amelia, I need to pull {1} for a quick chat.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Don’t be too long…
AMELIA_HAPPY: Or I’ll have them all eating out of the palm of my hand before you even arrive.
PLAYER_IDLE: What did you want to talk about?
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Actually I wanted to talk to you about Elliot.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: Oh? What about him?
{0}_IDLE: Earlier on you said you were missing him.
{0}_IDLE: Earlier you said you hadn’t been missing him.
{0}_IDLE: Earlier you said you had kind of been missing him.
{0}_IDLE: Earlier you said you had been missing someone else…
{0}_FLIRTY: The truth is, I really missed you.
{0}_SAD: I didn’t really know what to do with myself once you were gone.
{0}_FLIRTY: And I was kinda wondering if you missed me?
I couldn’t stop thinking about you
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Yes! Only all of the time!
{0}_HAPPY: OMG, really?!
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Oops, got a bit too excited there, play it cool, {1}.
{0}_HAPPY: I’m glad you hadn’t forgotten about us, {1}.
Not really
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: To be honest I hadn’t really.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: It’s been such a whirlwind here.
PLAYER_IDLE: And with everything going on with the boys back in the villa.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: That’s ok, I understand.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: I just wanted you to know where my head was at.
My head’s been spinning
PLAYER_IDLE: To be honest my head has been spinning ever since I got here.
PLAYER_IDLE: First I was dumped, then I was in Casa with these new boys.
PLAYER_EMBARRASSED: I haven’t had a moment to think.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: That’s ok, I understand.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: I just wanted you to know where my head was at.
{0}_HAPPY: I didn’t want to put any pressure on you.
{0}_HAPPY: Casa Amor is all about having fun and exploring connections.
{0}_IDLE: The boys will be doing that, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be too.
PLAYER_IDLE: I guess?
{0}_FLIRTY: I would never want to hold you back from getting to know people.
{0}_HAPPY: I just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.
{0}_HAPPY: And if by the end of Casa you think I’m the one for you. I’ll still be here.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: I know soon we will have to decide whether to stick or twist.
{0}_SAD: And if we make the wrong decision and our partners twist.
{0}_SAD: We could be dumped… for real this time.
{0}_SAD: Whatever you decide about us, I don’t want to lose you again, {1}.
{0}_IDLE: I don’t know if you’ve figured out what you want to do with Elliot…
{0}_EMBARRASSED: But there is something you should know.
PLAYER_IDLE: What is it?
{0}_IDLE: When you were <i>dumped</i>, we all thought we wouldn’t see you in the villa again.
{0}_SAD: It hit everyone really hard, more than anyone who's left before.
PLAYER_IDLE: That’s nice, I guess?
{0}_HAPPY: You were such a big part of the villa!
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Anyway, that night I overheard the boys all talking around the Firepit.
PLAYER_IDLE: What were they saying?
{0}_SAD: Well, Elliot was upset of course. As was {1}.
{0}_IDLE: Ozzy was being super supportive, but I could tell he was hurting too.
{0}_IDLE: Then someone asked what Elliot was going to do.
PLAYER_IDLE: And?
{0}_IDLE: He said he didn’t know.
{0}_IDLE: But he came to the villa to find the one and explore new things.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: And he didn’t want to give that up just yet.
PLAYER_SURPRISED: So, you think he is still open to getting to know new people?
{0}_SAD: It sounded that way. And for all we know he still thinks you’ve been dumped.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: And now there are a load of new girls in the villa.
{0}_IDLE: I’m sorry to have to tell you that.
{0}_IDLE: I know you weren’t really missing him anyway.
{0}_IDLE: I know you were only kinda missing him.
{0}_IDLE: I know you were missing someone else anyway…
{0}_IDLE: But I thought you should know, in case twisting was the safer option.
{0}_SAD: We both need to get back to the villa.
{0}_FLIRTY: Especially if you decide I’m the person you want to be there with.
{0} smiles at you caringly.
Suddenly you hear heels approaching.
GRACE_HAPPY: Hey! Sorry I got caught up!
PLAYER_IDLE: Where have you been?
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Oh, it’s a long story.
GRACE_HAPPY: I’ll explain later, I need to get ready for the challenge!
{0}_HAPPY: Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the challenge.
{0}_IDLE: Come on, {1}. We better get down there.
{0}_HAPPY: Let’s see what these boys are made of.
{0}_FLIRTY: Who knows, we may have to bring one of them home with us.
You and {0} head out to the Firepit with Grace trailing behind.
{0}_FLIRTY: Hey, boys…
HAMISH_IDLE: Took your time! We were about to send out a search party.
{0}_FLIRTY: Well, you gotta be patient, you can’t rush perfection.
ANDY_FLIRTY: Perfection is right… {0}, you look out of this world.
ANDY_FLIRTY: I’ll have to up my game if I want to be in your league.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: You can say that again…
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Perfection is right… {0} is in another league.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Good thing I am too, looks like I may have met my match.
ANDY_IDLE: How humble of you.
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: Perfection is right… {0}, you’re a vision.
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: They say all beings are made equal but you make me doubt that.
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: Nothing compares.
MARSHALL_HAPPY: Yeah, what he said.
AMELIA_HAPPY: I guess we should get this party started!
You hear a ping.
PLAYER_HAPPY: I’ve got a text!
LITEXT: Islanders, it’s Sexy Charades time!
HAMISH_HAPPY: Here we gooo!

{0}_HAPPY: Go, Grace, go!
Grace grabs a card and rushes over to the boys eyeing them all up unable to choose.
Then she grabs Hamish’s hand and leads him out in front of the others.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: Obvious choice…
The two of them lay down with Grace snuggled close behind Hamish.
Spooning!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It has to be spooning!
GRACE_HAPPY: Yes! {0}!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: That was quick…

HAMISH_HAPPY: Yes!
Grace pulls out the second card and heads straight for Andy.
GRACE_FLIRTY: Come here you…
ANDY_EMBARRASSED: Oh, ok, I’m not sure I’ll be any good.
Grace sits Andy upright on the floor and straddles him backwards. Gyrating her hips on his lap.
Andy looks over at you, bashful and embarrassed.
Andy looks bashful, but starts to get into it.
Cowgirl!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Is it cowgirl?
Grace shakes her head.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: It’s a lapdance.
HAMISH_FLIRTY: You go to Magaluf enough you know a lapdance when you see one.

GRACE_SERIOUS: Does it look like humping?
HAMISH_FLIRTY: It’s a lapdance…
HAMISH_FLIRTY: You go to Magaluf enough you know a lapdance when you see one.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Gross!
Stepping on toes!
PLAYER_SERIOUS: Looks like you’re stepping on toes to me.
Grace looks over to you and stops gyrating.
GRACE_EMBARRASSED: Oh right…
HAMISH_FLIRTY: It was a lapdance…
HAMISH_FLIRTY: You go to Magaluf enough you know a lapdance when you see one.
{0}_EMBARRASSED: Gross.
Another text pings!
AMELIA_HAPPY: It’s me!
Amelia leaps up and grabs a card. She reads it and darts straight over to Marshall!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Come on, Marshall!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Yes, maam!
Amelia pulls Marshall out of his seat and plants her lips on his!
A peck!
PLAYER_HAPPY: It’s a peck!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Close!
GRACE_FLIRTY: A kiss!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yes!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: And what a kiss! Roll right up, ladies.
Mouth to mouth!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Mouth to mouth?
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: What? He’s still breathing.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Well that certainly took my breath away.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: Awww.
GRACE_HAPPY: It’s a kiss!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yes!
A kiss!
PLAYER_IDLE: A kiss!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yes!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Look at that, our first kiss.
AMELIA_FLIRTY: <i>First</i> kiss, huh?
Snakey behaviour!
PLAYER_SERIOUS: I call that snakey behaviour!
AMELIA_SURPRISED: It’s just a game, {0}.
GRACE_HAPPY: It’s a kiss!
AMELIA_HAPPY: Yes!
Next up, Amelia picked Andy who tried to put a cone around her head… until he realised this was a different kind of Doggy.
{0} and Hamish are up next, let's hope he doesn’t try to show us his Detached Semi!
{0} excitedly whispers the card to Hamish. He rolls his eyes.
They both stand up and start wiggling their bums in your direction!
HAMISH_SERIOUS: I feel ridiculous.
{0}_HAPPY: What are you guessing, {1}?
Dancing!
PLAYER_IDLE: Dancing?
{0}_FLIRTY: Kinda!
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: What are we playing? Sorry I was lost in a trance.
AMELIA_HAPPY: They are twerking, obvs!
