I think the reason I really enjoyed Midnight At The Pera Palace as much as I did is because of the talent in which Selahattin Peşali and hazal Kaya brought Halit and Esra to life

The chemistry is unmatched and so is the yearning. but the acting? Ughhh you could just feel Halit’s passion, his joy and his love for Esra and then his devastation time and time again.

You could just feels Esra’s wonder for the world she’s uncovered and her determination to fix her wrongs. You could also clearly see how her childhood trauma shapes her personality and decisions

I need a season three ASAP

I'm trying to understand why Ahmet didn't bring Lili with him to the future? During the entire season, he emphasised how he didn't have enough time with her because of certain circumstances (i.e. his age, her tuberculosis, and wrong timing), so he blames himself for not staying when he could've saved her.

When they part, his answer that his time is no better than hers is absurd, considering the fact that she was kidnapped and almost killed within the last 24 hours-- I'm pretty sure 2022 is definitely better.

I know Ahmet doesn't approve of Halit travelling to the future either, but isn't it the simplest solution to everyone's problems? Lili would have access to modern medicine, she'd be free to pursue whatever she wants, and be happy and safe. And Halit can be with Esra, because he's proven time and time again that nothing else matters but her.

The world didn't collapse into itself when Halit disappeared for more than a decade - it was simply ruled out as a disappearance. And he assimilated into the '40s quite easily, so why can't it be the same in 2022 with Lili and Halit?

What is the point in Ahmet saying he would never leave Lili's side again, only to do exactly that in the finale? Am I crazy in thinking that he's being really stupid? There's so much unnecessary heartbreak between the two couples this season.

normally I don't take recommendations from tiktok (since all of them have disappointed me) but I started Midnight At The Pera Palace, and I'm hooked!

Ahmets story is truly so devastating and possibly even more complex than we think and I believe we still have plenty of things to uncover about him in season 3 of Midnight at the pera palace.

We all see his trauma that stems from his ‘mother’s’ suic*de and the fact that he never got to know his father. In fact this is the very issue that affects him when he when he passes through the Gateway of truth

We also saw how he basically lost Lili not once but TWICE (they seem to part ways at the end of season 2)

But I think a lot of us forget he served in WW1. How did that affect him? How did that contribute to Ahmet as a character ?

Additionally I have doubts on Ahmet’s parentage. Firstly, in season one , Sonya her self used the Gateway of truth and looses the baby. Perhaps that was her price to pay. But wasn’t that baby Ahmet ? Or do Halit and Sonya conceive Ahmet later on? But when ? Because after Esra leaves in season one Halit follows soon after.

Is it possibe that we are missing something? What if Ahmet isn’t Sonya’s child but rather Esra ? Or what if Ahmet himself has a deceptive heritage just like Esra did

Maybe I’ve missed something but yeah I doubt Sonya is his bio mother and that we’ve seen the last of his story.

I finally finished S2 Pera Palace and I'm.... speechless. I have tears streaming down my face, but I'm also so confused? I really hope they explain this mess and somehow keep Esra and Halit together... but I don't see that happening realistically.

Halit's mind is probably torn between, "Oh my God! She kissed me!" And, "This is the second time she's kissed me and then run away!"
