Paralympic swimming is an adaptation of the sport of swimming for athletes with disabilities. Rules for the sport are adapted from those set forth by the International Swimming Federation (FINA). Swimmers compete individually in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, individual medley, and as teams in relay races. _ Swimmers are classified according to the type and extent of their disability. The classification system allows swimmers to compete against others with a similar level of function. The first Asian multisports event for athletes with a disability, the inaugural Asian Para Games was in 2010 in Guangzhou, China after the 16th Asian Games. The 2nd Asian Para Games was held in 2014 Incheon, South Korea. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. Another one of them is POWERLIFTING. _ Basically... Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. As in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, it involves the athlete attempting a maximum weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates. But, since this is powerlifting in Asian Para Games, therefore, it is an adaptation of the sport of powerlifting for athletes with disabilities.