HAMISH_HAPPY: Yes!
Twerking!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: You’re twerking!
HAMISH_HAPPY: Yes!
They both stop.
FRANCIS_HAPPY: I could have watched that all day.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: I know what you mean.
Booty call!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Booty call!
{0}_HAPPY: What kind of booty calling are you doing?
FRANCIS_HAPPY: Whatever it is, it's working!
AMELIA_HAPPY: It’s twerking, guys!
HAMISH_IDLE: Way off, {0}!
{0} rushes over to Francis and drags him away.
{0}_HAPPY: Francis, let’s go!
FRANCIS_HAPPY: My time to shine!
Francis pretends to flick a switch on {0}.
AMELIA_EMBARRASSED: Switch?
ANDY_EMBARRASSED: Poke?
{0}_FLIRTY: Oh, come here.
{0} pulls Francis close and plants kisses on his neck!
Necking!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Necking!
{0}_HAPPY: No!
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: I mean, she’s not wrong.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Turn me on!
{0}_HAPPY: Correct!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Oh… I was just asking.
Turn me on!
PLAYER_FLIRTY: Turn me on!
{0}_FLIRTY: Gladly.
{0}_FLIRTY: Oi, cheeky! But that is the right answer!
Love bite!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Love bite!
{0}_HAPPY: No!
FRANCIS_FLIRTY: I mean, she’s not wrong.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Turn me on!
{0}_HAPPY: Correct!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Oh… I was just asking.
Gross!
PLAYER_SERIOUS: It’s gross!
{0}_SAD: Harsh!
PLAYER_HAPPY: Just calling it as I see it.
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Turn me on!
{0}_HAPPY: Correct!
MARSHALL_FLIRTY: Oh… I was just asking.

-
December 29th, 1985.
It was a cold winters evening in Hawkins and even the old trailers within the trailer park were adjusting to the seasonal changes. Ice glossed over the poorly made roofs of the refuse little shacks that people called home.
"Hey! Y/N? Are you even listening to me?"
Y/N sat comfortably on her best friend's couch, skimming through the box of cassette tapes that he had forged from his not-so-tidy bedroom, her face full of curiosity as she picked up a tape, one by one, being careful not to cause any noticeable damage to them. She had a bad habit of accidentally breaking some of his more delicate possessions.
"Sorry! Sorry, what were you saying Eds?" She places the tape she so carefully held in her hand to her side, gazing over her shoulder to her best friend who had a slight sulk on his face, disappointed she hadn't been listening to him for the past five or so minutes.
"Well, if you were actually paying any attention, you would've known that I was asking if you wanted to join me tomorrow for the Hellfire meeting?" He asked, before turning to the saucepan of what looked to be a store-bought mac and cheese. Since school had finished for the holidays Eddie had decided to keep the Hellfire meetings going to give the boys something to preoccupy themselves with, and to feed his own personal D&D desires as well.
"Yes! Yes, I'm sorry Eddie, I was too engrossed in your, need I say, excellent, taste in music." She smirked at him before turning back to place the tapes back in their dusty cavern. Eddie's sulk quickly twisted into a grin as he carefully poured the pan of mac and cheese into two bowls he had grabbed from the fragile shelves above him.
"Hm, well, since you know how much flattery works on me," he began, picking up the two bowls and making his way over to her, "then I guess you're forgiven, sweetheart." He finishes, placing the bowls down on the table in front of the couch. Y/N let out a laugh as she watched Eddie toss himself onto the couch beside her, the grin on his face becoming wider by the minute. He was always so easy to please, she thought, before turning to him once again.
"I stopped by the video store earlier today on my way home from work. Robin helped me pick out a few of her horror favourites, Steve tried his best to help." She giggled, before delving into the bag neatly placed on the table.
"So, what are we thinking... Fright Night? Or maybe The Howling?" She began, still flicking through the films in the bag. "Or! Nightmare on Elm Street? Your favourite and such a classic." She finished, bringing the movie up to her face and waving it about with a toothy grin. Eddie laughed at his friend's enthusiasm before politely grabbing the bag and giving the movies one last look through. He hummed as his fingers delicately slid past each one.
"What are you in the mood for, sweetheart?" He paused to look up at his sweet friend as her smile instantly faded.
“Me?” She questions, slightly taken back by his reply. Stop. Stop stop stop, he’s going to notice, she thought before trying to regain her previous composure. Why did he have to have such gentle, puppy-like eyes? She fought back the thoughts consuming her mind before he let out a light chuckle.
“Yes, you, you dork. What do you fancy watching tonight? I always pick. It’s your turn.” He asked again, oblivious to the blush that was almost swallowing his friend’s face.
“W-Well… You know me, I’ve always been more of a Fright Night kind of girl myself.” She gave him a small smile, quickly taking the movie out of the bag in her lap.
“Then Fright Night it is, sweetheart.”
That damn pet name, she thought.
He tossed her a smirk before grabbing the film from her shaken grip. She let out a quiet sigh of relief in her head as she watched him stumble his way to the VHS player.
You’re such an idiot, Y/N.
“And I’m such an idiot Robin! Blushing like a cat in heat all because he asked me to pick the movie? I don’t know how much longer I can go on for.”
Y/N sighed, rolling over on her bed, anxiously fiddling with the phone cord as she waited for her friend on the other line to respond, previous flashbacks of the night before clouding her once perfect vision.
“You said he didn’t notice anything right? You’re overthinking it, Y/N.” Robin replied, her voice echoing through the phone that was now tightly in Y/N’s grip.
“Oh no, it gets so much worse. After he gave me a ride home he went in for a hug, completely normal right? We always do that. But I- I decided to dodge the hug, for some reason unbeknownst to me clearly, and go in for an awkward fist bump instead. You should’ve seen his face Robin!” She says, burying her own face into the pillows beside her, trying desperately to wipe away the persistent memories of last night’s ordeal. It goes silent for only a moment before faint laughter belts through the phone. “Robin!” She groans, burying her face further to hide away from the growing embarrassment tormenting her insides, “I can’t believe you’re laughing right now!”
“I-I’m sorry Y/N! It’s just a little funny… I mean, you guys have been best friends since what? Middle school? Why don’t you just tell him how you really feel?” She finally replies. Classic Robin, combating idiocy with the cold, hard truth. Robin was used to dealing with Steve Harrington on a day-to-day basis, so giving good advice came naturally to her, much to Y/N’s distaste.
“You know I can’t do that.” She said, her tone shifting from silly to serious for a brief moment. She knew deep down that Robin was right, but to jeopardise a friendship of seven years over a silly little crush that began in seventh grade, the thought made her feel sick to her stomach.
“I know what you’re thinking Y/N… How could I possibly jeopardise a friendship of seven years over a silly little crush.” Robin replied, mimicking Y/N’s voice to an absolute perfection. Did she forget to mention that Robin was also a mind reader? And a smart-ass.
“But I’ve seen you two when you visit the store, laughing and bickering like an old married couple. You guys are sickening, in a cutesy couple way, you wouldn’t even have to try! Nothing would change-”
“Everything would change Robin!” Y/N blurts out unexpectedly, which causes Robin to sit up from her bed, a little taken back from her friends’ unusual outburst.
“I just don’t understand what you’re so afraid of.” Robin finally says, easing the tension between the two.
Everything, Y/N thought to herself, before sighing. She knew deep down the real reason why she would never tell Eddie the truth, and she knew that Robin did as well.
“I just can’t.” Y/N says, and she hears Robin shift around in her bed. Robin knew that at this point it would be like beating a dead horse, so she decided to drop the conversation.
“Okay well, you know I’m always here for you.” She smiles, wide enough so that her friend could feel it through the other end of the phone.
“I know Robin.” Y/N smiles back, feeling slightly more at ease.
The phone call ends after both friend’s says their goodnights. Y/N stares up at her bedroom ceiling, re-living the conversation between herself and Robin for a few moments more. I just don’t understand what you’re so afraid of. Robin’s words linger before she lets out a heavy sigh, turning to her lamp to turn it off. School starts in just two days, she thinks to herself, you’ve survived this long without him knowing, just keep doing what you’re doing.
What could possibly go wrong?

AUDERE EST FACERE !
둘. balenciaga : part one — 3.6k words
Getting used to the new way of things definitely wasn't as easy as she thought it would be. There was no guidebook available to advise her on how to live in a fictional, but very, very real world where the people she knew were reduced to mere caricatures of what they once had been.
She wasn't even kidding. If she thought she had already seen the worst of it when her mother had yelled at her brother, oh boy was she mistaken.
As she had come to find out, no matter if she was in the right or wrong, Ahyeong was no exception when it came to being at the other end of her mother's disappointment.
It became apparent when Hwayoung had arrived at the ER to collect her daughter following a phone call from the receptionist alerting her of Ahyeong's injury.
Drowsy from painkillers and weighed down by the heavy cast on her ankle, Ahyeong gripped the crutch at her side as she walked to her mother's car in the parking lot. The bruising on her foot had looked awful at first, but upon further checking and x-ray scans, her bone was only fractured and the discolouration was the result of the harsh impact on concrete.
Her mother had been eerily quiet ever since she had picked her up at the gate, but as Driver Oh — her parents' designated chauffeur — embarked on the way to their home, Mother finally broke the silence.
Ahyeong didn't know what she was expecting. No, wait, she knew exactly what she expected to hear: the same words her mother had told her when she had scraped her knees on asphalt when she had been a little girl trying to learn how to ride a bike for the first time, asking if she was feeling okay, or if it hurt too much.
Instead, what she got from her mother was: "I wasn't expecting this from you."
Despite the internal heaters of the car that provided respite against the chill of the night, the air around them felt impossibly cold.
"How could you be so careless? Getting injured right before school? If this is your way of rebelling against me, let me tell you, young lady, it will not work," she scoffed.
"Perhaps I've been too ignorant in letting you out of the house so freely. From now on, you're to ask for my permission every time you decide to leave the house. Understand?"
She didn't even wait for her daughter's response and continued on, jaw set in annoyance as she almost spat her next words, "And also, next time you decide to afflict yourself on your escapades, call the housekeeper to get you instead. I had to leave a conference with foreign investors just to pick you up. Honestly, you call yourself my daughter. I wonder what I did wrong in raising you that you ended up like this."
Ahyeong looked on, processing the poisonous words that pricked her skin, and accepted one of the many cruel realities of her situation.
Song Hwayoung, a businesswoman with expectations that were higher than the tallest mountains and a personality as explosive as active volcanoes.
That was the woman sitting across from her at that moment, not her mother.
Her sigh was barely heard over the static hum of the engine and passing vehicles. This was definitely going to take a while.
If she thought that she would be cut slack with a fractured ankle and be left alone to wallow in her thoughts, she was terribly wrong.
New world meant new info, things that didn't exist before but existed here in this world. Thank whatever entity existed in the cosmos that the Internet was created, because Ahyeong didn't think she would've known half the things she did now if she hadn't seen the news feed on all her SNS accounts — which thankfully were the same — feeding her with all she missed out on.
First order of business was finding more information about whatever may be relevant to the story she was dropped in. For better or for worse, Ahyeong instinctively knew that she was going to be a big part of whatever charade she was thrown into, and if she went into this blind as a bat, she was bound to crash and burn. Even if she could find a way to get out of here, and it really was a dream (her ankle vehemently protested against that fact), she was not counting on false hopes and delusion. So in order of relevancy, it was.
One person that jumped in her SNS feed far more times than she could ignore was Jung Seyeon. She knew the gist of it; a friend of Suho and Seojun, debuted idol with a soulful voice and wonderful personality, ruined by falsities and someone's needless hate.
Upon laborious scrolling and exploration of trending tags, she gathered that it had been his birthday yesterday, the first after his untimely death the previous year, which also explained the memorial she had seen the other day while on the verge of falling.
What disturbed her was that she had stood in the same place as Seyeon, same building, same roof. It put Suho's reaction into perspective when he had found her, and further mounted her guilt in bringing up bad memories.
Digging up things she needed to know about the story — which was more inclined towards the drama than the webtoon; she had just started watching the show when she'd been swept away so her foreknowledge didn't really count for much — also meant that eventually, she would end up finding out something or the other about herself too. Which she did. She found out a lot of things, on the Internet and also in real life from people she was rather horrified to be associated with.
"Young Miss, you have guests. Shall I send them up?"
Eunjung knocked on her door to get her attention, relaying her message, and waited for her response with all the patience of a saint. She was a godsend and the Song heir couldn't be more grateful for her being present in the family.
Meanwhile, Ahyeong frowned, a confused look passing her features for a second.
Guests?
People coming over to the Song Mansion was not unheard of, but it was rare, and they were all either her parents' acquaintances or some of her brother's classmates. Ahyeong wasn't big on inviting people to her house or making friends beyond the usual superficial ones. She had a few who she loved having around, but never at her house.
Maybe they heard of her injury and came over to check? Dohwa hadn't texted her in a long while — was his number still in her phone? — so he probably visited?
Ahyeong lit up in excitement and sat up in her desk chair — her ankle had gotten considerably better and the cast would be off in a few days — and nodded at Eunjung, who almost chuckled at her eagerness and went downstairs to lead the guests up to her room.
She needed some semblance of familiarity from before and Dohwa was perfect for it. He even was Ahyeong's partner-in-crime when they read the True Beauty webtoon together in the rare days off that they had in the library, so maybe, just maybe, Dohwa would remember.
They didn't know each other too well, only bonding over trash romance manhwas that he dug up from the deepest corners of Seulli High — her former school; she had transferred to Saebom now, albeit unwillingly — but she liked to think he really did care about her.
Footsteps echoed up on polished stairs, advancing towards her bedroom located at the end of the west wing, and Ahyeong was almost vibrating with nerves at the implications of her train of thought.
She might not be the only one who was self-aware — that's what she had come to call this phenomenon — and quite frankly, she was counting on the fact that she didn't have to suffer through this alone.
Misery loves company and all that.
Well, turns out, the misery part of that statement was going to be more prominent when her guests stepped in through the door and Song Ahyeong recognized a gaggle of faces that definitely did not belong to Dohwa.
"Oh my goodness, Ahyeong-ah! Long time no see! I heard you were back so I came to see you! It's been so lonely without you, years go by so fast. How was New York?"
"Did you get souvenirs?"
"Did you really meet that hotshot makeup artist Selly? I saw your post on SNS. Waah, you're really living the life."
Fragile hope that had bloomed in her chest shattered into a million pieces, being flooded by a wave of horrified realization at the presence of the group of girls in her room.
She had been trying to deny it, pretending that she hadn't seen and read what she had, that the description was just that way because of a trick of light, that her eyes hadn't been working, her mind had been frenzied in panic.
Song Ahyeong, The Bully.
As Park Semi and her gang of tormentors stood in front of her with lips painted crimson and sharp teeth gleaming with an unnatural whiteness, Ahyeong realized just what type of crowd she was supposed to be a part of here.
The smile was ever-present on her face, cheeks aching from keeping it up for so long. Having moved their long-awaited meeting to the parlour on the first floor (damn that girl was rich), Semi's hands moved in elaborate gestures to demonstrate her encounters with their favourite victim- er, classmate, Im Jugyeong.
After three long years, Ahyeong was back. The queen b, the it-girl, the ideal student, her "best friend": Song fucking Ahyeong.
Honestly, Semi almost forgot the girl existed. Seeing the Song Heir trending on SNS for having landed back in Seoul was a shock for the girl who had been trying to establish herself as the person-in-charge after Ahyeong had left.
Semi had been trying so damn hard to build her reputation from scratch and was finally at the point where everyone in the surrounding neighbourhoods knew her as "Park Semi" instead of "one of Song Ahyeong's lackeys". But of course, the bitch just had to come back and ruin all her hard work.
She had to restrain herself from turning her smile into an ugly scowl.
She wouldn't do it, though. More like she couldn't, couldn't afford to burn the bridge that she had so painstakingly formed in middle school to rise from the rear end of the social ladder, going from an invisible nobody to a person who turned heads wherever she walked.
And when the opportunity presented itself, she seized Ahyeong's reputation in her absence and made it her own.
How could she keep it up now? How could she manage to compare to her when people kissed the very ground Ahyeong walked on?
Her smile wavered, fingers clenching around the handle of the teacup as she looked at the girl sitting in front of her on a chair that looked akin to a throne, calmly listening to one of the others talk about a particularly funny prank on the class pig with an amicable smile on her face.
The years had done her well, she grumbled in her mind. Ahyeong had gotten noticeably taller. Her occasional ventures into the modelling industry were justified. She'd seen those editorials in high-end fashion magazines. Semi wouldn't be surprised if her height counted in the 170's. It was a far cry from her own small stature.
Moreover, her aristocratic features were sharper and finely regal, lips perfectly plump and full of colour, the natural flush on cheeks that complimented her skin, her elegant posture and long dainty fingers that curled around the teacup, nails impeccably manicured, long legs crossed at her ankles.
For shit's sake, Ahyeong had no flaws. She was the epitome of perfection, anywhere she went, she belonged.
Semi scoffed in her mind, cogs already turning in her mind and forging the beginnings of a plan.
Enjoy the time you've got now, bitch. I'm going to make sure you run back to whatever hole you came from.
Calm. She looked calm. At first glance, that is. People didn't usually try to look deeper into appearances and took everything at face value.
Never had Ahyeong been so grateful for the ignorant nature of human beings.
Her hands looked normal. No, they were shaking with tremors as she tried to control them by clenching them around her cup until her knuckles turned white.
Her face looked passive. Her eyes were dry from not blinking for so long in fear that one of them would do something unsavoury the moment her eyes closed.
She looked fine. No, because she knew for a fact that she was staving off a panic attack.
Bullies. Fucking bullies, tormentors, tyrants, thugs, why the fuck were they in her house and talking to her like she belonged with them?
Her chest was constricting in odd ways, throat clogging up painfully.
When was the last time she breathed?
Was the parlour always this small?
Their mouths were moving, oh, they were talking.
Were there windows in the room? She really wanted to jump off one right now, anything to get away from this mess.
The door slammed open, cutting off the conversation — was it a conversation she was supposed to be a part of? Couldn't remember, she wasn't really talking, too busy trying to get oxygen in her lungs — and snapping the guests' attention to it.
Relieved from the unwavering attention of such unpleasant companions — although they were behaving well and were friendly, too friendly — Ahyeong breathed, taking in as much of the stuffy air as she could before slowly letting it out.
One... two... three...
When she reached ten on her count and everything shifted back into focus, she turned to the person who'd interrupted them and at the same time saved her.
(She hoped to any higher being up there that her guests hadn't witnessed her like that. She'd rather not give them anything to use against her, even if they hadn't shown any hostile intentions.)
Gilyeong stood by the unlit fireplace with a sneer that would've made Severus Snape proud.
"Look what the cat dragged in."
Semi huffed, setting her cup down, and put her nose in the air, flipping her hair back, "A princess, of course."
"I was thinking of something along the lines of a toy rat made of plastic."
Did he just accuse Semi of having her face done?
Bless her brother, she was going to shower him with flowers and gifts for this, because Ahyeong was forever going to treasure the memory of the mortified look on Semi's face.
She barely kept herself from snorting out loud, while Semi's friends held no such reservations, or maybe failed to control themselves, and dissolved into a fit of giggles and hysteria.
"You little-" Semi shook in anger as she rose from her chair, pupils blown wide with rage, "how dare you, you piece of-"
"Careful, Semi."
Said girl froze in her attempt to slap Gilyeong, and all laughter ceased at the sound of Ahyeong's bone-chilling voice that rang loud and clear in the room.
(She was vaguely aware that it was the first words she'd said the entire evening aside from the meekly spoken pleasantries and affirmations.)
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," she warned, eyes narrowed as she pinned a cold glare at the offending hand that was a couple inches away from her brother's face.
As much as Ahyeong liked to playfully gripe with her brother, she never tried to lay a hand on him. And anyone who dared to do so would be spared no excuses by her, much less by a person with such a notorious history.
Semi visibly gulped at that, lowering her hand and letting out a nervous chuckle, "C'mon, Ahyeong, it was just good fun!"
"You and I have very different ideas of 'good fun', Semi," Ahyeong replied, setting her cup of untouched rose tea down and standing up, the other girls exchanging a look and following suit.
"Now, Gilyeong, what were you here for?"
"Umm..." His eyes moved over his sister, the girls and then to the door, "Eunjung said it was getting dark."
She turned to the guests who stood awkwardly in front of her, smiling wide — too many teeth, she later thought, after her brother commented how she looked like a shark — to hide the beginnings of boiling irritation that replaced her prior panic.
"I believe our time has been cut short, and I'm sure we'll have many opportunities to sit and chat again," God, she hoped not, "let's say our goodbyes for now, yes?"
It came off as more of a statement than asking for permission. There was no room for argument.
Gilyeong was boring holes into his sister's head with how hard he was staring, standing beside Eunjung as Ahyeong waved off her old friends — yeah, right, "friends" — and stepped back inside the foyer.
She had obviously noticed him doing so, because she raised an eyebrow at him, "What?"
"You're fucking terrifying, you know that?"
Eunjung looked affronted and hissed vehemently beside him, immediately launching in a tirade of "where did you learn such language?", "I should put soap in your mouth" and all that jazz. But he tuned her out, focusing solely on his sister who looked at him like he'd grown a second head.
If it was anyone who had grown a second head, it would be her. Because what in the ever-living heck was that back in the parlour?
Admittedly, a weird feeling had been pooling in his gut ever since he had seen a pale-faced Ahyeong entering the first-floor parlour with people who he didn't recognize in the slightest, and upon asking the housemaid, he came to find out they were some friends from middle school.
That immediately sent warning bells tolling in his mind because the grinch having friends? It was unheard of.
Not that he believed Ahyeong couldn't make friends, it was just that she often didn't have enough patience to deal with their bullshit with the workload that their mum often insisted on piling upon her.
When the thread of nerves in his mind had finally snapped in an hour, he all but barged into their conversation — which looked to be one-sided because Ahyeong wasn't speaking at all, only nodding her head at times, and when he looked close enough he could almost see her shaking- no, he wasn't spying on them — and was pretty sure he was the only one who had noticed her struggling to breathe properly.
Seriously, who were these people?
And then he makes a comment that blows one of the pissy girls' wig off and then he's flinching back because the rat's about to slap him and then he's shivering because his sister looks like she's about to commit murder.
Even their father's monthly tennis matches at the country club didn't give him so much whiplash.
He swore the room's temperature had dropped at that moment. He had scrambled to pull up and excuse as to why he had come in the room, roping Eunjung into it, and he thought he'd seen something akin to relief in Ahyeong's eyes.
But of course, that was soon overlooked when she pulled out her baby-eating smile and dear lord, why the fuck did she look like she would rip their heads off if they didn't leave right now?
She looked like a shark out for blood. And now, he told her so.
Ahyeong looked contemplative for a while before she shrugged and walked past him and Eunjung, who was still ranting about his use of such demeaning language — clearly, she hadn't seen him around his online friends when they went on raids in LOLOL — saying a few words that raised a lot of questions about his sister's overall mental well-being.
"Well, better get used to it because that's how the writer wrote my personality."
It was a mystifying feeling to be in front of a place that was inherently fictional but also real. The school in the drama was located at Yonsei University, but this building's address was further away from the original location that existed in this world.
It was beautiful. The hedges, the undergrowth, the ivy hanging off the old building. Students in Saebom's signature uniform milled around in clusters, either chatting idly or rushing off to their classrooms before the bell would ring.
The sun hit the scene just right, making it seem as though the scene came straight out of a painting. Well, it was supposed to be fictional anyway.
Ahyeong breathed in deep, straightening out her skirt and adjusting the nook of her tie that rested beneath her grey sweater vest. The tailored uniform was fitted snugly on her form.
The cast had come off the previous week after the doctor had given the all-clear, and now her legs were adorned by a pair of ankle-length boots, stockings and thigh-high socks.
She glanced at her watch that peeked out under the sleeve of her plum blazer.
7:43 am.
She needed to be at least fifteen minutes early to get her paperwork sorted out before classes began at eight.
With one last exhale to get rid of her nerves, she nodded at Driver Kwon, grabbed her backpack, and stepped out of the car and right into the eye of the storm: Saebom High.
And so, the plot begins.
TURN.

Jac & Amelia
Jac: [So the vibe is evidently just showing up at the pre-drinks at this gfs house, we'll have to be some level of wasted to have the nerve so from the off it's a mood lol] Amelia: [a select gathering of the gays that you weren't invited too, but it's okay because Amelia can't throw you out when everyone else is like yeah come through] Jac: [literally you'd have to make such a drama and that's not you and also no one knows why you stopped being besties so it clearly appears chill from the outside, I vote the club should be a gay one so you have to commit to that hen] Amelia: [agreed because clearly her gf has planned this because Amelia's plan was to go and get that haircut and outfit with her mum so] Jac: [too pure for this bitch, we all know this is just an excuse for her to party like any other night really, which is rude, do something special but no, at least you're simply that hoe so it's not like we even have to work hard here, the flirting is blatant] Amelia: [it hurts my heart because you know Jamelia would have gone IN for each other's birthdays] Jac: [and her last one was start of transition year so they would've still been friends, AND it was her 16th so it would've been really poppin'] Amelia: [brb sobbing] Jac: [thank god jac is also miserable and only pretending to be living her best life or this would be even ruder] Amelia: [and thank god Amelia isn't in love with this gal] Jac: [and that lmao] Jac: [to me it should be like they just straight up make out on the dance floor 'cos her girlfriend is the 'its not a big deal omg!' type but even if it weren't, it is because it's Jac] Amelia: [hence when Amelia loses it it's Jac she's shouting at and being like how could you do this to me etc not her gf] Jac: [mhmm mHM we all know she's barely speaking at this point so she's not gonna say anything and your gf will be going off 'cos she looks the gobby type so you can slap her if you need babe lol] Amelia: [she so is the gobby type, Amelia just straight up dismissing her because this isn't about you babe I gotta scream at Jac rn thank you] Jac: [meanwhile we're just trying to walk away like the audacity] Amelia: [literally like SAY SOMETHING! because is there anything more frustrating than when someone won't react and you're literally 💔] Jac: [there is not, just shouting 'I'M SORRY' ala Tracy because we do not sound sorry at all but she is never a loud person so everyone else is gonna be shook like damn] Amelia: [your aunt Cass would be proud of that, but Amelia just gonna walk away] Jac: [good lord go home gal, or at least a different club lol, also like to point out she has a September birthday so also would've been after Savannah left so that would've been cheery lol] Amelia: [nice parallel because we know Amelia's walking home but fuck knows how far it would be, we're not at Erin's house now hens] Jac: [I'm sure you don't live right in town, your fam seems a suburb type so that'll be a nice trek, you poor bitch] Amelia: [just sobbing the whole time probably, even though she's not a crier like Savannah is] Jac: [you'd have to have a cry, if Jac hadn't gone catatonic as a defence mechanism, she would be too] Amelia: [which is why we're not getting our parents to pick us up because don't wanna be sobbing to this degree in front of them and her mum already hates the gf so we don't want the I told you so either] Amelia: [plus her mum probably thinks she's over Jac by now because we downplaying things forever] Jac: [parents can only be so much of a MVP at this age] Amelia: [I think when they see each other again it should be another argument that turns into Amelia kissing her because that's a trope for a reason] Jac: [yes, you are both owed it without the audience tbh] Amelia: [like I have no idea where they are when that happens, are you gonna show up on her doorstep to have another argument or what gal lol] Jac: [maybe you had somewhere you went together, idk where or what vibe, so you know she's gonna be there, even if it's just a different club and you're outside angsting] Amelia: [ooh excellent, yeah there's any number of places that could be 'theirs' you've known each other long enough] Jac: [precisely, it can be as everyday and unspecial or the opposite as we'd like, Dublin centre is not that big it's not insane to suggest] Amelia: [when do you think that is, clearly pretty soon after because the emotions have gotta be high] Jac: [yeah, sooner rather than later, like we did this for a reason and like you said, it's too frustrating when someone won't react to you] Amelia: [literally could be the next day/night I'd believe it] Jac: [i literally thought you meant the same night so yes i agree lol] Amelia: [omg that's even better tbh] Jac: like you turn round like AND ANOTHER THING, tensions are beyond that high] Amelia: [exactly] Jac: [at least Amelia is angry enough to break it off 'cos the levels of fucks you don't give rn about anything] Amelia: [yeah she's angry and sad enough to be like ffs what am I doing and actually go home] Jac: [thanks babe, we all know it happens but don't need it to literally look like 2nd choice to your hoe gf 'cos it ain't that] Amelia: [how am I gonna start a convo from here because I clearly am lol] Jac: [thank god you both drunk, I can do it if you want] Amelia: [go ahead if you think you can boo] Jac: you home safe Amelia: no, I'm dead in a ditch Jac: great Amelia: it'll make life easier for you, yeah Jac: my life couldn't be any rosier Amelia: 🥀🥀🥀 Jac: glad to see your flare for the dramatic ain't died in that ditch with you Jac: flair, which one Jac: idk Amelia: you took that over from me, remember Amelia: you really fucking did Jac: aren't you impressed Amelia: if you'd got there earlier you could've pushed me out of the way to blow the candles out on the cake my mum bought too Jac: you don't wanna be kids no more? Amelia: yeah, her dad had that brainwave Jac: that is unfortunate Jac: probably a better school than ours though, so she'll be thrilled Amelia: it's my dad's favourite joke threat now Jac: at least you could avoid me Amelia: true, I should call his bluff and take him up on it next time Jac: go for it Jac: it's only me that has to write off this shit school on her uni app Amelia: the rest of your app will more than make up for it Jac: that's the plan Amelia: exactly, so it's not technically a compliment Jac: you're shit at this Amelia: thanks Jac: no, that really wasn't a compliment Jac: not one of your not technicallys Amelia: 😏 Jac: did you get a car Jac: I bet you got a car Amelia: [a picture of it because why not say she did] Jac: just got to pass now Jac: then you can go where you like Amelia: then I can runaway Jac: nah Jac: they'd take you off their insurance and you'd be fucked Amelia: because I'd never drive without insurance Jac: the police would be frantically looking for you as is Jac: that's always how murderers get caught out Amelia: 🤫 you're ruining this too Jac: you fantasize on your own time Amelia: this is my own time, you're home safe Amelia: I don't owe you my full attention now that your 👅 isn't in my ex girlfriend's mouth Jac: have you kissed anyone else Amelia: no Jac: do you regret it being her Amelia: it wasn't you, that's what I regret Amelia: but it couldn't be so Jac: yeah Jac: at least it was a girl Amelia: I'm not stupid enough to kiss any boys Jac: some just call it heterosexual Amelia: and I'm not so it'd be stupid for me Jac: alright Amelia: but I should probably kiss more girls Jac: why should you Amelia: because she'll think all the wrong things if I don't Jac: true Jac: I thought you didn't care about what people thought though Amelia: I'm going to have to find new friends from somewhere Jac: don't you gays stick together Amelia: she sticks with them and I don't want to see her Jac: you move fast Amelia: I don't really have a choice, do I? Jac: I don't need friends Amelia: handy since you don't have any Jac: that's why I don't Amelia: yeah, because you only care about what you need Jac: duh Amelia: did you ever care about me? Jac: don't be stupid Amelia: did you ever care about me when it wasn't because you needed something? Jac: what kind of question is that Amelia: one I need the answer to Jac: we were friends forever Jac: what did I get from it half the time Jac: no more than you did or didn't Amelia: okay Jac: that was a dick move making me answer that when you already knew Amelia: I didn't know Amelia: whenever I talk to you I end up with more questions than answers Amelia: and end up questioning my sanity Jac: you don't need to Jac: your work here is done Amelia: you can't tell me what to do when you don't even do what you said you were going to Jac: so you're going to continue to make a bad decision, just to be awkward Jac: that's smart Amelia: because you have such good reasons for doing what you did earlier Jac: 'course I do Amelia: go on then Amelia: tell me them Jac: already did Jac: I wanted to fuck it up for you Jac: felt great Amelia: there's smarter ways to feel good, and easier Jac: I've tried those Amelia: oh well I loved being your little experiment, thanks Jac: whatever Jac: it needed to be done Amelia: no it didn't Amelia: you keep saying that Jac: you don't get it Amelia: I don't buy into your fake bullshit, no, and that's all you've given me all night Jac: what's fucking fake about the fact I can't stand to have anyone around me happy? Jac: there's nothing fake about misery being the only thing I can stomach now Amelia: you didn't break up your parents or ruin your brother's music career, you sought me out when I haven't even been around you Amelia: you're full of shit Jac: trust me, I'm doing my best Jac: and you're full of shit if you're now trying to say you don't see me every day Jac: and that it isn't the fucking worst Amelia: I thought it was, until you did this Amelia: now I can say today was the worst Amelia: you're so fucking selfish and cruel Jac: nothing has changed Jac: I sped up your inevitable break-up, that's it Amelia: no, you went out of your way to hurt and humiliate me Amelia: everything has changed Jac: if you say so Jac: it wasn't the first time for me Amelia: who are you? Jac: it doesn't matter Amelia: who the fuck are you? Jac: I don't know, Amelia Jac: alright Amelia: you can't treat people like this Jac: then tell everyone what I did Jac: I don't care Jac: you could've done something about it Amelia: what did you want me to do? Jac: I thought you might put up more of a fight Amelia: for what? Against what? Jac: because I humiliated you Amelia: it wasn't the first time for me either Jac: never like that Amelia: I'm not going to fight you Jac: your loss Amelia: I keep telling you, I care about you, I don't want to hurt you Jac: I wish you'd stop Amelia: I wish I could Jac: yeah Jac: well Amelia: it's my loss, like you said Jac: don't worry, I've got my own Amelia: that makes me feel loads better Jac: it should Amelia: it doesn't Jac: you're infuriating Amelia: says you Amelia: I'm so angry at you Jac: because I wanted you to be Jac: that's the correct response Amelia: no, because I love you too much to hate you Amelia: because it won't go away Amelia: and I don't want to feel like this for the rest of my fucking life no matter what you do Jac: I don't have the answer Jac: If I could make you stop then I would Jac: but I don't know how Amelia: me either Jac: there's nothing I can do if you don't hate me by now Jac: I dropped you for Savannah Jac: I did everything I did tonight Amelia: I was there, I don't need you to recap Jac: I couldn't have made it easier Amelia: there's something wrong with me, there must be Jac: not as bad as me Amelia: my mum said at the time that I fell in love with you years ago and I can't expect to fall out of it in a few weeks or months Jac: logic adds up Amelia: she thinks I'm over it now so clearly not Jac: you probably said you were Jac: or near enough Amelia: the girlfriend thing kind of said it for me Jac: yeah well Jac: I've had loads of boyfriends Amelia: you're not in love with me Jac: I meant it doesn't mean anything, necessarily Amelia: yeah Amelia: my mum is more old fashioned though Amelia: romantic or whatever Jac: more romantic than your girlfriend, yeah Amelia: 🙄 Jac: she wasn't good enough for you anyway Amelia: I'm not good enough for anyone Amelia: I'm literally still in love with someone else who isn't them Jac: it isn't that simple Jac: you can feel things for more than one person Jac: you just, didn't for her and she wasn't worth it Amelia: maybe other people can but I don't Jac: how would you know Jac: it just hasn't happened yet Amelia: I'm too self aware if anything Jac: that's some lesbian nonsense Amelia: I'll put it in my bio then Jac: tinder Amelia: I'm not kissing that many girls, she'll definitely think all the wrong things Jac: be kicking herself, like Jac: or is it only okay when she does it Amelia: probably Jac: just like a lad Amelia: 😣 Jac: awh Amelia: I can't be bothered Jac: with girls? Amelia: I'm not trying anymore, you didn't keep your promises anyway Jac: what does that mean? Amelia: it means I don't care, my life can stay the mess you wanted it to be Jac: alright Jac: not like I can turn around and say 'no don't' now Amelia: and if you turn around you won't see me Jac: what? Amelia: school, I'm not doing it either Jac: shut up Amelia: online maybe so my dad doesn't rage Jac: that's bullshit Amelia: so is this Jac: no, fuck you Amelia: 😂 Jac: so you all get to fucking leave and I'm the one stuck dealing Jac: nah Amelia: I've got nothing to stay for Jac: it's school, no one does Jac: jesus Amelia: you said yourself it sucks having to see me every day Amelia: I'm doing you a favour Jac: you are ridiculous Jac: you think you can just run away like this is some shit indie song Amelia: I've tried the alternative Amelia: it didn't go great Jac: you think Savannah is bad? at least her parents made her go Jac: you're such a spoilt brat Amelia: I don't think about Savannah Jac: you don't think about anything Jac: christ Amelia: your audacity is another level Jac: your stupidity is worse Amelia: yeah, I've proved that loads of times over Jac: fucking hell Jac: your life is so hard, Meelie, yeah Jac: everyone thinks its my fault, what happened to Is Jac: and the more she says otherwise, the more it sounds like it was Amelia: no they don't, I don't Jac: well you love me so you're clearly insane and a bit biased Amelia: even if I hated you I'd still know that you weren't the one who assaulted her Amelia: it's his fault, nobody else's Jac: me and Sav still ran like we had something to hide Jac: that's all anyone cares about, working out what Amelia: you were scared, in shock probably Amelia: you felt like it was your fault Amelia: that doesn't mean it was Jac: all I know is she's fucked off, no one will say anything to Is, so it's all down to me, whatever people wanna say or think about it Jac: so yeah, sorry I think your idea is fucking laughable but been there, done that Jac: didn't solve anything, it only made the rest worse Amelia: I know it's a stupid idea, alright Jac: you can't go, alright, you just can't Amelia: you know I'll fight the whole school before I'd ever fight you Amelia: I'll do it for you too, if that will help Jac: Yeah, I do Jac: nothing will help but Jac: at least you're still here Jac: nothing else is the same Amelia: I'll be in detention every day for the next 2 years if that's what it takes to shut people up Jac: I don't deserve it Jac: or anything but hate from you, and I do fucking know that Amelia: you don't deserve to get the blame for being there and being her friend Amelia: I should've been too Amelia: and after it happened we should've talked Jac: maybe it's just karma Jac: I've never been a good friend to her and by the time it happened Jac: well Jac: I made you leave Amelia: I ruined our friend so I had to leave Amelia: *ship Amelia: that's not your fault either Jac: maybe it is Amelia: it's not Amelia: I shouldn't have told you how I felt Amelia: or been jealous of Savannah Amelia: or made such a big deal about the date you went on Jac: no Jac: I get it Jac: you weren't wrong Amelia: I did the wrong thing by leaving you and Is Jac: I couldn't wish the alternative on you Jac: having to stick around and watch Amelia: I still had to watch Amelia: I couldn't go that far Jac: I know it's my fault because it happened again Amelia: what? Jac: Savannah Jac: I kissed her Amelia: I don't understand Jac: you should have been jealous of her Jac: I mean Jac: you know what I mean Amelia: you mean you felt something for her Jac: I didn't want to feel any of it Jac: but she was straight and you weren't so having her around was meant to be easier Amelia: why didn't you just tell me? Amelia: you lied and lied and made me feel crazy Jac: because I feel crazy Jac: I fucking am Jac: I just Jac: it's not like I left that conversation and told her Jac: I kept on and got with lads and pretended to like it, tried to Amelia: everything you said, everything you did Amelia: oh my god Amelia: I can't Amelia: I can't take this in Jac: like I said, it's fucking karma Jac: I fucked it with you and it happened to me Amelia: I'm supposed to feel what, that she queerbaited you? Happy? validated? Jac: I don't know Jac: probably Amelia: did you know how you felt about her when I told you how I felt? Jac: why? Amelia: because you told me over and over again that you liked boys and you'd change that if you could Jac: yes, and I told her the same thing Jac: and I acted accordingly Amelia: I've spent so long feeling horrible for putting you in that position and none of it was real Jac: it was real Jac: I don't want to be Jac: I want to be straight Amelia: it isn't a choice Amelia: and you can't just twist everything to make it one Jac: acting or not acting on it is Amelia: so why did you choose to act on it by kissing her, if that's what you think? Jac: it was a mistake Jac: when we left Jac: after Is Jac: and it was just us Jac: then it destroyed everything and she's literally run away Amelia: and then you destroyed what was left after she'd gone Jac: yes Amelia: great Jac: I'm aware Amelia: are you? Amelia: for years I thought things were one way only to be told they weren't and now you're telling me an entirely different story again Amelia: 🤯 Jac: because we don't live in the ideal world where I accept myself for liking girls and I choose the right one and we live happily ever after Jac: we live in the world where I kissed Savannah and she looked at me like I was the boy who assaulted Isabelle Jac: and that's how I feel about it, and I would rather pretend to be straight forever, and have no real friends again, than have to do that, and feel that disgust again Amelia: we live in a world that doesn't revolve around Savannah fucking Moore Amelia: because she doesn't accept you, you can't accept yourself? No Jac: it's not her fault Jac: the rules don't make no fucking sense Jac: do you know how often she told me she loved me, how beautiful I was, and smart and perfect and kind, that she wanted me in her life forever? Jac: but that doesn't mean she wants to kiss me Amelia: that's why it literally is her fault Amelia: she flirted with you more than I EVER have, or would dare to openly do because I would get called a predatory lesbian and she gets likes and follows Jac: but she meant it Jac: I know she did Jac: that's just friendship to her Jac: it's too confusing Amelia: you want her to have meant it the same way you did, like I wanted you to with me Jac: but I did Jac: I lied Jac: so I know it doesn't make a difference now Jac: but still, you weren't wrong and I did, I am, whatever Jac: it was shitty to lie, I know, I accept it Jac: but she meant it all but she is straight...how does that work Amelia: I don't know Amelia: straight people are weird Jac: I don't want to find that relatable Jac: I want to be normal Amelia: I'm not abnormal, shut up Jac: fine, straight Jac: I don't want to ever have to think about this ever again Amelia: why do you want it so bad? Jac: so I don't feel like this Jac: the not knowing Jac: how much it hurts Jac: boys are easy, I told you Amelia: because you don't like them Amelia: if you were straight you'd get hurt just the same Amelia: you said it, Valentina's no different than a lad Jac: lads just like me Jac: I've never kissed any lad and had them recoil Amelia: they liked me too, it doesn't mean I had to like them back Jac: I mean it's not the same Jac: if a lad didn't like me, he'd have reasons Amelia: loads of girls like you too, I was friends with them for a bit, I heard all that gossip Amelia: Savannah's reason is that she doesn't like girls, any of them Jac: but she loves me Jac: more than she ever did Ty, I fucking know it Amelia: not like that, like Is loved us Jac: I can't stand it Amelia: I know Jac: you know I am sorry Jac: don't you Amelia: yeah Jac: you just had come so far and had done so much work Jac: it wasn't fair Jac: what I did wasn't, but it wouldn't have been to act on it, when I wanted so badly to be straight, for everything I did tell you to be true Amelia: no, I was in exactly the same place that we left each other in Amelia: you're not the only one who can lie Jac: I'm just so sorry but that's worth fuck all Jac: I hate how stupid all of it seems now Jac: redundant Jac: but that's close to a fair punishment, I suppose Amelia: you've already been punished Amelia: and sorry always means something when it's a real one Jac: I feel Jac: I don't Jac: I'm broken Jac: I don't even want to be a person now Amelia: I don't want to find that relatable Amelia: but it is Jac: fuck's sake Jac: see, why would I choose this? Jac: even if they're weird, this never happens to straight people Amelia: of course it does Amelia: Savannah's parents are fucked Jac: just because they don't love each other no more Jac: when they got together, I'm sure they both knew Amelia: still, her mum's so broken she's barely a person Jac: all I'm saying is we're getting dangerously close to comparing being gay to a mental illness Jac: which is what homophobes say and I'm not trying to be the confirmation Amelia: it's not being gay, it's loving the wrong person Amelia: there are happy gays, I've met some Amelia: and your brother isn't being held back by it Jac: don't get me started Amelia: Jude's love life is messier than his Amelia: more dramatic Jac: he'll end up with a girl Amelia: you don't know that Jac: wait and see Amelia: yeah, I'll stalk him from afar like a fangirl Amelia: 🤢 Jac: it's not the same either Amelia: you love a competition Jac: yeah, this is so much fun Jac: him and Jude are the same Jac: it doesn't mean anything to them, so they aren't getting hurt Jac: they don't care, it's not serious Amelia: you've got me, we're very much the same Amelia: in this anyway Jac: I don't want to love anyone ever again Amelia: then don't Jac: that's why I have no friends Amelia: yeah well you don't need them, that's the line and the lie, right? Jac: it's not funny Jac: I can't be trusted Jac: with any kind of relationship with a girl Amelia: I'm not laughing because me either Amelia: I make bad choices and I'm proven stupid, remember Jac: it's so fucking isolating Amelia: school is anyway Amelia: we're all in boxes Jac: you never used to hate it this much Amelia: now you understand how much I hate everything Amelia: how exhausted I am Amelia: it'd be nice to have the solidarity if it wasn't so horrible Jac: I'm just trying to get used to it Jac: accept it Amelia: at least you don't have to see her every day Amelia: maybe that'll make it different Jac: I never get to see her again Amelia: you don't know that either Jac: I do Jac: she's unlikely to stop by when she's seeing her mum Amelia: you verbally recoiled from me, ruined my birthday, nobody would call it likely that we're talking Jac: naive optimism is exactly what got you here Jac: don't even need to scroll for the reminder Amelia: ouch Amelia: you always find new ways to hurt me Jac: you really did just say you made bad choices and were stupid Jac: continuing this conversation is just another one for the list, probably Amelia: I can say it and do so you don't need to Jac: alright, alright Amelia: you're blocked though, this is the only place you could try to Jac: I could make another post but the point has been made well enough I reckon Amelia: it's not my birthday now so there's no point Amelia: ⛅ Jac: sod you then Jac: don't want you getting the wrong impression Amelia: 😂 bit late for that Jac: yeah Amelia: my dad'll be up soon I'll just wait ☕ Amelia: don't need you to entertain me any further Jac: you gonna tell him about your shit birthday Amelia: I'll tell them both we broke up and they'll be thrilled Amelia: it's all they want to hear Jac: you can tell them it was my fault, it doesn't matter to me Amelia: why would I do that? Jac: dunno, but having someone else's parents take over and shout at me for a bit might be mildly entertaining Amelia: they think I'm over you, they want me to be better Amelia: I'm not going to ruin the lie Jac: rude Jac: but fine Jac: guess you don't owe me Amelia: no, I don't Jac: enjoy your coffee then Amelia: it'll taste disgusting like it always does Amelia: the biggest lie of all Jac: you aren't as exhausted and sad as you say you are Jac: the taste would've been acquired by now, you massive child Amelia: I've had to hide it longer than you Amelia: I'm just more skilled and hilarious Jac: so you're better at being sad? Jac: and I love a competition 🙄 Amelia: 😏 Amelia: I've acquired a taste for anything with a high enough alcohol content, there you go Jac: I was drunk before I got there and that was still apparent Amelia: haven't needed stitches yet Jac: that's something Jac: anyway, how'd you figure you've had to hide it longer? Amelia: because I have Amelia: you were sitting pretty on a ☁ with Savannah for ages Amelia: nothing could touch you up there Jac: that's where you're wrong Amelia: I'm not letting you win again Jac: 😏 Jac: it's not like I was fucking boys because I thought I wanted to Amelia: okay 🏆 no need to make me cry thinking about that Jac: they aren't that bad Jac: well, usually Jac: just not as interesting, it didn't make sense Jac: why we would waste time we could be together instead Amelia: it's really sad Amelia: as 💔 it was seeing you with lads, I thought it was at least what you wanted Jac: they aren't the ones that made me 💔 Amelia: I know but Amelia: I can't imagine doing that, or how it would make me feel if I thought I had to Jac: well you're much softer than I am Amelia: excuse me, it took you years to break me, Savannah did the same to you in 1 Amelia: you're not that hard Jac: I think that says more about Savannah than it does you Jac: but alright Amelia: right, because she's so perfect Amelia: I actually can't compete Jac: shut up Amelia: it's true Jac: it isn't that simple, I keep saying Amelia: it's as simple as you've already said, she's straight and I'm not Amelia: it was safer for you, except it wasn't Jac: you make it sound Jac: ugh Amelia: isn't it? Jac: you think I'm a right cold, calculating bitch Jac: and I'm not saying you're wrong but it was nice when you thought otherwise Amelia: we can't go back, you really drilled that into me Jac: I know Jac: oh well Amelia: oh well? that's the best you can do, yeah? Amelia: doesn't sound very calculating and well planned out Jac: because it's all over Jac: the only thing I've got left is uni and the career I want Jac: nothing else can or is going to exist Amelia: that's more than I've got Amelia: I haven't exactly been concentrating on my app Jac: well you're going to run away and find your Thelma aren't you Amelia: you ruined that fantasy with reality Jac: yeah right Jac: you're still a hopeless romantic Amelia: with a 🚗 I can't drive yet Jac: have you had any lessons yet Amelia: no Amelia: I keep asking my dad but he's always too busy Jac: go ask him now Amelia: I've drank too much to go now Jac: well duh but he'll feel so bad for you he'll make time tomorrow or whatever Amelia: and we're back to calculating Jac: someone has to if you wanna be wild and free Amelia: 😂 Jac: how early is it Jac: will the library be open Amelia: it's weird that the library is still open at any hour Amelia: you're literally the only person who ever goes there Jac: excuse me, only child Jac: you try and study with a house full of annoying kids and dogs Amelia: I'm fine with a 🏠 swap, I don't feel like studying Jac: yeah only if you make it permanent Amelia: you wouldn't take my guest room for a night, I don't think I'd be able to make that happen Jac: because you were there Amelia: rude Jac: sensible Amelia: nothing's going to happen Jac: yeah exactly Amelia: what does that mean? Jac: it means we aren't going to be friends Amelia: why not? Jac: I told you why Amelia: I'm not asking you to care about me, I'm saying I'm here for you Jac: No Jac: I wasn't joking when I said I can't have friends Amelia: I know you weren't Jac: that includes you Jac: especially you Amelia: okay Jac: okay Amelia: good morning then Jac: 👋

Sandy woke up to the soft sound of water running. She got up noticing her lack of clothing. Last night, Arthur and Sandy had a lot of 'catching up to do'. She smirked, walking into the bathroom, seeing Arthur already in the shower. Arthur's dyed green hair was dripping down his back.
"Hey, your hair is melting." Sandy joked, as she stepped in the shower with him.
Arthur chuckled, turning around, kissing Sandy's cheek.
"Everyone's looking for you. You know that right?" Sandy spoke softly, as she ran her fingers through his hair.
"I know. I'm famous. More so than that Bruce Wayne kid." Arthur bragged.
Sandy laughed. "Joker has really made a name for himself."
"You know it. I'm the king of Gotham." Arthur pulled Sandy close to him. "And you're my queen."
Sandy smiled, but her smile shifted into worry.
"What's wrong?" Arthur smirked, with brief concern in his eyes.
"It's nothing, dear." Sandy threw her hands around Arthur's neck, pulling him into a his.
Arthur kissed down her jaw to her neck.
"Arth-" Sandy's moan was cut off with a hush.
"Joker." Arthur whispered, nuzzled into her neck. Arthur bit her neck hard, drawing blood.
Sandy pushed Arthur away. "Fuck, Arthur. That hurt." She yelled.
Arthur laughed. "I'm sorry. It wasn't meant to hurt you."
Sandy smirked. "Looks like I gotta hurt you now."
Arthur's interest was peaked. He turned off the shower nozzle.
"I'm gonna hurt you so bad." Sandy drew out the word 'bad'.
"Oh? How are you going to hurt me, Sandy?" Arthur teased.
"You'll see." Sandy leaned over biting Arthur's ear.
Arthur moaned, laughing. "That didn't hurt."
Sandy pulled back, placing her hands on his jugular. She tightly squeezed it.
Arthur gasped. His eyes widened as Sandy smiled sweetly, squeezing harder.
"Sandy. S-sandy." Arthur choked out.
Sandy chuckled. "Oh, baby. Doesn't it feel good."
Arthur nodded. He felt her long nails scratch down his neck, leaving marks.
Sandy took her hands off Arthur's throat. "Lay down." She demanded.
Arthur obeyed, feeling his blood pressure rise. He felt mesmerized by Sandy. He had never seen her so dominant before. It was almost if she made a transformation herself. In this moment, he didn't feel like he was inside Sandy, but inside someone controlling her.
Sandy got on top of him, putting her hands back on his throat.
Arthur grabbed onto her hips as Sandy grinded onto him, rocked back and forth on him. He felt himself be in and out of her without lifting a finger. He felt the pressure rise inside of him.
"Tell me, Joker. Could Harley ever ride you like this? Could she make you her bitch? I didn't think so. You know damn well that I can fuck you better than that ditzy blonde. You're already yearning for me, boy. You just try to cover it up with your tough guy person. I know that's all a facade. Doesn't it feel good, Artie. Doesn't just feel like heaven?"
Sandy smirked, keeping a tight grip on his neck, but leaving it a little loose. Red marks appeared all around Arthur's neck as Sandy dug her nails deeper.
Arthur went wild. He had the biggest grin planted on his face. The feeling was too much. He gasped tiny moans as felt himself release. He tilted his head back, breathing heavily.
Sandy let out an breathy moan, leaving her hands to go limp, and fall onto Arthur's chest.
Arthur looked at Sandy with half-lidded eyes. His hand crept up to her cheek, rubbing it softly.
"I love you, Sand-" Sandy cut Arthur off with her lips.
"Dolly." She whispered.
Arthur smirked. "Dolly." He repeated.
Ruth woke up early. Usually, she would wake up after her mother made her breakfast, but today seemed different. Ruth noticed clothes sprawled all over the living room.
To her notice, she also saw the ashtray filled all the way up with cigarettes. Sandy never smoked that much unless she was really stressed out.
Ruth saw him in the kitchen. His green locks shined in the light of the morning sun, smoking a cigarette. Ruth hid behind the kitchen wall. Another thing she noticed was he was wearing her mother's robe. Ruth looked up at him, cautiously.
Arthur saw Ruth's copper hair again the kitchen hallway. He defused his cigarette and walked towards her.
Ruth froze as her eyes met with his.
"Hey, honey. What are you doing up?" Arthur asked, looking down at the frightened girl.
Ruth stuttered. "I was, uh, just getting some, uh, milk."
Arthur smiled. "Oh. Is that right? Ruth, is it?" He asked, trying to remember his own daughter's name.
Ruth nodded hesitantly.
"Your mother picked a beautiful name." Arthur sighed, disassociating.
Ruth looked at Arthur strangely. "Why are you still here, Mr. Joker?" She asked, still very frightened by him.
Arthur didn't understand why Ruth was so afraid of him. He didn't have his clown makeup on. "What's wrong with me staying here?" Arthur asked, kneeling down to Ruth's level.
"My mommy will be upset." Ruth said, obviously making up an excuse. Truth be told, Ruth didn't trust Joker, then again, she didn't trust really anyone. Ruth was told that people in Gotham were cruel and mean. It was up to her to fix it, and make Gotham a better place. Of course, many people would disagree with her.
Arthur chuckled. "Well, your mother would've already kicked me out if she didn't want me here."
Ruth froze. "Um, well, I don't want you here." She stuttered.
Arthur feigned sadness. "Oh, looks like I'm gonna sleep out on the streets." He mocked, fake crying.
Ruth felt bad. "I'm sorry. You can stay, but my room is off limits."
Arthur smiled again, pulling Ruth into a hug. "Thanks, Ruthie. It means a lot to me."
Sandy stood in the hallway, fully dressed. "Ruth, come over here." She called, from the living room.
Sandy sat Ruth down, gently. "I'm sure you've gotten well acquainted with Joker, here."
Ruth nodded. "Why is he here?" Ruth whispered, hushed.
"It's complicated, my dear. You see, Joker is, well, your father." Sandy uttered those words hesitantly, expecting Ruth's reaction.
Ruth's eyes widened. "This isn't true, is it? Mommy?" A tear fell down Ruth's face.
Sandy's face soften as she wiped the tear of her daughter's face. "It is."
Ruth looked over at Joker, then looked back at her mother. She furrowed her eyebrows for a sec, then all emotion wiped off her face.
"I'll be in my room, Mommy." Ruth spoke, monotonously. She pushed past Sandy, and slammed her bedroom door.
Sandy sighed, frustrated. She felt immense guilt about lying to her daughter. Keeping the charade up for this long wore on Sandy.
Arthur lingered in the doorway, smirking. "She'll learn to like me. I may not have fantastic looks, but at least I have a charming personality." He mocked, flopped onto the couch next to Sandy.
"You have good looks too. You're easy to fall for." Sandy smirked, nuzzling up to Arthur.
"Awww, shucks, Dolly. You're too kind." Arthur smiled.
Sandy smiled. "You got me falling for you even more."
Arthur smirked, kissing Sandy softly on her lips. "And, I've gotten very attached to you. I thought about you a lot. I couldn't keep my mind on anything else in Arkham. The first time you didn't show up to our visits I was worried. It was so lonely in the hospital. I just wanted you in my arms. When I was let out to the common area, I spoke to no one. I isolated myself, until Miss Quinn said I was spending too much time lingering on the past. I would roll my eyes. I didn't care much about what she was saying, but she promised me freedom. I like to think about that morning me and you met. How elegant you looked. You remember, don't you? In that very elevator, you actually talked to me, and looked at me in a way no one had before."
Arthur held Sandy close to him, softly petting her hair. "I never want to be apart from you, again, Sandy."
Sandy's head rested on Arthur's chest, hearing his rapid heartbeat from his ribcage.
"Who was Harley Quinn in Arkham, anyway?" Sandy asked.
Arthur let out a frustrated sigh. "She was psychiatrist that lost her mind in Arkham. I don't remember how, because I didn't really listen to her. I do remember meeting her in the common room."
Arthur scoffed. "She said she couldn't stand to see me in Arkham, seeing as miserable as I was. I told her that I needed someone to watch after you, so she did. Harley told me she wanted to escape this hellish life in Arkham and wanted to run away with me. I don't remember the answer, but it wasn't no. I was upset and heartbroken, because I was convinced that you left me. What changed my mind about Harley was because she threatened to hurt a kid."
Arthur paused for a second, feeling the rage build up in his chest. "Before, I even knew that she was my kid." Arthur trailed off.
A loud scream came from Ruth's bedroom. Sandy and Arthur both got up and headed for the door.
"RUTH!" Sandy yelled, kicking down the door.
The window was broken, along with vines crawling up the window.
Sandy dropped to the ground sobbing.
